There are no tutorials, no practice range, no replays, no female players despite presence of she/her pronouns, the mouse cursor will randomly appear on the screen taking focus from the controller, keys cannot be reconfigured and neither can the controller beyond choosing left/right stick for shots with PS prompts being shown when using Xbox controller. Terrible 4K performance, sluggish UI and poor design decisions like having to exit career mode to upgrade or change anything. It plays better at 1440p but be prepared for micro stutters that ruin your swing.. It’s just another cack handed port .Not worth £60 in this state, I suggest you stick with the imperfect 2K games. Career mode is always online? What trash is this? The overall game is ok, but made with fairly common features. Nothing new here. Looks good though.

While it’s hard to ignore some of the gameplay issues (some of which EA has promised to address as of this writing), the overall experience of EA Sports PGA Tour is very impressive as far as golf games go. The graphics and audio are top notch, as is the golfer creation and the wide range of options available. This game is a sim and not a super easy game, but the developers clearly wanted a wide range of players to be able to enjoy it with the assistance features, and it does a pretty good job of that. Combine this with the huge amount of content and the many ways you can use it, and you have an experience that, despite some stumbles, is near the top of its class. If you’re looking for an immersive golf experience, look no further.

A technically solid game that has some pretty glaring issues with presentation, I still found myself going back to play round after round. It's challenging and rewarding, even if it's not the best entry in the long history of golf titles.

There's a good golf game hiding in EA Sports PGA Tour. The litany of courses is enough to entice fans of the sport, while the roster of pro golfers is amplified by a presentation that looks gorgeous even if the TV-style broadcast feels excessive. However, the imprecise controls make one hope that the upcoming three-click system will make the gameplay more palatable, since everything else related to the actual sport does a great job of trying to help you understand how to perfect shots. Although PGA Tour 2K23 is the better golf game this time around, there is a good base to work with here. Hopefully EA's future iteration can fix the issues to make this a contender for best pro golf simulation on the PC.
