    There’s a fairly familiar (albeit shorter) list of things in FIFA 18 to sigh about and wish EA would use some of their ample resources to fix, even if you ignore my paranoid suspicions about bouts of idiocy from otherwise competent virtual footballers. But I must admit that this installment’s renewed emphasis on tricky defending and darting midfielders getting on the end of crosses makes it a fair bit more engaging than FIFA 17 felt on launch. It’s building on where that game left off at the end of its life-span, so if you’re already appreciative of the FIFA ‘feel’, and can cope with more involved defensive duties, you’ll find it suitably inviting. I complain, but another several hundred hours in FIFA 18 inevitably await.

    It's off the pitch that EA excels. From the variety of game modes on offer and how everything's presented, to the constant updates in FUT's Team of the Week, Daily Objectives, and discussion of real-world happenings in commentary, FIFA 18 captures the world of football and confidently translates it into a video game. On the pitch, however, EA's soccer series is still lagging far behind PES 2018's more fluid, satisfying football. This year's improvements are welcome, but more needs to be done in the coming years if FIFA is to be a world-beater once again.

    Each year we are facing with the same issue, EA sports releases a new version of FIFA which is partially or completely broken. The game comes out to release with such bugs that it is impossible to play. People pay for the game 50-100$, and receive a product that does not work. People tolerated it for years, but sooner or later it has to end.

    This year a new version of the game has surpassed all it's predesestors. And a huge part of the community received a completely broken mode Pro Clubs. Critical bugs that not allow to play friendly games between teams and stopped all the international tournaments held in every country of the world. Hundreds of thousands of players spend 2-3 hours of their time to play only one game each evening struggling with the broken mechanics.And these efforts do not always guarantee success. Almost 2 months as EA sports knows about this issue. It released 4 patches to the game, and not one of them did solve this problem. Players tested all possible reason and the occurrence of this error, reported all this information to support, but they do nothing.

    They spend their resources to repair the small problems of the game modes which bring them money for the donation. But it seems they forget that we already paid for the game, and had to get a quality product. We will do our best to make our voice heard and make executives who are responsible for what is happening respect their customers and players. Ultimate Team is much worse than i expected gameplay from offline to online differs so much that youre actually playing a different game

I was in two minds for a while before deciding to bite the bullet and just get it... which i did yesterday.

    The game is just utterly awful quite frankly and is the final nail in the coffin for me... i won't be buying any more FIFA titles.

    FIFA 13 had it's issues... sure it was flawed but it was damn fun to play... Ever since then EA have continuously shat out crap with every release each year... sadly this release is no better than any of the previous titles since then.

    We have the ball defying the basic laws of physics...
    Goalie's simply not moving when the ball is coming towards them from a distance... I literally had a ball bounce off a goalies head and into the net as he stood there like a statue... it was hilarious!
    Goalkeepers are laughably terrible.
    Defending is near impossible.
    Maneouvering players feels like steering a boat in syrup.
    bump into another player and they go hurtling backwards.
    General control is clunky, heavy and very sluggish.

    AVOID at all costs...

    If you are silly enough to buy then then don't go via a third part (ie cdkeys)... you wont be able to get a refund!    … Full Review »
