    excellent, very immersive, big world and full of goals to explore, even if sometimes it is a bit empty and desertic too, but it is pleasant and fun to venture. this description is being written in 2018 so the graphics of the game for me are not the best, but I think that when it was released it should be good for the time. I love the fallout franchise and ill hope to play future releases.

    The second part was legendary. The third part was great. But you have to admit, New Vegas is awesome. A lot of cool innovations, an interesting story, more guns and memorable characters. Good atmosphere. More cool mods. More cool experiences. Definitely recommend it.

    If I included mods in this review, this game would be a perfect 10 but as it stands now without mods i'd say 9 is pretty fair. best entry in the franchise, no contest.

    I discovered this game in January 2019 when i streamed ps now trial for a week (played a little bit of fallout 3 too). I ended up purchasing it on PC ultimate version on sale for 10$ (spent an entire weekend learning how to mod it to function) but it is well worth it In that less than a week trial the game left a greater impression in less than a week than FO4 did in 50 hours (41 in gameI discovered this game in January 2019 when i streamed ps now trial for a week (played a little bit of fallout 3 too).     My first fallout game was FO4...While its streamlining did appeal to me as fresh player. The story line went nowhere fast. I forgot about my kid. (later I find out the music from fallout 3 was repackaged into 4 to my chagrin as I LOVED the music from F:NV

    New vegas is an epic masterpiece of player agency, skill points, builds, STORYLINE that matters, related characters....and most of all OBSIDIAN.

    I took a hiatus from gaming in 2006 (last sytem was a ps2 and nvidia 6600gt graphic card comp) up to 2016 after college when i got a ps4 and a laptop that can handle games older than diablo 3 (nvidia gtx 850m intel I7 4710 2.5ghz? or 3.7?))

    My favorite game back then was KOTOR and KOTOR 2 so the RPG elements in F:NV was a refreshing change from FO4...

    Just play it...The hype is not for no reason and neither is it nostalgia this is the best of the 3d fallouts...    … Expand

    One of the best dialogues and story. Feels like an adult games, not a story for kids where everything is explained and told. A lot of context to every quest and character.
    However, graphics are bad and shooting is terrible.
    Also this game was the best DLCs with amazing story connect with the Fallout lore. (personally, I find DLCs more interesting than the main game)

    Fallout New Vegas was created by Obsidian, many of the people working at Obsidian also worked on Fallout 1 & 2, and it shows.
    The game is a step forward in the franchise and builds on Fallout 3. Everything Fallout 3 did wrong, New Vegas did right. Every thing Fallout 3 did that was amazing, New Vegas did better. The choices you make matter, they impact you and the world around you. The    Fallout New Vegas was created by Obsidian, many of the people working at Obsidian also worked on Fallout 1 & 2, and it shows.
    The game is a step forward in the franchise and builds on Fallout 3. Everything Fallout 3 did wrong, New Vegas did right. Every thing Fallout 3 did that was amazing, New Vegas did better. The choices you make matter, they impact you and the world around you. The game is very in-depth, and makes you question yourself a lot. With many different endings, the game is extremely replay able, and is by far, one of the best, if not the best Fallout game in the franchise.

    This would have gotten a perfect score, but I have to be realistic. The game when it launched was ridden with bugs. With only 1 and a half years of development, there simply wasn't enough time to get rid of the bugs. The graphics for it's time feels very dated and did not improve on Fallout 3. It's an absolutely excellent game, but I can not give it a 10.    … Expand

    However there was a large number of bugs when FNV came out ranging from player characters arms blocking the screen when sneaking, broken quests and crashes, although story & gameplay is just strong enough to get us to forgive the buggy launch state and once the patches rolled out we were left with truly one of the best games of 2010. if you factor in 2-3 good/great pieces of DLC (less said about Lonesome road the better) and you have a great GOTY edition of a game to play.    … Expand

    Sin lugar a dudas es el mejor Fallout de toda la saga, si vienes de Fallout 4 o 76 hay que decir que te vas a encontrar con algo muy distinto en este juego, no se trata de un juego de farmeo y de loot o crear tu propia base.

    Fallout New vegas es un juego que esta diseñado y pensado para rolear y si te gusta aunque sea un poco ese estilo de juego te lo recomiendo 100% porque te puede llegar a enganchar y estar durante horas explorando el Yermo y mirando en cada esquina.

    No encontraras muchos tiros o situaciones forzadas para pegarse con nukes a diestro siniestro, ano ser que eso sea lo que tu quieres claro, y a eso voy. En este juego puedes hacer literalmente lo que PUTO QUIERAS, tendrás una ""historia base"" (con la cual dar contexto y saber porque estas en el Mojave) y a partir de ahí tu decidirás que ocurrirá y que haces en New Vegas, no como que facción quieres que gobierne el lugar como ocurre en fallout 4, no, aquí todo lo que hagas tiene repercusión.

    Puedes extinguir todas aquellas facciones que no te gustan (o no quieres que participen en la historia) no porque te lo diga alguien o tengas una misión para hacerlo, sino porque tu quieres y si no quieres que estén en el mapa, vas a por ellos y acabas con todos ellos.

    Y no te preocupes por si la misión principal ""se puede estropear"" porque como ya he dicho el mundo y las misiones se ajustan a tus decisiones con miles de opciones, y aquí no hay ningún tipo de personaje ""necesario"" como había en Skyrim y Fallout 4, los cuales no pueden morir porque sin ellos la trama no podría avanzar.

    Si decides diezmar una población mata a todos los lacayos que hay desde la frontera hasta su rey y mata a su "rey" (puede ser presidente, líder, rey líder espiritual o x), simple y llanamente desaparecerán del mapa. Y como no, en la radio y el mundo se hablara de lo ocurrido y afectara a otras facciones y sobretodo ati y tu papel en el mundo.

    La verdad es que es la mejor experiencia fallout que he tenido, y he jugado en este momento a el 3, 4 y 76.    … Expand

    Yes, the graphics was even then aging, but that was perfectly fine. You were in the post apocalyptic Mojave desert- living in a world that took itself seriously enough to make fun of itself without making of itself a cliché. Expanding on the fallout world!

    With this type of storytelling you may as well set the Brotherhood of Steel, Supermutant and whatnot aside. They will create new and just as exciting content for us- and it will make sense in the fallout universe. Imagine the world of the Legion, or their take on the Institute!

    The only thing holding them back: the Elderscrolls formula.

    With this game- I saw the promise of Fallout 3 come to fruition:

    It was made in a year and a half! The work that Obsidian put to the game is amazing! Of course, it uses the same engine as Fallout 3, but the atmosphere is very different. Probably the thing that changes the most is the player's options, roleplay and rpg elements, there's hours and hours of quests, dialogue and fun stuff. I would really recommend the game to someone that has already playedIt was made in a year and a half! The work that Obsidian put to the game is amazing! Of course, it uses the same engine as Fallout 3, but the atmosphere is very different. Probably the thing that changes the most is the player's options, roleplay and rpg elements, there's hours and hours of quests, dialogue and fun stuff. I would really recommend the game to someone that has already played the original games, New vegas is super inspired by them. It's definitely a game that you should check out. Of course, the game has issues and bugs, but to be honest, they don't really destroy the immersion or anything, it's only a problem when it comes to bugs or glitches in the main quests. The game crashing is also an issue but if you don't use much mods you will probably experience little of them. Gameplay is not bad, in the start of the game it is a problem because the weapon shakes a lot (You need to upgrade your weapons skill to shoot straight) Though, the combat is still very cool. The animations are everything you should expect from an rpg, nothing really impressive but again, they don't ruin immersion, not for me at least. But what does DESTROYS the immersion in the game are the invisible walls. They were a minor problem in Fallout 3 but here you will encounter them EVERYWHERE is ridiculous how you can't jump a 2-feet rock because of an invisible wall, specially because sometimes you need to climb stuff for gameplay mechanics, what if you want to climb to that mountain to snipe enemies? NO you can't because there's an invisible wall blocking the way. If you are trying to put one of these invisible walls in a giant mountain just so the player doesn't glitches, that's ok, but sometimes is just plain ridiculous. Now talking about the DLCS : They are not really that surprising, while they do tell backstory of characters and places, and interesting stuff, they are not really that great, they are usually repetitive, dull and sometimes even frustrating. Some enemies from the dlcs are just bullet sponges, or maybe the game adds a new mechanic that seems nice, but very often glitches or doesn't work. Probably the worst thing that some of the dlcs do is remove all of the players's weapons, which is annoying because sometimes it doesn't make any sense to remove player's weapons (especially in dead money) I guess you can say that they add a little something to the game, probably the best things are the weapons you can get, but aside from that they are not really that great or memorable. BUT what i reviewed was pretty much the game itself. It's not bad, it's fun, i have completed it... I don't know, 4 times? It's super fun, even more when adding mods to the formula...     After Playing the game with all the dlc and bug fixes, this game has brought back Fallout's identity of a post apocalyptic America and those struggles of the player to make sense of it, and it does, by giving you the choices Bethesda's Fallout's were not able to deliver

    This is the best game out of the three ‘modern’ Fallouts. Obsidian has improved a lot of features which many Bethesda games often suck at, e.g. player choice, story, interesting NPCs and the added reputation system. Fallout: New Vegas is actually closer to Fallout 1 and 2 than to 3 and 4, and I love it. It's just a shame that its graphics and gunplay are so outdated, even for 2010 standards.

    The only one thing i didn't like in this game is poor FPS component. I know RPG component is pretty important, but damn what if i want to shoot up some raiders or like that. The game doesn't fully allow you to play some kind of non-pacifist character cause shooting is bad enough.

    What a game. This and Fallout 2 are my fav games from this series. I love the story and how everything you do actually impacts the story and at the end you can see all your accomplishments/faults. Also the freedom to do anything you want... want to be an **** that steals and kills everything? You can. Want to be the good guy, that resolves violence with conversations? Sure you can. I tried using console commands to teleport to her, turns out she vanished from the entire game world... thought she died, so I resurrected her using commands, still she was nowhere to be found... this kind of bug is gamebreaking, especially when you're playing a "patched" game in 2018 and have already 50 hours of gameplay behind you, I just couldn't start from the beginning, so I had to leave the whole idea of supporting NCR behind.     New Vegas is a territory rich in history and characters. The gameplay is a mix of FPS and RPG, although it sometimes falters, it doesn't disappoint and keeps the missions with a certain difficulty, always calling you to think strategically about your resources and where you stand.

    And above all, I loved the space it gives you to role-play and customize your character, creating more than one way to solve the problems that come your way.

    The thing that makes the game golden its is LORE and STORY the story is one of the best stories of Fallout! It shurely beats the stories that bethesda tries to tell in Fallout 3 , 4 and...    This game is just gold!

    The thing that makes the game golden its is LORE and STORY the story is one of the best stories of Fallout! It shurely beats the stories that bethesda tries to tell in Fallout 3 , 4 and... "76". You choose your path your story your character everything. You have so much freedom that it's unimaginable on todays standars to be honest. I never saw a game TODAY with this much freedom for you character and story! You can kill practicaly everyone in New Vegas and it's so awesome to either be a straight up murdered that goes and kills everything or choose to do the opposite or what ever you wish.
    Know let me start with the story il try not to spoil it il just say the basics.

    You start off the game by getting shot in the head by a character and you are revived by a doctor in Goodsprings. You want to do you revenge twords him so you go around the wasteland and you will find out that there are 3 main factions that is the NCR ( New California Republic) , Ceasars Leagon and Mr House. You choose with which faction you wish to go practicaly with democracy, fascism/nazism or indipented vegas. The game will show how brutal humanity realy is and you will find even little or medium quests on other little factions that make the game even deeper!
    After you choose your faction and do the story in the end you are in a battle of hover dam where you will decide what will happen to the other factions as well.

    The story, the freedom of the world and your character keeps the game alive ( as well mods) so I totaly suggest giving this game a 9.
    I cannot give this game a 10 because this game will love to crash sometimes and does have bugs that you have to fix which its annoying to do but when you atleast fix the majority you will enjoy this game allot!    … Expand

    Fallout: New Vegas is a flawed masterpiece. The graphics were dated even for 2010 (when the title released) and some technical issues still remain. However, everything else about this game is excellent - you should give it a try!

Is some of the best RPG games I ever played, the liberty to do whatever you want to the main Courier is something that shows why Obsidian is still talented in giving a more detailed RPG game that Bethesda will ever reach. The story, the characters, the missions, every aspect of writing in this game is something fantastic and has a very deep dialogue from time toThis game is fantastic. Is some of the best RPG games I ever played, the liberty to do whatever you want to the main Courier is something that shows why Obsidian is still talented in giving a more detailed RPG game that Bethesda will ever reach. The story, the characters, the missions, every aspect of writing in this game is something fantastic and has a very deep dialogue from time to time. All the factions here are in a grey position, so they're not 100% good or 100% evil, everyone has their good and their flaws, and that is what we want in a RPG game.

    However, this game has some flaws... and sadly are big ones, like the unexpected crashes from time to time, is something sad, because the game is awesome to play, but the crashing in it becomes annoying at times, making it impossible to play. And maybe the missions are so simple, but that's because of the lots of cut content that this game has because of the rushed development.

    But I digress, this game is awesome, and everyone with a taste of RPG need to play it at least once, is some of the best RPG shooters out there and you definetly check it out.

    My final rating for this game is a solid 9/10. Has a pretty solid gameplay, a variety of sidequest to make hours and hours of gameplay, and the replay capacity to do another decisions and routes, makes this game an awesome experience in the Mojave desert.    … Expand

    The best 3D Fallout for my opinion. Everything is good in this game, except Oblivion's engine (that causes many bugs and thing like bad shooting mechanics) and unfilled

My only main gripe about this game would be the bugs, bug city, the PC version runs the best of the 3, with the PS3 version being a miserable mess of an amazing game. Many of the bugs in this game have never been fixed, and can only be remedied through mods. Thankfully, this game has the best modding communityIn my opinion the best RPG ever made. Far superior too Fallout 3 and Fallout 4. My only main gripe about this game would be the bugs, bug city, the PC version runs the best of the 3, with the PS3 version being a miserable mess of an amazing game.     Interesting story, great soundtrack, the game feels very real. And the dialogs - oh my God! Compared to Fallout 3 and especially F4 feels like whole another level.

    The only thing that is not good - the engine, and therefore, the shooting mechanic. That's the only negative thing I can think of. If not that - game would be the greatest of them all.

    More than 10 years later game still holds up as one of the best first person action-rpg ever. After Obsidian being scammed for money because the game got 84 instead of 85 on metacritic, I doubt that anyone else would work with Bethesda, especially the creators of Vegas. And that's sad, considering Bethesda.

    Story is better, Gun play is better, graphics look slightly better.
    there are still a bunch of bugs but this is a Bethesda game so that will always be there

Минусы есть, но с точки зрения технической, все таки графика далека от хорошей и + ко всему кривоватые анимации. Но игра все равно произведение искусстваПрошел дважды со всеми длс, шикарная, атмосферная игра. Огромная вариативность в диалогах, квестах и сюжете делает эту игру одной из моих самых любимейших.     Only minus I can find is that rusty Bethesda engine.

    With many improvements over the prior game, particularly in the game mechanics, Fallout New Vegas should deserve a higher score than its predecessor, however the plot and locale did not gel with me until my second or third playthrough and it just doesn't have that special place in my heart that Fallout 3 has. Still, an incredible game and one of my all time favourites.

    This was one of my first PC games I ever completed so I have kind of relationship with this game. I really loved the story and how you have choices in this game and getting cool armors and getting better at combat feels satisfying. And by the way if you want to 100 % this game be prepared to play for at least 200 hours, yup. This game is looong! Have fun!

    I have over 2000 hours in this game, and I have to say that it is my favorite game of all time. The base game is a high 8. Add the DLC it's an easy 9. Start moding it and its definitely a 10.

    The RPG elements was very strong you can decide whatever story will go.
    I give 9 because the bug and glitch but if you want bug fixed try to download mod to fix it.

    El mejor fallout de la saga, debido a sus misiones, ambientación, personajes, etc. Como punto malo es su gunplay pero hay una mejora respecto al 3 en este campo, quien jugase el 3 entenderá, y eso qeu en principio el new vegas iba a ser una expansión. Tiene bugs made in Bethesda. Recomendado.

    how this game was made take fallout 3 and make it better. hands down best game in the series only problem is the bugs and the crashing but after installing a few mods its fine its just annoying to install mods in order to make a game work properly but its still amazing

Can't say the atmosphere of this takes me by soul but thoughtfulness, lore, uniqueness and fascination of this world really gets me positive emotions and heats up the desire to learn all these things. The games dialogue is what really makes it shine the game features over 65,000 unique lines of dialogue a world record to this day and the freedom the game gives you makes your character essentially feel like it is a different version of yourself you can choose from any of the factions to side with and the addition of a fame stat for all of the different factions which has massive impact on if you can complete quests for the faction or if the faction will shoot you on sight. The gameplay leaves a little to be desired the games combat would be lost without the V.A.T.S option this allows you to go slow motion and target a certain part of the body while in V.A.T.S nobody can hit you and you get a percentage chance of hitting a certain part of the body. The game works through a XP and the aforementioned system of fame this allows the game to have an extra feeling of completion and that what you are doing matters. Another part of the game I feel adds another level of enjoyment is the weapon selection if you want to kill someone with a Nuka Cola sign you can the game had lots of amazing unique weapons that all have some sort of reference to pop culture or history. The games extensive Levelling system allows the player to make their character an expert in whatever they want but does not allow them to be an expert in everything a character could be good at talking with 100 Speech and 100 Barter but be terrible at Sneaking you have to pick and choose what you want and with the trait and perk option the game allows you to gain additional bonus’s like the wild wasteland trait which makes strange things happen adding a lot of Easter eggs into the game and the Sneering Imperialist perk which gives you added damage against tribe members. The last thing I am going to highlight is the biggest problem with the game which in no way is the Developers fault as they were forced to release the game early by Bethesda the amount of the glitches this game has impacts the game very negatively there are many quest glitches which make the game impossible to finish personally I have ran into 2 game ending glitches which has set me back multiple hours but despite these I keep on playing the game no matter what it’s just that good.… Expand

    One of the top modern RPGs.

    Im gonna start with bugs, i somehow haven't encountered them but there are crashes. Luckily Nexus Community made a mod that tries to fix crashes and i think it worked since i stopped encountering them. The game is good and i love it. I spent 159 hours and on it. and i still play it!

    I am a massive Fallout fan, previously enjoying the orginal fallout titles as well as FO3.

    New Vegas is one of my favorite RPGs that I have played so far. It has an awesome amount of lore, weapons, and different options and choices to go down and explore. If you are a fan of RPGs and post-apocalyptic games i strongly suggest you pick this game up. It really sucks you in and takes a hold of you

The writing and the story is spectacular in this game. What can I stay, the story pulled me in. Hmm, next we shall talk about the characters and the quest, ah yes, nearly perfect. It's really cool that FNV is set in a desert setting because it really shows that the world got hit by a nuclear catastrophe. Also, did I mention that this game has multiple endings? You start from surviving a bullet to the head, to making an independent New Vegas while kicking the NCR and Caesar's Legion out of Hoover Dam and the city itself - that's bad-ass. However, it won't get a 10 from me because of the bugs and glitches... ouch...… Expand

EVERY SINGLE quest hits it out of the park with divergent paths and interesting premises. The character creation is the best ever made. However it suffers from a BAD case of bethesda jank that no amount of mods and patches can fix, often times ripping you out of the experience.     Repeatability of the game is pretty good. There are a few choices: you can play on hardmode where you will need to keep track on more stats, enemies do more damage to you etc. etc. You can also play different playstyles like sniper, hitman, trader, cowboy, politician etc.

    The fps mechanics of the game are quite good they’re not as good as in “Fallout 4”, but the roleplay of “Fallout New Vegas” definitely complements the shooting mechanics, the skill and perk system has a lot of choices and you can create any kind of character that you would want.

    In conclusion the game is amazing, I would definitely recommend to at least try the game for yourself. I have completed the game a few times and I still have ideas how I could complete the game in other ways.    … Expand

    Fallout new vegas is just a great game overall. The story is amazing, the combat feels for the most part good, most characters have, well, character and overall it is so far my favorite fallout game. The only reason I'm not giving it a 10 is because of how many bugs this game has but all my problems with this game are on a technical level.

    This was my first entry with the fallout series and it was amazing , it is one of my all time favourites games first thing you wanna know about this game that it is not a first person shooter , you resolve things with words and occasionaly with bullets , and if your not prepared to read hundreds of dialouges , its not a game for you. that isnt saying that there are no guns or encountersThis was my first entry with the fallout series and it was amazing , it is one of my all time favourites games first thing you wanna know about this game that it is not a first person shooter , you resolve things with words and occasionaly with bullets , and if your not prepared to read hundreds of dialouges , its not a game for you. that isnt saying that there are no guns or encounters in this game , but if you want a game like farcry from this , its not that. now with that out of a way , this game has one of the best writing of any game out there , the amount of choice is astounding , and its without a doubt the best part of the game. for example the first quest in the game is preparing a small village for an ambush of thugs , you have the choice of helping the village , by convincing its members to join you or you can join the thugs and get considerable loot from the village , or you can just dont care at all and wonder off to the wastland . the game is filled with that kind of quest , but much more complex the further you are in the game , i havent encounter a single one boring quest that is in other games with structure of "there is an item somewhere. bring it to me" or something like that. this is really refreshing after new AAA games with boring quest with no choice , and a story you dont care about. one vault in this game (vault 11 if anyone cares) has a more compeling and intresting story , told just with notes and terminals , than the entirety of far cry 5 , and its tucked away in a middle of some desert somewhere where you can completly miss it. The world is also absolutly amazing , everywhere you go you will find something interisting , novac has a giant dinasour , primm has a rollercouster new vagas shines like a beacon in the wasteland , i could go any direction and there was eaither an intersitng quest or just a nice view.
    now on to the bad stuff that made it a 9 instead of 10

    -there are lots of bugs in this game ,not as much as in fallout 76 or cyberpunk but there are still noticable sometimes a dialouge option didnt appear , so i couldnt complete a quest, sometimes my companion would get stuck in a rock and i had to fast travel to get him out , when i alt tab from the game sometimes i would be in the menu and the whole game would stop , but i could still move around . But worst of all , around 50% of the time when i tried to start up the game , it would completely freeze at the loading screen and the only option would be to restart the PC , one time i couldnt start the game for 20 min or so .
    -the graphics are dated and everything in the world is either rock or sand , but i didnt mind it , i still play half life 1 from time ti time and that game didnt age well.
    -the shooting is a little stiff and not that good , but the amount of guns customisation and ammo makes up for it

    and thats about it , this game has lots of great stuff that i didnt metion but i dont want this review to be 5000 characters long , so ill just quickly go over some stuff

    - the character creation is amaizing,
    -the 3 factions all have intresting believes in the world , so it isnt a "you wanna be a good guy , or a bad guy?" choice .
    -the game is fairly difficult ( i think its a plus , super easy games bore me real fast).
    -game has hardcore mode if youre into that .

    in conclusion , this game is f*cking awesome , and you should play it , its 10 dollars on steam , cmon    … Expand

    One of the best games I've ever played. This is the pinnacle of RPGs. Gives you an unprecedented level of choice. You can complete the game without killing anyone and you can complete the game after killing everyone. Great lore. Cons are outdated graphics graphics but still a lot of fun.

    Out of all the Fallout games, New Vegas was always the one that stood out the most to me. I'm not sure if its the world building or the well written characters or maybe even the cool music on my pipboy, but it seems like NV has it all.

    What's also amazing about it is the replayability and player choice when it comes to actions. Heck, in one of my playthroughs, I decided to skip the tutorial town and just run straight into the casino (a location meant for mid level players), and while the journey was tough, the game never held me back, but instead encouraged and rewarded me for being smart.

    I love Fallout NV. It's my personal favorite Fallout game. It's really surprising how it took around 18 months to make yet has a better story line and has better game play then the game before it (Fallout 3). Sure It has many glitches here and there (And I may have used some for an advantage), but is pretty good otherwise.

    I would love to put 10 but with the plethora of bugs it's near unplayable without using a mod manager to inject essential files (anti crash, fps fix, 4gb ram patch). On the x360 I couldn't finish 2 full game play-throughs from bugs or glitches. After 150 hrs I put it down until modding the pc version this year.. and what a difference.     The game can't be given a 10 simply because it's far too buggy, but it is still the best game the fallout series has to offer since it was released over a decade ago

    Finally, fallout game that's makes u think, plus really great writing and role-play! I hope one day 9.5/10 I had some issue with bugs but can be quickly with help of mods (this is my first review and yes I suck at writing)

The setting is really engrossing, and makes you feel like a true postapocalyptic cowboy tearing through the Mojave. The music is surprisingly good and is quite memorable, especially the radio songs.     I've played a few RPGs in my life, being Fallout 3 one of my favourites, and Fallout New Vegas proved to be at the top with the all time greats. I now know that if I ever want to play a game for its RPG elements, exploration and setting, I'll always have somewhere to turn to. I tried to ingest as much of the Wasteland as I could, without stagnating my mental sanity, and found a world fullI've played a few RPGs in my life, being Fallout 3 one of my favourites, and Fallout New Vegas proved to be at the top with the all time greats. I now know that if I ever want to play a game for its RPG elements, exploration and setting, I'll always have somewhere to turn to. I tried to ingest as much of the Wasteland as I could, without stagnating my mental sanity, and found a world full of life (not much life actually). It's an immersive and believable world that didn't leave me alone until I got tired of it (never did), possibly even hindering my studies.

    I will set out some ratings from 0 to 10 to facilitate the final verdict:

    Presentation: 8/10
    Writing: 9/10
    Gameplay: 6/10
    Sound/Music: 7/10
    Graphics: 8/10 (for a 2010 game)
    Content: 10/10
    Optimization: -/10 (for a 2010 game, can't really tell)

    The way this game is built makes for an unprecedented replayability. The possible endings and storylines with the various factions in the game makes the overall content sky high, deserving of a rating 10 on Content. Also positive note to the possible companions, everyone had a lot of dialogue and even missions of their own, something you don't see a lot of.

    This game deserves a lot of praise, especially considering its short production time. This being an RPG, I decided to prioritise the writing and not the gameplay, so it's a 9/10 in my opinion.    … Expand

    Easily the best RPG game ever made. And it would be a 0 if you couldn't use mods to fix how broke it came out.. Once fixed it, you have the best RPG ever made to enjoy and say goodbye to your social life.

    This game is as close to perfect as any game I can think of. The dialogue is great and is very clear in what you are trying to say. The multiple endings are a great feature and make the story feel more unique for you.     I was not a big fan of fallout 4 when I first played it, but when I played Fallout: New Vegas, it made me, who is not even a big fan of the genre, love it. it's a must-play. If you don't like the fallout series, you should still check it out.

    The standard bearer for open world role-playing action games. Fallout New Vegas is a truly atmosphere, immersive and thought provoking experience that is only held back by it's fair share of technical issues and glitches.

    In my opinion this is the best fallout game there is even to this day. It was a revolutionary game when it came out and still holds up today. Just boot up Nexus mods and download some bug fixes and improvements. And also download a HD resource pack and the game is able to keep up with modern releases.

    Fallout: New Vegas looks like an Add On to Fallout 3, but that should not mean, that it's a copy of its forerunner. It scores with an great atmosphere, nice story and all the typical and awesome Fallout features.
