    Genre diehards might protest the lack of difficulty but the depth is there for players content to meander at Hero Generations’ own pace.

    Hero Generations is a challenge to say the least. It is difficult and addicting, which makes it perfect for strategy lovers.

    Hero Generations is easy to get into. Your hero needs to amass as much fame as possible, doing quests, slaying monsters, and eventually make preparations for the next generation to get underway. That hero faces much of the same tasks and choices - and as the game play offers progressive options in its buildings, making it possible to get stronger bonuses, venture further, complete more missions.

    It's fun exploring the strategic options in Hero Generations: venture out or stay home for bonuses, when to pass on the torch to the next hero, chasing that dragon or kill pond life.

    I like the visuals of the game. The characters have a certain rough style that help getting into playing a hero in the drawn world of the game. I also like the randomness of the game - picking up and passing on traits, or having a choice to assign traits, even though it involves picking cards that are face down. Yet there is still a lot of planning and scheming to be done.

    I like games where there is a tiny bit of luck involved, yet where the player is in control of their destiny. There is plenty of that in Hero Generations.    … Expand

    The generation system is great, but the stage clearing aspect of the game leaves much to be desired, as well as the building damage in my opinion.

    First off, this is a $1 mobile game after playing it. I feel ripped off paying $10. It is worth $1-$2 and is better served on the iPad. It feels like a mobile port despite the fact I don't think it actually is.

    Comparing it to Civilization and Zelda is a crime.

    I was bored within 5 minutes but gave it more time. This game isn't going anywhere. Do not buy.    … Expand
