Not only is the game loop really great, the builds are so distinct and work so differently with the weapons that each run feels like a different game. The art is amazing, the combat is smooth and fun, the characters are really fun to interact with and the OST is phenomenal.

I honestly can't find a fault in this game that isn't a minor gripe. Sure, some of the poison enemies are annoying and the last biome is built to punish you if you make a boss-killer build. But I am so enamoured with the world and enjoying the combat so much that none of it really matters.

Keep in mind that the game also lets you play it in your own pace, with a reduced difficulty mode and the credits being separated from the post-game for people who don't like grinding. The difficulty being adjustable after you progress enough through the game is also something I loved.

If you looked at the gameplay online and thought "this looks interesting" you'll love this game. As simple as that. Just keep in mind that if you are looking for a Diablo-esque experience, this is a bit different. Much more action oriented and built for shorter runs. This Binding of Isaac, but with a lot more control over powerups.

Or maybe just cross-saving between here and the Nintendo Switch, Mac-OS and Linux. This version can give you the ability to transfer your saves from here to Nintendo and the Epic Games Store. This is a great step forward for cross-platforming, even if it doesn’t involve actual multiplayer itself; but the point here is that a game as investing, frustrating yet rewarding as Hades has this function is definitely noteworthy and something other games are SURE to adopt in the future.

The story is great: layered even in its ‘repetitious’ Groundhog-Day-like storytelling, the gameplay is nice and punchy, and the soundtrack adds to the relentless challenge that is Hades. As the Son of Hades, Zagreus must escape his father’s clutches or forever suffer the Underworld’s all-encompassing grasp on the world of the dead. Zagreus must break the cycle and find out the truth about his mother, if he can even get himself there.

Hades is a blast with enough modern vibes and retro ones to make it an experience for newcomers and veteran hardcore gamers alike. Needless to say, this game is a CHALLENGE! But a fun one.

Big fan of their previous games and expected another tame and short ~10 hour game. I WAS WRONG. I'm 50 hours in and I seriously cannot stop playing. This is far and away the game of the year. Best soundtrack, best combat, fantastic voice acting, and so so much replayability.

it is such a f*cking delight of an experience! incredibly addicting, fun, beautifully imaginative in it's reivention and retelling of myths and legendary characters, while also being engaging and with a STELLAR cast who, i'm sure, will be one of the main reasons we keep returning to this. strong contender for game of the year.

Seriously, I tried quite a few Isaac-type games and usually after 1-2h deinstalled it, but this - this is probably one of the best, if not the best game of this genre. The game might seem difficult at first, but rather quickly become easier with upgrades you get, and this is very good! Make no mistake though, this game is still challenging even with all upgrades, but not that crazy challenging like Isaac or SMB. Usually in such games you get no aid in your later playthroughts but your experience. Thus leads to 100+ beginnings of the same 1st level which is doesnt feel great when you have job and family. Hades is not very long if you want just to finish this game - I made it from 18th try. But this is not an end - if you want to reveal whole story, try all weapon upgrades there are even more challenges to overcome.
Very good music, nice graphics, awesome combat system and abilities, challenging bosses. Maybe not a masterpiece, but still very very good game! 10 of 10.

Even Triple A studios barely offer this quality.

But let´s speak about the important part, the game.
It plays super smooth, every weapon feels very different, combined with the upgrades(boons) you get, every run feels different. There is not one overpowered way you have to play to be overpowered, there are many different combinations to make the best of your run.
Roguelite elements are great and make you try "just one more run".

But the superior part, which made it a solid 10, is the storytelling and progressing. Every run you learn something new about the situation, characters and the motives. It is superb storytelling in a genre, where most believed there is no actual way to progress a story.

I highly recommend this game to action fans.

You will discover secrets, reveals, twists and know your family, friends, acquaintances and other gods better. I must praise the characters and writing. The Greek legends are full of conflicts between the gods and those are all related to each other. This is transferred well into the game. They are like a family with a lot of problems. The game even won the literary Hugo Award to give you some perspective how good it is. For me this was amazing and I continued even after obtaining the platinum trophy to see the outcomes of some stories. It is well written, enjoyable and gives you always something to kept your interest. The gameplay is like I said a rouge-like RPG. You start each escape run with no abilities and advance through the rooms of the underworld. Each room has rewards like abilities, benefits, items or currencies. Sometimes you can chose between options. This was something I was worried about but it is not the weakness I thought. It is a true strength. In approx 100 runs I never encounter a truly weak set up. I discovered instead some amazing abilities, combinations and different options. Even some abilities I avoided first were good, some even worth reversing my opinion. For example: My least liked weapon became my favorite and the weapon I thought was best became my least used (The game has an interesting system in teasing you to chose different weapons). I admit that I use some abilities or better said set up more often but the different set ups keep it fresh. The next strength are the things you can unlock. There are so many helpful things. Be it new weapons, helpful rooms, appearing treasures, cosmetic set ups, abilities and bonuses. You always have new stuff to do or unlock. Rarely ever have I encounter a game that succeeds in keeping everything this fresh and enjoyable. Then there is the graphic. The art style is excellent and I like the hand draw graphics. For games like this I would always buy an artbook. The music is even better. You will encounter many awesome tracks and there are 2 characters who maybe give you some of the best songs in the game. To round up this experience I did not encounter a single serious bug or glitch. Overall this is my favorite game of the year and deserves my full praise. Never have I encountered a game that keeps being this refreshing from start to finish. Be it the story or gameplay everything is excellent and well thought out. Even the difficulty is correctly balanced as god mode gives you more resistance with each death until you don't die easily. A well thought out system. An easy 10/10 for me Expand

Further, each run earns you a variety of currency types that you may invest any way you'd like to shape your strategies. Best of all are the character portraits and overall art direction. The high contrast and between the thick black outlines and the vibrantly saturated colors gives a dark yet still lively environment.

My only qualm is the lack of random bosses and other events that could help make each run feel more distinguishable. Unfortunately, both the rooms and the enemies are fairly monotonous. While the game is certainly repayable it could be even better with added content. Overall, my favorite game of the year. Excluding my addiction to animal crossing during quarantine.

Hades is a roguelike action roleplaying game where you play as Prince Zagreus, son of Hades, and you are tired of life in the Underworld and want to defy your father by escaping. You take runs through the layers of the Underworld fighting all types of monsters clawing your way to the surface.
Along the way the other Olympians will be trying to aid you by bestowing upon you powers to strengthen your weapons and skills. All in attempts to help Zagreus join them on Mt. Olympus. The boons they bestow upon you are perfectly inline with their characters. Examples being; Zeus granting lightning, Aphrodite allowing chances to charm and weaken monsters, Dionysus can afflict hangover (my personal favorite perks).
There is an interwoven story in the game you discover while playing through escape attempts and increasing your bonds with the cast of characters including Gods, servants of Hades, and Greek heroes.
This game is a beautiful masterpiece that has been given numerous awards, not including game of the year by most publications.
I started playing in early release 2019 and played through most development of the game and extra features they added. Eventually leading to the full release in 2020 where the true ending was added.
It took me 72 successful escape attempts to finish the story and reach the true ending. There are still cosmetic upgrades I could chase, character relationships to increase and push for higher difficulty runs.

Ideally I'd finish every game I review, but I play so many games, on every platform, it makes it difficult. By the time I finish a game it's six months after its release date and the review is a lot less useful. I still post those late reviews, mainly because I like a game so much I feel the need to rave about it. But generally my hand is forced and I review games I haven't yet finished.
That out of the way, I'm about 10 - 12 hours in to Hades and I'm playing it on Switch. I got it with 20% off, which, as the review will make clear, is a very, very good deal.

    PROS:

    - Voice acting. Oh, the voice acting. Not just the acting but the quality of the writing and the characterisation. Zagreus, your protagonist is a deliciously dry, sarcastic young man - charismatic, caustic, cool. His father Hades is an alternately fulminating and whispering Big Bad, although it's much more complicated than that. Every one of the many characters is beautifully presented, written and voiced. The bosses are favourites of mine.

    - The plot - it's a strange thing, to talk of a 'plot' in a roguelike, but probably the single cleverest thing Supergiant have done is to introduce a storyline into the spaces between runs. Generally in roguelikes those spaces are simple downtime to gather your wits and fortify your will for another attempt. They tend to have some shops that sell and buy stuff and some sort of mcguffin that powers you up permanently. And Hades has all that too, albeit refracted through the lens of Greek mythology.
But Supergiant have introduced a gradually progressing narrative that proceeds with every death. Every time you die in a run and go back to the start the storyline takes another step forward. Characters in the starting hub disappear and reappear, new characters introduce themselves, plot twists are revealed. Secret connections between Zagreus and the rest of the Greek gods are clarified. It is a brilliant solution to the problem that all roguelikes besides Hades bump up against: the feeling of futility between runs.
I remember at one point in Dead Cells getting seriously far into the game. It was the culmination of a painstaking effort. And then I died and I was hurtled back to the start. And it was at that point, after so many deaths and runs, that I simply lost interest. As brilliant an action game as it was, that feeling of futility and lack of tangible progression gradually built up as I played, and eventually I just gave up. Hades turns this typical weakness of the genre into a strength: every time you die the plot advances. New characters stop you to chat, or old characters reveal some dark truth about themselves. You learn more. It means that death has less of a sting than in other roguelikes. Death becomes part of the rhythm of the game, even something necessary, rather than a dull bore. It's a subtle, elegant, complete solution to what has been up until now a big negative with the genre.

    - The gameplay. It's been a long time since I've played something this addictive. The loop of risk/reward is relentless: you're never more than a minute or so away from some shiny trinket that'll buff your character and give you a little adrenaline rush. Combine that with simple but skillful and tactical twitch action and it's up there with Celeste and Super Meat Boy as one of the most compulsive games I've played in the last ten years.

    CONS:

    - Well, it's a roguelike, and if you, like me, still have a problem with these kinds of games then there's no getting around that. However, Hades deals with the inherent flaws of the genre better than any other roguelike I've ever played. I dislike a lot of the baggage that accompanies this kind of game, especially procedurally generated levels. Yet the the game is so structurally exquisite I ended up not caring. It works around these flaws with such artistry, even turning some of them into positives.

    - I'd say that the combat can get a little hard to read on the Switch. It's not a huge deal though.

    That's about it for flaws...

I think right now a 9/10 is sufficient. I can imagine giving it a 10, especially when I think of how polished and stupidly playable this game is, but there is something about roguelikes that niggles at me still. Which is unfair I guess: since this game subverts the genre and turns its weaknesses into strengths throughout. Still, 9/10 it is.

This one of the most compulsive, lavish, complete and stylish indie games ever. The score is really irrelevant. If I could I'd get rid of it and just write 'GET IT NOW' at the top of my review. It's sublime.

12/10/2020: I have been playing Hades non-stop since my review a week or so ago, and have completed it eight times already. It is one of the best games I've ever played, a true once-in-a-lifetime masterpiece. I originally gave it a high 9/10, but now have come back to change it to a 10/10.

What Hades does with beautiful art, a simple (but solid) core gameplay loop, and engaging characters in a great story is infinitely more than what most AAA games do with hundreds of developers, massive budgets, celebrity voice actors, and all of the top end graphics in the world.

Supergiant takes a genre of games that has been overdone to death, and with a clever story, makes the perfect blend of storytelling and gameplay. Where something like The Last of Us Part II completely segregates their story and gameplay at the end of their game, Hades embraces the nature of its story and embraces the resetting nature of the roguelite genre. The story cannot work without the gameplay, and the gameplay is nothing special without the story to drive it. It legitimately comes together in a way that pushes the entire medium forward and raises the bar for everyone else.

The gameplay is fast, fluid, and everything has the right amount of punch to be satisfying. I would give this game a 9.5 if I could, but since I'm unable to, I rounded up to the perfect score I don't think any game should get. The gameplay is where the only issue comes in. Enemies toward the end of the game become too spongy and the action can be hard to follow with all the particle effects. That can create some frustration, especially with some Pacts of Punishment later in the game. Those add to the particle effect mess, and while it really is beautiful to look at, it just becomes a tad too much to follow.

But each run is different and you can select items that can help shape your experience. You can favor Zeus for some area of effect damage, you can favor Athena to give yourself more survivability, or maybe you want to get some Poseidon effects in to shove enemies around. If you don't want any of those, you can use items that increase your health or starting currency for upgrades later in the run. With six different weapons, each with four different styles of play, there's a lot of fun to be had with the experimentation in each go.

There really doesn't feel like there's anything like it out right now. It's a $25 game that you can easily get fifty hours out of if you want to reach the epilogue. If you beat the game, you'll probably want to go that far to see the full completion of the awesome story. It's so much more engaging and the development behind it was way more ethical than any AAA title. It's more complete than a AAA title, too. I haven't encountered any noticeable bugs, which is a fantastic change of pace given the state of other games like Cyberpunk 2077 or just about any Ubisoft title.

Hades absolutely hits the nail on the head with every development philosophy Supergiant had in mind when creating it. It's without a doubt the best game of 2020, and that's admittedly a low bar, but it's such a bright spot to start the next decade of gaming with. There is really nothing else like it and it's another piece of quality work from a quality developer.

I quite like this game. Lots of fun, addictive, lots of depth. Well worth the $ for the hours you'll get out of it. Good characters and great voice acting. I would give it an 8-9/10.

I gotta say, i've never played an isometric action-rpg since diablo 2 that made me have such fun. All creatures are entertaining to fight against, game does a good job of balancing fun and challenge.

Dialogue is very well done, it creates a very believable atmosphere (even though game is fantastic in nature), that we do cheer for Zagreus and his attempts at escape. There are many side characters, each one you want to talk to more. Frankly my only gripe with the game is that, after getting used to mechanics, game can be finished under an hour. Each "run", you try to escape the underworld, and once you die you start from the beginning. It takes a while to learn the game so you still have alot of hours to get there considering the general difficulty of the game. But after learning all that, you'll finish a run around 40 minutes. Definately worth the price though.

This is definitely my GOTY for 2020. It melds high action isometric gameplay, with a rewarding progression system (ironic, since you start from the beginning a lot) and an engaging melodramatic story.

The best game I've played in a while and extremely addictive. At first I wasn't very excited by the isometric view and I was doubtful that it would surpass Dead Cells as a rogue lite but, boy, was I wrong. I finished the game weeks ago, including the epilogue, but I keep playing it daily.

This game is a Page Turner in game form, at the end of every run I think to myself 'Just one more run maybe?'. Every run is vastly different, with brilliant dialogue writing and Voice acting keeping you just as engaged as the fast-paced intense combat. Haven't been this engaged by a game in a long time.

    - Style (-uniqueness): The game has a cartoonish but very stylish look. The menus have this usual Greek feel to them. (10/10)
    - User Interface: Everything is fairly easy to see and understand by a glance. (10/10)

    Sound: 10/10

    - Voice acting: This is one of the best parts of the game. The voice acting is amazing, and every character has a very suiting voice that conveys their personality. (10/10)
    - Music: There are incredible hits in this game with and without vocals. My favourite little thing is that after you clear the room, all the instruments stop except the bass. (10/10)
    - Sound effects: Every little thing has its own sound effect, my favourite is that every god has their own little effect when you get a boon from them. (10/10)

    Gameplay: 8.8/10

    - Controls (ease of use): The most important part of the game. I tried keyboard and controller as well, I like the controller better. You have to dodge a lot in this game and there’s a lot of button smashing, I feel like just holding down the button should elicit the same result – yes, one of my favourite buff. (9/10)
    - Unique systems: Well, standard rouglite-deckbuilding formula. You get stronger and stronger as you progress. You can also get temporary buffs & debuffs. It is possible to create nice combos, but I wouldn’t say there’s much very surprising. The delightful thing is that there are a lot of weapons that you can also edit. A lot of variety here. (8/10)
    - Difficulty (settings, scaling, etc.): I think there is a steep learning curve here, but after you understand all the enemies and bosses you can feel quite competent. I heard that there is also a “god mode” so if you are only interested in the story, it is possible to just enjoy that. You can also make the game more difficult later on, so fair play to the developers here. (10/10)
    - Grind: There is a lot of content here that you CAN grind for. I think that completing the main story takes a bit too much time, but I never really had to grind for anything. (8/10)

    Story/Lore/World: 9.8/10

    - Characters: All the characters are from Greek mythology and I think they are all fleshed-out pretty well. Their personalities are well reflected in all aspects of the game, e.g., in the case of gods, even their boons reflect their personalities. (10/10)
    - Writing quality: Incredible and smart writing. The mythology really comes alive, the characters and the world feel alive. (10/10)
    - World design: I think it was really clever how the developers could fit a rougelike game in the Underworld, you really feel like you are progressing through it in an attempt to escape. I would have preferred more locations. (9/10)
    - Story/Lore: Greek mythology, what else do you want? Of course, there is a lot of material to work here, and I think the developers have done a fairly good job of showcasing the Underworld. There are a lot of stories and lore here (10/10).

    Technical: 10/10

    - Optimization: Never had any issues. (10/10)
    - Bugs: Never encountered any bugs. (10/10)

First of all, greek mythology is widely known and loved, and we can tell that the developers love it as well, because they put a huge amount of love in the story and in the game in general. The story is brilliant and it makes you want to start a new run as soon as you finished the last. The voice actors are simply brilliant. This might be the first rogue-like game where i love the level design from start to finish. The environment can be challenging, but only to the point where it doesn't become frustrating, they balanced it really well.

The variety of how you can play the game is huge. We start with one weapon, and then we can unlock 5 more, and unlock overall 4 aspects for each weapon, which change how they function. There are melee weapons, ranged weapons, slow weapons, fast weapons, there is one for everyone. Then on top of that we get the buffs (boons) from the gods on Olympus, which also allow us to create multiple builds for every weapon and every aspect of them.

Now someone might think, "oh well, i'm interested in this game but it looks to easy or too hard for me". They made sure that it's not an issue. There are multiple "difficulties" for this game. You can either play on normal or you can either active god mode or hell mode. God mode lowers the amount of damage you take as soon as you activate it, and then it increases everytime you die, up to 80%. Hell mode activates the pact of punishment (on normal and god mode it only activates once you do a full clear once) as soon as the game starts. These are there to give everyone further challenges and rewards from boss fights. And doesn't matter which difficulty you play on, our character will get permament upgrades from the mirror of night. These upgrades contain damage upgrade, cheat death mechanic, gives you more chance to recieve better buffs from the gods, you can reroll room rewards or even god buffs, gives you more mobility, etc.

I would recommend this game for everyone, even if you never played a rogulike before.

I HATE roguelikes, yet I love this game with all my heart. I'll be honest, I'm not the best at these kinds of games, but I found Hades very approachable and enjoyable. I did eventually take advantage of the game's god mode to make thing's a little more manageable (all god mode does is reduce the damage you take) since I kept dying somewhat quickly. I had fun before I turned god mode on, but the game actually felt beatable when I turned it on. It still took me a total of 18 tries and 11 hours to beat the final boss for the first time even with this god mode on.
One of the things I love about this game is that while you start over when you die, progression items carry over, which gives a sense of progression that no other roguelike I've played gives. In a way, dying in Hades can sometimes feel useful and rewarding, since you can now spend or save all the items you've collected while playing.
The combat in this game is god damn amazing. The many different weapons all feel different and have their own play style. You'll very quickly get used to one of these weapons and will want to try and beat the game with it. For me though, I actually beat the game for the first time with a weapon I didn't like too much. That just goes to show though how good the game's combat is. Even with weapon's you aren't used tom, as long as you're good with them, you can succeed.
Since this is a rougelike, there are a lot of random aspects to the game. My favorite of these random elements are the "boons" (powerups) that you can get on different floors. These are gifted by multiple gods that help you along your journey. There are SOOO many different abilities and ability combinations that It would probably take over hundreds of plays to see them all. Like the weapons, you'll find specific powerups that you like more than others and you hope they'll be there every run. But, like with the weapon, I actually won against the final boss for the first time with a super weird set of powerups. Again, it goes to show how well this games combat is set up. These random abilities can all work together so well.
The story of the game is also a highlight. Without spoiling much, the playable character (I'll call him his nickname, Zag) is trying to escape the underworld to see the surface. It's a simple enough story at first, but every time you die, some of the story might unlock. You also get to talk to multiple gods in the house of hades, which is also where you can upgrade yourself and your weapons. These NPC's always have something interesting to say, and most of the time it's something related to your last run. Considering every line is voice acted, this is super impressive! There are so many different lines to hear, and the voice acting is just perfect.
I really like the music in this game. It's nothing I'd listen to outside of the game, but it gets your heart pounding in those intense moments.
The upgrades that you can unlock after dying feel worthwhile and useful. They all have different purposes, and depending on your play style, you'll end up focusing on certain upgrades more than others. The weapon upgrades also feel nice and upgrade the look of your weapon.
The artstyle. THE ARTSTYLE!!! THIS GAME IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

My score for this game is a 10/10. This doesn't mean it's perfect, just that its a masterpiece. I barley have any problems with this game, and the ones I do have can boil down to me just being bad at the game. BUY THIS GAME!!!! I will continue to play this game until I get burnt out of it.

Expand

The best 2k20 premiere by far. I usually write in reviews, but in this case it would not make sense - although I would try very hard, I do not find any flaws in this game. Someone might say that they don't like the graphic style, but it's a matter of taste; for me it's brilliant.

Expand

Gameplay is fast and full of never ending action. The boons that you earn in each dungeon significantly alter your abilities in interesting ways. What I personally prefer is lightning striking when I dash, water spreading to other enemies when I use my Cast, and when I am hit, Weak inflicts upon my attackers. I love the fact that you can also sacrifice boons in later areas and give yourself room to try others without needing to die and restart. That is another thing, dying never frustrates me, as when I return back to the main hub area, there is always something new, be it someone speaking to another or just offering new dialogue to me. I love that you can choose from different weapons and also get upgrades such as a second chance after dying, which I have 2 of those, as well as gaining money every time you enter a dungeon room. There is SO SO much more to talk about but I don't want this review to go on longer.

The presentation of Hades is so mysterious, electric and yet calm at times. The story hasn't fleshed out too hard at the point where I'm at, but slowly I am figuring out information about the lore in this game and I'm always more and more interested to know more. Not much else to say about it.

Character design is impressive to say the least. Most of the time when I play mythological games, characters seem generic in design to me, but I am in love with EVERYONE in design here. Most of all Zag and Aphrodite. These designs are actually perfect. It's incredible. Props to the Jen Zee for the astounding work here.

OST is super immersive. Every piece of music helps me really sink into the fact that I'm always in unknown ever-changing territories and that I need to be on my toes. I plan to purchase this soundtrack very soon, because despite the intensity of it, there is also a relaxing charm to a lot of these tracks. It's hard for me to describe how stellar the OST is apart from that. I had never heard Darren Korb's work before now, but hearing that he has made music for past Supergiant games is instantly selling me on playing them.

Overall, I want to say that despite not having beat the game nor getting past Elysium, Hades is an actual masterpiece. I have not been so addicted consistently to a game like this for over a year now, and I am more than satisfied with the $19.99 I spent on this game at launch week. I can't believe how much love and passion has poured into a game this cheap, and I honestly wish I spent something more like $39.99 on it. I'm going to double dip on this game and get the Switch port, and I will also be purchasing the OST. I want more games like this, which I'm sure I can definitely find if I go take a peek in not only Supergiant's past games, but the genre as a whole.

    This is my GOTY.

The game is amazing! I can easily say it's my favorite indie game, the soundtrack, the voice acting, the sense of humor given to the game itself is completely perfect. The replay factor of the game is involving and makes you want to play more, the weapons even if they are few, there are still variations of them that you unlock over time.

This is actually one of the games that you can enjoy playing. It starts with basics and then builds up and becomes more and more intense. The passe is good, the graphics/art style is beautiful and overall the fighting is fairly ok and looks nice. In general, I would recommend the game. The action, the story, and the overall experience is worth your time!

It's not exactly a hot take to say that Hades was one of the best games to be released in a long time. Even amongst a sea of Triple-A titles in past years, this game really shines through in every aspect that matters: Good story, top tier voice acting, addictive gameplay, plenty of replay-ability, and an amazing soundtrack. The death theme being tied to Dies Irae is a wonderful touch.

One of the things that really makes it stand out is that, as games continue to push limits of realism in graphics, Hades takes a more refined approach, letting a rich and colorful environment keep the eyes busy during the fast paced top-down gameplay, while boasting an attractive art style and character design that helps push the narrative parts of the game.

This game reignited my love for Greek mythology through some refreshing re-imaginings of classic characters in a way that seems to pay respect for the origins while also offering new perspectives on a handful of Olympians and others of note.

Now for my actual hot take: I feel like Hades is possibly the best example I've seen in being "woke" without feeling like pandering at all. The lack of AAA production keeps a level of soullessness out of the equation, allowing for the storytellers to represent LGBTQ+ characters as a natural part of the world without it feeling forced. There are gay, bisexual, polyamorous, and non-binary characters, just as you find in the mythology on which its based, and the inclusion of those themes alongside and intertwined with the story beats around family, love, and loss is refreshing.

With over 70 hours invested so far, I'm starting to feel addicted.
    There is no escape.

Hades is a roguelike action RPG developed and published by Supergiant Games. It set a new bar for roguelike games with amazing visuals, character development, and storyline. Hades does have a few minor issues that plague most roguelikes. But these don’t impact the overall experience of an amazingly great game.
