    a 10/10 game i don t care about them being lesbians it doesn t matter as long as a character is good is going to be liked regardless of his sexuality nowadays if people don t accept a gay character because it s stupid and bad as a whole the developers are going to call u homophobic like wtf

    The finale of Life is Strange fell short of expectation. There are too many plot holes at the ending of the game. The only two endings felt really forced and everything you played from episode 1-4 didn't really matter in the finale. The story would work well in a movie or set of movies, but not in a game where you put your hours on the first 80% only to be wasted on the remainingThe finale of Life is Strange fell short of expectation.     it's refreshing to see a modern setting with teens, and a mystery you gotta solve. gameplay is limited, the main gameplay element is weird but at least somehow new. story and characters are alright. played once, wouldnt play again.

    The story and the dialogues are very bad. The mechanics are just standard. This game needs to be great story because this game is not fps or another type. And it is not gives us great story or dialogues. This game looks like animation movie with standard story and need to take imdb 5 maks.

    One of the very best and most memorable gaming experiences of my life. I played it in 2015 and I can't get it out of my head to this day and probably never will. The characters, the story, the music, the atmosphere, the world created in game. Everything is perfect. I don't remember being so moved multiple times during walkthrough in ANY other game I played in my life. A masterpiece. Can'tOne of the very best and most memorable gaming experiences of my life. I played it in 2015 and I can't get it out of my head to this day and probably never will. The characters, the story, the music, the atmosphere, the world created in game. Everything is perfect.     This entire experience was wonderful for me. What I like about the episodic releases is the waiting inbetween and how the community interacts and waits with each other. But even if the entire game is out, it's worth playing. The gameplay offers more than just 'a walking simulator'. Though the reason to play this game are truly the atmosphere, music, characters and the story. Nowadays it'sThis entire experience was wonderful for me.     in terms of setting is beautiful, each scene is full of artistic details and accompanied by music.
    This game asks for decisions so it is not recommended for the undecided. Finally, two bugs, which are funny, are presented (or at least happened to me) in the polarized episode. definitely one of my    great game, excellent story, you can identify with the characters and their stories.

She is an aspiring photographer, and the local Institute offers the best training course in the state. But we've all read Stephen King and watched twin Peaks: it's never really quiet in quiet country towns.
    The story begins with a murder. Or rather - with an amazing resurrection. Max, chasing a successful photo, accidentally sees the death of an innocent girl. In fear, the heroine stretches out her hand, screams loudly, and is somehow transported back to her classroom ten minutes earlier. Now the future can be prevented.     While it may start out rocky, LiS draws you in with good character writing, an intriguing mystery and a great soundtrack. Just for the ending, this is a must-play.

    It's not just a game it's a great experience of your life
    If you haven't played this game I would definitely recommend it. Be sure to experiment And thanks Square Enix for this game

От некоторых эпизодов просто сносит голову, в прямом смысле. Конец 4-го и вроде конец 2-го или 3-го эпизода просто делает такую вещь, от которой просто оху******. В игре есть выборы и это очень радует (конечно, они все пойдут в мусорку в конце, ну да ладна). Музыка годнота, особенно в меню после каждого эпизода. Конечно как по мне, немного графон мультышный, еслиб эта игра была по графике как ремастер RE2, то это был бы еще один шедевр (я не графодрочер, просто мне лично совсем немнго режет глаз эта графика).… Expand

    What an absolute waste of time and money.
    With that said, I decided to give Life is Strange a try... and oh boy do I regret everything about it.

    First thing that messes with me is the mouse sensitivity, either you put that thing ALL the way down and make navigation in menus insufferably slow, but your camera doesn't fly round when you're in character mode... or you just have 2000% motion blur all the time but are able to normally use your menus.

    So... Starting a new game! Now, as a brand new player to the series, at least that's what I would consider myself, I went all in on the tutorials, getting things explained and show, little did I know I would have to sit and just read for hours before the game itself even started... or well, the game tutorial started. at this point I was already considering whether this was worth it since this lowered every expectation I already had... I mean how can I be expected to remember all this stuff with no way of getting it explained again unless I have to break the pace of the game ,minimize it and google stuff?

    So getting to moving around... barely, every time I move what seems no more than 10 meters, there's a new pop-up telling me "this is important and you do it like this, which will affect the world you play in" generic message. Cool choices matter, I get that by now.

    So (extremely) slowly and with a ton of pauses because of explanations, I FINALLY get to the combat section of the tutorial. And what do I get... never before have I had to read that much to understand a combat system. I could go on about the wall of text new players are met with.

    After finnishing reading more stuff about this minor obscure detail in combat, I get to the actual thing... It's worse then Skyrims system. Extremely clunky, free-targeting-city unless you choose one specific target... which somehow always ends up in the back ranks so you might as well retarget, and suddenly, that target is in the back ranks... oh my lord. At this point I'm about ready to give up, Heavily discouraged by what feels like The Shakespere Collection in text that has to be read and understood, and utter stupidity in combat systems. But I press on becuase there has to be some light at the end of this tunnel.

    So at an all-time low in-game, I decide to atleast try to get some more exp so I can be at least somewhat useful... Oh wait, let's pause the game becuase during the tutorial we didn't make you read about skill points,
    Just great...

    After actually giving up on reading and just wanting to mess around, I slam my space button and just skip it and decide to figure it out at some point when I really need it.

    I finally just gave up and closed the game.

    So what did I learn.
    - Unless you're willing to come out of the game with a PHD in iLife is Strange stuff, don't open it up.
    - Whatever you try to do, assume you have to read about it in some random book, stupid pop-up or your journal.
    - Combat is insanely clunky
    - Story is very unimmersive and flat. at least the tiny bits I got to "experience" (Seriously, just 2 edge-lrods in some tavern)
    - There are so many systems that are extremely confusing to new players that they don't even bother.
    - Unless you can connect a controller, the game is nearly unplayable with mouse and keyboard.

    Within the first few minutes of playing the game, I fell in love with it.

    It was one of those games you don't want to leave, because it draws you in, the story is super interesting well written, amazing characrers, awesome choices that affects your playthrough.

    Highest possible praise from me.

Звучало это интригующе, сколько интересного можно было бы выжать из этой идеи. Однако, когда игра стала поэпизодно выходить,Эх, надо что-то и поругать, а то всё хвалим и хвалим. Отвратительно написан сценарий, плоские шаблонные персонажи, да недодуманный лор просто портят всё впечатление, игру явно переоценивают. При чём понятно это становится практически сразу, когда начало игры практически под чистую украли у Алана Вейка, при чём это совсем не похоже на совпадение. Но это ладно, далее никакой интриги история нам не даёт, ГГ ведёт себя как полная дура, вопреки даже женской логике. Набор персонажей клишированный, не смотря на то, что под конец игры нам вроде как раскрывают героев с другой стороны, но предпосылки на это условные и не правдоподобные. Использование перемотки времени штука интересная как идея, но здесь она просрана напрочь. Сюжетные дыры! Способностей главной героине напихали под завязку, но они внезапно отключаются, когда это нужно сценаристам. Авторы стараются выехать на драме, но в неё они не могут, так как персонажи плоские и не имеют вменяемой мотивации. Не смотря на это, в игре есть очень добротные сюжетные драматические повороты, но они не работают, когда у игрока горит из-за логики повествования. Изучать мир неинтересно от слова совсем, лор условный, стоит тут для галочки, никаких внутренних интересных историй он не несёт. Аниматоры тоже халтуршики, похлеще сценаристов! Выпускать кинцо в 2015 году, в котором на лице персонажей только рот открывается, да глаза моргают, нельзя. Понимаю, может у компании бюджеты небольшие, но вот у тех же Telltale тоже денег не особо много изначально было, однако мимику своими ручками анимируют, бровки героям поднимают и тд. В общем, это неудачный эксперимент, не советую, разве что радуют только приятный на глаз визуальный стиль и душевный саундтрек, который неплохо так нагоняет атмосферу. Ну и Эшли Бёрч в озвучке Хлои шикарна. А так выше 5 рука не поднимается ставить, ибо игра не использует свой потенциал никак.… Expand

Dontnod shows that you dont need super, mega AAA game budget to make an impactful and beautiful game, and makes excellent use of Unreal Engine 3 with hand crafted visuals. Original soundtrack was very nicely done and licensed songs were really well picked aswell.

    As a sci fi fan, the way the time travel is handled in the game fascinated me. Story was well paced, both main and side characters felt down to earth that you could see and understand their struggles. If there is one major criticism to be made about the story side of things, then its about the ending, it very much resembles Mass Effect 3's struggles, but to be fair towards Dontnod, they did not market the pretence that all of your choices would matter in the ending, they just affected the smaller things around you as you progressed through the story, episode to episode. Still, ending could've been handled better, as it comes down to a rudimentary choice, but really, it didnt negatively impact the overall experience either.

    It's really one of a kind experience and dont let yourself to be fooled by the haters who call this a teen girl drama or right wing reactionaries calling it SJW propaganda, despite some of the peoples political opinions behind the game, it really isnt. If you love a fine adventure game then go in open minded into this one and you'll find a unique experience that will stick with you after finishing it.    … Expand

    When i played the first episode of Life is strange i was very bored. And then the second episode i thought it will be the same. But i was wrong it was so different so match funny and interesting than the firts episode. The third and the fourth episode was better than the second episode.     Despite its great presentation and, at times, very engaging story, in the end Life is Strange fails to deliver a good interactive story centered around the butterfly effect. While your choices can have impact as small elements to the story, no matter what you do, in the grand scheme of things they end up having no impact, just merging into a simple dichotomy.

    A really moving game. Dialogue is a bit cringy but lovingly so. The chemistry between Max and Chloe is really essential to the quality of this game. The side characters are also great with your opinions on them changing throughout. The choices really make you think but the final choice was a bit anticlimactic for me.

Dalla grafica realistica, alle ambientazioni così malinconiche, alla storia, tutto ti tiene attaccato ore ed ore al computer. Il potere che il gioco ci dà, quello di compiere delle scelte che avranno delle ripercussioni, fa sentire il giocatore parte della storia. Le scelte hanno un peso psicologico eNon penso di aver mai giocato a qualcosa di più bello e affascinante di questo gioco. Dalla grafica realistica, alle ambientazioni così malinconiche, alla storia, tutto ti tiene attaccato ore ed ore al computer. Il potere che il gioco ci dà, quello di compiere delle scelte che avranno delle ripercussioni, fa sentire il giocatore parte della storia. Le scelte hanno un peso psicologico e narrativo importante e tengono chi gioca sulle spine per tutto il tempo, spesso portandolo a chiedersi perché abbia fatto quella scelta.

    Beaucoup d'avis ont déjà été laissé sur le jeu, je ne vais donc pas m'étendre outre mesure. Bien que Life is Strange soit plaisant et entraînant, il n'est pas pour autant exempt de tout reproche. J'en vois deux, principalement :

    - Un gameplay maigre et plutôt faiblard. Certes, c'est rarement un point fort dans ce genre de jeu, mais ce n'est pas une raison pour s'en contenter. En gros, vous allez spammer toutes les indications à l'écran sur chaque "tableau" et rembobiner le temps deux/trois, bien obligé par le scénario ou pour résoudre quelques énigmes pas bien méchantes.

    - Un scénario qui s'effiloche au fil des épisodes. Quel dommage ! Mais pas si étonnant, quand la thématique tourne autour des modifications temporelles... il y a forcément un moment où ça part en cacahuète. Ca commence par le syndrome des personnages stupides, qui apparait à l'épisode 4. Seul moyen pour les scénaristes de faire tenir l'édifice jusqu'au dénouement. Dans le genre roue libre, l'épisode 5 se pose en exemple. Il y a de bons moments, bien sûr, mais globalement c'est le freestyle complet et on perçoit presque la panique de l'équipe d'écriture qui cherche à boucler son histoire.

    Hormis ces deux éléments qui peuvent vous échauder, je vous conseille encore une fois de tenter l'aventure. Life is Strange me parait être moins rejouable que d'autres jeux du genre, mais c'est à vous de vous faire une opinion à ce sujet. En ce qui me concerne, je parcours ces jeux une fois et ça me convient !    … Expand

    Um dos melhores jogos já produzidos. A abordagem foi diferente da convencional, o que pegou todo mundo de surpresa. Única coisa que pecaram foi na sincronia dos lábios, mas que não fez a menor diferença no gameplay.

    O jogo é 10/10.

    Welcome to Life is Strange, an episodic "interactive movie" as I've started to call them. It's pretty similar to TellTale's recent adventure games where you control a character to explore your environment, interact with other characters, and make major story affecting decisions such as whether you want to eat waffles or eggs and bacon for breakfast.

    Okay, it does sound rather silly. And the first episode DOES give off a pretty bad impression. As previously mentioned, it starts off almost like a 2015 High School simulator. But by the end of episode one, you gather enough hints to figure out some major ♥♥♥♥ is going down. Each episode since has only traveled further down that rabbit hole. Decisions get much more important, and you may find yourself using the token 'rewind' system to change your decisions in case your consciousness gets the better of you.

    Of course, no game is without it's flaws, and Life is Strange has a few I'd rather forget about. The dialogue itself is very "older men trying to emulate teenage girls they've seen talking on Twitter/Tumblr/Instagram" and can lead to HELLA cringe worthy moments. The controls can be a bit twitchy at times, and you'll find yourself trying to readjust your positioning just to get an option to light up for you. But the overall story is pretty damn interesting and fun. There are plenty of references to classic cult tv shows and movies like Twin Peaks, Donnie Darko, Butterfly Effect, Twilight Zone, even Planet of the Apes! And the plot itself seems to borrow elements from these sources as well.

    Edit: Now that the final episode is out, I can say that I still feel the game was worth my time and money. The ending has left fans very divided, but I myself enjoyed it. Without spoiling too much, just keep in mind that this IS a Time Travel story, and they don't tend to get "happy endings". My only REAL complaint about the game is that, like TellTale's recent games, your choices... don't make too much actual impact. That's the one downfall of this whole "Interactive Movie" genre, and I wish it could be properly solved. Maybe one day.

    I'd still say if you're a fan of recent TellTale games, or time travel stories, or melodramatic entertainment? Give it a shot. If you don't like it, you can always just rewind time to before you bought it. Right?

Музыка, которая сопровождала всю игру является неотъемлемой частью этого виртуального мира, она просто прекрасна. Живые диалоги между персонажами заставляют задуматься о жизни, они наполнены смыслом и искренностью. Перемотка времени как нельзя кстати, ведь в реальности иногда так этого не хватает, я бы многое хотел изменить в реальной жизни, но это невозможно, зато здесь я могу это сделать. Иногда были очень грустные моменты, иногда очень весёлые и опять же, игра очень похожа на жизнь, она не очередной продукт потребления и развлечения, который просто забудут, в неё вложили душу, свои личные травмы, переживания, эмоции, именно это делает игру настоящей, живой. Много трагических моментов были мною замечены, иногда было невыносимо грустно и даже скупая мужская слеза просочилась через мои веки, шедевр, каких очень мало, проект не для денег, а для людей. Это моя любимая игра, лучшая из моей библиотеки, хоть я и провёл за ней слишком мало времени, она навсегда останется в моём сердце, как символ чистоты человеческих эмоций.    … Expand

    The game features a non-linear story where your every choice matters, and I was simply amazed with how Dontnod managed to make it you feel like every choice is a bad choice. Brilliant!

    I can't wait to replay this game to see how the story pans out with the choices I didn't originally make. And I can't wait to show the game to my girlfriend to make her see that the gaming industry is not just Super Mario and League of Legends. I can't wait to see her squirm every time she needs to make a tough choice, and to hug her every time she cries after every episode.

    This game really left me with the feeling of awe and wonder of how brilliant game designers can be, and playing anything else after this feels utterly pointless... So much emotions to process!    … Expand

The story and player choices are reasonably well implemented, but there are the usual limitations - choices are limited, and they arguably don't make that much of a difference. The game runs stable, but there were some minor bugs with not being able to activate some objects. Lip-sync is bad. The game also has fairly severe consolitis - an unpleasantly low FOV, bad mouse acceleration, and sensitivity settings that sometimes reset when the game is loaded. The checkpoint save system can be a bit annoying at times. These are all only minor issues - the game was still very enjoyable.

Los puzzles son sencillos, pero como muchas veces pasa en otros juegos, el encanto no reside en la dificultad sino en las mecánicas jugables que utilices para la resolución de estos y os puedo decir que el rollo de manejar el tiempo a tu antojo es una gozada y hace que sean muy entretenidos en su resolución.

    Gráficamente es hermoso, realista y con una paleta de colores vivos otoñales que en conjunto hace que este juego tenga una apartado técnico muy especial.

    Y bueno...creo que lo dejaré aquí porque no quiero spoilear nada más ni de la historia, ni de la jugabilidad. Solo decir que si sois aquellos que os gustan aquellos juegos que vayan más allá del entretenimiento y os gustan las experiencias emotivas fuertes en ellos...de parte de un tío que siempre ha sido más de diversión que de historias...este juego es una O-BRA MA-ES-TRA. Similar to 90s, we used to say "This is like Doom" back then. I wish we can say "This is like Life is Strange" just as often within few years. Playing a game like this is a unique experience. It is more than a game. It is more than a movie. Ot feels very special. Controls feel just a tiny bit "off" on PC, but that's hardly any issue. You don't have to think about saving games. It happens authomaticaly. All that matters are choices. Wonderful flow and storytelling. This is a masterpiece. It is not for every gamer, definitely not. But for the target audience, this is and will be a cult. 10/10 any time.… Expand

Спустя несколько сранных лет я проспорила самостоятельно пройти и оценить ее, и сделала это...
    Хлоя, блять, одна из самых мерзких персонажей за всю историю игр, сука.Она винила отца за то, что он попал в аварию, умер и оставил её одну, эту малую макс за то, что её родители в 13 лет увезли её в другой город, а подругу за то, что она пропала, хоть потом нашла её расчлененный труп, блять, в земле. И все виноваты в её одиночестве. А потом про нее ещё и делают отдельный приквел , ну, здорово, ебать.
    Графика, геймплей... об этом и говорить не буду, потому что это мультфильм для умственно отсталых. Я в ахуе, как у этого куска калла столько фанаток, орды, сука, маленьких бунтующих девочек допубертатного возраста.

    Life is strange was a really disappointing game, I did want to love this game and I like dialogue heavy games but only if the characters and story are interesting or coherent but this game is none of those things.

    The characters were poorly written, it probably doesn't help that the dialogue was atrocious, I just don't find Max to be that interesting of a character but at least she wasn't unlikeable like Chloe, I know she went through a lot but the decisions she makes are incredibly stupid and I never sided with her because of it, there were some characters that could have been interesting like David or Warren but their dialogue were terrible and we don't focus a lot on them. To me the worst characters were Victoria, Nathan and the teacher for having the worst lines in the entire game.

    There isn't a lot to talk about for the gameplay because you can tell that the developers didn't focused to much on it, they just wanted to tell the story, so the gameplay is weak but I kind of already expected that. The graphics are actually quite good for a story-rich game even if most of the character designs were awful, I've had so many glitches while playing that I had to restart the game a lot, the voice acting was bad and I don't like the soundtrack but that's because it's just not my type of music.

    Even if I was pretty harsh on this game I do believe there were some good things in it, they do TRY to develop the characters and have some emotional moments and the ideas and themes were pretty great but the execution unfortunately was weak for me. I feel like if they took more time fleshing out the story and characters, it could have the potential of being a good game, a great game even, I guess that this just isn't for me.    … Expand

Touching on subjects such as bullying, suicide and trust, I found myself compelled to reevaluate my life and how I viewed others.

    The visual detail of the game is nothing less than art itself, from certian vagueness to extreme detail you can always expect to exprience some sort of beauty around every corner. With 14 hours of gameplay, the amount of replay value Life is Strange has is phenomenal and though the main story ends with one of two possible choices the entire game between chapters has many different possibilities that can alter the story itself.Personally, this game hit so many feels for me that I cried and had jaw dropping moments where I saw myself within certian characters.     yeah i had very much fun actually i got kinda addicted to it,but in the end the it is just a black or white ending,which is ridiculous for an interactive movie game ,it just as prince of Persia franchise(which were great) except that they fool you and make you think you can make a choice.

Square and Dontnod have done an amazing job by creating this game and his awesome storyline. Where are you waiting for, go to steam and buy it!

    Great game but a tad depressing and also suffers from some points of bad writing and illogical dialogue. I'm not very happy with either possible ending, but the experience was worth it overall, and I would still recommend this game.

    A friend and I recently finished playing through Square Enix’s new take on the interactive story genre of video games, Life is Strange (2015). We were both very impressed by the depth of the characters and story, the detailed environmental design, and the gaming experience as a whole. We were both very impressed by the depth of the characters and story, the detailed environmental design, and the gaming experience as a whole. The popularity of this style of game has increased immensely in recent years, developed both by large studios like Telltale Games (The Walking Dead, Minecraft: Story Mode, etc) as well as indie developers like Galactic Cafe (The Stanley Parable). However, Square Enix’s entry into the market was fairly unexpected, as they are best known for their fantasy RPG games like Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts. When large developers suddenly breach new ground like this, the results are often very hit or miss. For example, Nintendo’s few forays into the sports video game genre have produced stellar games like Super Mario Strikers and the original Mario Tennis but it has also lead to the release of critical failures like Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. Fortunately, Life is Strange fits into the former category; its strong plot and visuals paired with an incredibly unique take on what is quickly becoming an oversaturated genre make for a uniquely entertaining and surprisingly thought-provoking play through.

    While it is undoubtedly true that the story, characters, and environment of Life is Strange are done exceptionally well and play a critical role in raising the quality of the game, I find it more interesting to investigate the way that the game benefits from its treatment of tropes associated with the interactive story genre. Although it certainly cannot be said that great interactive story games are a dime a dozen, there is a decent selection of these games that have earned their merit primarily on the depth of their storytelling experience. Until Dawn and The Last of Us are two fine examples, along with much of the Telltale canon. With that in mind, I aim to understand what Life is Strange does differently than the games that came before it, and how this contributes to the enthralling gameplay that my friend and I experienced.

    It doesn’t take long to come to the conclusion that the feature which makes Life is Strange so exceptional is the very same feature that headlined all of the game’s promotional material: the rewind mechanic. If you are well acquainted with the game, this reveal may come across as quite facetious; of course it is the rewind mechanism that makes the game unique! Rewinding is central to both the gameplay and the plot, not to mention that it is practically the first game mechanic that is introduced to the player. But I contend that the particular way in which this rewind mechanism enhances the player’s experience is far from obvious. Rather, I feel that the effectiveness of the rewind mechanic is borne from a fairly inconspicuous sources: the player’s somewhat incongruous desire to explore all possible dialogue and story options when playing an interactive story game – what many like to call the “completionist” mentality.

    When I play interactive story games, despite often having a clear idea of which path I intend to choose, I often find myself replaying scenes many times just to figure out how the story and dialogue would have progressed had I chosen an alternate route. There’s this almost incomprehensible feeling that by not witnessing every single element of plot that was programmed into the game, you are somehow obtaining a lessor or an abridged experience. It’s a hard sentiment to address, especially since many of these games are built on the premise of the player making organic decisions as if they were actually embodying the persona of the main character. When the player instead replays the scene multiple times in order to procure the “best” possible outcome, it provides the player with a somewhat unintended ability to subvert this intention. And yet, this feeling is quite prevalent amongst video gamers; it’s the same reason why we’re not satisfied until we’ve reached 100% completion on our save file or caught all 151 Pokémon. Not all of us are completionists, but the tendency is so rooted in gamer culture and, even more significantly, in human psychology that it is impossible to ignore the influence that it has on the way people play video games.

    It is precisely for this reason that the rewind mechanic is so brilliant. It takes a longstanding and deeply entrenched tendency and turns it into a diegetic game mechanic. Gone are the days of feeling guilty for perverting the game’s original intentions when you replay a scene ten times before making your final decision. The game doesn’t just allow you to replay and redo choices; it actively encourages you to do so.     Life Is Strange is an imperfect video game and the actual mechanics of playing it, including the time rewind, can become annoying of frustrating, especially when the development team tries to borrow from another genre. But the game makes it easy to create a connection with Max and to care about her choices and trials, a rare feat, and that means any fan of narrative-driven experiences should try it out to see how he deals with the feelings of the protagonist and the impact they have on Arcadia Bay.
