FPSC is used by thousands of hobbyist and Indie game developers who enjoy making their own first person shooters. It's really easy to use and can generate very high quality gaming results.

Game levels are created in a top-down view world editor. Just simply paint rooms into the 3D world using special segments that describe what the walls, floor and ceilings look like. Then add characters, weapons and game objects and then build your game. FPSC then constructs the game and places you into it ready for battle - it's that simple!

NOTE: THIS ENGINE IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT/BETA, HAS BEEN IN DEV FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR+

Interesting looking engine. Much more advanced than the original, but at the same time, is looking very disappointing.

The performance is really bad, even with a high end system. Empty levels will seem fine but adding objects heavily dents framerate. ( Do not hold this against the engine, performance is being worked on all the time )

Graphics are very bad at the moment. World shadows look pretty high quality. Textures and filtering looks up to snuff and polygon counts are good. Apart from that, the rest looks bad. Lighting can look bad, lighting isn't always accurate, water is just a flat surface that gives off a very low res reflection and there isn't any AA methods. Not even FXAA. The water is probably the worst looking thing as even Half-Life 2, Far Cry and Morrowind have better water ( Morrowind only just for it's ripples ).

Apart from that, updates are so far really slow and I have a feeling, by time capabilities, graphics and generally everything has been updated, developed and the engine is released, it will look very dated for the release time ( Looks like it might be releasing late 2015-early/mid 2016 ). The engine already looks a bit dated.
