    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. doesn't feel p2w, needs at least higher rendering distance, problem is stamina(sprinting, swimming, climbing, gliding and same for all characters, you need to pick collectibles in order to increase total amount of stamina instead of getting some by leveling up a character, which i'd prefer for ease of movement without teleporting all the time), gliding is quite slow Collapse… Expand

    I don't care. This game is clearly a rip-off of Zelda BOTW. They stole everything, from animation style to the game mechanism. Now I even know that they also stole from Final Fantasy as well.

    Yes, it is not that good, if you never played such game (like i say, most japanese MMOs, all korean MMOs, and almost every single mobile games). In fact compared to other mobil games ( just remember, its in fact a mobil game with cross play function), the small pitty for 90 draws, where you get    So no one is saying the game itself is bad. People talking about the Gacha and Gambling System.
    Yes, it is not that good, if you never played such game (like i say, most japanese MMOs, all korean MMOs, and almost every single mobile games). In fact compared to other mobil games ( just remember, its in fact a mobil game with cross play function), the small pitty for 90 draws, where you get a random 5 star garantieed, and according to the survy, most people will reach this pitty between 70-80th draw.

    Alright even 70-80 sounds terrible right? that means you need about 200 bucks for a random 5 star (50% to be the pick up one), or 400 bucks for the pick up one if you had bad luck. But lets think about the free crystals you can get. Approximatly you get about 6000 crystals each version, and genshin updates every 40 days (its basically 2 banners, each for 20 days). So without paying anything, you get 6k crystals every 40 days as long as you just spend about 10min each day for dailies, and doing all campains ( either 4-7 hours for the whole champain, or about 30min everyday during champain). In addition to it, you get about 10k crystals each major area, where you have 3 currently plus 1 time limited and only gives about 2k. So lets say, join the game play the first month and paying nothing will give you about 36k crystals, which is more than 220 draws. If you willing to pay a little bit for it, get the monthly subscription which costs 5 bucks every 30 days, grant you 100 crystal every day and 300 genesis crystal (the currency where you can only get buy paying real money, used to exchange 1:1 to crystal or buy some packages/skin from cash shop), even more you can get a battle pass for each version, which costs you extra 10 bucks and gives you 5 draws (800 crystal) for time limited banner and 5 for normal as well as 680 crystals and tons of resources. So paying about 15 bucks you can get almost a pitty every month considering the 5 monthly free draws from shop and most people get thier pitty between 70-80.

    So what do you get from gacha? Either Powerful and/or cute/sexy waifus. But the game is completely playable even you dont draw a single charactor (there are people doing this way as challenge), you just need some player skills and spend a bit more time when fighting boss.

    And those complaining about "Pay to play daily", they meaning the rensin system, oh yes, you get about 180 rensin regen for each day, those daily activities costs you either 20 or 40 each time when you want to claim the prize. And you can spend up to 900 crystals every day for 300 extra rensin, if you whale it, bringing you tons of more trash relics and about 300 extra exp, which means almost nothing if you plan to play long with it (since the game is softly capped after lv55, and even not spending a single coin on it, you get at least 50 moons from main quests result in 3k extra rensin, and you can hit lv55 within 3 month buy just doing the daily and use your daily 180 rensin). So in some way, it is pay to play long, but even if you whale, you cant play it the whole day.

    And just to make it sure, its neither an MMO or a Diablo-Like game, which keeps you on endlessly. Even those 3As, which also turn out to have nothing to do for the most people after the first 100 - 150 hour game play. As its an PvE game without super hard dungeons, its just fine to not have all the charactors. ( i mean, you want to play an awesome game, but dont want to pay for it, and you want to have everything? games are not charity i mean. f2p means you have to gave up some game experience)    … Expand

    okay, i noticed if you go on the bad reviews, all of them talk about the resin wall. yeah sometimes it can be a problem, but it replenishes over time so you may have to wait a few hours between playing. also, you can get fragile resin for free just by playing, so you can replenish it yourself. my only advice is to not rush through the game, then complain that there’s nothing to do. youokay, i noticed if you go on the bad reviews, all of them talk about the resin wall. yeah sometimes it can be a problem, but it replenishes over time so you may have to wait a few hours between playing. also, you can get fragile resin for free just by playing, so you can replenish it yourself. my only advice is to not rush through the game, then complain that there’s nothing to do. you don’t need any fancy character’s to win the game and if you want a character, just save up wishes. you don’t have to pay to unlock everything. before anyone asks, i’m AR 41… Expand

    The world graphics are a horrible rip-off of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the climbing and swimming mechanics also being the same. Not enough people realize this is a cheap beg for cash. Characters are boring, most are there for fan service. A terrible game that you should DEFINITELY not play.

    Very nice game since 1.4 update. Many things are fixed and the game is getting better. Many people are complaining about wish system but who cares, the game is brilliant. I spend some money for the Battlepass and welkin moon for primogems boost and I still don't find this game as a money bank.

    Poor optimization, not a low-end device friendly , when you play on controller and use something like square for example i use square for normal attacks and here`s the bad part: it holds the square by itself like it`s charging attack by itself and this is a horrible thing to experience.

    they didn`t add controller support for mobile devices yet (i played on android and there was no controller support - idk about iOS) i consider it like developer laziness.

    they don`t improve their optimization even it`s while now since the game released.

I can't let pass that this game took me by the ba..(heart)s . Nice world. Extensive gameplay. Plenty. Of exploring. Itens that took me10 months to find. And may be more hidden feom my very eyes.

You can aquire new characters with better skills than others with the Gatcha system, but it's not the only way of getting them (some are currently only obtainable through the Gatcha but the game is only 2 months old and already there are have been about 2-3 events every month where you can easily get those, and the amount of characters only obtainable through Gatcha decreases.).
    The stamina system doesn't prevent you from doing much of anything in a single day, it prevents you from repeating the same mission 10 times a day to get the best loot, preventing balancing problems. Every other quest which you get either daily, with a certain level or just by exploring the world do not require this stamina.
    I don't get why people act like this is just another scam gatcha game. There's clearly a lot of effort put into this game and the Gatcha rules are clearly stated, and seem to actually behave as stated.    … Expand

    Why are there so many negative reviews. This is a gacha game where they want you to come back and tempt you to spend money. Besides that, this game is amazing filled with mystery, adventure, and characters to collect. OST AND TRAILERS ARE A BOP.

    I reached the endgame and have to say, that I cant reccomend this game.
    The endgame is pure pay to win. The endgame content is boring and the gacha system is unfair.

    The only good part of the game is the Open World Content.
    But once you have completed the Open World Content there awaits you pure greed programmed and designed as a game.

    Amazing game.If you like open-world rpgs i definitely recommend playing Genshin Impact.It's an amazing game with a vast open world and A LOT of fun content to go through.Despite having a gacha as one of it's mechanics,it's extremely f2p friendly.It also has great story and amazing character design.Events also happen from time to time and they're,mostly,very fun to do and also give youAmazing game.If you like open-world rpgs i definitely recommend playing Genshin Impact.It's an amazing game with a vast open world and A LOT of fun content to go through.Despite having a gacha as one of it's mechanics,it's extremely f2p friendly.It also has great story and amazing character design.Events also happen from time to time and they're,mostly,very fun to do and also give you (generally) very generous rewards.It's also very good at making each players accounts and teams being unique in their own way with the amount of customizability regarding your team it has to offer,with loads of different characters,weapons and artifacts.I'd say the only negative point is that it's not easy to run it smoothly on mobile,so,if you want to play it,your options are pc or console,mobile really isn't one of them.There's another negative point i'd like to point out,but this one is not regarding the game itself,but rather a big portion of it's community,which is very toxic towards both f2p players and the company,asking for impossible changes or changes that would damage the f2p experience and also attacking the company,in the form of content leaks for example,putting them into legal trouble with their partners and employees.From what I've seen,most of the negative reviews are coming from those people.Those people are also very aggressive towards people that just want to enjoy the game ,so i would recommend staying away from them.… Expand

    it's ok, good voice acting, characters, story, amazing music and scenery.
    but you know what?
    my computer can't even function properly because of this game, even at lowest my computer starts to lag. as you see i have a terrible computer also, the resin + pity system is really dumb. if you got the game solely for the waifu/husbandos don't even bother trying to pull bc this game likes the    it's ok, good voice acting, characters, story, amazing music and scenery.
    but you know what?

    I am at adventure rank 53 around 100 200 hours. I am going to explain the previous reviews.

    First, the Zhongli stuff that’s old news about people complaining that a rare character was “weak” even though he was very strong. BUT mihoyo listened and gave him a buff in the next patch now he is an amazing character. Ignore everything about Zhongli Next wishing I again have spent $21 CAD    I am at adventure rank 53 around 100 200 hours. I am going to explain the previous reviews.

    First, the Zhongli stuff that’s old news about people complaining that a rare character was “weak” even though he was very strong. BUT mihoyo listened and gave him a buff in the next patch now he is an amazing character. Ignore everything about Zhongli

    Next wishing I again have spent $21 CAD and have got 7 5* which are rare characters/weapons. Paying in my mind is stupid. You have a .6% chance for a 5* (guaranteed at 90 pulls) and 7% for a 4* (guaranteed after 10 pulls) and the rest is 3*. You can make a beast team with them no matter what you get with the satisfaction you get from the quick cinematic gameplay. Nothing is a bad thing even in late games I am using 3* which some are overpowered. The currency to buy the wishes are primogems which can be bought or play the game and get a steady stream of a few wishes a day. If u want a massive wishing sim find something else this gives u a heavy amount but not a maaaasive amount. The 5* just are “fancy ” they want you to get a feeling of excitement when you get one not meh another one which would happen if you get too many. They just want you to lay the game for a tiny bit I run this game for 2 hours at most 20-30 for all the basic stuff.

    The graphics and story is amazing even side quests build so much lore and excitement (also gives many rewards). Drop in for the story and you will be Amazed and you got a solid 100 hours not much grinding.

    The community is super helpful and kind I have found so many people who want to help people out and they made me into that kinda person. There are always a tiny bit of junky people but the kind people weight them out. If you need anything people will drop everything and help if they are playing.

    A few downsides are the very limited security which there are some I. Development but there are so many people it’s very rare to be hacked. I wish it would be added sooner to protect me and others but they are trying to keep us having content and be protected.

    Resin system this is the game's stamina you need this for grinding your character stronger like getting mats and getting rewards from bosses. You do not need it for the story or just beating the boss for fun and there is so much other stuff to do. Mihoyo seems to be hearing us and they just reduced the 3 weekly bosses cost in half for 3 of them (max cap 160 used to cost 60 now 30) there are 3 now 4 which reduces so much cost which gives more for grinding for gear(artifacts ) and boss mats. They give you items that restore resin which if u save until at 45 to get the best gear you can get about 2400 resin at least which is a lot if you save you will be swimming in it and be able to get the best gear more efficiently and get guaranteed 5* artifacts which give better and more stats. If you save you will be fine.

    It’s cross progression(pc and mobile via account) and plays with all systems. There is 4 player co op the experience is based on YOUR wifi, not your buds it makes it easy for a strong person to help you win a hard fight. The co-op is limited to servers (America,EU,Asia and SAR) you can have different accounts but your na game can’t have cross progression on EU but you don’t need a VPN or anything to make a EU ac in NA. The sad thing is you can’t play with EU and NA.

    Genshin Impact is probably one of the best free to play games for console of all time, right up there with fortnite.. this time theres more of an action jrpg meets breath of the wild feel, you choose your starting twin, the other is kidnapped and its up to you to rescue them, throughout your journey youll meet new characters that the game gives you for free, and there Is the option to buy new random characters which is where the fee to play aspect comes in.. howver I found this to be highly optional.. here youl be running from checkpoint to checkpoint, unlocking chests for new gear and adventure xp.. something that is actually the most important aspect on genshin ompact.. exploration.. you need to explore to progress the game which is ultimately what made me stop playing 13 hours in… the grind here is absolutely abysmal… I loved progressing this weird story that was impossible to follow for me.. going through the dungeons, just to see where this world would take me next, what enemies and bosses it would throw at me.. and after a while the game starts flowing down, you go to this point now go explore to unlock the next chunk of the story.. so you do that, gaining adventure experience, leving up your charcters, finding new weapons, it was so addictive.. I didn’t mind the break.. im bac, lets continue this story.. heres 2 or a 3 quests.. now you need adventure level 15.. okay… I guess I can do that.. go out.. do the actually thoughtful side quests… a couple hrs of grinding.. ive maxed out my charcters, now I can accend them and level them up twice as much.. I finally get to get back to the main story.. and wall… 1.. I get 1 main mission until the game is like come back after you reach adventure level 25…. Twenty… five…
    I just grinded for hours to go up 3 levels.. and you want me to go up..10.. more.. levels… sure theres a level 18 main story sitting there… but whos to say I don’t grind 3 more hours for those 3 levels.. doing mindless, exhausting, map cleaning.. only to get one 15 minute long story mission again.. with nothing on the other side but climb 8 more levels for that level 25 mission.. I couldn’t.. I just couldn’t do it.. I tapped out.. that being said.. my ascension to level 15 was great.. genshin impact rally is a great game with a beautiful world to explore… and at the very least, youre going to get a great.. free… 12 hour game that sure oyull have to youtube the ending for unless oyu have literally nothing else to play and want to sink what looks like over 40 hours into opening chests and activating teleportion posts..
    Usually I can grind for a great story, but like I said earlier, it was hard for me to follow, and a story that didn’t make sense in the context of the games delivery.. you cant tell a story of urgency while telling me to go find wheat for a boy to feed ducks… same issue I had with the story in the witcher 3.. you feel like its important that you find and help this person, but hey go do this other stuff that in the grand scheme of the story isn’t impactful in any way… tell a different story…
    it’s a shame that such a large emphasis on grind took the wind out of the sales for me.. but I really can appreciate this game for how great of an experience it offers as a free to play..

    Botw was better. Genshin just side tracks you all the time with sidequests and commisions. There is also too much gacha involved, Just play Botw instead of this

    Not bad MMORPG,but have some problems : monotonous and boring gameplay, like: went a long way for the quest, talked go back to the nine lands, or take some item on the quest and again go back almost to the end of the location, and it's a little annoying.

    I like most things about this game and have a lot of fun on but there’s a couple of things that NEED to be fixed, first how long it takes for your resin to replenish is so bad that after 30 mins of playing your already done everything you can do for the day(after you hit ar40). The anime-inspired visuals are inviting and colorful, and the fully voiced, nicely choreographed cutscenes give the game the feel of a premium product. It also gets you going with the gameplay very quickly; thanks to solid control design, you'll be running, swimming, climbing, dodging, gliding, fighting slimes, and slinging spells just a few minutes after the intro cutscenes wrap up. And once your first additional party member officially joins your posse, things start to get very interesting, as you'll start to learn the ins and outs of the elemental interactions that make Genshin Impact unique.

    And there's plenty to do here, too. Even though many areas of Teyvat haven't been made available to explore yet, there's still plenty to do and see. There are chests to find, teleportation spots to activate, all kinds of raw materials to accumulate, side quests to complete, and big baddies to try and slay. If you want to stop exploring and relax a little, you can try your hand at cooking food, forging weapons, and even conjuring up rare items through alchemy. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, you can even explore certain dungeons with others online using co-op play--and, thanks to cross-platform compatibility, it's easy to join up with others no matter what they're playing on.     Genshin Impact is amazing! A lot of people say its pay to win, but you don't have to pay money and plus the game gives you the in-game currency in general. Some people just use the characters given for free at the beginning and are perfectly fine with it

I have played through the story twice (once on PS4 and once on PC/Mobile) and the game still leaves me in awe every time I simply go to do my daily quests.     I hated this title with a fiery passion when the trailer was first released. I considered it to be a direct ripoff of my favorite game, Breath of the Wild. In late December my boyfriend told me to get it. I downloaded Genshin Impact on my phone and really enjoyed the first few hours. The game didn't feel like a ripoff to me, it felt like a love letter to the Zelda franchise. The OST isI hated this title with a fiery passion when the trailer was first released. The OST is perfect, the graphics are stunning, and the character designs blow me away. The amount of work that goes into each character's outfit, idle animations, and lore is incredible.
    Despite that, Genshin still has big problems. I don't really mind the resin system but I understand it limits a lot of gameplay. The Gacha aspect turns away a lot of potential fans and can be detrimental for some individuals. That is to say, Gacha is not integral to the gameplay. The four or five free characters you get are really good if you build them right(Kaeya is a god). Another issue is the repetitive nature of the missions. I get tired of sweeping leaves for Albert and mopping up some kid's boat but you have to keep in mind that the game hasn't finished yet. It probably won't finish for years to come. Plus, I used to be an avid Red Dead Online player so I'm used to participating in repetitive missions and menial tasks for a sliver of cash.
    I feel like it is important to add that I have spent money on the Gacha system. I have spent $25 in total. $15 for Xiao on his last day and $10 in the months since for the Welkin Moon Blessing. I didn't get Xiao if you were wondering. It is really easy to drop $300 in 3 minutes for even the prospect of getting Diluc and hackers are a big problem. Mihoyo seems more invested in closeting leaks than fixing bigger issues.
    I really like Genshin Impact so my review is going to be very biased. Please take my words with a grain of salt. If you hate this title with as much passion as I did when it first released, just try it. If you still hate it, then that's ok.

    Kinda a nitpick: (1)I saw a review that said they paid full price for this game and complained about the Gacha system. Genshin is free. (2)A game cannot have the potential to be labeled as "AAA" because that term is defined as follows, "AAA is an informal classification used for video games produced and distributed by a mid-sized or major publisher..." By this definition, Genshin Impact is a AAA title. I just saw some misinformation and wanted to correct it.     I have only started but my experience has been awesome so far. It feels adventurous and the combat system (although the combos maybe lacking) is great. The domains are all endearing. The story is a little bit weak but not that bad. 8/10 so far

Игрок никак не взаимодействует с миром, в игре практически нету закрытых локаций, кроме подземелий. И продолжать можно ещё долго Чего только стоит тот факт, то что вы не можете пробежать даже main-квест без фарма и прокачки ранга приключений. Это делает игру ужасно затянутой, скучной и однообразной.
    Прокачка в игре бессмысленная, ибо у её нет конца. Только вы прокачали персонажа, как ту же уровень мира повышается, и вам приходиться качать персонажей снова. Это замкнутый круг. Если всё вышеперечисленное для вас критично, если игра не приносит вам ничего кроме скуки от бесконечного фарма, то пожалуйста - перестаньте в неё играть. Это пустая трата времени.

The story on Genshin Impact is nothing out of the ordinary but is fun to experience it and there's nothing to lose if you plan on just being a F2P player. The gameplay is simple, fun and the open world is beautiful with a lot of stuff to explore. The game has some co op features like being able to join someone else world and explore it and also the ability to play domains (dungeons) in co op mode were you kill mobs to obtain certain rewards as long you have enough resin.

    I have to admit that exploration on Genshin Impact is really good and you feel like there's always something new to do, however when you complete the story and do every side quest possible is when the game begins to fail. On Genshin Impact there's a system known as "resin" which is basically a stamina system. In order to make progress on the game you need to use resin for the rewards to drop. Once the resin runs out you are basically left without anything to do and the open world will feel empty as you cannot make any progress without resin. Playtime on Genshin Impact is reduced to basically 20 minutes per day as everything that makes you progress requires the use of resin.

    Genshin Impact as of right now lacks end game content which doesn't help much and most updates that drop are basically filler "festivals" that have little progress on the story. Not to mention that most of the mini games during the festivals are basically straight off rip off from other existing games. If you plan on playing this game for a long time, dropping cash is required if you desire to obtain a certain character.

    Now for the censorship topic. Genshin Impact is made by a company whose slogan is "otakus tech saves the world" but those words don't hold much. The developers of this game tend to make a bait and switch with characters already being presented. If you see a certain character introduced, you can bet that the final design will be "adjusted". For example a character know as Rosaria was introduce as an NPC and a few updates later said character becomes a playable character. However the character goes from the largest bust in the game to the smallest one from the tall female cast. I'm not sure why would developers change the appearance of existing characters on a waifus & husbando game.

    Overall good game but the lack of content, censorship and developers not listening to the players feedback, might may you think twice and look for an alternative.    … Expand

I thought this was an accident, so I purchased it again. On the store, the purchase showed the 'first time bonus' as if nothing was ever purchased.     Runs Terribly on ps4 and the gacha system is plain evil and extremely dangerous to the community. Dont waste your money. If you want to spend a **** ton of money just buy a switch with breath of the wild and you'll be spending a lot less money and getting a much better game

    You can explore map. Exploring means find every chest on the map. There are four kinds of chests: common, exquisit, precious and luxurious. Each give some rewards, but mostly it's trash, something decent you can get from luxurious chests, but there are about 40 such chests.

    There is no end game content, one thing you can call "end game content" is Spiral Abyss. First 8 floors are fine. You do trials to get nice rewards, but first 8 floors one time to visit only. 9-12 floors resets every few weeks, but instead of getting good amount of "Primogems", 300 like from each of first eight floors, you get 150 gems. And last four floor trials not even nearly easy. You need to kill n-number of mobs, for certan amount of time. Each floor have three rooms, you can pass with rate 0-9 stars, 3 stars 50 gems. Every mob in last four floors is overpowered, with hp and damage. Especialy last floor.

    Now, Primogems - how to get and spen them.
    You can get Primogems by progressing the story, for each quest you will get aproximetly 60 gems, from chests you can get 0-10 gems, also you get 30 gems for first time visiting dungeons, also yo get 60 primo gems for all 4 daly quests, starting from 10th adventurer rank. Or the easiest way to get gems to spend irl money. One gacha roll = 160 primogems, 3$ = 180 primogems.

    Now the most interesting part, gacha or casino, or loot boxes.
    There are three banners "Character", "Weapon" and "Standart".
    5-star has 0.6% to drop, 4-star 5.1% and 94.3% 3-star. Prety dope, huh? For game with limited curency.

    Oh and by the way, every character you have 6 "constilations", like unique passive talents which you get ONLY if you get duplicate of that character, or if MihoYo start event with free characters, I remember only two such events, but you get only certain 4-star character not any character.

    Character banner has "high rate" to get to drop limited 5-star character and three 4-star charactes but also you can get five 5-star charaters and eleven 4-star characters from standart banner.
    The thing here is, "character" banner contain more than characters it also has 18 4-star weapon and 13 3-star weapon.

    Weapon banner has high rate to get certain 5-star weapon. Here is no triks, only 3-star 4-star and 5-star weapon. Pretty peculiar if you check how "character" banner works.

    Standart banner looks like "character" banner but it doesn't have limited, or "high" rate characters. You also can get 5-star weapon there.

    What I want to say is, "Character" banner is scam. If you free to play and you want certain character, it's high probability that you never get it.

    Resin or energy.

    Maximum you can have 160 resin, every interaction with world, like grinding artifacts, money, resources, expirience, cost 40 resin. Weekly bosses cost 60 resin, there are three world bosses now. One resin reganerate every 8 minutes. And of course you can regain it for primogems, aka for irl money.

    In conclusion, game it self good, but there is nothing there.
    And I don't understand why so many people prise that game so much with this monetization, instead of telling developers to change it to the better. Like really, make customization shop, you will still get money, but yea. Greed is good.    … Expand

    It's incomplete, on top of that progressing in this game by doing daily commissions is a chore unless you spend money on it, on top of that as you level up the required material to ascend the characters and weapons increases. It's a bad game or game with awful mechanisms.

    despite the fact its basically p2p, the world is amazing.

    The artstyle is done well, and the enviroments feel great, soundtrack is amazing, and extremely well made.

    Monetization is eh, getting 5 star characters is practically impossible, but it isn't exactly necessary.
    4 star characters can perform just as well as 5 stars as long as you invest the time to level them up.

After reaching AR 40+ you hit the end game already, content is getting released too long which again makes it have an identity crisis with its Triple A title. Everything has a soft limit, you cant progress in game far enough to be relatively "good". Gacha rates is low, there are alot of people defending the rates but were talking about a "Triple A" game here. Personally, the game feels more like a money grab at this point, the devs decided to be lazy and not add unique animations to each character such was walking animation but rather have a universal animation despite getting alot of money already. Game is good initially but at its core it feels more like a mobile gacha game that had an identity crisis than a true Triple A title. Overall not worth your time playing in the end game.     A two - because the level-design is actually at 10+. But personally I just cannot play the game. And that is why:

    The beforementioned level design gets totally screwed up by ugly camera work. The camera is always resetting to horizontal view, and has a very low speed in vertiсal directions. The graphics are made that way, so even on the lowest settings, it can still look brilliant. The storyline is addictive and interesting. The soundtrack is a masterpiece.     The first ~30h was really solid, if you enjoyed the exploration in BotW you’ll definitely enjoy these hours. However, once you’ve explored the whole map, there’s not much left for you to do.

    IMO the best way to play Genshin is to explore everything and then wait for the next map updates (maybe every 4-6 months?).

    Chests should respawn every few days so players have a reason to continue exploring the beautiful landscape developers have created. It's relaxing to just explore the game even if I visited the area before, but no chests gives players no reason to keep playing, it makes the world feel empty.

    The rate of primogems a player acquires should be the same as it was in the beginning. Being able to do only one wish a day, even with a paid subscription, is just not enough incentive to keep playing. If there was a way to keep grinding for primogems that allowed for at least 10 wishes a day, that would be ideal, but the thought of grinding for a week or more for just one chance to get a new character, it kills my excitement for the game.

    If the developers reworked their gameplay/resin/primogem model, they could have a much larger loyal player base. Would have played for several more months with a subscription if they changed these aspects of the game. Instead it's only playable for about a month before the game feels stale and unplayable. A shame considering they could make more money and make more people happy if they just changed these few things.    … Expand

    What i don't like about this game is : Latency. Why they're putting "latency" on a single-player game like this? Look, if we're playing or talking about co-op mode, then it's pretty much reasonable that we should bear with the latency. Look, if we're playing or talking about co-op mode, then it's pretty much reasonable that we should bear with the latency. But nope, even on single-player mode we even get this "latency" thingy, and this is annoying because ALL of your action are server-sided, means if you have high latency, means our movement is slower and sluggish. I've experience 100ms, 200ms, and 300ms+ gameplay, thanks to my ISP. You'll have no problem when you has less than 100ms latency obviously. It's getting somewhat annoying to play this game at 200-300ms+. Try it yourself, but if you don't feel any difference, then you're somewhat ignorant.

    Resin system is no good too, because the regeneration rate is way too slow (20 Hours/160 Resin). Not to mention we spend it all in less than 30mins daily. I know this is to prevent the players from progressing too fast (please don't call it resin-management 101), but hey that's bad idea because:
    1. Resin are NOT used for collecting materials alone (20/Run)
    2. Leyline EXP Card & Mora need resin (20/Run)
    3. Weekly Bosses also need resin (60/Run)
    4. How about artifact? (20/Run)

    Speaking of artifact, they should make weekly bosses to 100% drop random *5 artifact when you've reach at least AR45, otherwise i find it pretty useless for the players to raise their AR. Not to mention the prototype drop rate is pretty random too for a weekly event. For daily domain, it's pretty cool to get 100% drop of random *5 said artifact when you're at least AR45. If you can apply it for the daily domain, i don't think it's that hard to apply this for the weekly bosses, too.

    Another one is levelling your favorite character which consume A LOT of EXP Card and Mora. Let's say i want to raise my Fischl from Lv. 80 -> Lv. 90, which cost me around 700.000 Mora. Assuming i got 60.000 Mora / 20 Resin, this will need around 240 Resin.

    How about EXP Card (Hero's Wit) i need for leveeling my Fischl from Lv. 80 -> Lv. 90? I need at least roughly 170 Hero's Wit. Assuming i get 5 Hero's Wit / 20 Resin, this will need around 680 Resin, which is approximately 4 days for 1 character. Fun fact, the dmg increase is not even reach 5%.

    What irritates me the most is the Constellation System. Hey, i know the devs need to make money too, but what's the point of the game when we can't even play the characters to it's full potential? *5 Character has low drop rate, too. Instead of limiting characters full potential, why the devs won't CAP the damage of said characters? It'll be a win-win situation for both the players and devs. The F2P can enjoy the game to it's fullest (Even though has lower damage with F2P equipment as the consequences), while the whales can literally draw even more powerful premium equipment.

    Anyway, i've stopped playing this game this February because i feel it's like a boring chores.
    P.S : I don't have any problem/salt with the gacha itself because i play what i want for fun. Just dropping some honest opinion about this game, hoping it'll better in near future. Thanks for reading :)    … Expand

Other than three skills and three passives, everything is locked behind constellations-that is pulling a duplicate of the character from the gacha system. Problem is, the gacha rate is an all new low in gaming history and the cost for summoning from it is also on par for the stingiest ever (for both whales and free-to-play). But let's say you don't care about how grind heavy the game is, how complete chance holds whether you can build your characters' constellations, you just want to enjoy the characters you pull. It's a gacha after all, right? Well still no. The only customization options players have for their characters are 1-Gliding wings, 2-Weapons, and 3-Artifacts. Artifacts improve your characters' stats and can even give them special passives. Problem is, we have no control over what stats artifacts give us. Not even a paid option. Artifacts can have completely irrelevant stats for the character you want to put them on, and even if you do get an artifact that has good stats RNG plays yet another role by choosing which of those stats to increase and by how much. You can get artifacts by completing domains (usually easy, just a chore wall like most the events in the game) but can only attempt these domains about three times a day. So if you get no good artifacts, letalone "good enough," too bad come back the next day. This might seem like bad luck but then a week passes. Then a month. And then three months. Yeah. Don't play this game. Or at the very least, don't make any purchases such as the Welkin and Battle Pass. I wish this game were better, I was extremely excited for it, but no matter how much I try enjoying it so many flaws go by unfixed with each update. Instead the updates add limited time events that players who miss them don't even get to enjoy.… Expand

    This is an ok game with a terrible support system. I waited for over 2 months to recover a hacked account, got the account recovered, only to have it banned. The refunded purchases they made and I was asked to pay for the crazy amount of purchases that were refunded, and now my account is banned. I understand thebusiness model but it clearly shows that Mihoyo has zero c are for their player base.

I spent about 100 dollars on the in-game currency and the only items I got were duplicates of mediocre characters I already owned, and some useless weapons I couldn't care less about. Imagine, your playing breath of the wild, and before you can leave the great plateau and head on to Kakariko village, you have to reach adventure rank 10 in order to access that next place. Which means you cant go onto the next part of the story without grinding excessively for a few days. This is basically what Genshin Impact is.

    The story is so boring that at one point- Chapter 1 act 2 has you buying things as the main focus. Yes the plot of that whole act is that you walk around Liyue buying jewellery and making perfume, with a broke demigod by your side, and as attractive as Zhongli is- his character dialogue had to be one of the most boring and complicated things I'd ever read in a video game. Chapter 1 act 3 had me grinding a good few days before I had to access it and I don't think I've ever played an a game where I had to wait a few days just to access the next part of the story.

    The game rips off a lot of things. Like I get taking inspiration from games like what Undertale did it to Earthbound but the amount of things this game steals from botw is insane, like I genuinely hope its get better down the line, I really do. And another thing they managed to rip off was fire emblem of all things! Just search up dainsleif and dmitri and I'll let that do the talking.

    So if you lack patience or you appreciate a story rich game this game really isn't for you. However if your a weeb who's willing to spend a hundred dollars on your favourite, "waifu" or "husbando" then go and install this game right now,    … Expand

I think that a PVP can never exist in this game, because it is rotten and poorly planned with the sole intention of plagiarizing quality franchises like Zelda BotW and Nier Automata, focused only on Whale players who have the constellations completely.

    Free players will only take 5 star weapons on regular banners or the character Jean (practically everyone who plays has her) who should be 4 star, but they forced her into that rank, probably to deceive players (Nigguang was already 5 stars, but they dropped their rank and unfortunately killed Jean).

    Bad, stressful events (Xiao's event will be like that too, I guarantee). Abyss is unfair in the extreme, absurdly difficult even for PC users (let alone on smartphones) resetting only the last 4 floors, making it impossible for beginning players (F2P also won't make the abyss easily) to complete it, to catch the miserable rewards. In CBT it was said that there was a complete reset of the abyss, but the ridicule of miHoYo, as it always does everything wrong.

    I insist on saying, do not play. Not worth it. Play Persona 5 on your Playstation, Zelda on your Swtch or Nier and Final Fantasy 15 on your Xbox, but don't play this disgrace here.    … Expand

    A really brilliant open world RPG. It is so cool and the story, the characters the map are cool. The gacha element is not so good, but without it, it wouldn‘t came on Android and Ios. You don’t need to give out money. I am happy with this game.

You get useless weapons if you "roll" and your chances of getting another character is low.
    Gameplay is repetitive if you've played other game titles in a PC or a Console. At first, it's okay. But the longer you play; a few weeks of playing or you're in AR(Adventure rank, similar to level) 20+ in game, the game gets empty and bland. Not much for you to explore or see. Bosses becomes insanely hard for no reason despite character upgrades + high level.
    I would personally choose Fallout 4 over this game. At least Fallout 4 doesn't have a companion in high pitch voice following you around(And no, you can't change my mind about Paimon. She's quite annoying and you can't get rid of her in-game.)
    The game features CO-OP, but due to the game having not much to do(you can't do story mode together), you and your friend can't really do much.
    The controls are okay and the mechanics is a so-so. The elements mechanics in the battling system was nice to have.
    I prefer having more controller vibration detection, it makes me feel more immersed. It would be nice to have more vibrations on arrow shooting, sword swinging, special abilities used, etc and not just explosions.
    It's a fun-okay game, but it requires dedication for the grinding(Don't grind too much, it can make you feel dizzy due to prolonged exposure to bluelight, so don't grind for hours non-stop. Please. It happens to me and you will feel sick, dizzy and nauseous. Don't forget to eat, drink and rest. You are not a mechanical machine.)
    Openly minded, I like this game. However, the developers might want to add more monsters and not just playable characters(they add playable characters a LOT. It would be nice to see other monsters that you can fight) as well improve the controls and mechanics on console and pc gamers.
    Overall, I would recommend this game to anime fans who got time on their hands or if you are just bored and wanted to play this game for **** and giggles. But I personally wouldn't recommend this game for gamers who mainly focus on the story as it can be frustrating to play( as you need to grind and level up to a certain level just to proceed with story.)    … Expand

    DISGUSTING 60FPS LIMIT. Poor render distance even at ultra (grass disappears after 50m). Poor LOD's. Vertical sensitivity is slower then horizontal with no way to adjust it. Data doesn't carry over between servers and there is no ping counter before you choose a server.
    All of these ground breaking problems we're found out in the first 30seconds of gameplay, there's no point in    DISGUSTING 60FPS LIMIT.     game is half assed mobile cash-grab. there is no passion built into this game, only money from chinese mobile gamers.

    The game is great overall for all its characteristis. RPG genre, anime graphic. Combat system and animation is awesome.

    Careful reading the user review because resin problem when the game was released. Currently on January 2021, almost everyone is adapted already with the system, which is very common in F2P game. This game is probably the best F2P with gacha system and best gameplay for RPG.

Кооператив открывается не понятно как не понятно когда (20 лвл3 только из за графики мир пустой и контента 0 когда входишь в город нету чувства что он живой как когда ты входишь в любой город к примеру в том же самом вов бдо и т.д. Сюжет не интерес а диалоги пустые и скучные (возможности скипа диалогов нету, ты сидишь и ждёшь когда закончится очередной пустой ни к чему не ведущий диалог). Кооператив открывается не понятно как не понятно когда (20 лвл набить действительно дело долгое и скучное). Присутствует ощутимая разница при прохождении героем S класса и C класса. Как уже говорилось ранее мир пустой и абсолютно не насыщен в игре за всё время встретил только пару вариаций мобов. Думаю про передвижение стоит вообще молчать ибо маунтов нет крылья бесполезные нужны только при прохождении определённых локаций. Так же насчёт квестов если в кратце долго скучно. Мобы не ощущаются пришёл на персонаже 1-2 лвл как только зашёл в игру и встретил моба 13 (в игре был на тот момент примерно пол часа был открыт только 1 герой и это стартовый) в любой другой игре когда отрыв от моба измеряется 10 -12 лвл-ами вы будете ощущать мягко говоря трудности и дискомфорт но в сей игре мне нужно было смеяться и бегать вокруг казалось бы сильного монстра 5 минут и просто бить его. Подведём итоги: в игре нету каких либо сложностей в плане боссов - мобов, сюжет унылый и скучный, мир пустой и абсолютно не насыщенный, кооператива можно сказать что нет, донат действительно упрощает и так лёгкую песочницу для 5 летних детей в игру в которой тебе надо жать просто лкм без каких либо умственных нагрузок, профессии отсутствуют крафт заканчивается на приготовлении еды, ветки скиллов и талантов нету (у каждого героя 2 активных и пару пассивных способностей). К прохождению не советую. Игра сырая и просто убожеская.… Expand

    Rather than a typical online game, Genshin Impact resembles a traditional single-player jRPG with a real-time combat. For a free-to-play title it is very impressive, but turns out to be pretty derivative and quickly slumps into monotony. [13/2020, p.52]

    Oh, the joy of exploring this beautiful world. Oh, the clever combat, the great voice acting, the compelling story. This is one of the best RPGs of the year. And it’s almost beyond comprehension that you can get it for free.

    Overall, in spite of things that should bring Genshin Impact down, the game is so much fun to play that the negatives are ultimately minor gripes. [...] The gameplay is smooth and simplistic, and it works great on all platforms - though I’m still not sure why the PlayStation version can’t be linked to a Mihoyo account so I could play on my phone when I’m not at home (PS Vita version please??) but it’s a small gripe to an otherwise terrific game.
