    Absolute garbage port, easily the worst port of anything I've ever seen. 3 years post launch and these titles are STILL feature incomplete especially on PC, with bugs EVERYWHERE. Co-op may as well have been cancelled, because splitscreen is gone altogether and the netcode has been changed for first year student garbage.

    I'm writing this upon the release of Reach and so far....this is a really, really poor showing on Microsoft's part. If this was literally any other game that wasn't dripping in nostalgia, it'd be getting reamed. One of the most bare-bones and basic pc ports I've played recently. Absolutely no graphics options at all (aside from three preset options that allow no tweaking, or even anyI'm writing this upon the release of Reach and so far....this is a really, really poor showing on Microsoft's part. If this was literally any other game that wasn't dripping in nostalgia, it'd be getting reamed. One of the most bare-bones and basic pc ports I've played recently. Absolutely no graphics options at all (aside from three preset options that allow no tweaking, or even any indication of what they actually do) and the aspect ratio is completely out of whack even at 1080p. Still very much plays like a game released 8 years ago (understandable) with no improvements whatsoever (why?). It won't even launch through the Xbox app, I have to use the Win10 start menu to get it to run.

    I expected a lot better. In depth graphics tweaks, maybe even some graphical improvements, or at least some basic QoL improvements. Instead we got an extremely basic port with extremely limited options and a terrible menu system. Take off your nostalgia shades and it's easy to see how much of a quick cash grab this was for Microsoft.

    I sincerely hope the rest of the collection is treated better instead of banking on nostalgia to get by. The marketplace is crowded and an hour or two of "oh hey I remember that!" isn't enough imo.    … Expand

    It's just a console port, looks as old as it is, can't remap all the buttons, and is choppy and jumpy, plays better on xbox. It's just a money grab really - it could of been something special, but it's not

    - I could be imagining this, but the game's aspect ratio seems stretched out on 2560x1440. My radar is definitely not circular anymore, and everyone seems to be... bulky.

    - There are other people in the world than QWERTY users! This annoys me to no end when developers just assume everyone uses WSAD. Also one keybind per action only?

    - THERE IS AN IP LEAK ENABLED BY DEFAULT. The game does multiplayer on a P2P basis, meaning anyone with bad intentions could swoop up your IP and do bad things with it. You can change settings to mask it, but this is off by default. How in the hell anyone at 343 thought this was a good idea, is beyond me.

    I'm refunding this. It's a shame. I was looking forward to Halo finally getting the love it deserves on PC. Unfortunately, this isn't it.    … Expand

There are countless features also missing from Halo Reach that existed on the Xbox version, such as Forge, better matchmaking, custom game XP, player tracking, etc. This game feels only 1/4 done and a cash grab.     A collection of old games whose only redeeming point is that they were one of the few things worth playing on an Xbox.

    Passable campaigns, barebones multiplayer, controller first gunplay and a myriad of bugs make it worth buying only during a sale.

    TLDR; Buy it when it's heavily discounted (around -50% off or more) and / or the bugs and issues are fixed.
    - Most of the campaign levels in the games are big, empty, boring open worlds where you're forced to aimlessly drive around trying to figure out where to go as there are no waypoints most of    This is coming from someone who never played the originals. Free of nostalgia or bias.

    - The weapons and mechanics are very dated, even in the more modern games and with this remake, however the combat be enjoyable if you ignore the issues and try and play it not seriously on an easier difficulty.
    - The game has player collision and friendly fire. I have no idea why some games do any of these, they're just annoying and make the game worse...
    - The co-op campaigns have a lot of issues, either being laggy, disconnecting or just not working in the first place. The devs have said that they don't see any issues with the co-op and are not planning on fixing it
    - Also no spllitscreen
    - Audio is very weak and not many options. Certain aspects of the game are too quiet and muffled, namely some voices or gun shots
    - Took me 3 or 4 times to even download the separate games as they kept uninstalling themselves
    - Playing with the older graphics mode on is discouraged since you'll miss out on extra details, lore and achievements

    Spawns are sh*t on many maps. For some reason a spawn trap situation emerges where one team ends up spawning at rubbish locations. Lobby system is pathetically bad at matchmaking. Teams are rarely balanced. Map choosing is non existent and random map selection means that the same map ends up being picked over and over again. Team spawns are completely unbalanced in some maps. MultiplayerSpawns are sh*t on many maps. For some reason a spawn trap situation emerges where one team ends up spawning at rubbish locations. Lobby system is pathetically bad at matchmaking.     It may have created the concept of FPS by joystick, but it looks terrible on the keyboard and mouse.
    The graphics are dated, very popin, not very pleasant textures. A game that reminds you of the Core 2 Duo vs Phenom era. It looks like I'm playing on a Geforce 8600.     Buggy mess, missing content, terrible controls, obviously, this is unfinished product released as a cashgrab, reminds me of Warcraft 3 Reforged release in the worts ways, collection also includes only 2 games as it si now, god knows when it will be finished, avoid this game

    is one of the worst port games in terms of optimization, bug, interfaz, it takes good hadware to play something from 15 years ago, and the worst thing is the aim assit for the controllers players

    The series has no interesting content at all. The whole storyline is just killing aliens and that is all. The most boring Sci-Fi game ever. Even the combat is boring.

    It's still very broken. How are you all giving this a good review? Halo 1 the shields won't show on the remaster. Keyboard binds are borken. You cannot pick up weapons. The audio is horrible. (Some people say it isn't. They are either full of lies or have horrible memory. It's not a problem with people's computers. It's a problem with the dev team not fixing it.)

    I remember playing it like it was yesterday. It brings back memories but it's not really the same. It's a shame to say that Halo just didn't improve its self. The graphics are great in Campaign, but online it's almost impossible to play enjoyably. I always get spawn trapped one way or another and the community for Halo isn't the same either...its a real **** shame. They really just wantI remember playing it like it was yesterday. Даже API для локализации не ждите, если вы нашли способ локализировать игру, то забудьте об достижениях и сетевой игре, причем играть с локализацией сможете только до первого обновления. Конечно, ведь делать достойные игры это сегодня неMicrosoft как всегда делает всё через призму "удобства", хотите официальной Русской локализации?     Денег жалко за это. Есть небольшая надежда что локализацию дотянут, но учитывая то что в Windows 10 Пуск не сделали как раньше, нормальным, то видимо и локализации ждать нет смысла.

    Управление для старших изданий игры просто отвратительное, будь-то играю в DOOM первый, но при этом графика получше, сюжет есть, 3-е измерение наведения и техника. Но в это играть сложно, видимо нужно геймпад использовать, не проверял его совместимость, но думаю должен работать.    … Expand

Friendly AI is trash, "high difficulty" campaign simply makes enemies bullet sponges that automatically track you with their bullets while strafing non stop left and right. Really hard, definitely requires skills.

    That game is boring as hell. I cannot understand why it is so popular! I think the positive feedback is due to nostalgia. For me it's absolutely **** the worst game i've played so far.

    One of the great games collections, RUINED. The last update completely destroyed achievements unlocking. Checkpoints don't save. Start the level up and end up 3 checkpoints back from where you left off. The MCC, at least on PC, has taken a massive dump on this legendary franchise and it's not on.
