    Make your way through the dungeons by choosing a path from 3 cards at every turn but choose wisely! One bad decision can lead you to the graveyard. Select the next card which will help you get one step closer to redemption!

    You will need to make decisions at every step of the way. Crawl one card at a time and combine objects found in chests, markets and at the end of each dungeon to bolster your character's abilities. Beware of the cursed items and their devastating effects!    … Expand

    I dare say the KickStarter that supported this release would have done just as well if it was an actual card game. I think that could definitely work and if it isn’t in the cards (wink), well, it should be. Regardless though, this game is a great value with it’s strong replayability, and it is definitely worthy of recommendation to fans of the genre, but I think even other curious souls out there should give it a go. It’s is very pick-up-and-play and could spark a new interest in a new genre for you if you are that curious soul.

    Accompanied by wonderful pixel art and an engaging soundtrack, Forward: Escape the Fold is a fast-paced card-based roguelike well worth jumping into. Defeating each boss is satisfying, even if combat is never more than a click of the mouse. It’s the sort of game you can plan to jump into for 10 minutes at a time – but two hours later find yourself still there, pushing through its addictive gaming loop. It’s described as the “perfect bitzesized dungeon crawler” in its Steam description, and we couldn’t agree more.
