    I just spent about 20 minutes writing up a fairly comprehensive review on this terrible, horrible game, but then I realised it's so bad it's not even worth that.

    Please, I implore you, do not buy this game.     It is still plagued by bugs, has awful controls and incredibly underwhelming combat, and this is a year after release. It is not worth your time or your money. I wish I could have every hour I spent on this game back.    … Expand

    Maneater is fun for a couple of hours but then it gets extremely boring and repetitive also the graphics is outdated and there are only a limited number of upgrades.

    * Locked down to a terrible storefront (Epic) I regret picking it up and would recommend against buying it. Wait until it's very very cheap on Steam. I can see why the developers took the Epic bribe in this case - they had no confidence in the game and after playing it, it's clear why - they wanted the guaranteed sales cash from Epic.     Игра не просто на один раз, она на один очень скучный раз. Шутки диктора, которые вам начнут надоедать уже когда он начнёт их повторять 3-й раз, есть сюжет, но, мы в нём лишь зритель, как будто кино смотрю, вы решаете только как вы будете выглядеть и то, дизайна тут не много, 3 модификации всего на каждую часть тела. У скинов есть способности, чем уродливее, тем полезнее.    Посредственно.

    Деньги за игру вернул, основной контент постиг играя с учётной записи товарища, я считаю, игры с DRM - покупать не стоит, не кормите тех кто мусорит в вашей системе ради защиты чужой интеллектуальной собственности.    … Expand

    Underwhelming clone of a licensed game (Jaws Unleashed) with worse combat. Big dumb empty world where you collect points for irrelevant upgrades as only one set up upgrades is actually viable. Story is cute, I'll give it that. Everyone will have the same experience with this game, despite being open world it is extremely linear, I recommend just watching someone else play it on youtube.     If you want a new kind of rpg, with a deep story, lots of content and innovative gameplay then you need to find another game.

    The core concept of the game (being a shark, evolving and killing you way to your final form) is pretty fun and the gameplay is easy to master but that is all that this game can be : a funny short experience.     You'd think they there won't be any feminism in a game about a shark. But you'd be wrong. The game keeps telling you how you're a badass and a female, while all the evil shark hunters are stupid redneck men who can't say even one short sentence correctly..

    It's bad. Controls are not responsive, every battle is too chaotic with rapid camera movement, sloppy animations and no brain work involved at all. Pretty much every quest is the same like eat 10 fishes A, eat 10 fishes B, kill 10 men here, kill 10 men there etc. Also performance is a mess, FPS drops quite often and sometimes (rarely) the game just crashes.     Extremely repetitive boring game, the novelty of being a shark wears off after about 2 hours. If you enjoy spamming attack and then doing the same 3 mission types over and over and over then this is a game for you. Story is pretty terrible and comes to such an abrupt ending you wonder why they even bothered to include it.

    Go and kill ten fish, go and kill 10 humans, go and kill 10 fish back over there etc etc etc. If you enjoy this then by all means play it, if however you want something that doesn't get boring within 2 hours go and play something else.    … Expand

    If you get through this game without getting motion sick, you have a stronger stomach than I. This game needs way less camera shake. The plot is terrible. Avoid, I'd say.

    A failure of entertainment media in every direction. You play as a shark and eat people and things. That's it. Graphics are outdated, sound effects are cringey, story is severely lacking, controls are abhorrent. If there's anything good i can say about Maneater is that it can be used as a fine example of what not to do when developing a video game. Stay out of the water for this one.

    They make a point of mentioning that you're a female and a feminist shark, and all the bad guys in the game are male.
    It's free on Epic right now, and I still wouldn't recommend it.

    Эту игру я бесплатно забрал в Epic Games, в магазине который можно считать самым худшим магазином игр, из-за обрезаного функционала в сравнение с Steam, далее моё мнение об игре. Настолько плохо сделать игру, нужно ещё постараться. В игре не работает полноэкранный режим, игра разворачивается почти на весь монитор не считая пары пикселей, из-за чего вы будете постоянно вылетать на рабочийЭту игру я бесплатно забрал в Epic Games, в магазине который можно считать самым худшим магазином игр, из-за обрезаного функционала в сравнение с Steam, далее моё мнение об игре. Настолько плохо сделать игру, нужно ещё постараться. В игре не работает полноэкранный режим, игра разворачивается почти на весь монитор не считая пары пикселей, из-за чего вы будете постоянно вылетать на рабочий стол, также при каждом входе в игру ваши настройки сбросятся до стандартных, например разрешение сбросится до 1776 X 992 при разрешении вашего экрана 2560 X 1440.

    Basically "action shark game for rednecks". Low-brow humor, annoying voice-over narration, highly repetitive and shallow gameplay, basically non-existent plot/campaign. Was bored with it after just an hour, even playing in 4K to try and make it look as good as possible. The gameplay really is just that lackluster and repetitive. "Clickfest" is more of an accurate description, withBasically "action shark game for rednecks".     I was having fun with it. Then the game decide to wipe my 12 hour save file.
    With this game having no replay appeal I feel like I just waste my time.

    Wird schnell langweilig,lvl grenze bei 30 obwohl Gegner bis lvl 60 werden lvl cap wird nur durch Kauf vom Dlc erhöht frustriert einfach, an sich wäre es sonst kurzweilige Unterhaltung

    Much like no one ever sees a shark attack coming, Maneater is a gem hidden in an ocean of offerings and those who find it will be in for a precious and fun experience.
