    Modding was one of the most basic foundation of GTA 5. They said that the mod tool they forbid edit something for gta 5 online, but that's simply not true (that's not from me, but from a big tech and gaming site); the tool only creates mods for single player. And if it really would affect multiplayer, then sorry, but that's the fault of the developers; i'm sure it's possible to verify theModding was one of the most basic foundation of GTA 5.     Take Two recently sent a cease and desist to the developers of OpenIV effectively killing off the games biggest mod tool under the veil of preventing cheating. Add to that the fact that GTA Online continues to be a hack filled mess on PC and you have the recipe for one baaaaaaad review.

    This is a cool game! If you don't have any plans for a day and you want to relax with a game, This is a game for you! You can murder or kill people for no reason and destroy stuff. I played this game and it is fun and enjoyable especially with friends just messing up. I don't know about the missions cause I didn't play it and I think it is more fun to jack off and blow some ****

    Grand Theft Auto 5 is a good game, however it is more of the same. Rockstar did little to change the genre that it created with Grant Theft Auto 3. GTA V is essentially a conglomeration of everything that came before it. The story and characters (Trevor, Franklin, and Michael) are compelling and interesting. The graphics are astounding on the PC. The gameplay is the same as all of itsGrand Theft Auto 5 is a good game, however it is more of the same. The gameplay is the same as all of its predecessors, which is exciting and fun.

    I feel like Rockstar could have done a little more innovation. Rockstar is a company capable of producing high quality, unique games. GTA V was a rehash of the company's old efforts in new packaging. The only difference in GTA V is the ability to play from 3 different main characters. There really is no "main" character, which is not a bad thing.

    All in all, GTA V is a good game with not very unique gameplay. It's more of the same that Rockstar has produced before, but it's still fun and offers many moments of enjoyment.    … Expand

    Take Two and Rockstar threatened to sue a modder without good reason. This sort of toxic behavior should not be tolerated. Don't support them by giving them your money.

    Pros: Very large, extremely detailed world. Character switching is a lot of fun. Plenty of cars to choose from. A lot of things to do. Obviously, a lot of work was put into the making of this game. Works quite well on my lower end machine. It appears to have a lot of replay value.

    This game is awesome. The story is absolutely amazing, the world is huge, and the gameplay mechanics are great. The only problem is that after a while it turns into one of those games that you play when you are bored. But otherwise its fantastic!

Geforce drivers up-to-date on GTX 970, does not matter if it is installed on a HDD or SSD i see no difference - takes 5-10 to load into a singleplayer, then you have to choose join friends which takes about 10 mins to load up, then fails to connect to session andHow can somebody even like this?     overrated. Definitely fun to play but does not deserve all the hype. The story for single player mode was meh while the multiplayer mode was definitely really fun. Never finished the story due to it being kinda boring.

    First is Single Player because its easy.
    Single Player is a near perfect masterpiece. Probabaly the absolute best single player game of all time. If you are looking into this game for SP, then its a no brainer.

    However, next we have "GTA Online"
    Its a mixed review.
    I have a lot of hours into online and I will continue to put a lot of additional hours into online.
    PROS:
    It gets constant content added several times a year the release "free" DLC's
    There really is a lot to do, if you wish you can really role play the most corrupt criminal to the fullest extent.

    CONS:
    I'll just start out with the biggest con.
    The game has clearly taken a big turn in the last couple years and its intesifying toward micro-transactions.
    Its pretty obvious, the keep raising the prices of items you purchase in game, compared to the amount of money you earn. Unless you are dedicating your life to this game, its pretty hard to obtain the in game items. And if you are starting out as a new player, the amount of money you need to catch up is really a huge obstacle.
    I am not one of those people who are defiantly against micro transactions, but these aren't even fair micro transactions.
    Rockstar keeps raisning the price of the in game items, but the amount of money given out on a "shark card" has never been adjusted.
    Here is an example, a 8 Million dollar shark card (unless on sale) costs $99 always has.
    It use to be that most items were under 1 million with the extremely high dollar things around $2 million.
    So for $99 you could typically buy say 5-15 items for $99.
    Fast forward to today.
    Most items are over 1 million closer to 2 million on average) and the most expensive items are 4 million with a yet to be released item that is going to be 6.5 million. Rockstar is really going for a money grab here and they aren't even attempting to hide it. Not to mention that the latest DLC the amount of money you can earn per hour has actually gone down from the previuous ones. So higher prices to buy stuff, lower income from doing work. So you are forced to not really play the new DLC but the old ones for cash. Which is a shame because the new missions are actually very fun, they just dont pay well.

    So if you are new and want to ever come close to catching up to current players you have 3 choices. 1.) Buy Shark Cards and ALOT of them. Several hundred dollars worth. 2.) Play an insane amount of hours, quit life and play this game every day, all day long 3.) Cheat - Find mods or a modder and get "modded money". Warning you can actually get banned for this. I cant even beleive I am giving this advice out, I use to depise money modders, but given the greed coming out of Rockstar now days, I really understand why new players would do it, and I dont frankly care anymore.

    So you might ask, Why do I have this game as recommmened still.

    When it comes down to the game itself, single player and even online.
    It's fun, there is a lot of varitey, I can do missions, I can race cars, I can pvp, I can play mini games (and there are dozens of varietys of games) I've played 600 hours and honeslty still to this day havent even played 1/2 the things you can do. There is a massive amount of content. The game is fun.

    The politics behind the scenes is horrible, the comminity is toxic, and the micro tranactions are getting out of control. But at the core its still fun and I still enjoy it after all this time.
    But on the other hand we probabbaly wouldnt get all these updates without the microtransactions, so there is that factor too.

    I rate GTA 5

    Single Player gameplay:

    8/10 (-2 for community)

    Dynamic and unique gameplay seems to have been very important in the design of this game, and it certainly shows. Every single time I launch GTA, the    Grand Theft Auto V is by far the best game that Rockstar has released into the series. The vast open-world environment paired with the simply insane gameplay often lead to a very enjoyable experience that not very many other games can offer.
    Dynamic and unique gameplay seems to have been very important in the design of this game, and it certainly shows. Every single time I launch GTA, the experience is new and varied. This is especially helped by the inclusion of three main story characters, which can be switched to at will. Each of these characters is vastly different form one another in personality and abilities, but yet they fit into a much wider and gripping storyline. This is especially shown off in a few of the many story missions, where the three characters can be used seamlessly and as a team to complete a task. Rockstar knows its strengths, which is why literally the first mission in the game fully utilises this mechanic.
    Thankfully, the fun and crazy action of the games missions also transfers into the free-play in between (which you can easily spend hours playing). The large map of Los Santos and Blaine County are perfectly designed to allow the player to do almost anything. Want to fly around in a jet, steal one from the military base (but try not to get shot down); feel like starting a gang war, just rock up and start one. Almost anything that the player can come up with can be achieved so brilliantly in GTA V (which can also be enhanced by the use of cheats that can be inputted). Both the free play and missions of this game have been wonderfully designed, with incredible scenes of action continuously maintained throughout. The new first-person feature has also been included in this version, adding an entirely fresh perspective on the word of GTA.
    The DLC is a bit controversial, the items being added are what everyone wants, but the price of these items in game and also in real life are extremely expensive. For example, if you want to by a hangar with all the upgrades and the most expensive plane in the game with all the upgrades also it will cost you over £100 in real money for two items, that’s crazy. This is also a great business model, but it’s getting ridiculous as it is turning into a pay to win game, which becomes boring as you’ve got to play missions over and over again to earn money, but still not get enough money to buy a single DLC item. Originally when the game came out the items were all reasonably priced so shark card were a good option that get plenty for your money. They have expanded this game greatly adding new experiences and whole new meaning to crazy but if only it was affordable.
    In addition to the story mode, Grand Theft Auto has a multiplayer alongside it. This can be switched to at any time, where many, many more options become available. GTA's multiplayer is free roam ramped up to 11, especially with the new larger lobbies that the Xbox One and PC versions of the game offer. After customising your character, you can do missions to earn in game currency, then continue to build your own little empire of illegal warehouses, upgraded vehicles and hangars full of planes. The opportunities are even greater than that of the story mode, but yet it is exactly where the only problem with GTA lies...
    Having owned this game since it first launched, I have personally experience the incredible growth of the Online, as Rockstar add many new (and free) DLC's. These for the most part have been incredible, each becoming more ambitious than the last and expanding the game massively. However, as more and more items are added, they begin to cost more and more of the in-game's currency. This has reached the point now where it quickly becomes a boring grind to even be able to afford the cheapest of the new additions. Of course, Rockstar offer "Shark cards" that can be purchased with real world money and translate into game currency, but this is just adding to the issue, with Rockstar adding more and more expensive items so that they can gain more profits from the game.
    Overall Grand Theft Auto V is a massive success, which has really set a standard for open world games, but soon becomes a grind if you're interested in purchasing the newest items without having to use your real world funds.    … Expand

    And to think GTA IV had breathtaking graphics. The visuals in this game are insane. It feels so real and so visually stunning that you would go for hours into this game and not want to let go at the end of the day. Though the story is a little short but it's OK cause the city comes to life. So many places to go, to see.     Further nobody joins Heists as they are mininum in rewards to effort.

    The Story mode might be OK. Do spend any more than 10 bucks on this game (plus subsribition fees)    … Expand

    I bought it nearly 4 years after its original release because a friend of mine convinced me to buy it. I have never EVER seen such a p*** p**** optimized game in my entire life. I am running a high-end system which manages to play the newest titles in 4k 60+ FPS without any problems. First of all: Loading Screen for me is 4-10 minutes    I signed up just to write my review of this game:

    I bought it nearly 4 years after its original release because a friend of mine convinced me to buy it. I have never EVER seen such a p*** p**** optimized game in my entire life. I am running a high-end system which manages to play the newest titles in 4k 60+ FPS without any problems.

    First of all: Loading Screen for me is 4-10 minutes for the online mode - reinstalling, changing from HDD to SSD, repairing etcetc. nothing helped.
    Second: Every 30 minutes the game crashes with a GFX_Initial Error which, apparently, according to the internet, exists since Day 1 of release and has not been fixed or attempted to be fixed because, well, Rockstar doesnt even know its origin. Nice. So basically I can play 30 minutes without crashing - then I have to reload the game for about 10 minutes - that's my gaming experience so far.

    I tried all the fixes I found on Google and Youtube, I reinstalled everything, even changed to several drivers and I am simply done.
    I CANNOT oversee these errors especially because they were known since the beginning and nothing has been fixed (or maybe even tried??). I am glad that I didnt pay 60 bucks for it...

    For everyone in 2019: dont bother guying this game - chances are it's not gonna work on your setup too since newer and better systems struggle even more with this garbage game according to the forums and google.

Пuздец начинается, когда ты заходишь в локальную сеть. Много читеров которые будут по КД тебя убивать. А потом ты получаешь БАН за то что просто был в сессии с читером.Игра крутая если играть с друзьями или в одиночку. Много машин, оружий итд. Не игра, а просто мечта. Но почему я поставил такую низкую оценку? Пuздец начинается, когда ты заходишь в локальную сеть. Много читеров которые будут по КД тебя убивать.     Where do i even began with this game, the gameplay is downgraded from GTA IV, there's next to no activities outside the missions, unless you're into playing with dog and doing some yoga, but is it something you would expect from criminal sandbox game? I surely don't. Plot is pretty straight foward, with tons of fluff between missions actually important to the story. Characters? Who cares about Michael's stupid family? They're with out doubt the most useless characters in this game, deal with either his annoying childrens or his cheating wife's shenanigans, am i playing CRIMINAL SANDBOX GAME or am i watching sitcom? Franklin is basically a tool, he's used as a puppet for entire game until very last mission, personality wise? He's simply a stereotypical "gangsta", moving on... Trevor? Useless comic relief character who used to work with Michael. Freeroaming? Yeah but what for? After you find every redundant movie reference, there's nothing to look for, locations that seem all alive and inviting during the missions are all empty and deserted during freeroaming, is it really big and living city or is it just some ghost town? More than half of the time city and small towns feel like the same things, with little npcs appearing. Sure you can start fighting with law enforcement only to end up fighting with cops no matter what you do, for example literally every previous game in the series made you fight with military and fbi agents, here no matter how hard you try you'll only fight with cops. Realism? No.
    Killing people with single punch, overracting npcs and surving being shoot in a head multiple times, undestroyable vehicles that get launched into space from driving into a gate or the fact they all have the same driving model outside of maybe what trucks and motorcycles? There are also few useless side missions that are literally just normal missions but with "rewards" like reskin vehicles,some little extra money and...oh yeah nothing else. Sure one of them edits that stupid website you can find on your phone...yay. Avenging someone we know nothing about and has nothing to do with the plot of the game how exciting!
    The multiplayer...this is the funny one because it's milked dry cash cow, at first it was basically just GTA IV's multiplayer with missions, races,robbing stores and deathmatches. Later they add some thing that were somewhat functional and annonuced the heists, overhyped these to death while in reality they ended up being very underwhelming, now the multiplayer is filled with microtransactions all over the place making the game straight up pay2win, sure you don't have to pay to get things you want but if you don't do that you will have to grind for months to get something decent, grinding means you will have to do the same underpaying mission over and over until you burn out and decide to pay, only to get mediocore junk. As now the game is filled with script kiddies and pay2win players and very few old school players if any at all. Nobody is playing deathmatch anymore, no one is going to race, literally nobody is playing heists, everyone is either grinding the same mission for no end or freeroams while blowing each others up. It's not really fun in any way.
    As for controversies, baning mods was one of their dumbest decissions considering the fact they were the only thing that kept the game alive, scraping few singleplayer dlcs for sake of a casino that more than half of playerbase is not able to use? Were they sober when they come up with this? Or sane for that matter? As for the casino itself it's shallow and nonsensical you either win ridiculous amount of cash or lose it all while betting very little money...
    This game in both singleplayer mode and multiplayer mode is load of bs you are better off playing any previous game from the series.    … Expand

    The servers are filled with hackers. In every session there is atleast 1 modder who is doing his stuff and annoys other people. + The servers are horrible slow. Sometimes the game loads like 10-15 minutes untill you are finally in game.

    I took it for free from Epic. Downloaded it, finished first mission to get access to online. No way to connect to online. After googling for 2 hours i get some advices. Did all of that. One of them require to delete profile and finish the same scripted first mission again. After verifying all files and reinstallation, online wasnt working still. There's lots of great story missions and then there's also very bad/meh ones, so overall i would say GTA 4 had better story, but GTA 5 is still fun enough. But the real star of GTA 5 is it's open world, map full of interesting places, easter eggs and of course ocean exploring.     “Take-Two’s actions were not specifically targeting single player mods. Unfortunately OpenIV enables recent malicious mods that allow harassment of players and interfere with the GTA Online experience for everybody. We are working to figure out how we can continue to support the creative community without negatively impacting our players.”

    In the first sentence you distance yourself from Take-Two. Nice. Unfortunately, Rockstar is a part of Take-Two Interactive, so either it's a case of left hand not knowilng who's being kicked in the balls by the left foot or... you think we're going to forget that you are Take-Two as well.
    Let's say that OpenIV does have a hole, let's say that it is the truth... WHY WON'T YOU WORK WITH THE MODDERS TO FIX IT!? OpenIV was made specifically for single player, it wouldn't even allow to go online, so that's hard to believe, but since you like to support the creative community so much, why didn't you said anything to them BEFORE bringing up a lawsuit? Modders aren't a malicious force... For **** sake, half if not more of Valve games started out as mods! Besides, if you gave a dead dog's cock of a damn about Online then you'd remove microtransactions from the game. Or made Online a standalone, free to play game...

    Not sure what all the fuss is about. The story is practically non-existent, the graphics and controls are dated for the time in which it was released, and it is a far cry from previous entries in the series. The only redeeming factor for me was the online which was excellent.

    Meh story, with really great world built around them. Looks pretty though. Can't say i'd recommend it to anyone though. Play a few missions and you've basically seen the entire game. More of a simulator than a game.

    However, GTA online is a totally different story. It's a wannabe MMO that fails in every single regard. The grind is ridiculous, the load times are near endless, and the connection problems are continuous. When i've tried to join GTA online more times than not i've been thrown into a German or Russian server even though i'm in the middle of the U.S. There are hackers in probably 50% of the servers as well. But worst of all is that the large majority of the missions are just flat out boring. You'll finish most of the stuff within 10 hours and only be at about level 15. The rest of the game will be a grind of playing the same stuff over and over again. The only decent part of online is the heists, which you better have 3 other friends to play with because finding a game with 3 randoms is a nightmare nobody should experience. Talk about trying to form for 20 minutes only to get in game and have someone die, then try a couple more times with people dying for one reason or another, then somebody decides to just leave the game and you're thrown back to forming up again. You've wasted over an hour of your time and haven't even done anything. And to top it off when you actually finish a heist finale you'll be rewarded with around 2,000 RP (experience). You can get 1,000 RP in 4 minutes by finishing the quickest race by yourself. It's not balanced at all and you get better rewards for doing the same thing over and over again rather than tackling the hardest missions in the game. It really took a downhill turn coming from GTA 4, The characters are lacking development, especially Franklin, Franklin is really undeveloped which made his character sound/look like CJ in GTA san andreas, micheal and trevor are the same. Under developed characters which in the end you don't care about anymore. Story is stupid as well because it looks like they really dumbed it down so that the younger audiences would understand the story better.

    Another complaint I have is lack of content... I remember they announced GTA V a long time ago and it was advertised like it was going to be big. So I was expecting San andreas big. (San andreas keep in mind had the most content out of every single GTA game out there.) But I was disappointed, the content it lacked after finishing the missions and all the side missions makes you bored of offline mode really fast.

    But online mode is great, tons of contents and heists, too. The online mode is at least 10 times better than single mode which made me skip story mode for GTA V on Pc. But the GTA V online community is a joke and filled with immature people which makes me spend most of my time playing GTA V alone.

    I would recommend getting this game if you are playing for the online, but skip the single player mode.. it's not worth playing.    … Expand

Driving physics is the worst i have ever seen in any GTA game. The ciy feels dead and i feel no attachment to any of its locations. I suppose the game does offer some interesting characterization, and I do love its brilliant satire and sass, but ultimately GTA5 is so very average.

The game is not bad, let's face it, you can be a gangster for one day, graphically it's extremely beautiful, it's cool that there's an open world with random side-stories happening and stuff but other than that, the missions are boring, the control is pretty bad, there's not even a decent storyIn one word: overrated.     Not only this game is unpolished and clumsy despite it's sky-high budget, the singleplayer had no DLCs/addons/whatsoever and the multiplayer is monotonous.

    It is not good game in many ways.

    The main problem is with online mode.
    Sometimes, most of the time, you only see loading screens.

    return home and take a shower... But it's the better option. It can return to exit online mode and after long time of waiting you will end up looking at Franklin, Michael or Trevor.
    Second thing is that there are so many idiods playing this game. I know that it's not R* fault. But they are forcing me sometimes to play in teams where acctualy they are not needed.
    Next thing is low level required for bank heist. Just let's try with some low levels make it on hard mode.
    I didnt see any possibility in interface to kick some one.

    And interface is ugly - it could be enough if it were gra san andreas but take a look at watch dogs!
    There is nice and clean interfaces - not clean black boxes with text.
    Interface isn't even consistent - sometimes there is enough to choose something using arrows and sometimes you need to accept it with return.

    Cars...
    This is something worth buying in this game but not all. I mean a Limo, Heli, Planes - there is acctualy almost no point of buying them.
    I bought a cheap boat and when I call Pegasus I get a random boat!
    And when you call limo, you have to go quite distance to get it... without driver..
    But wait! You have to PAY every time you call Limo, boat or whatever.

What I mean by this is that there is a lot of padding and many features, but very little depth. This is a drawback of sandbox games, though I feel Rockstar could have done more here. Once you have done cycling, tennis, golf, darts etc, you forget aboutGame is overwhelming at first, and very exciting. Once the game settles in you realize how there is so much to do, yet nothing to do. What I mean by this is that there is a lot of padding and many features, but very little depth.     Single player storyline is fun, but could be better. The characters are very over the top, particularly Trevor so they get annoying after a while, and Michael's family is horrible, which is the point, but it can be a bit grating at times listening to them.

    Car handling is ok, but too light, and this makes driving less exciting. Cops spawn too quickly and are too trigger happy, making cop chases less exciting,, but still not terrible.

    Online is currently a mess as Rockstar has little to no anti-cheat system and no dedicated servers giving modders too much power. Rockstar has some of the worst customer support I have ever experienced in a video game company. They will not address it at all and cheats can even remove reports of cheaters, which is the only option of reporting cheaters. There is a cheater in almost every lobby, and they will freeze you, blow everyone up, god-mode, spawn objects on you, teleport you, lock you out of your vehicle and even crash your game. Players are downloading hacks just to protect themselves now. It has been weeks and Rockstar has yet to address this epidemic.

    If Rockstar fixes the cheating problem then I would give this a 7 or an 8. But, until then it gets a big fat zero.    … Expand

    I purchased this game 60% for the online mode - but it's totally a waste of time.

    It's too difficult to actually play/enjoy the online mode.
    Why?
    Party gathering takes a lot of time.
    Matchmaking, to call it so, is very poor - You get in party/team with players of very different levels, different languages and it makes it very difficult for you to have a good social and team-play experience to actually finish the hesit after a long wait to finally start playing the speific mission.

    Not to add what I find the worst part ever:
    People spent real money to buy GTA Shark cards for money.
    ROCKSTAR, have you noticed that on every single server there is at any hour at least 1 guy which does spawns instant kills to every player on the map or spawns money? A friend of mine got 25.000.000$ at level 5.
    That is awesome for him, but what about your customers? Is this fair? He was not banned, nor the hacker nor any other hackers I ever heard of being banned.
    Seriously, you add money to be purchased for real money but you let hackers to spawn endless bags of 40K randomly.

    So therefore, not to mention that the hackers do teleport / instant kill / spawn money - they ruin even the online freeroam.

    I also want to mention another downside for the GTA: Online, which is: no animals. Seriously, why?

    So in the end, Rockstar should either improve the online like 110% - or refund all the customer that purchased Shark Cards for money.
    Also refund me and all the users that paid for the game 50% of the price - Online is unplayable and NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
    As an advice, you can at least create role playing games of 100/200 people and add a chance of role-playing.
    As the unofficial SA:MP mode - it would be way better.

    In the meanwhile I can only add as a big fan of all the series and customer of all series even on the mobile, that this game actually worths a torrent download - don't waste money for it.
    Rockstar does not give a "F" about its customers and scam people by making them buy online money cards while they leave hackers spamming bags of money and instant killing players. No admin/Game Master nor Anti-Cheat system.

    Thank you for your time if you read until the end, this is my opinion. For all the people that worked at this game you have all my respect, for Rockstar - hope you will hear your customers feedback and take actions then I promise it will be a 10/10.    … Expand

    What should have been an exciting multiplayer sandbox is just a micro-transaction NO-FUN-ALLOWED grindfest, where the only reward is a nicer looking apartment or faster version of a vehicle you already own. Rockstar's state of the art peer-to-peer servers are guaranteed to enrich your GTA:O experience with a multi-cultural smörgåsbord of laggy scriptkiddies filling your chat with moonrunes or BR?BR?BR?

    Some of the gamemodes are okay but most are **** and it's extremely boring to play the same **** over and over just to earn a fraction of that new supercar I'd like. There's not much to do in freeroam, since Rockstar doesn't want to let you have any fun without forking over real money or downloading a mod menu. (Note: I've never been banned or had money removed from my character.) The only good thing GTA:O does is the racing; It's actually one of the best casual racing games for PC today.

    This game used to be really good, but then the developers had to start making hard decisions. They decided to ban modding, which was a big mistake. Mods are the one thing that keeps a game like GTA interesting, and they're very money hungry.
