    Sqaundered potential for a good game. Some of the character development and design of the game is very interesting and visually pleasing. Although after the intro section the characters become very much more one dimensional and boring.     Sqaundered potential for a good game. Some of the character development and design of the game is very interesting and visually pleasing. Although after the intro section the characters become very much more one dimensional and boring.

    That aside the worst aspect of this game is the leveling/crafting of leveled gear. everytime you progress through the game the enemys get harder to defeat with the gear equiped. the difficulty spikes are arranged in such a way that it is incredibly difficult to continue without paying real money to ubisoft to allow the player to level up thier gear via the in game micro transactions. this makes the game very frustrating to complete and even on the lowest difficulty, the player finds themselves unable to progress very abruptly without leveling up gear with resources that become very difficult to accrue once you get under-leveled to the surrounding environment. During this entire game the option of paying some more money to ubisoft is dangled infront of the player to level up gear.

    The game is mostly unplayeble in the state you get it at a full AAA price point unless the end user is adding cost beyond that already premium pricepoint after the inital purchase for gear upgrades. This is a progression system usually reserved for the worst examples of free to play mobile games but instead this is a full price PC game.

    I got this game on sale for about 85% off and that small amount of money ubisoft got off me has ensured I will not be looking into thier future titles at all. Ubisofts management is clearly looking to swindle consumers for short term gains at the expense of reputation and retaining a fanbase. I hope that ubisoft may consider better managment in future otherwise customers will not continue to buy thier games. What was once a company behind some great games that gamers would hold in high regard seems to have become solely motivated to squeeze short term profit from unlucky consumers.

    Far cry 6 is no longer something I will consider in the future thanks to this game. A complete waste of talent on what could easily have been a great game.    … Expand

    This game do NOT deserve 73/100. The graphics are undeniably good and thats it. The map is empty, the story is almost non existent, their entire crafting system sucks. The villians are not memorable at all and are rather annoying. But rating it 3 out of 10 is way too low lol. This game is atleast better than that.

    A slice of colorful **** with a pink burp. I hope that the development vector of this game series will return to parts 2 and 3. This garbage is not even worthy of a torrent!

    The game is absolutely gorgeous. The environment is vibrant and spacious, the animations are smooth and clean, and the voice acting is good too.

    But it's just not fun. The missions feel pointless, the story is way too linear, and it's just not enjoyable to play.

    I wanted to like it because it looks so good, but if it's not fun, then what's the point?

    I like the Far Cry franchise. It always has quite fun and simple gameplay and beautiful graphics.
    What is not good here is the leveling system; some enemies are bullet spouge until you can get a nice weapon (which is not that simple to get, you have to grind for this).

    This game is total rubbish, ever since FC3 this series has gone down the toilet and this is the worst yet. Weak lazy story, weak characters. Dialogue is cringe-worthy at the best of times and adds very little to the story. Way too much talking and following people. The "altered state of mind" scenes were boring after FC4 so why keep adding them in the game.     Shooting is alright what you have to expected from far cry but everything else is bad. Storry horrible, country= reskin, far cry 5 was 9/10 but this is not that funny like far cry 5.

    - Good graphics

    Negatives:

    - The game is horrendously unbalanced. Right around the 3rd last story mission. The difficulty ramps up 20 times. It's virtually impossible to beat the last 3 missions without the best weapons in the game. The gameplay is completely fine with basic weapons up until that point. As a result, if you haven't been focusing on scavenging, you're forced to spend a lot of time scavenging just to get the best weapons to beat the last few missions. Severely broke the pace of the game for me.

    - When you finally fight the twins. They have so much health it's **** ridiculous. I can tolerate some exaggeration, but not this much. They can literally take 500 rockets, and not die. They are only human, THEY HAVE NO EDEN's GIFT or anything. HOW DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE??

    - recycled character personalities from Far Cry 5. Many of the characters spoke with such similar tones just with different character models.

    - Again, they didn't feature a protagonist. Putting the player as the main character is stupid. What's the point of all the clothing customization? You don't see your own body 99% of the time. AJ Ghale and Jason Brody in Far Cry 3 and 4 were well made, interesting characters, with INTERESTING stories. Why can't you guys make a new protagonist like those. HIRE THOSE WRITERS BACK, THEY DID GOOD! The story is really boring and cliche in New Dawn.

    - It was hard to care at all about any of the characters. I didn't give a rats ass about Rush's death, cause there was such a lack of character development

    - your helpers die waaaay to easily, and most of the time it's cause they put themselves in a horrible position, in a place where you can't even revive them. So most of the time they are a liability.

    - It's really hard to care about ANY of the characters that appear. They are sooo one dimensional.

    - The structure is completely based on Far Cry 5. I hated the crafting and hunting system there. And it's the same here.

    - the Perk tree is super small. Where are the drop in take downs? Where are the other cool upgrades from FC3 and FC4

    - There's a severe lack of vehicles in the overworld. You literally need to go to an outpost to reliable locate a vehicle most of the time.

    Conclusion

    I understand the tried to make it more like an RPG. But the pacing is horrible. And RPG elements isn't what made Far Cry great. Do not **** play this game. If you've never played Far Cry. Play 3 and 4. They are the best. Maybe 5.    … Expand

    Are you kidding me? In coop two players can only play together when they are in a diestance of 100 feet. And I never played a game where I just hoped there would be no story, no charakters. Only gameplay. The gameplay is fantastic in my opinion. most of the time. But the rest of it... is ****

    Enemies are bullet sponges, animals will take a rocket to the face and not die(the animals this strong only made sense in Primal), enemies with flamethrowers will kiil you through walls, motorcycle helmets that can barely save your life on a crash apparently are 100% bullet proof, there is only one radio station playing the same horrible music,    Mediocre and lazy, the usual from Ubisoft.

I prefer Ubisoft worked hard to make it feel new . . .just remove the giant open world and move the contrast up and here is the new dawn for you . . we have the co-op mode in far cry new dawn which is hours of fun with your friends. Mickey and Lou are the enemies of this game (ya not Joseph Seed no spoilers). game is an open world as all the far cry games and the main aim of the game is to upgrade prosperity ( the home base in the game) and survive in the post-apocalyptic world defending us from the highwaymen. As always the things don't go as planned and we have many obstacles in our way with side missions to move forward in the game. The storyline of FarCry new dawn is as interactive and interesting as all the FarCry games this game too with 8 hours of gameplay (approx) doesn't disappoint you at all. FarCry 5 being the start of an apocalyptic world, New dawn is its post version although the map is almost the same just a little shorter the colors of the game as compared to Far Cry 5 is eye blazing sharp and colorful, we can see tons of new guns which are kinda made from scraped out guns (As we can see on the trailer too) New dawn is pretty exciting to play and Ubisoft using the new Duniya engine has leveled up its physics game and did a pretty good job as per my view. I Will wait for Far Cry 6 to realize and check up on what new things Ubisoft has up its sleeve for now new dawn is a 7 out of 10 for me… Expand

    It is basically fc5 dlc. Even though it uses 5's map they managed to ruin it. This post apocalyptic world doesn't look post apocalyptic. So much pink and green. It is sooo colorful. What kind of radiation is that?

    To do main missions you need to do side missions. It is annoying busywork. Now ubisoft...side missions are supposed to be SIDE MISSIONS. They should be optional. When you force them it is not side mission anymore!

    Unnecessary rpg elements. Blue gun, purple enemy, green mission. F*CK OFF!

    Enemies are bullet sponge because your weapon is blue and enemy is red or something. You blow them into pieces? Too bad your level is not high enough...

    There are microtransactions! Goddamn microtransactions.

    There are more weapons now. Some came back from previous fc's and others are new.

    It's basically Far Cry 5 with a few new gameplay elements. Whoever decided to add RPG elements into the game, deserves to lose their job. Other than that, it was quite fun and I'll recommend it (on sale).

    Минусы (приготовьтесь): анимации хрен знает какой давности, тот же самый геймплей, что и в 5 части, повестка, речь npc не соответствует ситуации, npc очень тупые, игра очень лёгкая, враги не видят чуть ли не впритык (средний уровень сложности), ужасная физика, 0 сюжета, в открытом мире один гринд, одни и те же аванпосты нужно зачищать по несколько раз, куча багов    Плюсы: красивая графика.

In a post-apocalyptic world where the map is taken from the previous part, and there aren't many new things introduced. The map is much smaller and the story is much shorter. in the game after a while I get the feeling that I have to keep Grinding to get betterfar cry new dawn is a bad sequel to far cry 5 which was great. This game is worth buying at the sale not for the basic price. In a post-apocalyptic world where the map is taken from the previous part, and there aren't many new things introduced. The map is much smaller and the story is much shorter. in the game after a while I get the feeling that I have to keep Grinding to get better weapons. in my opinion it should be a DLC, not a separate game.… Expand

    Main story sucked but gameplay, mechanics and many features added to the game were really good. I liked side activities and additional missions unlocked at prosperity. Although the whole game was very short it well spent time.

    Always liked the idea of FC in the post apocalypse, I like the game's aesthetic and design as well, I just wish some elements weren't dumbed down from FC5 like being able to use drugs, skinning animations etc. Could also use more random events variety and the story is way too short and a bit underwhelming at the end.

    Ich habe Far Cry 5 schon in den Himmel gelobt und findealles in New Dawn nochmal etwas besser gemacht. Medi-Kits und Würfgeschosse einfach im Waffenrad beim Laufen herstellen, man hat gefühlt unendlich Materialien, ein sehr gutes Waffenstufen-System, ausballancierter Schwierigkeitsgrad, sehr gut mit den Außenposten umgesetzt und die Expeditonen sind    Für mich ein vollwertiges Far Cry!

    Ich habe Far Cry 5 schon in den Himmel gelobt und findealles in New Dawn nochmal etwas besser gemacht. Medi-Kits und Würfgeschosse einfach im Waffenrad beim Laufen herstellen, man hat gefühlt unendlich Materialien, ein sehr gutes Waffenstufen-System, ausballancierter Schwierigkeitsgrad, sehr gut mit den Außenposten umgesetzt und die Expeditonen sind ebenfalls eine Klasse Idee gewesen, da kommt man nochmal an Orte die man über die normale Open World nicht erreichen kann.

    Man kann auch wieder entscheiden wie man spielt, ich mag Stealth eigentlich überhaupt nicht aber in Far Cry habe ich da immer mal wieder tatsächlich Bock drauf. Das Menü wurde nochmal verbessert, man levelt die Basis, man levelt seine Begleiter hoch, nach 15 und 40 Abschüssen, ok sie leveln sich selber hoch aber man sollte sie am Anfang erstmal alle bis sie 15 Kills haben mitnehmen, weil es ja auch schwieriger wird und das erste Upgrade denen schon sehr hilft bzw sie gut stärkt. Die Skillpunkte sind überhaupt nicht knapp, es gibt 10 X 3 für die Schatzsuchen wie man sie auch den Prepper Verstecken von Far Cry 5 kennt und genügend durch Herausforderungen, man muss sie sich gar nicht durchlesen, macht man fast alles automatisch, a und zu ggf. mal die Waffenklasse wechseln, das reicht, ansonsten gibt's auch noch durch Expeditionsabschlüsse Skillpunkte, die sind nach Stufe 3 unendlich wiederholbar und machen echt Spaß.

    Ich weiß nicht was viele an der Story auszusetzen haben, das Spiel ist zwar etwas kürzer, wenn man alle Expeditionen und Außenposten auf allen Stufen macht, wobei die zwei Aktivitäten jetzt immer sehr schnell vorrüber sind, kommt man auf eine Spielzeit von 20 - 25 Stunden. Die Story ist GUT, die Zwillinge sind richtige Bada**e und haben eine gute Vertonung, ich empfehle auf jeden Fall vor diesem Spiel Far Cry 5 zu spielen, ich habe mich immer sehr gefreut, wenn ich etwas wiedererkannt habe und es ist sehr spannend wie sich die Charaktere verändert haben, ein super Spiel! Ich habe nichts zu bemägeln, das einzige was man machen könnte, wäre den Speicherpunkt nach Abschluss der Story nach dem Kampf der Zwillinge zu setzen, damit man die Chance hat jede Entscheidung einmal auszuwählen. Aber ansonsten 10/10.    … Expand

    Worst Far Cry.
    It has a real bad shooting system.
    I don't like its atmosphere it's a little weird but It has some beautiful sceneries.

    Open world in New Dawn exists for one single purpose: to let player engage next group of enemies on his own terms. Hopefully, in next game Ubisoft will finally get rid of RPG elements (mainly, bizarre multi-tiered guns) and go back to the formula of first Far Cry. [Issue#236, p.54]

    Only full-time members of Joseph Seed's cult hooked on bliss will enjoy playing Far Cry: New Dawn from start to finish. The others will eventually get tired of psychedelic palette and recycled content.

    Far Cry New Dawn is a ridiculously well-polished and fun to play action game (AI issues aside), with an enjoyable if largely mundane story and villains. It's so hard to negatively criticise too much. It would be unfair to judge this individual game against the wider approach of Ubisoft that some could argue needs to evolve more going into the future. The freedom that this sandbox gives to just shoot things and have fun is clear to see, and on PC the world looks incredible, filled with vivid colours, rich explosions, lush grassland and shimmering blue rivers. The real question following this conclusion to the Hope County arc and all its DLC is where Ubisoft will go next with this franchise. Ultimately it is impossible to separate New Dawn from feeling like an expensive DLC for its predecessor.
