Sep 16, 2022Doom, but without any sort of level design! You get locked in a room, have to clear out multiple waves of enemies, then go to the next room. Then repeat like 4 more times until you get to a boss. But they added a rhythm mechanic! Not that it actually makes the game more fun; it only limits the times when you can attack.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 25, 2024What sets the game apart from other massacre games like Doom, however, is the fact that weapons and your accuracy aren't the only factors affecting your ability to destroy. That X factor is in fact the music, which serves not only as an atmospheric backdrop but also as a crucial mechanic. [Issue#322]

Nov 20, 2022Metal: Hellsinger is a heavy metal FPS that feels like a love child between Doom and a rhythm game. While the lack of variation in its maps and boss battles is a pity, killing hordes of demons while listening to one of 2022’s best soundtracks is an exhilarating experience for sure.

Nov 16, 2022Metal: Hellsinger is definitely worth your time. Because of the music, the carnage, and the very unusual gameplay with tons of potential (even though it is a short game).
