Ofcourse, if you pay the full price for this remaster, ps4 and xbox users may be very disappointed to receive an overly outdated game. However, if you pay the 16,- for an update in steam... it really is a no brainer. This is why I’d give a 9 for the pc version.. I’d give a 7 (it is fun after all) for the PS and Xbox version.

Anyone who has not had the pleasure of encountering THQ Nordic's current intellectual property on their path is strongly advised to purchase it without reserve.
I spent about thirty hours in the game, but at the time it took me more than a hundred to finish the game on PC: it is certainly a long-lived title that allows you to have fun for a long time.

THQ seemingly did everything right with this re release. They didnt call it a "Remaster or Remake" to manage expectations, They didnt charge full price. They kept the art and assets the same to be true to the original. They got the maximum performance for every console including 60 FPS. AND YET THERE IS STILL "OFF COURSE" OUTRAGE!!!!! Modern gaming consumers man!, its just a cycle ofTHQ seemingly did everything right with this re release. Tube video, just a cycle of people looking to create or be out raged, This is why we cant have nice things.
This re release was made for consoles the PC game all ways looked good because games scale with PC hardware, so you wont see much difference. On PS3 and 360 this game was 720p at 30FPS, you can now play it at true 4K 60 fps on the 1X and 1440p 60FPS on PS4 pro and 1080P 60 FPS on base consoles, this is a massive upgrade, IF you cant understand those number than you wont understand just how amazing they are.
Yes the art and assets are the same, thankfully because the character models in the original game are more attractive than the character models in modern games made today, thanks to political pandering. Yes the animation looks dated but this isnt a full priced release and re animating 1000s of characters would have made the project way to costly to risk.
Its meant as a performance upgrade so modern console gamers can experience this amazing game. After the cry baby reception that the game has received for not completely over hauling everything, and them not spending 500 m on this risky project dont expect many more of histories hidden gems to be brought to the new platforms. Its just to much of a risk with today's entitled modern You Tuber community and their hungry for out rage audience.
Overall still a masterpeice, runs great on console NOW.

Despite any glitches or any quality of life issues. This game could easily be a 10 out of 10, if it had some sort of multiplayer component. However, I did enjoy the single player experience. Hopefully this game is saved, and we get a sequel with multiplayer or even MMO.

There are too many things to say about Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, but Re-Reckoning is a new way to play a classic leading role-playing game back in 2012. There are lots of opportunities in the game which you can delve into. Hundreds of hours of stories, quests, dungeons and much more.

If you are familiar with classic Reckoning, and if you played it like you are living in Amalur, you should play Re-Reckoning, too. I read a lot of comments about the game, which they are saying they didn't even improve the graphics. Then I tried it, found out that these comments are not real. There is an improvement in the graphics. Really.

And, come on, R.A. Salvatore, Ken Rolston, Grant Kirkhope, Todd McFarlane... These persons should remind you something; you played games, listen to tracks, read comics and stories which they created before! And the dev team are doing a really good job with Re-Reckoning.

Combat, Fateshifting and Reckoning Mode still works amazingly nowadays, and Re-Reckoning shows this approach of role-playing games doesn't die. It also has really different character development phases which you may not experience before if you haven't played it yet. There are Destinies, you can choose Might, Finesse or Sorcery. However, you can go hybrid, too, and all of these Destinies you choose, while you are developing your character, will provide you with bonuses. And more, and more...

Go, and give it a shot. Trust me, this will be the best money spent.

Note: Killing a Niskaru still easier than a Sprite. Damn those Sprites, I hate them!

Just to reference, I'm three play sessions in, just finishing up the third, I'm 9 hours into the game currently. I'm loving it honestly, the gameplay is fun and the graphics are pretty good honestly.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning retains all the major flaws of an original game, but if you want to dive into the interesting world of Amalur, buy this remaster.

I appreciate Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning for giving gamers who missed it the first time a chance to see what could have been, but ultimately, it’s a project that should’ve been left to its previous fate.

It’s a polished game, but it’s polished for 2012. It’s a solid RPG, and if you want a very well fleshed-out fantasy world, you’ll find joy here.
