Aug 27, 2018An equally frustrating and satisfying multiplayer medieval fighting game that looks great and plays great with its incredible optimization; but falls short of the content and networking department. Nonetheless, it's one of the best fighting games I have ever played to date, and I'm not even a fan of the genre.

Aug 26, 2018This game is pretty awesome. It's a very unique idea and everything about it is awesome as well. Graphics and story are great, game play isn't the best, but isn't the worst either.

Jun 24, 2018The game had a pretty rough start, but now almost all problems are fixed. It's even more entertaining than before.
I would recommend jumping in again! :) -
Jun 19, 2018Good fighting mechanics, terrible business model.
Even buying the full game you have to grind ingame currency to unlock heroes, and spend 15k steel to unlock one of the season pass heroes (which is a huge amount of currency). You can spend an additional 40$ USD to unlock those 6 season pass heroes, which is rediculous. -
Jun 18, 2018The game is pretty looking and the animations are great, but otherwise it is really lacking.
The controls are extremely sluggish and frustrating, especially with Mouse & Keyboard. There are moves that are far more useful than others and can alone win you a fight.
I've had many crashes, all for various reasons relating to the game.
Microtransactions. -

May 6, 2018I really wanted to like this game but unfortunately it has all the connectivity issues you have heard about elsewhere.

Nov 30, 2017P2p multiplayer game without anything but multiplayer - is it a joke?
Game balance is horrible and it's getting even worse. Several classes are overpowered? Let's make them even more powerful.
Graphics is great, soundtrack is ok. -

Nov 22, 2017What might have been an ok game, ruined by terrible balance and greed. Devs ineffective at making any real changes, the defensive meta and DLC characters will always reign supreme.
Advertising was outright lying around launch, selling it as a completely different game than what it is. Campaign is a glorified tutorial. -
Nov 14, 2017+ Amazing graphics
+ A great variety of how to play and which hero to play
- Peer-to-peer connection in multiplayer
- A big amount of grind
- A small number of game mods
- Pretty mediocre singleplayer campaign
One of the most disappointing games of 2017. I cant believe that such good idea were realised so badly. -
Nov 9, 2017Game would of had some potential had it came with dedicated servers. I gave it 2 because the combat system and graphics are good. I was fortunate to not buy this game before all my buddies did and all regretted it afterwards and could not get refunds avoid this game at all costs.

Aug 29, 2017For honor is a fun experience. The microtransactions aren't as intrusive as some people would have you believe. The single player component is also well done. The peer to peer servers are killing the game. I can not give this game higher than a 6, until the severs are fixed.

Aug 14, 2017It could have been a good game, all the pieces are there, but it's full of extra grind to encourage you to buy stuff in the in-game store. Don't support such practices unless you want all your games to suck like this.

Edge MagazineApr 16, 2017It's feature-creep, in short, bloat orbiting an excellent core. In that regard, at least, For Honor is a Ubisoft game. [May 2017, p.112]
-
Mar 31, 2017Amazing rich gameplay that is sadly let down by an overly complex UI and hidden barely there tutorials. Sure to be a long term hit. [Issue#260, p.60]

Mar 22, 2017I did have some issues with the game servers early on, but they seem to have been ironed out. And as mentioned, the voice acting and the story mode could have fleshed out a little better. But if you look past those issues, For Honor is a wonderful title. The variation in game modes makes sure that there is something for everyone, and the maps are rotated enough to keep things fresh. The character classes allow you to choose a play style that suits you, whether it is the strength of the Heavy or the speed of the Assassin class. And with controls that are so smooth and optimised, it never seems as though any class or enemy is overpowered. So, if you excuse me, I’m going to don my armour, collect my shield and blade, and head back out to the battlefield... my team needs me.
