    I don’t understand the hate for this game. It’s actually quite good. People are upset that the ingame toys cost too much. Everything, except the toys are free, you can even play it offline, for free!

    The gameplay is very probably the best in the series, coming from a fan since 2003.

    The equipment in this entry is like H3 and Reach combined to make a perfect blend for the Halo style of play, bringing down the unlimited use of Reach to a 3ish use as opposed to 1 use in H3. The sprint speed has been properly reduced so as not to break the map interplay with weapons and equipment    The gameplay is very probably the best in the series, coming from a fan since 2003.

    The equipment in this entry is like H3 and Reach combined to make a perfect blend for the Halo style of play, bringing down the unlimited use of Reach to a 3ish use as opposed to 1 use in H3.
    The sprint speed has been properly reduced so as not to break the map interplay with weapons and equipment spawning on the map that other FPS titles don't have and don't have to balance movement speed against. Clamor isn't like the classic titles that didn't expressly need it, but it clamors at a higher height than crouch jumping. It doesn't replace the usefulness of the more speedy crouch jump, but it does replace grenade hopping by finally putting a speed cost rather than the cost of your shields as opposed to grenade hopping from classic Halo titles.
    The weapons are far more varied than previous 343i titles like H4 and H5, bringing the series back to its roots as a game with a wholly unique weapons sandbox. Every weapons matters and can be mastered, unlike other titles that focus on bombarding you with dozens of the same weapon with slightly different stats. Some fire projectiles that bounce around corners, or seeker rounds, or EMP to take down vehicles and melt enemy shields faster. The sandbox is stronger in Infinite than some of the classic titles.

    When playing the campaign you'll notice the story is much better than that of H5, and actually comes near to the original trilogy in quality. It does lack that classic military vibe, as you're once again not working as part of a military but as a super hero as 343i is prone to prefer to produce (for some reason). The game's identity is a little off due to this, but the campaign as a whole is still in the ballpark of the original trilogy as opposed to the **** show of H5.

    But if you think my criticisms deserves a 9/10, this is where Infinite's bonus strength lies. The Forge mode in Infinite is unlike anything we've seen in Halo before, rivalling StarCraft 2's editor or Roblox in freedom to create, but delivers that in a much nicer looking and better controlled FPS engine. It is very possible to make adventure maps right now, though you'll lack players unless you make it multiplayer. Campaign AI is coming, though, currently the main new feature in development by the forge team at 343i. The game has been out almost 2 years now, and the campaign AI is likely not coming for another 6 months to a year, maybe even more if further difficulties arise, but when it gets added Forge creators will be supplying the game with fresh new campaigns on a weekly basis. Takes about a month to 2 months to make a map, but with a strong forge community you're going to see the strongest support for campaign experiences in Halo history, far outstripping Spartan Ops from H4.

    A Custom Games Browser is in the game now where you can host your own match with forge or official maps and custom or official modes. You can set your lobby to "Open" which will add your custom game to the browser for others to find.

    Anyway, don't believe the bad reviews. There can be some server issues from time to time which can bring frustrations, but if you want to play the best new Halo game since 2007, look no further. The design is what shines, even if the technicalities of netcode are somewhat lacking. On that front, though, 343i has eliminated 90% of the network issues since launch. They're all a thing of the past including melee blanks, weapon firing blanks, vehicle desyncs, banshee coffins, BTB not being able to start a match at all, crashes, random disconnects, etc. etc. It's almost all been solved, and they're pushing to solve what little is left right now.    … Expand

    Overall the game ist fun, but after some time it gets boring. This is because there is not much to play. Forge is very nice but there are only a few maps in the official playlist.

    Actually I am a big Halo fan...BUT there are a lot of technical problems!! Cannot even play the Campaign.... First problem: forwarded to the Microsoft store instead to start the game when you click on "Play" 2) After fixing this problem by myself (!!) : want to continue the game in the menu and click on start -> the coundown is showing the numbers going down to 0, after this nothingActually I am a big Halo fan...BUT there are a lot of technical problems!! Cannot even play the Campaign....     For some reason people don't like it because you have to aim a gun at bad guys, and it doesn't have a million multiplayer maps?
    And Gamers will be like "ehh it wasn't that good, it's a FarCry clone" and then turn around and talk about how FarCry is the greatest game of all time.

    My opinion may be irrelevant to you: played Halo 1 and 2, but skipped everything else. Halo Infinite Campaign was very satisfying in both open-world exploration and the main story. The narrative is dense and mysterious and really helps you to like those three main characters after all.

    Multiplayer isn't truly relevant to me here, I liked it, but never planned to spend way too long, so    My opinion may be irrelevant to you: played Halo 1 and 2, but skipped everything else. The campaign bosses make it very difficult as a SOLO player, but only on the harder difficulties, otherwise it would be a 10/10. 9/10 and the weapons and travel/combat are EPIC. Oh and the story isn't the best/worst but has FAT Asian AI instead of Cortana, because...wokeness. That's pretty immersionThis is the BEST Halo game to come out since 3. Or maybe 1.     Я довольно заядлый геймер и меня мало чем удивить (в жанре шутреов в т. числе). Но Halo Infinite действительно открыл для меня такой привычный жанр по-новому. Каждая битва невероятно веселая, не скучная. Нет душности, кустов для отсиживания - арены динамичные, красивые и матчмейкинг невероятно мощный.
    Это то, что я очень хочу посоветовать каждому - отличный игровой опыт, тем более, что    Я довольно заядлый геймер и меня мало чем удивить (в жанре шутреов в т. числе).     When I played Halo 1 in 2002 I was 14 years old and it made a big impression on me. I replayed the campaign countless times. However every single Halo sequel has let me down with its campaign. Until Halo infinite. This game is so good it completely refreshes the series. At times I feel like I’m 14 again playing Halo for the first time. The    The best halo campaign since Combat Evolved.

    this is the best shooter of the year, but i really can't understand how a 300 employee studio can't handle puting a **** tone of content. For me forge was the best thing in halo 5 and they need to put it as quickly as possible

    - Probably the best EVER gameplay of EVERY halo game.
    - Incredibly well combined Artstyle of classic and 343 halo
    - Great feel and great graphics

    Cons: - Lack of Multiplayer content
    - Slow loading and etc
    - Story is fairly boring
    - lots of things are post launch content

    Würde man die Open World komplett weglassen und einen Open Schlauch machen, wäre es ein besseres Spiel gewesen. Ich habe es komplett bzw. weitestgehend ohne die sinnlosen Aktivitäten in der Open World gespielt. Und demnach das typische Halo Gefühl gehabt. Gun Play, Bewegung, Grafik und vor allem die geniale Musik sowie die    Top Shooter mit deutlichen Schwächen in der Open World.
    Würde man die Open World komplett weglassen und einen Open Schlauch machen, wäre es ein besseres Spiel gewesen.     GG's bro. Open world got a lots of things to do. Campaign may be over prized but brings back the halo vibe way better than 4 & 5. I hope that they'll add some dlc for alternative story because the only thing perspective we saw was the master chief's. Maybe dlc's for what the "other's" were doing. I want more of thissssssssssss.

    Halo Infinite is an AMAZING game the multiplayer is fun and the campaign is brilliant too with some amazing performances by the original voices of master chief and cortana. With a lot of fun game modes and amazing gameplay this game keeps on giving it's truely one the best Halo games of all time.

Very mechanic-impactful and attractive shooting, great core-gameplay, you just dont need a narrative for enjoy – here is Covenant, you got a gun, just do your job John.

I am the russian and I love good games from everywhere even from Microsoft which hates    Halo Infinite is a must-play game because this is only and just the one sandbox-shooter that works as indented and as expected. The game is a true return to form with a classic art style, a new, interesting story with great characters and character development. It's mysterious and and emotional.     My second Halo since Combat Evolved. The open-world is nice, although it presents limited variety of activities. Combat is satsfying. Campaign's pretty decent too.

    Very solid game. People say it is outdated but it is not. It feels like if combat evolved was realeases now. Gunplay is very satisfying and I enjoy the gameplay in general. The graphics are spectacular but the story could use some work.

    I had a great time playing the campaign and I am still playing the multiplayer. The story is really good and the gameplay is just perfect. I love Halo and Halo Infinite is absolutely amazing. I am extremely satisfied with it and I recommend everyone play it.

    The game is the finale for the whole Halo series that brings new ground for the upcoming story and even greater threats. Campaign feels slightly unusual because of huge scale, but overall it's still good old Halo.

    This is another really solid Halo game. There are some issues with a couple of game modes, and the store, but it is a really fantastic game overall, and I've had a ton of fun playing it for the past few months. Also love that the developers seem to listen to and respond to feedback from their fans. This has definitely become my primary game for the foreseeable future.

    After what feels like a lifetime, Halo is back, and it's better than it's ever been. The addition of the grappling hook and coil throwing alone have turned the campaign into something completely different, and much better.

    Best Halo I've played since Halo Reach... the campaign was a breath of wil... er, fresh air! I would have gave it a 10 but the color system is clearly a cash grab. If they fix that, I'll update my review.

    Excelente juego 20/10 gran historia y jugabilidad, el desarrollo de la trama trata de solucionar el error de halo 5 guardianes, sin necesidad de recurrir a cambios forzados. La aplicación de diferentes habilidades como el gancho, la dificultad legendaria y la aplicación de jefes enemigos estilo "dark souls" hacen del juego una experiencia exquisita y divertida. Lo recomiendo pasar en legendario.

    all my text ONLY about multiplayer. I am not a fan of halo, so my first expirience is good. As for me, gameplay from 2000, but this game has a good technical realisation, i haven`t see any bugs. As for troubles, devellopers could make more game mods. Next, this game freetoplay, but again BUT, but i haven`t seen anyone.

    This is my first Halo game, so I can't compare it to any of the previous. My take is based on the game as it is, and covers both the multiplayerand campaign. The gunplay is fantastic and calls back to the older arena shooters of the past (people comparing it to games like Battlefield have absolutely no idea what type of game they're playing). The gunplay is fantastic and calls back to the older arena shooters of the past (people comparing it to games like Battlefield have absolutely no idea what type of game they're playing). The movement and guns are great, and the grappling hook is a blast. Best part, it's on GamePass so millions can try it without shelling or more $

    As far as performance, I'm running a newer i7 with a 2070, and I've had flawless performance and only 1 crash....makes me wonder if all these people claiming to have high end hardware and experiencing problems are actually Sony people salty they can't play the game.... That or these individuals do have the hardware they claim, but their computer is cluttered with.... let's say "other things"

    Great game! A lot of the negative reviews are coming from people who only play the free to play multiplayer. The campaign was a lot of fun, you can be creative in so many ways and outside of the main quest there is a lot of things to do! I've played Halo since the first xbox, and this was easily one of the best. Highly recommended

    Ahora Hablando del multijugador creo que es lo que mas me a gustado ya que la jugabilidad es divertida y el juego en si tiene muy buena calidad ya que salió con muchos modos de juego (incluyendo sorpresivamente Ranked a pesar de estar en beta), es competitivo, frenético, con momentos estratégicos en donde no todo es matar, etc. tal vez la única queja que tengo es que a veces el como los enemigos te matan es absurdo ya que te llegan a matar muy fácil, llegando a parecer que tienen algún aimbot o hack....     After the long wait and the ptsd from Halo 5 it's nice that Halo is coming back to form. The campaign is solid and multiplayer is fun even though certain mechanics were missing until recently. I'd say at the very least buy it on sale.

    As for the weapons arsenal, by the end one only uses alien weapons, human weapons will somehow run out together with ammunition. The base system is not bad, ideal for a starting position for exploring the map. But if you don't like the open world again. Will it be a problem. As for the equipment of John himself, definitely improve the shield to the maximum, anchor to the maximum (40% cooldown will get you practically anywhere, if you don't already have a Wasp open) and then it's up to you. There is more Spartan code on the map than you need for improvements.

    When I compare it with the campaign with the new CoD, despite the bad open world, I had fun. I drowned 18 hours in the campaign (if it was a corridor, we were talking about 8-9 hours), I had fun. Enemies are definitely not boring. And who knows the Halo series will be pleased. Overall, I would rate the campaign at a nice 7.5, as part of the Game Pass you can add an extra point because the new game on the day of release for ridiculous money.

    If we go back to MP, he's a great, hectic, good old Halo. Don't expect anything more. The advantage and disadvantage is the F2P model and de facto the 1st season in the Game Pass. But even there I would go to 8 out of 10.

    So I would leave the overall rating at 80%. It's definitely not a great game, I personally don't even consider it the best part of Halo. But charismatic heroes and their enemies. Great dubbing and an interesting story make it a game that will either suit you or you will simply turn it off after viewing the open world. Nothing more, nothing less.    … Expand

The speculative lighting is a wonderful low resource intensive alternative to Ray Tracing but afaik has not been done in any other game. So the graphics are good the game is beautiful af. Ray Tracing is supposedly coming in a future update. (The most valid complaint I have is the Diversity of the Open world. Halo infinite's world is broken into different Islands, These Islands are ALL different but only in subtle ways, The lack of Biome diversity is Canon and is entwined in the story because Master Chief does not explore the entire ring only a small section. Zeta Halo itself has EVERY possible biome on the Ring so I hope future story expands on this further.

    The gunplay and combat in the game is better than everything out right now and feels punchy and juicy. Often hilarious and epic the game is faithful to the core of what made previous Halo games enjoyable and runs with it. Forge, Co-Op, Customs, and many Playlists didn't make it to launch but if that content is even half as good as the rest of the game they still nailed it.

    Normally I wouldn't comment on this but there is a lot of misinfo/ toxicity surrounding this game.

    1) Negative review directly gloss over the Fact that the Multiplayer is FREE. but are acting like 343 owes them something.

    2) Negative Reviews Say 343 doesn't deserve to make a Halo Game but don't realize how much of the original talent and creatives of Bungie now work for 343

    3) Negative Reviews say that it is the worst game in the industry for consumer friendly practice but Halo infinite only monetizes cosmetics and in bundles too. The game is free. There is no locked content. 343 has stated they are in the process of tweaking the monetization and storefront. All other AAA shooters, APEX/COD/FORTNITE/VAL are much worse with their monetization.

    Battle passes NEVER expire in Halo infinite. Their is much less FOMO or artificial scarcity of cosmetics compared to other shooters in general. So in reality Halo Infinite is about as fair as you could expect from a F2P live service.

    Many Negative review say there is a lack of playlists or game modes or content. These reviews are from the BETA or launch week of the game. The Beta was a surprise. People got the game a whole 2 weeks early and still don't know how to have fun. ass of 12/15/2021 they have been adding new playlists to the game so it only took 7 days to resolve that complaint and source of review bombs. It is a live service game so it will continue to add content with each season.

    The Core gameplay is fun as all hell. and at the end of the day that's what matters. The story is very engaging and is accessible to both old and new players. If someone has to go out of their way to review a game a 0 and say its boring their is a bias. Idk anyone who gets bored with a game that's free and goes out of their way to negbomb.

    Most fun I have had in a Halo game since Reach. Great gameplay, sandbox, and the grapplehook is awesome. The campaign was good but would have liked to have seen more biomes like desert or jungle. Multiplayer is a blast but could use more content. Overall great game. As for PC performance, I have had almost no issues whatsoever.

    -Destroy modern battle royales bringing back a classic fps with a good campaign and many multiplayer modes, becoming once again a legendary game with a mature community.
    OR
    -Join them, with battle royale modes or too much focus on battle pass and micro transactions, and be soon forgotten.

    For the moment, looks like it is going the right way.

Gameplay, graphics, sound design and music were top tier. The enemy Ai's were also really good and are challenging to fight against especially the jackals which surprised me . Definitely a game worth playing and owning.     I have been playing the Halo series since Halo 2 came out and though I look back on 1, 2, 3 and Reach very fondly, 4 and 5 (though enjoyable) wasn't hooking me like the other games, don't get me wrong, it was still a blast to play but it just didn't have that same effect as the original trilogy and Reach. However I was quite hyped for Infinite and I am very much impressed with the game.I have been playing the Halo series since Halo 2 came out and though I look back on 1, 2, 3 and Reach very fondly, 4 and 5 (though enjoyable) wasn't hooking me like the other games, don't get me wrong, it was still a blast to play but it just didn't have that same effect as the original trilogy and Reach. However I was quite hyped for Infinite and I am very much impressed with the game.

    Story - Halo has a very deep story with lots of lore found in all forms of media from games, to shows, to novels, to comics, trying to keep up to date with everything can be quite difficult. The story here does follow a very simple path from start to finish which is great, but among it is a lot of detail that can be found, and audio logs are scattered everywhere to add to the story. My only real concern comes from what happened after 5, I could be wrong but I feel like I was missing parts of what happened, and that Infinite tried to explain some of it, but I was a little confused at points. It may be that some of the story after 5 was explained in Halo Wars 2 or in something else, but hard for me to say. I felt caught up by the end for the most part, just felt a little confusing at first.

    Graphics - Some might say its a little dated but I have absolutely no issues with the look of the game, I played on my PC with settings cranked to as high as possible and I thought it looked gorgeous all the time, I didn't feel the game was lacking anywhere. Being out in the open world can be breathtaking at times, especially with the day and night cycle doing it's thing. Maybe not the prettiest game to some, but I loved it.

    Gameplay - It feels very much like Halo, but more traditional Halo with some abilities thrown it that you can use throughout the campaign or multiplayer from a grapple hook to a deployable shield to sensor that reveals enemy locations, all of which could be upgraded as you play. You get a wide variety of weapons to play with, and not once did I ever feel I was completely returning to the weapons I was familiar with, in some situations I was using whatever I could get my hands on and trying to make the absolute best of it. 343 smashed this one out of the park, not one time did I feel bored with the shooting.

    Campaign - We are moving into an open world game here and for the better I think, it changed the formula a bit which is nice for Halo as it has been going for so long. This may not appeal to everyone but if you are familiar with open world games, expect to see similar traits found in those, such as respawning enemies when returning to areas, a variety of points of interest you can go to, capturing outposts, finding upgrades around the map, its all here and I get sucked into map completion in games like this, and Halo Infinite was no different. I played on Heroic for my first run and felt the game was quite challenging, you cannot just run into enemy locations and expect to come out with your life and for the most part I felt the AI was quite smart. Grunts were typically not the brightest as you'd expect but I found Brutes charging at me, Jackals slowly creeping up on me to box me in, Elites shooting from afar only until I would get close and then try to take me down with a sword, very good stuff here. Overall I felt the campaign was a very positive experience and completing it in around 20-23 hours was not a drag at all.

    Multiplayer - I have only played the Multiplayer prior to the full game release so I am not entirely sure if anything else was added but there was Quick Play, Big Team Battle and Ranked modes, all of which you could not not choose your specific mode to play like Team Slayer, Swat, Capture the Flag etc, not sure if this has since changed but I would've like that option to choose. I am not huge into multiplayer but I loved my time with it here. it feels completely different to how I felt with Halo 4 and 5, this one felt more like I remember from 3 and Reach. Maps have a good amount of variety and all weapons from the campaign were in here too. The progression system was lacking a bit, you have a levelling system, as you level you gain access to certain rewards but it mostly seems littered with xp boosts, challenge swaps, player banners etc while a few are armour pieces, I know that this will be improved over time but it does feel like this is lacking and that they want you to spend real money for the better stuff. I hope they change this over time. Also making it so you earn xp just from playing games and not just from doing challenges would be nice too. It has some growing to do but still good!

    Music - A very good chunk of classics and new here, you will not be disappointed!

    Final Rating - There is so much more I could say about this game but 5000 max character limit. I don't feel its my game of the year but I can assure you its close to the top of the list. 343 has given us a few good Halo games, but this one is definitely a huge improvement and feels familiar yet fresh.     It feels like a return to form and on my first playthrough on heroic, it did give me a decent challenge. It'll give you a good 20 hours in the campaign and an infinite amount of possibilities in multiplayer. I'm excited to see where this series goes next.

    Really good game. Campaign is extremely fast-paced and the open world map lets you do some pretty amazing things. Story delves into the emotional side of MasterChief and Cortana's relationship as well as his characterisation.

    This is as good of a Halo as the Bungie era. In Halo 5, 343 had developed great gameplay mechanics and hit detection, but they veered away from Halo’s story. Infinite keeps the great mechanics from 5, and brings back the heart and soul of Halo.

    One of the best halo ever made, easilly comparable as the halo 3 and halo reach campaign.
    And the multiplayer is the best halo multiplayer i have ever played.

    Master Chief is back. This Is Halo! The gameplay is fantastic. Its back to the roots of Halo with this one. The future looks bright for Master Chief

    Game looks amazing for my hardware, has some pop-in issues, but I can live witha that due to my tou being pretty old. A larger variety would be appreciated but man is it a lot of fun to play, the bosses can be hard but does it sure feel great when you outsmart them or finally kill them, sometimes I feel like it's just unfair but at the same time it always takes me back and makes me want toGame looks amazing for my hardware, has some pop-in issues, but I can live witha that due to my tou being pretty old.     Halo Infinite has a more digestible story than Halo 5. The game turns out to have a very solid sandbox, one in which almost every element can interact with the others to cause interesting situations. Really good sandbox, streamlined semi-open world, and a rather simple but good story all make Halo Infinite's campaign shine. Downsides are lack of biomes, while sandbox is good there are someHalo Infinite has a more digestible story than Halo 5.     To kick this off Halo infinite is one the most fun games I've ever played in a long time Beating Call of duty, battlefield, RB6, Splitgate, and close to beating Apex Legends. Variety of classic and re-vamped weapons. The Spartan customization is really fun giving us all sorts of Lore-friendly Armors from the spartan programs respectively so creating my own spartan is an amazing experience bringing something original but close to home like in Halo Reach. Armor, weapons, and vehicle coatings are also very important which add a deeper level of customization to the game which is a big plus for me compared to the regular color picker from previous installations. music is kick-ass and adds a lot to the immersive experience to wrap up fun 10/10 from casuals to sweats everyone CAN HAVE FUN IN THIS GAME. 5/5

    The campaign is really different this time around giving you the main antagonist sort of but at the same time you're facing an entire enemy fleet, John 117 feels ALIVE no more green robo killing machine giving you answers for things in the past games and the lore but also inviting the new players into the franchise linear but not but also includes allottt of exploration sort of like Gears of War 5 this installment of the campaign really ties you into who the master chief really is 4/5

    it ties you in direct y with the story leaving you satisfied but also wanting more

    Polish of the game has been NIGHT AND DAY Comparing the 2019/2020 videos and the early tech test builds this game has come a longggg way Graphically from Foilage, God Rays, Shadows + lighting, and armor materials EVERYTHING HAS BEEN REVAMPED and built to look beautifully ESPECIALLY WITH RTX ON the game just looks incredible finessing a HALO art style AT THE SAME time no too cartoony, not over-detailed but polished in "HALO" just looking at it you KNOW it's a halo game comparing this to halo 5 and 4 the art styles were not there truthfully but yall delivered 5/5 343

    The game mechanics are actually really solid we have great movement, from sliding to jumping and nothing really to complain about the Grapple hook feels just at home taking mechanics of momentum from the titan fall/ apex series which many of us are familiar with. the return of gadgets and notabilities was a great move that keeps the game BALANCED and allows the tables to be turned on either side. the only thing many people seem to dislike is the melee but it just seems reminiscent of Halo 3 melee no comments on this. Dropping weapons, ping system, Momentum throwing the flag or the oddball, and pretty much everything works well grenades feel a bit extra bouncy in this installation but its something to get a bit used to overall 4/5

    Multip[layer content such as Item shop and game event modes +battle pass can be pretty lackluster the item shop is overpriced IMO but it is a free game ...so understandable. the lack of in-game currency in the battle pass actually gets me a bit ticked off and the weekly rewards arent all the way there yet 1 week it's good the next its garbo town emblem cosmetic on the other hand the battle pass is worth every $1 as IT NEVER EXPIRES and all the cosmetics are new and old classics we know and love from halo 3, reach and even some 4 and 5 favorites never the less overpricing of the item shop is still an issue and lack of events just can create a sad rotation of oddball , slayer and CTF

    Halo Infinite is the best shooter of 2021. With much anticipation from the fans, 343 Industries brought a great multiplayer experience and a story as a love letter to the Halo series. With some bold innovations, the game pulls all the best from previous iterations and makes it into one of the best FPS games in recent history.

    Halo Infinite was supposed to become a flagship title for “the most powerful console in the world,” but in reality we got an interlude of a story devoid of epic set pieces, a template for something greater that may or may not arrive in the future, an empty “open world” punctuated with interior design circa early 2000s. If not for the awesome shootouts, Master Chief should have been jettisoned back into space.

    The new Halo game is far from flawless. There’s no co-op, even though there should be, and there’s a boring open world, even though there shouldn’t. The multiplayer feels unfinished as well. Still, at its core, it’s a solid story-driven shooter with a more-than-acceptable Cortana replacement.
