    no, just no, this game is awful, a huge amount of bugs, frustrating ai and gameplay, puzzles only albert einstein could solve by himself, the sequel is mediocre but this is just bad

    I don't know what happened to this one... All of the alphas were SO much better and they weren't even a complete game. I feel like the added a little too much story to it and it overcomplicated it, the whole fun of the game was just running through a gigantic house to try and unlock the basement, there's no need for so much story.     This game is very basic and pointless. Everything is too easy and it has too many repetition in this game. I didn't liked it.

    Hello Neighbor started off as a horror-genre game when the first alpha came out in December 2016, it was praised by the gaming community on YouTube for being a great stealth like puzzle-horror game.
    Those were the first two alphas, now let's get on to the last two alphas, alpha 3 and alpha 4. Alpha 4 was extremely buggy and an extreme disappointment to anybody over the age of 13, it was worse than alpha 3 and that's when people realized... Hello Neighbor is going to be an indie mess. The Al was broken, the game required you to go on YouTube, and the game was buggier cyberpunk 2077 1.0 on the base PS4.
    You think they would fix this on release due to the bad critic reviews? That's a funny joke. The game to this day has very positive reviews on steam, all of them are 10 years old. I checked their accounts, they only had Hello Neighbor and the most amazing game ever made.. Secret Neighbor. Even with the patches, this game is forgettable and still sits at a huge 4/10 on metacritic from both critics and users.    … Expand

    I really liked the alphas when I was younger, but the full game feels like im trying to build something i don't know how to build, so i go on YouTube and find a tutorial for it.

    had so much potential - some of the beta and alpha demos were extremely good. ill never understand what happened in the development of the full game to make it this bad

    Umm, what were they smoking when they made this game, it felt so glitchy and not fun. I tried so hard to beat this game, and I only got to the second part and I just raged and quit. It was horrible and confusing. It started fine, and fun, but then it got worse and worse. It was laggy and buggy and overall not fun.     This is honestly one of the worst games I have ever had the displeasure of playing in my life. An extremely promising concept that was made popular by countless youtubers and ultimately never expanded upon due to the unwillingness of the developers. Instead, they release this broken, unfinished mess of a game.     El apartado gráfico del juego es bonito y bastante bueno. Sin embargo este juego está lleno de bugs por todos lados. Desde que desaparecen objetos que usas como interacciones mal hechas, lanzas algún objeto a una ventana y se queda bugeado y no lo puedes coger. Por un bug de estos no he podido avanzar en el juego más allá del Acto 3, ni lo he podido terminar ni he podido continuar al ActoEl apartado gráfico del juego es bonito y bastante bueno. Sin embargo este juego está lleno de bugs por todos lados. Desde que desaparecen objetos que usas como interacciones mal hechas, lanzas algún objeto a una ventana y se queda bugeado y no lo puedes coger. Por un bug de estos no he podido avanzar en el juego más allá del Acto 3, ni lo he podido terminar ni he podido continuar al Acto Final ya que se me ha bugeado una tubería y no funciona la salida de agua. Es inadmisible que habiendo pagado este juego no lo pueda ni terminar. Las mecánicas del juego están bien, quizá a veces demasiado repetitivas, muy poco intuitivo el juego, tendrás probablemente que consultar vídeos porque habrá partes que ni puedas completar sin ayuda porque no es nada intuitivo, pero bueno es tu decisión si te la juegas a comprarlo y que se te bugee y no lo puedas ni terminar dejándolo a la mitad.… Expand

    This game is literally a disaster. It’s bugged as hell, the graphics are ugly, controls are horrible and the neighbors ai is just dumb, it’s even an insult calling it an ai. I have to admit tho that in act 1, I actually wanted to know what’s inside the basement. That’s it.

    It would be better if the game was free and not 20 dollars. I still don’t know how people like this buggy hell.

    This is the worst thing i've ever seen in my entire life, the phisics, mechanics and anything else makes no fricking sense (love you austin) and this game drove me to insanity

    I will make this as simple as possible. The concept is great but the execution is awful. I guarantee you will enjoy watching somebody else play this more than playing this yourself. Don't waste your money or time.

    From the first few alphas, the game had a lot of potential. That is not to say that the game is terrible - but it just could have been so much better. It is a refreshing idea that vastly differs from standard horror games. However, some parts of the game feel frustrating and boring to say the least - especially the dream puzzles on the third act.

    I'm very surprised at how popular this game has become. It's extremely ugly, terrible AI, terrible puzzles that don't work half the time, and a bad, confusing story that's too plain. It's one redeeming quality is just how crazy the game progresses, like the dude has a train in his house and crazy stuff like that. It's also fun to rant on. It's sad that many better games aren't becomingI'm very surprised at how popular this game has become.     One of the worst games I've ever played. The "puzzles" are a lame excuse that have no creativity. One section has a part where you have to take a painting off the wall to expose a hole. No other painting in the game can be removed, how the heck am I supposed to know that one can be removed. Do not play. Developer be ashamed.
