Sep 29, 2011Great game from start to finish. Isn't as much of a jumpy/thriller FPS as it is a psychological one. It's somewhat fast paced, but also builds up a sense of tension and horror.. as if a little dead girl is following you're every move. A must play of horror/fps fans.

JeffL.Oct 28, 2006About what you would expect in an expansion pack. There's not really anything new but a few weapons. The automatic turrets are kinda neat. It's pretty much exactly like the first installment with extra missions. For $25.00 it's a good buy.

MikeE.Dec 20, 2006Disappointing from a single player perspective. I thought the first one was too short, this one is even worse. Monetarily it doesnt compute. Its potential is limited by the lack of imagination or effort of its authors. I am disappointed!

ChrisP.Feb 6, 2007I liked FEAR, and think this was more fun! Yeah, some of it is similar, but a lot of stuff is new and takes place in different, albeit familiar areas. It's good - don't be afraid to check it out.

Nov 13, 2012This game adds nothing to the game overall. There is still no plot, not enough weapons. There is no reason to pick this up because it is still "go from point A to point B" for no reason. I recommend against getting this.

Nov 25, 2013While not as good as F.E.A.R. it's still pretty awesome, and even more tough than it's predecessor. The action is non-stop, story not that bad, and overall it's just a pretty nice game if you like FPS's.
-
NeptuneUKJan 5, 2007Excellent singleplayer experience, Lack of multiplayer hurts its overall score as people would love utilising the new weapons online!

MartimN.Feb 25, 2007I think that the story doesn't make much sense but the game is really good, I under if F.E.A.R 2 will come to finish the story, Paxton and Alma are still alive and the world is being destroyed... I hope that F.E.A.R 2 come to stores.

BellinoP.Nov 24, 2006Great game but way too short for the price

JordanH.Nov 25, 2006Awesome story line I hate the engine though. I want to know where they guy works out to be able to kill someone in one kick vs 10 bullets to kill somone.

Mar 17, 2014Basically just more FEAR. There's next to nothing new in this expansion. The story is almost non-existent and the FEAR series doesn't even consider it canon. You'll fight your way through the same areas, fighting the same enemies, looking at the same grey color for the entire campaign. Not really worth it unless you're a die-hard FEAR fan itching for more action.
-
Dec 11, 2013This expansion pack is about as fun as the best bits of the original game. The levels are great, and in my opinion noticeably more intense and scary..
-
Sep 12, 2014Same old same old environments, guns, npc, if ur a fan of Fear than its not all bad still fun combat.
Worth playing at its time a lot of reused environments get old, but the gore and kill satisfaction is still one of the best to date which is sad for how old it is.
Worth $2 -
Jul 19, 2012Coming from an experienced FPS gamer perspective ... F.E.A.R. Extraction Point is a chore to get through. There is way too much health scattered around the place, bullet time can be initiated around every corner letting you easily kill every enemy and the scares are fairly cheap although some are interesting to look at. Save your bandwidth and digitally purchase another game.

Feb 16, 2013Its not that this game was bad... its just that it wasn't good x) there was nothing to write home about... No insane plot twists or super fun combat systems that made you turn your head. just boom boom boom explosion explosion explosion

Jul 8, 2014Basically, more F.E.A.R. The quality from the original title remain.
Pros:
+new locations
+new enemys
+new weapons
+continue story from the end of the original game
Cons:
-not so diverse as I expected
-storyplot a little bit disappointing
A must play for those who enjoyed original F.E.A.R

Apr 28, 2020The F.E.A.R. Extraction Point is still playable on 2020 at Windows 10 after FPS fix applied. There is also fix for a too small subtitles on high resolutions, so... have fun after 14 years from the game's premiere :)
-
Apr 3, 2018Nice action, really nice. New locations. There is not so much ammo for New weapons, so old ones still rule. The downside is the plot. It's so repetitive. Funny the first time the problem was repetitive level design.
-
May 10, 2023This game is a complete garbage.
Pros.:
- Characters.
- Some development of the story.
Cons.:
- Glitches.
- They just dumped the characters. The story is awful.
- Level design, locations, overall design - it's all lazyass piece of crap.
- Music. Omg. It is not that better than the original. But still, it is even duller. I though it couldn't be worse than in F.E.A.R. -

Jan 8, 2023A good addition in which we get more answers about the plot. Yes, the game has become shorter, but this is even a plus. Open spaces appeared in the game, and excellent shootings in them. Overall a good addition to the first part of the game.
-
Apr 13, 2023A good addition where the spirit and atmosphere of F.E.A.R. has not been lost. Probably the only addition to the F.E.A.R. which is really worth going through.
-
Jun 13, 2023F.E.A.R. Extraction Point expands on the original's strengths with more intense action, but its short length and lack of innovation hold it back.

-
Today, the added content in this expansion is still fun – but it’s more of a lunch with an old friend than a sizzling date with a hottie you just met.
-
Although this is essentially more of the same with a couple new elements, it’s executed well. The photorealistic graphics, edgy atmosphere, and riotous gunplay mix masterfully to create phantasmagoric art.
-
Even on the highest difficulty setting, Extraction Point is going to take around five hours to beat. Considering only four of the six intervals turn out to be full-featured stages, that's pretty bare bones in terms of price versus gameplay time.
