    If you like the mass effect universe, this game ist great! Way bigger then the the prequels, good characters, good main and side missions. Bad ratings probably mostly due the glitches when it was released (which were patched in the meantime). I played it with a new computer in 2020 and it's absolutely AMAZING. 70hs to finish it and worth every minute.

    Mass Effect 5! I'm looking forward to the next game already. :) Yes, ME: A is great, and has restored my faith in the ME series. Well, it was a mess when first released. Therefore, I held off buying it. Finally got to play it in December. By then, most of the bugs have been patched. Thus, the gameplay with buttery smooth. Facial animation was great too. Between November and December, IMass Effect 5! I'm looking forward to the next game already. :) Yes, ME: A is great, and has restored my faith in the ME series. Well, it was a mess when first released. Therefore, I held off buying it. Finally got to play it in December. By then, most of the bugs have been patched. Thus, the gameplay with buttery smooth. Facial animation was great too. Between November and December, I played Quantum Break, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Hellblade, Tales of Berseria and Tales of Zestiria. Among all these quality titles, I had the most fun on ME: A! Hope to see an ME5 in the near future. And, EA, PLEASE, release a bug-free game and stop destroying the ME brand! :(… Expand

    the animations and some dialogue aside, this is an awesome game. I am 35 hours in and have only been to half of the available planets you can visit. I couldnt help but do research before the game came out :)

    I really care about the amount of content a game brings, and this game brought a lot.     A diamond in the rough, its exactly like Mass Effect 1 in every good and bad way. Reasons/excuses aside the animations are obvious in its flaws especially if you'd come from a game like Witcher 3, however I'd argue that the game picks up tremendously well after the first few hours. Companion sidequests and banters are what makes the game a memorable joy later and visually the environmentsA diamond in the rough, its exactly like Mass Effect 1 in every good and bad way.     I havent palyed any Mass Effect before but I'm a huge sci-fi lover. And this game has everything that sci-fi fan can wonder of. Every true sci-fi fan will love this game. Despite of some technical issues that has been already fixed, this game have tons of "climate", incredible soundtrack and realy good story.

    This game is probably, no, easily, the best in the series thanks to the new free-movement combat system, the more relateable characters, and best/most companion missions. It even has the best multiplayer mode. The graphics+engine also blows many other games out of the water.

    Are the facial animations bad? Yeah. So what. You get used to that after a couple hours.     It's really sad such an amazing game can fall victim to so much stupidity. Developers and gamer alike should no longer pay attention to this site or it's reviews. People have figured out how to game it, and use it as a way to attempt to punish devs for anything they don't like. I have seen some people who threw the whole game away because there are gay people in it. Because it presents romantic relationships in a more organic way, and some of those potential relationships are of a homosexual nature. Ya, a guy hit on you. Guess that deserves giving the game a 0? Grow up.

    The game's premise is intriguing from the outset. As you begin to unlock mysteries of the new universe you are confronted with challenging combat and enemies, unique, new characters and quests, and a new squad that has some truly great moments together as well as some hilarious lines.

    If you are familiar with the other games in the series, there is a lot of heart from the original game contained within ME:A, but this is a great starting point for people to jump into the series. The new storyline was extremely interesting. The universe and maps are vast. The voice acting is top notch. I'm a PC player, and had almost no technical issues or facial animation issues on my playthrough. Andromeda is at its core about story, characters, species, and relations among its new inhabitants to the new galaxy. I recommend hardcore difficulty for a challenge on the first playthrough, difficult, but not too difficult.

    Overall, after a 70+ hour campaign with quests left to do, I felt extremely satisfied and immediatly wanted to begin another playthrough much like how I felt after ME:1. While I was initially skeptical, ME:A makes me excited for the future of the franchise. If you compare the features from ME:A to ME:3, the game makes huge leaps in terms of customization, crafting, researching, incorporating and improving multiplayer, the graphics are awe-inspiring at times. The level design is unique especially among the different worlds (Frost, heat, jungle, and tech). ME:A is made to make the player feel like a true space explorer (For example, yes maps are huge, but that's how planets would be, vast, sprawling with points of interest scattered about the map). ME:A only makes you drive around the map once to unlock drop points or fast travel points to make it simple to quickly travel about the large maps. However, the first time exploring these giant planets is still a great experience to feel as if you are truly in another galaxy.    … Expand

The game emphasizes exploration and story and does both very well. The combat is fast paced and harder than in ME 1-3. There is a heavy emphasis on making Ryder YOUR character. Instead of the black and white (or rather, red and Blue) Paragon/Renegade choicesAn admirable addition to the Mass Effect universe. There is a heavy emphasis on making Ryder YOUR character. Instead of the black and white (or rather, red and Blue) Paragon/Renegade choices from the first three games, your dialog choices are based on response type, e.g. snarky, professional, etc and are more grey. This allows you to decide how YOUR Ryder acts in a given situation. The writing isn't on par with Mass Effect 2 by any stretch, and let's face it, Mac Walters is a decent writer but can't compare to Drew Karpyshyn. Still, the story makes sense and fits the theme of the game and the individual character developments are well-done. There are, however, some characters that don't sound right. Director Tann is voice by Kumail Nanjiani who was very good in Silicon Valley. His voice just did not fit as a Salarian. There are others but overall the acting and writing is done fairly well.

    People complain about the animations and while there are some noticeable animation failures, Andromeda still has much better animations than any of the previous games.

    Ultimately, this game is focused on exploration of both a new Galaxy and new characters. It does both well, though there is room for improvement. The game is worth playing, very much so,    … Expand

People with too high expectations from the previous series and complaints about bugs that will be ironed out.     So it is a rare occasion when I decided to step in and write a review. The game is amazing and is head and shoulders above ME 2 and ME 3. The game is beautiful and gorgeous, with tons of voiceover. There are so much love and details in the game that it really sad to see tons of toxic comments and poor marks. The game is huge, and fun to play, there are some repetitive quests but they areSo it is a rare occasion when I decided to step in and write a review.     took me 80 hours to enjoy every single bit of the story - i cant understand ppl rating this game with less than 8 points, maybe because everyone rushed through the main campain and didnt event focus on the amazing lore!

    A great game nonetheless. I have always want more explore option in mass effect and this game give me exactly that. Also the combat is great and there is plenty of things to do in game. Can't wait for more

    I don't understand the hate here. I think this game is solid. It's fun, choices seem meaningful. and the story is good. Aside from a few visual issues, the game is great. If it didn't have the ME tag on it then it would better received. A lot of this hate is unnecessary, this is definitely a 6 at the least.

    About 10 hours in. Game is pretty great. Writing is on par with the rest of the series. Some odd VO delivery and lip sync issues every now and then. The animations are not top notch but certainly not the end of the world others are treating it as (it is comparable to the rest of the series, which is all any fan really wants at the end of the day).     Combat is massively improved and much more engaging despite losing some of the tactical nature of previous entries.
    World design is superb.
    I'm loving scanning all the things for lore.
    As always, their alien design is top notch and the new entries are just as breathtaking as our old favorites.
    I would give it 8, but will be leaving a 10 because a glance at the bad user reviews shows the Gamergate wackjobs are out in force against Bioware (par for the course).    … Expand

    Installed it again after quite some time and finally got 400 hours with this game. The companions are unlikable you are unlikable. One can say a lot of bad things about the game. Nevertheless the multiplayer mode is still the most fun shooter experience out there in my opinion and for 400 hours of good entertainment i think it's fair to give it a 10.

Combat is great, graphics are great, story is okay, atmosphere is excellent. If you liked the other Mass Effects, you will love this game. Go pick it up, you won't be disappointed.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let me caveat this by saying that I have a pretty average rig, but experienced no technical problems with the game about 30 hours in. I take it from some of the reviews that this hasn't always been the case. The short version is, I am loving it, despite its flaws.

    Going through, I will highlight a few things and make particular note of the flaws. Please be aware that I am doing that.

    Story - I liked that they flipped the typical save-the-galaxy script in Andromeda. Entering a new galaxy, trying to get civilization kicked off again, and dealing with new found problems are all a welcome and interesting background. There was no homeworld-like sense of loneliness, or awkward tension prior to meeting other races. It feels like you arrive and jump right into the fray.

    Pacing - Part of the problem with jumping right into the fray was meeting a bunch of characters too fast - I felt much more attached to the characters I added later that were more directly involved with the story than any of the ones I started with. The rest of the story can take awhile if you're going through everything and thats fine by me, although as usual travel time is annoying. Weapons and armor actually feel different and are paced well, but they are so numerous and complicated that they have their own issues.

    Questionable Design Choices - a lot of the menu/quick access issues that Dragon Age: Inquisition had were only somewhat fixed here. The game is massive both in terms of the world it gives you and the types of things you have to do in it but you can only access things from certain places. For instance, there is no reason I shouldn't be able to send a strike team on a mission from anywhere on a planet. Why do I have to leave on the Ship or be at the Nexus to do this? Ditto research and development, colony communication, SAMs location and conversations limits, etc.

    Size and Scope - the game can feel very overwhelming sometimes. This is one of the reason a lot of the weapon augments almost feel like too much. Or perhaps its the billion quests that you receive from different locations throughout the game. I like the scope, but it can be hard to get a handle on if you're trying to do everything.

    The rest - Graphics are nothing earth shattering, which means I can comfortably run it on my aging computer. The combat system is freaking excellent, and the multiplayer strike teams that help your single player campaign seem like a cool idea (still haven't done them yet). There are great characters in the game, but it takes awhile to find them.

    Ultimately: I've spent almost 30 straight hours playing this over the weekend, and I really enjoyed myself. The game pulls you in, like the ones before it. The design decisions that haunted Dragon Age: Inquisition, for me, are still present - slightly bettered but not done away with. The size and scope can feel overwhelming and the script is off and on. It helps that I had no technical issues with the game as of yet, but there is the foundation for something great here, and the game is a heck of a good time.    … Expand

    this game look awesome, i know, some bugs there or there, but this will be finally patched soon, then not problem for me, i play this with 5 years old pc and i can play smoothly , single and multiplayer, and i know many guys crying saying BS about this, but if u are enough mature u can understand and know what u want.

I admit, you wont get the entire picture if you don't do ALL of the content, but the primary story line still gives you a glimpse of what is taking place in Andromeda. The game also did a great job setting up the rest of the franchise...well, if people weren't complaining about bugs that happened right after the release of the game...which, lets face it...bugs happen at the launch of literally every blockbuster game since Halo 2. You'd think that people would be used to this.

    The environments look great, the lighting and rendering, texture quality and performance were all great in Ultra with a 1080 nvidia graphics card. The explorable portions of the world were vast and traveling around was very quick once you acquire all the shuttle points. I always started the planets by acquiring these points...it just makes everything easier later.

    After about 20 hours of gameplay, or 6 hours if you stick to primary story missions, the game really opens up and you can go and do whatever mission you want at any time. There are several different mission types that you can do. Many revolve around relationships or story development, but there are a few unrelated and fun quests mixed in there as well. When I completed the 'movie' mission (you'll know when you get it), I genuinely enjoyed its conclusion because by the time it finished, I had developed a strong connection with the primary characters personalities. This is a huge reason why I scored this game a 10...story and personal relationships with characters.

    Gameplay: Awesome! People complain about only being able to use 3 abilities...but you can change these out at any time based on encounter situations. You dont always need to go to a shuttle or your tempest loadout locker just to switch abilities. Im level 64, I have 4 sets of 3 abilities that I swap whenever I feel like it and its totally fine. All you have to do is swap your set! (you will have to figure out how to do that though, lol)

    Ui. I will admit, this one took a while to figure out. I thought about downgrading to a 9 because the Ui was pretty rough to get into and fully learn everything thats going on...but in the end i kept a 10 rating because I DID learn it, and it was fine. I did not feel like it was a detriment to the overall experience because when youre in the Ui, youre just kind of dicking around anyway and looking for things. Most inventories in games are **** until you learn it!

    The game is great, I very much recommend it for anyone looking for a spacey action rpg with enough story stuff to get you invested in the characters and world.

This game is a true open world RPG. Absolutely amazing. It is more like ME1 than ME2 and 3. That is a good thing! The story is great and not a boring garbage pail like Witcher 3.     This is best Mass Effect Game yet and what I love about it most is that they don't really have to make another Andromeda game again, they can just keep adding expansions to this game. There are quite a few bugs in the game but nothing that completely impairs playability. I would like to see the ability to colonize more world's and develop a real civilization in this Galaxy.

    I would like for them to maximize the amount of pods that can be released, having people still stuck in pods at 100% viability doesn't make any sense. I would also like to be able to maximize the levels to unlock in Multiplayer; which is not PVP. But the PvE Multiplayer is challenging enough to complete with a group of players.

    I did not buy this game for the Multiplayer side of the game. The Storyline is awesome and I really hope they build expansions to this game while potentially running a storyline in the Milkyway Galaxy that could at some point connect the two Universes together... maybe with the discovery of a really insane fast Wormhole that can turn a 600 year trip into a substantially fast jump from Andromeda to the Milkyway.

    Either way this game is a 10 even with the flaws and setbacks....    … Expand

    Gameplay is phenominal, I literally cannot put it down. 10/10
    The story has me engaged, It starts off a little slow, lots of talking but it's a whole new franchise so it needed a set up. 10/10
    Game looks beautiful even just flying looking for resources on planets and asteroids to actually being on various planets. Wow is it very often breathtaking. 10/10
    Bugs and glitches? Nothing game breaking pretty standard stuff for such a large game 9/10
    Multiplayer? Honestly I am torn because I want to play more of it but I don't want to drop the campaign but the multiplayer was just like ME3 but way better and I loved that. 10/10

    if you are saying this is an ugly game its because you have a lowend pc. Im running 1080 sli with a 3440p wide screen on ultra with everything on ultra. it blew me away. the dialogue is about as strong as the first mass effect.

    its like exactly like the other mass effects. if you dont like dragon age or the other mass effects dont buy it. combat is a lot more polished but it feels nothing like a fps. the moment you use push and pull combos and send people into orbit... makes that clear.

    Andromeda lays a great foundation and if you move past the limited and gated trial and actually play the game its fantastic. Even most the reviewers have pointed out EA made a mistake only allowing review of the first 10 hours. I agree with them. I have completed 98% of the game and it took me over 77 hours ( I did a lot of very optional side content).     The main story is solid, the character stories are strong and in some cases really touching, and the lore is fantastic. This game lays an amazing foundation for future games very much like ME1 did originally. The fighting mechanic is the best in the series. I know some people want to control their companions in combat and I respect them, I like this approach but like I said I respect their opinion.
    I like the crafting, love the Nomad especially on one of the later game worlds with low gravity. I love reading the lore as I discover it and engaging in conversations with everyone.

    This game like the original ME1 has glitches and some mechanics that aren't great, but if games don't try new things they don't evolve and that's no fun. This game has the same issues each of the ME games have had at the begining. What I like about Bioware is they will make the effort over a long period of time to keep improving it. But they have created the foundation with ME:A for a great new saga. If you have a man crush on Shepard you can't get over this may not be the game for you. Thats a different story, with a different tone, in a different time with very different objectives.

    So I have been confused how off the bat there was so many 0 - 3 with such negative comments. Until I started clicking around a bit and realized these were account created specifically to bash this game. This tactic has been used before. No surprise there is a very loud, very angry group who hate Bioware or have a vendetta against this game who are making a very concerted effort. The positive comments are rolling in and the major reviews have made the key point that is a great game with some challenges and glitches to be fixed. That is accurate.     After playing 200+ hours of this game is turning out to be really good. The story really opens up about midway through, game play is amazing. really great battles, the story does have some good twists that caught me off guard. This game has something for everyone. I've already got my money's worth. I'll be playing this game for some time.

As good as HZD was, I was having a hard time completing the map because gameplay and combat becomes boring quite quickly. I plan to just rush the story for that one.     Overall around 8.5/10 on my scale. With ME 2-3 being around 9.5.

    The story is outstanding and engaging, there are some graphical bugs though in my playthrough (60 hours) I encountered 3, none of which were game breaking. Bioware strives to make characters interesting and mysteries intriguing, I'd honestly say they succeeded with this game.

I've played all four of these games and seen them played at least 5 times each on Twitch and can verify that yes, none of them are perfect. For me, this game gets an 8 out of 10. Its fun, the story is totally fine, yes it has some bugs like every other game, and the multiplayer is great! And dont even get me started on the movement system and powers system. They are amazing. Is it as good as Witcher 3, Zelda, and any other game? I have no idea! Because last time I check, this is Mass Effect, not the Witcher 3.

    For people who enjoy Mass Effect, you will really enjoy this game. For people who enjoy shooters, space, and exploration, you will love this game. The dialog choices are literally the exact same as in Mass Effect 1 - 3. I'm sorry but people need to take off the nostalgia glasses for 2 seconds, because if I remember correctly one of the biggest choices in Mass Effect 1 which literally defines issues you will face in the next game is killing the console. The massive huge dialog choices leading up to that is Joker asking you should we kill them and you saying yes or no.     The story and lore are perfect , best I have seen in years. The story is high-brow and very intelegent study on human life , relationships and the nature of exploration.     I say the story is amazing because I really feel like it captures the loneliness, fear, anxiety, uncertainty, and wonder of being thrown into another galaxy where we know very little about it. The story feels similar to Stargate Universe (which was actually my favorite Stargate series). Plus the events that unfold when you arrive add a sense of mystery to the overarching story.

    I also like that the characters that become a part of your crew are mostly regular people with pretty normal backstories, and that doesn't mean they don't have character depth or development. On the contrary they have a large depth to them if you continue talking to them and you find out more about their personalities. It's refreshing that these characters don't have some kind of "special" backstory that make them exceptional people because that happens in nearly every game (including previous Mass Effect games) and it gets old. Having normal people with good personalities around you is refreshing and it adds to the realism of the story of these people starting a new life in a new place far away from our System.

    There are some tech issues in the game, but no show stoppers. Overall I'm very happy, and I'll leave you with this: I was playing several games when this came out: Ghost Recon Wildlands, and NieR: Automata and now Mass Effect Andromeda has pulled me in enough to drop the both of them and finish it first before returning to them.     It's everything Mass Effect one was supposed to be. I am having a blast. The combat is great. The story is actually interesting. I like ryder so far, the main character. The first 4 hours were not very engaging but the game has opened up a lot after that and I'm looking forward to all the discoveries my crew awaits!

    Same as other games in my opinion. I'm having fun but it hasn't blown me away yet. I like the combat but agree the facial expressions suck... but to be honest I'm two screening the dialog anyways instead of intensely staring out their expression like everyone else must be.

    Antes de comprarlo guiándome por las criticas y comentarios me esperaba un bodrio de juego y pensaba que habían arruinado la saga como paso tantas veces con millones de juegos clásicos que marcaron épocas. Repito lo compre por el nombre y nada más y me lleve una grata sorpresa.
    llevo mas de 90 horas enganchado y puedo decir que el juego esta muy bueno, tanto o mejor que la trilogía de shepard. la verdad no entiendo las criticas negativas. si bien el juego tiene algunos bug y el modelado de personajes en las conversaciones en primer plano no esta a la altura de los anteriores el juego compensa con muchas mejoras en otros aspectos y pienso que como punto de partida de una nueva saga es exelente y tienen mucho para ofrecer.
    en resumen lo que me gusto:
    + graficos (en calidad ultra los escenarios se ven hermosos)
    + historia principal (sin ser magnifica esta bien llevada y atrapa)
    + jugabilidad
    + efectos de sonido y música (cumplen su función sobradamente sin llegar a ser espectacular)
    + juego muy largo horas y horas de diversión ( si bien es lógico en estos juegos las misiones secundarias se dividen en unas muy buenas e interesantes y otras repetitivas y vacias)
    lo que no me gusto:
    - el editor de personajes muy limitado (la verdad no te deja crear un personaje a tu gusto)
    - el modelado de personajes en primer plano en las conversaciones. (dejan bastante que desear aunque nada tan horrible como la critica quiere hacer creer. Aparte en ningún momento arruinan la experiencia de juego..)
    - un problema puntual que hace que el juego a veces se congele cuando estamos terminando con un enemigo (critical shot) (con una gtx 970 y 16gb de ram el juego se mueve estable a 60 fps en ultra por lo que no veo problemas de optimización en el juego el tema es un error puntual que hace que el juego se congele unos segundos cuando estamos por matar algún jefe final por ejemplo.)
    En conclusión :
    para ser un juego tan grande es normal que tenga sus errores y problemas que solucionar y mejorar en próximas entregas; también es normal que teniendo la vara tan alta con la trilogía anterior nos pongamos exigentes y sean inevitables las comparaciones pero les puedo decir que el juego esta a la altura de un mass effect con todas sus letras.    … Expand

    The nostalgia pink glasses are SO strong with this game, replay the old mass effects, and, aside of the facial animations (again, they are atrocious in andromeda), there's a lot of aspects that people seems to have forgoten, or they just don't remmember how they were made in other Mass Effects.

    The one thing that I hate, is the feminist agenda, that's laughable, every single girl on the game is a "normal girl" a.k.a absolutely horrible so feminist don't get triggered. Beyond that, you can;t even make a white character in the game besides the default one.

    Gameplay wise, is miles ahead of the rest.

    The game pays a lot of homage to Mass Effect 1, the first game in the Original trilogy and you can feel that this is still a Mass Effect game, even without our beloved Commander Shepard. It's a great game on its own, it has its issues but in the long run its nothing that takes away from the overall experience, which is a good experience.

    The combat gameplay is what really shines through, the fluid animations here are great and presents very enjoyable fights against foes. I also like how they've made it possible for the players to form their own kind of classes by mixing powers, it invites you to try new and different things out and that in turn leads to replayability value. The Multiplayer is pretty fun, but not much has changed from ME3. It's like a very improved version of the mp that we had in ME3, and with the new combat gameplay it's a whole lot more fun. The new mobility invites for new types of combat aswell.

    If you love sci-fi then you will enjoy this game, BioWare may not know how to animate faces properly, but they do know how to build immersive and interesting worlds. Epic game that I'd give 8/10, but since I've seen firsthand the kind of undeserved hate it is getting because it's somehow popular now to hate on BioWare and ME, I will give it a 10.     The Scanning aspect is quite interesting. I think people complain too much about this but I rather enjoyed it. it adds another layer of detail to the world that you have the option to explore. Most of the time the game tells you when you should be scanning but you can also do it just to find more details about technologies and histories of the items around you.

    Overall I am very happy with my purchase and don't agree with the negative reviews, but I respect that this experience is very different than previous Mass Effect games and so maybe it is something people will appreciate more in time.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let's get something straight. It's not a 10/10 game, but I feel that with all the hate and 0-3 reviews it's getting, it deserves all the help it can get getting to a fair rating.
    What's the opposite of hype? That's what happened to the game after all stupidly negative previews that came out pre-launch. Most of the things people were complaining are now gone. Facial animations, although never a strong suit with Bioware, are much better than what was shown earlier. Same with the movement. Some people mention lip syncing - are you serious? Lips are moving perfectly in line with the dialog - they open when they need to open, they close when they need to close. And there's no game where the engine allows mouths to actually form an O, so how is that a valid complaint?
    Relating to the voice acting - are you actually f-ing serious?? There's ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with the voice acting! You like some, you hate some - just like actual real life, where I have a colleague or two I wouldn't mind punching just because of the way they talk and sound. But it doesn't sound fake. It doesn't sound bland. Sure, random non-important characters might not be top notch, but name one game that does not have those.
    The writing is not that bad either - most of the quoted conversation lines demonstrating "how bad it is" are either gotten out of context, or came from the same person, that maybe, just maybe, was intentionally written like that. Because... You can't have Nobel prize, miss universe like characters everywhere. Here's an example - one line that was made fun of was "his heart was broken before it exploded." Yeah, written like that it sounds bad. But with a little bit of context *SMALL SPOILER* - An emotional girl after a Kett attack on their group, recollects the moment where a friend of hers (and their leader) was betrayed and shot by his best friend. The leader looked shocked at the betrayal and was shot dead by a Kett weapon as well (skipping some details for spoiler sake), literally exploding his chest. The girl telling this points out he very clearly saw his face and his surprise. What's weird with an emotional recollection that he died with a broken heart?
    Are there technical issues - the game is officially running on my PC non-stop for 24 hours (started it up via a Korean VPN pretty early on the 20th) and I've not seen a single FPS drop, crash, or any kind of bug so far.

    Most of the reviews hare are **** don't fool yourself thinking otherwise. First time I see critics give a game a fair score, but I'll start trusting those more. The gaming community is cancer at the moment. Just see what people say about Horizon: ZD. It's insane!

    Your biggest "red flag" about the rigged scores is the fact that there are so little mixed reviews - and the fact that Negative reviews point out "I don't like the writing, the gameplay, the graphics, the voice acting or anything!", and the Positive actually point out examples, and give both pros and cons about the game.
    Because the game IS NOT A COMPLETE FAILURE.

I haven't had a single graphical glitch, and not a single gameplay crash. People harp about facial animations, but I am 90+ hours into this game, just started NG+ play through, and am enjoying the game thoroughly.     This game doesnt deserve the hate that it's getting only thing it lacks is a polish. stop following the hype train of hating this game. I have 30+ hours into this game and the only thing that breaks emersion is the bugs and frame rate drop. If I was giving the game an honest review it would be around 8 or 7.5 according to how the game ends.

    - Tempest is magnificent. Those views... The crew isn't stuck in one room, no more loadings;
    - jetpack is just PERFECT;
    - dynamic fights, never getting bored;

    - easter eggs!;

    and what is the most important - I feel that is Mass Effect game. At some episodes I've even been forgetting that I'm playing not as Shepard, but as Ryder.

    i like this game and i think its awesome including the quirks. i see where people are coming from when they say that are weird animations sometimes. personally im not too bothered by it. I think the entire lore world looks quite stunning and i think its a fun rpg in this scfi setting. Combat is fun too. im happy with the experience.

    This game is being unfairly destroyed. I am a fan of the saga and when you play it you feel you are playing a Mass Effect. I recommend you to buy this game if you really like Mass Effect 1 and 2. But if you are looking for something similar to ME: 3, don't buy it.

    The only 'meh' thing about this game is the beginning. It is indeed clumsy and weirdly improbable - mainly due to characters' behaviour.
    But - omg - just get through rocky start, and things that happen next are just magic (and Member berries, yas). I absolutely fell in love with Reyes Vidal who is my new Garrus. Peebee - hectic and just 'trying too hard' in the beginning, turned out to be nice and in no way annoying. Characters and events turned out to be deeper and more, well, likable. There are some tough choices, awesome combat, vast galaxy. It kinda feels like ME1 - like an introduction, not deep enough yet, but so promising.

    Great game, the story, characters, mechanics and gameplay are really good. There are some bugs and the animations (looks like it's the only thing people care about nowadays, to the point to riot against Senior animator - from another company- ) could be improved.     I seriously don't know why people are complaining this much about ME:Andromeda. The 0/4 scores are purely from fan-boys or people hating on something particular (like the animation non-sense I talked about before), there is no way that this game could have that low score.
    Finally, I stopped caring about these silly ratings a couple years ago, and some AAA games with really low score were a surprise. The only reason I'm making this review is for the people who really wan't to know if this game is good. If you liked the other Mass Effects, you will like this one too.    … Expand

    This game is super fun, it is beautiful and the characters are lovable and interesting!! It makes me want to complete every quest and try every route. The new galaxy and characters don't have the same emotional attachment as in the previous games eventually had but it has potential. Ryder in particular isn't "black slate" type of character like Shepard. Her dialogue fits her character very well regardless of option.

    There are some nitpicking that bothered me a bit scifi-wise. With those quantum entanglement communicators one would think they'd place one on Milky Way to keep communicationg with the fleet. Less emotional attachment to the characters too, though I like the crew. Game also starts bit slowly and there is lot to take in when it gets going.

    But I didn't even notice that those "facial animations" are supposedly bad. Wow.    … Expand

    I don't get the modern players, what did they want in good games ? I have been playing games over two decades and I can say only one thing, present players base don't know, what they want. Today nobody tolerate mistakes, everything should be perfect from the start. There is a cure: start watching yourself in mirror, it works wonders. I was constantly curious of what laid ahead next and I am not just talking about the main story. There are many different items to find, develop, and research so it feels really rewarding when you get something ultra rare. The combat isn't perfect either, but it is fun and it hasn't gotten old for me. I actually almost didn't buy this game because of all the negative reviews and crap on youtube. That being said, i went with my gut feeling and bought it. I am still glad i did. This could have been game of the year if the issues that everyone has been claimed about been fixed. I am going to give this game a 10 just to even out the negative, even though its actually a 8 for me. If you liked the previous games of the past or just like sci-fi space games in general then just buy this game.… Expand

    En serio? E llegado a leer análisis en metacritic de auténtica dudosa veracidad, el mismo día de lanzamiento,un día después, dos días después, unas horas más tarde...! Criticando ( a parte como no de las animaciones faciales ) la propia historia y las misiones secundarias

    Que esta pasando con esta nueva generaciones de "jugadores"? No hay universo más haya que Fifa calle of duty y battlfield?
    Y que está pasando con aquellos jugadores con ya cierta veterania? Son como aquellos "cinefilos" que sólo ven con buenos ojos películas de hace 30 o 40 años? Son de los "todo lo pasado es bueno y lo de ahora es malo?
    O simplemente carentes de personalidad que repiten lo que dice la multitud? Sin haberlo probado si quiera, y es más, con el único afán de desprestigiar un gran juego y poder influir negativamente a otros a bases de mentiras

    Bueno, dejando de lado mi cabreo, y con razón, voy al tema del análisis.

    La historia, la narrativa, fascinante, impecable, típico de esta saga, te mete de lleno nada más empezarlo, y cadaptadores vez notas cómo va aumentando, esas ganas de "quiero más", quiero saber que va a pasar a continuación. No quiero indagar de que trata, en parte porque creo que todo el muno lo sabe ya, pero solo diré, universo nuevo, desconocido, olvidate de Sephard y sus compañeros, y deja las comparaciones y los sentimientos a parte.

    Los diálogos a mi gusto han cambiado a mejor, ya no solo hay "chico bueno/ chico malo revelde" ahora es más bien "como quiero expresarme" tienes para escoger respuestas con lógica, técnicas, con el corazón, con cabeza, casual, profesional...

    Ahora hablemos de la optimizacion, tan criticada también, pero han dejado algo a salvo? Están a gusto con algo?

    Pues solo diré que con mi equipo, una gráfica nvidía gtx 960, con un procesador AMD FX 6300 y 8gb de ram, que se supone que me debería ir justito en calidad baja, me va genial, de verdad, en calidad media, y apostaría que aún podría ajustar algunos aspectos a valor alto y me seguiría yendo fluido, con una media de 40/50fps en juego normal y una media también de 40/50 fps en las escenas de animación.

    Apenas lags, apenas "trabadas" todo genial.

    Y bugs? En serio tienen tanta cara algunos de decir que tienen bugs que te hacen imposible seguir jugando? Me rio yo... y llevo 13 horas de juego.

    Luego son los que le dieron un 10 al famoso juego aquel de "bugthesda"

    Mal optimizado de verdad? Otra mentira más derrumbada.

    Luego el tema del krafteo de planetas, modificaciones para hacerlos habitables, el nuevo sistema de desarrollo e investigacion y desarrollo de armas armaduras y aumentos, es bastísimo, con 3 tecnologías diferentes a desarrollar, y si te gusta todo ese tema, te tirarás horas tan solo con ello.

    Los Cómpañeros geniales, olvidad a los anteriores de las viejas entregas, repito, para los nostálgicos, no hay un Sephard, hay un nuevo Pionero que empieza de cero, a si cómo algunos de sus conpañeros.

    Buenas conversaciones y buenas interacciones con ellos, se hacen muy interesantes y pronto los vas cogiendo cariño.

    Las misiones secundarias repetidas? Bueno, algunas si no hay que engañarnos, como en cualquier otro juego del estilo, pero para nada como algunos quieren hacernos creer, es más, la mayoría son diferentes y poco tienen que ver unas con otras

    Luego está el tema de recolectar minerales, escanear animales salvajes, flora y faúna alienigena, realmente interesante. Mucha atención al códice pues te va dando información muy valiosa.

    Los gráficos a mi gusto son maravillosos, incluso con mi equipo actual se ve fantástico

    Vayamos a la tan polémica de las espresiones faciales... como e dicho, un YouTuber con muchas ganas de fama. En ningún momento en mis 13 de horas de juego que llevo, e visto esas semejantes cagadas publicadas en ese dichoso video... a si lo digo.

    De verdad, comprarlo, no os vais a arrepentir, en tal caso os arrepentireis de no hacerlo.

    Y tiene pinta de ser el inicio de una nueva saga. Deseándolo sinceramente.

    I just created this account to review because this game does not deserves the bad reviews , when i started playing i was not optimistic , beetween the sjw crap and the constant stupidification of games we have seen the last years (like fallout 4 new conversation system or mass effect 3) i was not optimistic at all.

    But this game was better than what i expected by much , in fact it was the first game since fallout new vegas that got me playing non stop every minute that i had free.

    The good:
    _Mass effect 2 dialog system but better
    _Mass effect 1 exploration system but much better
    _Your squad members are very interesting and have great quests not just a "do this and im loyal" but actually quest that unlock other quests.
    _An incredible ammount of interesting side quest that you really dont have to do but are there to do if you want , this is epic because its like a fallout game , you have epic quest that could never do if you did not care.
    _The combat system is great , basically you have mass effect 1 exploration with mass effect 3 combat.
    _The main story is great.
    _You actually have many character reactions to everything that happens in the story.
    _The feeling of being alone in a dangerous galaxy is there.

    The bad:
    _The animations are not as good as in mass effect 2 or 3 but considering that this game is longer than mass effect 2 and 3 combined and it has a masive number of side quest it is not really a problem ,mass effect 2 and 3 where more about cinematic effects about a story.
    Andromeda is more about exploration like mass effect 1 so the animations are not as good but they are not terrible as the bad reviews say.
    _There are some animation bugs but they are really minor and will be fixed.
    _The fact that the game is based on exploration makes me think that ea will force bioware to sell a **** of DLC before they start working on a second game to finish the story.
    _The vehicle for exploration should have weapons , its really not as much fun exploring if you need to stop to fight some idiots in the way , this was better in mass effect 1.    … Expand

    Postcard-pretty landscapes is pretty much all that there is good about Andromeda. They serve as backdrops for a boring, cliche-ridden, somewhat demented story with forgettable characters and even more forgettable missions.
