Building on the technical success of DISTANT GUNS , the 3rd Generation render engine installment of JUTLAND dramatically expands the boundaries of 20th Century Naval Warfare in all Directions. JUTLAND pushes the envelope of the real time 3D military simulations with the most realistic True Physics Ballistics ever created in a commercial wargame. Every shell fired is physically introduced into the 3D Battle-Space, where it follows a true-to-life trajectory all the way to the target. If the shell actually hits the target in the 3D world, it must then penetrate the armor of the ship’s hull, deck, or turret based on the thickness at the polygon impact point! On top of that, Storm Eagle Studios has created an unprecedented 3D naval game environment, featuring hundreds of highly detailed, historically accurate 3D WWI Battleships, Cruisers, Destroyers, and Torpedo Boats from the countries of Germany, England, and France. Rendering ships out to 36,000 meters is totally unheard in naval gaming today, yet JUTLAND delivers it with ease. [Storm Rise Studios] Expand

An admirable success from Storm Eagle Studios. In comparison to their first game, Jutland is more appealing to its potential audience with a better setting, a more engaging campaign not to mention filled with more interesting and identifiable ships for the war gaming community. There are issues with Jutland to be sure. If she was a ship she'd be lacking a new coat of paint and some of her basic amenities might be missing, but her guns are all in place and she'd be ready for a fight -- and during war, that's the most important aspect.

A sound WWI naval wargame saddled with a sorry interface and unpleasant DRM. For hardcore wargamers. [June 2009, p.88]
