How should I begin? This game is wonderful and it's definitely not for everybody. Some unkind voices may call it 'boring walking simulator', but I would rather look at it as some kind of a bookish experience. It has great, emotional narrative that unveils story piece by piece. It has stunning, beautiful graphics.
(dynamic shadows of clouds!) The music is just marvelous, orchestral scores

(dynamic shadows of clouds!) The music is just marvelous, orchestral scores fit the overall vibe perfectly. I could listen to them even without the game. As I said, it will not satisfy everybody, because gameplay is minimal. The game is hardly interactive and focuses purely on an experience of the world and story as it is. It's like reading a book. And watching a book. And listening to a book. :) The same concept was used with their previous creation 'Dear Esther' (great short story btw). It may sound paradoxically but this game is not really for playing but for exploring the world and story . Hey, at least you can drink tea or eat crackers peacefully while enjoying a journey ;)

Love this game, it's a shame that it suffers from poor optimisation but I hope there will be some patch for the issues. The game is absolutely stunning otherwise.

Groundbreaking graphics (nearly photo realistic), detailed world, throughtful story, atmospheric. It's a masterpiece of a game and a one of a kind experience.

It is said that when God proclaimed "Let there be video games", Jessica Curry descended from the heavens and said "Ayo y'all ever heard about M U S I C ?". This game aint for everyone, and thats fine. But it certainly is for me.

Very nice story! After some time it is still memorable. If you like walking simulators this one is one of the best in genre (lesser than What Remains of Edith Finch).

Only issue I had was the walking speed. Other than that, game was incredible!!!

This game is an experience one cannot expect from a video game. Masterpiece. Philosophy of life dressed up in a costume of messianic parousia. Words can not express, what has been done here. "Simulation of walking"? Yea. But your empathy and brain cells must run harder than both your CPU and GPU. World design is wonderful, graphics are great and music by Jessica Curry leaves man speechless.

I don't understand most of the critics: yes, its a "walking sim", but it has a brilliant story, with interesting characters, incredible emotional scenes... near perfect in that aspect, it could have been a novel... and a really, really good one! So, if you are looking for a great plot, buy it. But, if you are looking for puzzles, shooting or action in general (nothing wrong with that!),I don't understand most of the critics: yes, its a "walking sim", but it has a brilliant story, with interesting characters, incredible emotional scenes... near perfect in that aspect, it could have been a novel... and a really, really good one! For me Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture was a beautiful, almost mystical experience thanks to its atmosphere and one of the best soundtracks in gaming history. It’s a shame that on PC framerate tends to drop below acceptable levels, I was annoyed by some bugs and the ending failed to properly wrap up the story. [08/2016, p.72]

A true visual novel that draws you in and leaves you wanting more. Fantastic voice acting and musical score really just provide icing on the cake here. Very worthwhile!

The stunning graphics and the exceptional music, as well as voice overs, are not enough for a game that lacks appropriate optimization and a satisfactory interpretation of the events we tail after, packed in no longer than 5 hours. A very promising narrative experience that proves inadequate in many key areas.
