Summary:
As a child, Akihiko fell into an old well and encountered a giant white snake at the bottom. Terrified, he gouged out the snake's right eye with a nail he found nearby, and the torn flesh blossomed the color of cherry blossoms.
Since then, Akihiko has been afraid of cherry blossoms.
After his mother dies at the end of autumn, Akihiko lives alone in a secluded mountain house. One day, a woman calling herself Tsuyukusa visits him.
At first, he thinks she is a strange, ghostly woman, but he is soon moved by her bravery. The two are drawn to each other.
However, the woman has a secret...
