    Despite its shortcomings it still holds up. Yes this is a port and yes its not the best of the series. This game does have appeal and a good class system that still holds up. The game takes the engine from droid and you will notice some improvements ie running ability (not just in towns or dungeons) in all parts of the game and also quick load times. If you loved the series you will love this game but do not expect to like this game if you did not enjoy the other series games. It would be nice if they gave us more graphical enhancements but ill take what I can get.… Expand

    Despite the shortcomings and graphical gliches considering it s decades old game so i was expecting these problems it is indeed HD just a flawed one but if you can overlook them there is joy to be found here among other things that only if you are a FF fan

    A classic masterpiece comes to Steam, but this release isn't satisfactory at all: the visual style is too old, but the gameplay stays strong.

    The fact that this PC version is a massive downgrade from the original, or any previous version to be honest, speaks volumes. As a fan of RPG’s I whole heartedly recommend FFV, just make sure you play any other version than this embarrassing PC port.
