In a loud **** you" to the fans that loved vast single player rpgs, bethesda has managed to make a game for the new generation of gamers, ones that prefer loud explosions, shooting, and most of all multiplayer, soBethesda **** sold out for money.     A broken misshapen abortion masquerading around as an actual complete video game is what you'll get by making the poor decision of buying this game. Though Bethesda is notorious for buggy installments within both their Elder Scrolls and Fallout Series this game takes the cake for not only being buggy to the point of inoperable but also a hollow uninspired take on what a multiplayer FalloutA broken misshapen abortion masquerading around as an actual complete video game is what you'll get by making the poor decision of buying this game. Though Bethesda is notorious for buggy installments within both their Elder Scrolls and Fallout Series this game takes the cake for not only being buggy to the point of inoperable but also a hollow uninspired take on what a multiplayer Fallout game should be like with no evidence of any attempt at innovation.     I've been playing Bethesda games since Morrowind and i think Fallout 76 is game development at its laziest and a big FY to the fans. Fallout 76 is a glorified Fallout 4 mod with a AAA-pricetag.

    It is a multiplayer game set on the Fallout universe. Unlike previous Fallout games, two of which have been developed by Interplay and Black Isle (Fallout and Fallout 2, respectively), two of which have been developed by Bethesda (Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, in addition to Fallout 76), and one which has been developed by Obsidian (Fallout: New Vegas), Fallout 76 doesn't even try to hide what it is: a multiplayer, online survival shooter with the bare minimum of elements necessary to call it an "RPG".

    But what does this mean, in practice?

    There are no human NPCs in Fallout 76. The only humans you will find are other players. You get quests through holotapes, robot NPCs, among others. This game relies solely on Bethesda's famed "environmental" storytelling, which is as environmental as having a voice telling you what you are seeing. That is because Bethesda's "environmental" storytelling consists of nothing but notes and journals and holotapes and terminals, a far cry from the truly environmental storytelling of Fallout 1, where you can find an abandoned facility that lets you piece together what happened there just by looking around the environment, finding dead bodies, unopened doors, unactivated machinery, etc.

    Fallout 76 is not a good RPG. As such, it fails as a Fallout game. But what about the game part? The simplicity of the quests in this game mean that, unless you are really, REALLY looking forward to spending hundreds of hours doing nothing but fetch quests, base building and PvP that has been nerfed because "griefing is bad in a post-apocalyptic videogame", then the odds are you will hate this game.

    I give this a 5 because it is simply a mediocre game by any metric of the imagination, but in reality a 1 would be more fitting, as it is an absolute disgrace as a Fallout game, and a bad joke as a multiplayer game.    … Expand

    This "game" is a collection of all the bugs of Bethesda, bugs present in Fallout 4, which were in Fallout 3, which were in Fallout New Vegas, which were in Skyrim, which were in Oblivion and so on...!!!     Honestly, I think Fallout 76 was a test on just how forgivable Bethesda customers are. Stay away.

    Laggy glitchy unfinished no content mess. This is not worth 60 dollars.....it is barely worth 20! If this "game" was on nexus mods it wouldn't even be one of the best ones.

The graphics are low for 2018 with RTX2080ti, a terrible PVP, the game engine is outdated for 8 years, no physics, no lighting, no textures, no fog and particles. No mods.     it looks terrible, graphics is so bad - you can't look at it without tears on your eyes
    to make it more terrible i think bethesda need's to include pay to play system for this "game" because todd wants MONEY MONEY MORE MONEY by doing bad games

Don't believe the payed lies about this game being little good by any chance, the game is a mess and it was filled with TONS and TONS OF LIES by Todd Howard, the fkn game was even sold by free in many countries due the horrible sales. So don't believe the lies and if you want to play a Fallout game go play Fallout 4 or 3.

    The game, at its very core, is a boring slog of inane missions which are there as an extremely dull distraction from an empty and lackluster world. If the premise of the "game" you are attempting to sell relies primarily playing with friends, then the game needs to provide an interesting environment in which these experiences can happen in. This game utterly fails at that.

I already had a low opinion of Fallout 76 before I played it, and giving the trial a go simply re-affirmed my beliefs. Fallout 76 is so poorly-optimized that the first abandoned town down the road from the vault makes my RTX 2080 drop into the thirties atA dull, boring game riddled with bugs, glitches, and poor design that runs extremely poorly even on enthusiast-tier computer hardware. I already had a low opinion of Fallout 76 before I played it, and giving the trial a go simply re-affirmed my beliefs.     The game is a waste of time. Full of bugs and robots without a story or enjoyable characters. Even if you can form a team it is still messy to play. Graphics are old and lighting is weird. I think this was an experiment of Bethesda on if they could sell the worst game with right marketing tactics. Another Dawn of War 3 case at best.

    I know lets remove everything fun about fallout, and make it an eating sleeping drinking micro managing slog-fest. So disappointing. Should be a refund for obvious cash grab games like this!

    Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

    Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]
