Graphics are extremely ugly, everything is brown, these devs don't understand the basic concept of different colors babies learn when playing with crayons. This game is ugly, tedious, clunky, terribly optimized. No reason to be this taxing on CPU and GPU with such basic ugly graphics worse than many games made in 1990. The only explanation is bad programming. This game is ugly, tedious, clunky, terribly optimized. No reason to be this taxing on CPU and GPU with such basic ugly graphics worse than many games made in 1990. The only explanation is bad programming. It's tedious because end turn and even each attack have massive not needed delays that only make the game worse, boring, intrusive. The game also lacks any strategy, tactics, or thinking. You can't move your characters, the only thing you can do is press their attack button and see them attack. That's it. Rinse and repeat. Boring af. Even tho I got this pile of donkey **** afflicted with dieharharerea for free, I want my money back. Expand

this game's graphics are bad, the gameplay is mediocre and not very fun at all.

Basically just a glorified coin-toss. No interactivity besides pressing buttons to roll chances, and for a game claiming it has strategy, the hardest choice you'll make all runs down to "Do I have enough HP or not?".

3/10 cause the art style and presentation is neat.

Decent with friends, gets really repetitive and annoying though. Wouldn't really recommend.

Good mix of board game, classic pen & paper, turn-based combat and roguelike with few new features.

I’m highly impressed with Ironoak Games’ debut. If you’re ready for a long and painful (the difficulty level is so high!) but immensely satisfying wander across colorful fantasy realms, do not delay and buy this wonderful roguelike. [07/2018, p.48]

For The King is a very creative take on the Boardgame and RPG genres with a great focus on multiplayer. The single player mode is more an afterthought than anything else, depriving For The King of much of its allure.
