    Tatsächlich wird mit der Erweiterung Endwalker das phänomenale Shadowbringers getoppt.
    Passendes Finale für eine Geschichte. Zum Schluss läuft alles zusammen, Zodiark & Hydaelyn, Mond, Spoiler, ... alles da ;)

    Overall, this is a complete Expansion. Bringing new stories, features, and even new PvP modes. Overall it's a great expansion, but I don't want to spoil anything. As a person who doesn't enjoy much Lore/Story, then this expansion still feels excellent!

    One of the most breathtaking journey's i've experienced in video games. They took something i thought could never be outdone (Shadowbringers) and turned it into a SPECTACULAR finale that truly capped off the game.

    This is honestly the very best MMO on the market. The story is not just amazing for an MMO... and not just the best story of any Final Fantasy (in my opinion at least).... Not just one of the best stories in all of gaming, no.... of ANY medium!

    the best video game i ever played and i played a bit of games through the years,
    i honestly believe this is a one in a life time experience and i feel honored to have lived when this expansion released.
    now leaving aside my personal love for the game, there have been some launch issues but those are nothing really and are just a testament that this game is too popular since there is    the best video game i ever played and i played a bit of games through the years,

    the story was great, it wrapped up alot of questions and plot threads that have been open since the release of 2.0 and some since 1.0, they also have mastered a new way of telling story through the use of maps and how to revile them to the player with also new work done on the cutscenes side.

    in terms of gameplay i have leveled and played warrior (tank), summoner (dps), Scholar (healer) and tbh the game feels it's best now where in they did alot of QoL additions to all the jobs and reworked some like the summoner and my conclusion to it that gameplay feels quite good even better than shb in some cases and in general removing 90s jobs and unifying all jobs on 60s / 120s rotations have made the game less confusing for some and didn't really effect the skill gap too much.

    the zones were all magnificent, each offering something different and getting it's screen time and everything, while not being too bad in terms of unlocking flying.

    the fights were really awesome be it dungeons, boss fights or solo fights in the msq they all have been great, and not to forgetting to mention the 2 extreme fights on offer at the release they both are really good and continue the same great design that started in shb while not being too difficult for people to kill and farm easily with random groups while people still learning their new versions of their jobs all and all 10/10.

    Lastly the music, it has been exceptional through out the whole expansion using the greatest iconic melodies of the game and older FF games while also creating new tracks to jam to, for anyone that likes video games music this is a masterpiece by all accounts.

    I didn't think it was possible, but they topped Shadowbringers. After 60+ hours already at the time of writing (1000+ overall in FFXIV) EW has turned out to be my favorite FF story in the whole franchise!

    Amazing how this game keeps getting better and better. Every aspect of the game has reached its peak in Endwalker. Dungeons and trials are visually astonishing and have very solid and fun gameplay mechanics. The quality of the music is off the charts and the story is as beautiful as ever. The best MMO you can play right now.

    The conclusion of this story is beyond great, bringing together everything that has occurred from ARR to Endwalker, making call backs key parts of the story and bringing a satisfying end to this arc of the story.     If Shadowbringers is a 10, endwalker is probably a 12. Unfortunately I can only vote to 10.
    I have never been so immersed on a game like this, soundtrack is absolutely beautiful.

    Endwalker somehow did the impossible and topped Shadowbringers. At least in terms of the main story - of course things may change as more endgame content is released. The story pretty much didn't take a single wrong turn, delivering satisfying conclusions, emotional payoffs and enormous surprises in all the right ways. Well done.

Endwalker manages to somehow make a story even more captivating and emotional than Shadowbringers, which I doubted that it'd be possible. Gameplay is same-old mostly, with more ease-of-access changes to help clarify some things for new players.     Somehow Endwalker made the already amazing story of Shadowbringers even more so.
    Natsuko Ishikawa has truly transcended as a writer with these past 2 expansions, and the music by Soken is top notch as usual.
    Each expansion they prove people wrong who think that they will never outdo their previous success, I hope they can keep this trend going. The only negative I can think of for this    Somehow Endwalker made the already amazing story of Shadowbringers even more so.

    The only negative I can think of for this expansion is the addition of NPC escort quests which makes you unable to mount lest they stop following you (I personally did not mind this because I was taking the story slowly anyway and trying to enjoy all the extra dialogue these quests had scattered around if you took the time)

    Im 37, played all the major titles. This is the best FF story ever told. I feel Final Fantasy has been asking a question all these years, and Endwalker is the first title to provide an answer.

    En las cinemáticas se nota una mejoría en el movimiento de los personajes.

    To me, this is THE best story in ffxiv. Heavensward was my favorite up until this point, but Endwalker takes the cake by a mile. I teared up quite a few times throughout the MSQ. It's such a nice send off to the story this far.

    The best expansion so far, it ends the journey of Warrior of Light that has been going on for 10 years. Connects all characters we met, all the battles we overcome and answers the questions that were unanswered.

    One of the best addons ever made. The only downside are the queue's but its normal when the game got rushed by the world of warcraft community. Its a really good game and the best MMORPG right now!

    What an incredible experience. The story is so full of details and so well rounded that it takes a while to be even be able to fully appreciate.

    Now with the conclusion to the decade long arc, i can say, this is by far the best Final Fantasy story.
    Loved the new locations, the enhancements to the jobs(+additions of the 2 new job classes).

    Final Fantasy XIV was my reintroduction to MMOs after a long hiatus as I have previously only played old school Tibia and Runescape. So, I approached the game mainly as a Final fantasy fan when I started to play a real reborn. To my surprise the game pulls me quickly to the MMO parts of the game with an inviting community and prioritizing Fun above all else. This remains true even in thisFinal Fantasy XIV was my reintroduction to MMOs after a long hiatus as I have previously only played old school Tibia and Runescape. So, I approached the game mainly as a Final fantasy fan when I started to play a real reborn. To my surprise the game pulls me quickly to the MMO parts of the game with an inviting community and prioritizing Fun above all else. This remains true even in this new expansion Endwalker but for me and old time players this is accompanied by a very satisfying feeling that our time spent on the game has meant something due the player actions over the years been represented on this expansion, I am gladly surprised of how the theme of helping others in dark times, keeping hope and the value of life felt retroactively represented in the previous expansions making this complete saga my favorite final fantasy story to date.
    My only regret is that this feeling will not be shared by those who have just recently stated playing the game, however I feel confident than 4+ games of new content still to do for these new players will be a great experience. 10/10    … Expand

With amazing music, great setpieces, fun content and an overall great MMO experience I've had a ton of fun as I shut myself of for the first few days after the early access came out.

    The elephant in the room would be the enormously long ques for anyone who doesn't login early in the morning, but I don't count that against it, since with the current ongoing semiconductor shortage making it impossible to buy new servers AND the huge and sudden influx of WoW players a few months ago make the already insane experience of having to release an MMO expansion even more shaky. There's really nothing the dev team could've done here that they weren't already doing or trying.    … Expand

    Not sure how its possible, since Shadowbringers was ingenious and amazing and raised the bar very high. Yet, this expansion hits even harder, Evoking depth of emotion, introspection and contemplation.     Not sure how its possible, since Shadowbringers was ingenious and amazing and raised the bar very high. Yet, this expansion hits even harder,
    Evoking depth of emotion, introspection and contemplation. Compassionate, humane, touching deeply and all the while remaining entertaining and humorous at all times. Masterfully paced. A brilliant conclusion of a 10 year saga. Satisfying and mesmerizing.
    Music is a joy to behold. Every place, scene and battle is brought to great heights by Soken's incredible vision and talent.
    Writing and characters are probably among the best of any game I've played.

    After the journey here you will be left with feelings and contemplation as to your own. Something only great art can achieve.

    I can not praise the dev team enough. It is a true joy that such marvels are brought to existence.

When I came from wow I was left without conclusions to the stories I loved but this game told me the best story I experienced in a very long time over the course of six years. I had my doubts if they could surpase the work they did in ShB. But after the Story starts a little bit witha Slow-Burn they managed to finish this arc of with a Banger.This Expansion is everything I ever wanted.     Final Fantasy XIV its not just a game...its a philosophical journey. The best community ever, the best MMORPG ever made. The best time to play is now! :)

What I experienced in the latter stages of the Main Story Quest surpasses even the greatest Story-driven games of recent memory. The people at Squenix are geniuses, it takes a whole lot of character, creativity and intelligence to pull something like this off. II wasn't expecting them to surpass the brilliance of Shadowbringers' storytelling and plot, but they've done it yet again. What I experienced in the latter stages of the Main Story Quest surpasses even the greatest Story-driven games of recent memory. The people at Squenix are geniuses, it takes a whole lot of character, creativity and intelligence to pull something like this off. I recommend buying this game to anyone with the means to do so. And if you haven't; you're in luck, as the free trial of FFXIV includes the award-winning Heavensward Expansion and all content up to lvl 60!… Expand

    I have been playing FFXIV since 2014. This game has seen me through so many rough times in the last seven years of my life and I have made so many wonderful and irreplaceable friends playing this game that to say it holds a special place in my heart is not an understatement. I've experienced countless different moments in the story, and over the years may have gotten somewhat emotionallyI have been playing FFXIV since 2014. I've experienced countless different moments in the story, and over the years may have gotten somewhat emotionally attached to a few of the NPCs (Or a lot of them). The Endwalkers early access is the first time in four expansions that I have been able to sit down and play through the game during early access and I was absolutely blown away by the story. Every time I thought I knew where SE was going to go or what they were going to do they absolutely blew me away and turned somewhere unexpected. Throughout the course of the Main Scenario quests I laughed and I cried, I ugly cried a lot. At the end of Shadowbringers I thought SE and Soken would be hard pressed to create a story and the accompanying OST to beat their previous works but they have absolutely gone to the moon and beyond the stars. At this point I have finished the 6.0 MSQ and I know how it goes and even just going through a zone with certain background music will bring me to tears because Soken does suck an unimaginably good job with his music that it still hits just as hard the 10th, 12th, or even 20th time as it did the first time.

    Yoshida and his team know what we like, what we want, what we do. They did the impossible yet again, doing an expansion better than the previous one.

    It only needs one thing to reach true perfection : graphical update. The engine is old (PS3 era I believe) and it brings its fair share of PS3-like issues (pixelated shadows, aliasing, blurriness etc). But everything on the side is so good it doesn't matter much, you either live with it or force SSAA to fix it. (Don't bother with MSAA forced through GPU's control panel, the game doesn't support it)    … Expand

    A story has never impacted me as much as Endwalker and in turn the entirety of FFXIV has. This expansion is the finale to my favorite story of all time, and it nails the landing so well that it feels unreal it was this good. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it for days.

    Let's make it quickly. Story 10/10, I think they did better than any other expansion so far and this already make this game worth playing. You'll cry, that's for sure. Zones are beautiful. Game itself is amazing, Glamour looks even better. Server stability is great with so many players online. Community still great as always. Don't skip cutscenes for the best experience!

    I still can't believe an MMO is putting all the single player games to shame with it's writing. Bravo square bravo. This is going down as one of my favorite jrpg stories of all time. Shadowbringers has been completely and utterly surpassed. What square has been able to achieve must be commended. It's so easy to completely screw up when coming to the climax of an arc spread across 10 years.I still can't believe an MMO is putting all the single player games to shame with it's writing. Bravo square bravo. This is going down as one of my favorite jrpg stories of all time. Shadowbringers has been completely and utterly surpassed. What square has been able to achieve must be commended. It's so easy to completely screw up when coming to the climax of an arc spread across 10 years. But the devs here were not only able to wrap an arc up in a neat little bow, but completely surpass their previous installment (shadowbringers) as well. No retcons, no random plot devices, everything has remained consistent. The developers KNOW their story, and you can tell the love that went into it with the sheer detail in some of the callbacks from arcs that were all the way back in ARR, no stone was left unturned.     It's rare that you play a game that you find nothing to complain about. I really enjoyed how SE closed the Hydaelyn/Zodiac arc. The SE team sure can make you feel like you're a player and not a payer!

    One of the best stories I've ever played through, the fact that this is in an MMORPG/RPGMMO just blows my mind. The story alone can be a whole separate game. In terms of the MMO part, this is how every MMO should be, choices (meaningful btw), nothing is timegated, no dumb system and class design on point. Good Job SE! 10/10

    An epic conclusion to a story almost 10 years in the making. Just the story alone is worth the admission price and much more.

    While the endgame is yet to really get into gear, the journey there and the endgame content that is there is as good as it gets.

    The best expansion so far, closing the the era of Hydaelyn and Zodiark.

    I could not imagine how Final Fantasy XIV could top their game after the release of Shadowbringers and somehow they did it. Having unexpected twists and turns later on the story.

    With the new raid tier "Pandæmonium" coming up, I just can't wait to try it out in Savage.

    Barring the standard server login issues, once you get in there’s little to no input lag at all and I was never kicked from the game once.

    When looking at the story how they handled the entire arc from the last 11 years to come up with what they did is just awe inspiring.     As for the jobs I have 1 of dps, healer and tank already at 90 and I’m in the process of getting tomes for my healer to raid. Most jobs are super solid though.

    Some could’ve gotten a bit more love and attention sure but we have to understand that not every job can be reworked at once. The ones that did get a rework seem great. SMN is my 1 dps to 90 it’s never felt better then now to be a SMN. SCH though could use some love. But I digress.

    As for crafting and gathering I’ve only dabbled a little bit so far but with the changes and improvements they made in shadowbringers I’m sure that whatever entails being a lvl 90 crafter/gather is going to be just fine.

    I hope that everyone enjoys story and that the queue times get better. For me Endwalker was everything I could’ve hope for and more.    … Expand

    Aside from the story and zones the additional content added to the game such as job changes bring a refreshing improvement to the job actions that makes them more fluid and enjoyable to play. The new jobs Reaper and Sage are not only creative but engaging jobs that excel expectations in gameplay and design. They lie amongst the most interesting and fun jobs to play not only for their respective roles but in the entire game and MMO genre.

    The servers have been facing minor issues (such as queues and login errors) as any new MMO expansion faces but Square Enix has provided daily updates on the status of server improvements and has been attempting to combat the issues as best as they can. Users have even been provided with free game time as compensation for the few issues. Considering the semi-conductor shortage that has made it near impossible for them to acquire the proper server technology to rid users of the server issues completely their active communication and determination convinces me that the minor server issues will be resolved quickly.

    All in all Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker expansion is arguably their best work to date and any fan of the game will appreciate the thrilling and emotionally impactful end of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga. The expansion excels expectations in every aspect and leads me to believe that Endwalker is not only amongst if not the best expansion to date within any MMO, but that Final Fantasy XIV is the definitive best MMO to play right now.    … Expand

    Issa masterpiece. For real though Endwalker acts as the perfect end to the first saga of ffxiv. The new zones are amazing, the music is phenomenal and the story is on par, if not better than shadowbringers. So far ive only played Gunbreaker but the changes to it feel really good. TLDR Issa masterpiece.

    What are temporary server issues in the face of a pretty much perfect expansion?

    Though slightly slow at the start, everything past the midpoint is astonishingly amazing, and it wraps up in what I feel pretty confident in calling a splendid ending.

Everything, the music, the cutscenes, the interactions with characters, the duties, the dungeons, the trials, the zones feel carefully crafted with love and passion. I can't recommend it enough.     It is extremely heavy and shocking, yet it is extremely warm and passionate.
    Each dungeon is very impressive and amazing, and the trails are even more astonishing.
    Endwalker is undoubtedly the most perfect ending chapter of this great tale.

    Shadowbringers left us with insanely high expectations, I did not think they would be able to create a masterpiece able to surpass it, but here we are, Story 100/10, gameplay 10/10 (if you're not drk), map design 10/10, the only downside are the queues, but that was expected to happen after the huge amount of new players.

    I have played tons of hours since early release and it is absolutely wonderful. So many great improvements on what was already one of the best MMOs of all time. The story is fantastic and very well told and voice acted. I cannot recommend Endwalker and FFXIV as a whole heartily enough.

    Possibly the best story I've ever experienced. Yes up there with the likes of Chrono Trigger and Xenogears. It is unbelievably good.

    If you enjoyed Shadowbringers you absolutely owe it to yourself to play this.

    This is a fantastic capstone from the story and franchise that they have labored to nurture these last 8 years. They have a wonderful and well balanced selection of previous story characters and have helped the Main Story Quest so that it is more cutscene focused than fetch quest.

    They did what many of us thought was a difficult task, they exceeded all expectations they went farther than Shadowbringers, it's a beautiful and emotional history that is worth experiencing, from the music, the environments the dungeons, and trials. Yes, they had issues with the servers due to a huge amount of players, but I don't think that single thing can eclipse this masterpiece.

    One of the best stories of the entire Final Fantasy franchise. The internet is gushing about this game for a reason.

    Where some other games can get weaker as time goes on, FFXIV has only grown stronger into an absolute juggernaut. The writing, area design, encounters, music, everything - I can hardly put into words how wonderful it is.

It takes its time world-building and introducing new characters early on which makes it seems tedious/slow, but once it gets going, it's an engaging ride.     I thought Shadowbringers couldn't be topped, but they amazed me yet again! Words can't describe how incredible this expansion was; from the plot to the music to the duties to the locales. Definitely my absolute favorite expansion of the franchise thus far. An incredible experience -- As someone else said, Endwalker is a literal masterpiece!

    Best MMO expansion of all time, a perfect finale to sum up a whole 7 years adventure in Erozea. People said SHB`s story telling brought back the memory of JRPG`s golden time, but Endwalker topped it once more. Chef kiss to youship and the devs.

    Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker narratives is not only the best FFXIV expansion but also one of the best stories I have ever seen since the golden days of Final Fantasy VI, VII, VIII, IX, X. The narrative, the way the story was told, and the characters - both good and bad guys, especially the main antagonists are portraited in such a way that you can feel sympathize and understand them. TheFinal Fantasy XIV: Endwalker narratives is not only the best FFXIV expansion but also one of the best stories I have ever seen since the golden days of Final Fantasy VI, VII, VIII, IX, X. The narrative, the way the story was told, and the characters - both good and bad guys, especially the main antagonists are portraited in such a way that you can feel sympathize and understand them. The ending saga of a 10-year story is condensed into 40-50h of amazing gameplay, wonderful music, and cutscenes that truly represent the style of 90s JRPG high-fantasy storytelling. All in all, Shadowbringers and now - Endwalker is the best Final Fantasy - no, mayhaps the best JRPG of all time.

    (This is a non-spoiler review from a person who spent 2000 hours into this game and played a lot of JRPG for a very long time and also, I only review the main scenario quests, the music, and the combat content only.)

    Once again, thank you Yoshi-P, the entire Final Fantasy XIV dev team, and Square Enix for yet again, produce such a wonderful expansion and I wish that may you find success with future projects.    … Expand

    FFXIV is currently the best MMORPG available. The main reason is because it’s RPG first, MMO second. The story isn’t just an afterthought, but an integral part of the experience, and everything else revolves around the tale of the Warrior of Light. It’s logical, well-planned, and presented with great, voiced (or not) cut-scenes.
