    Great game. This game improves on a lot of things from the first one but also takes a step back in some other areas. Especially the physics and ragdolls. Some of the best parts about the combat in the first game are that there is a lot of physics involved and where you hit actually matters. And sadly, just like the first game, the story isn't really that good. Outside of those things, IGreat game.     Great parkour and battle system, but poor graphics and very different story telling from very bed to good. Slow upgrade system and a lot of copy paste side quests.

    But the is something that works and that is an atmosphere! Soundtrack! Level design and environments look great even with this not next-gen picture.

    My score is:

    Super fun survival horror game that has a deep story and an amazing open world environment. I think the parkour aspect is much better than in the original game and I really enjoyed the collecting aspects of the game. I think the ending battle was really a bit of a let down, especially compared to the rooftop ending in the first game. That being said, this is still a fantastic experience!

    The game is very fun, Easter Egg is quite a lot, free running is somewhat smoother than the first picture gives us a lot of freedom, plus the soundtrack also fits the rhythm of us running or fighting, this one is very good, 10 out of 100, who is it? Dying light fans, you won't be disappointed.

    - very good game, and lot of similarities of Far Cry series
    - good redesign of night
    - lot of places to parkour, a specially great second map, many details, plants, moving elements - lot of new good ideas - lot of things are better still in DL1. Fighting/killing animations, colors, skill tree and more 80's music (could be a choice?) and maybe parkour animations. - main story is very    - very good game, and lot of similarities of Far Cry series
    - good redesign of night
    - lot of places to parkour, a specially great second map, many details, plants, moving elements
    - lot of new good ideas
    - lot of things are better still in DL1. Fighting/killing animations, colors, skill tree and more 80's music (could be a choice?) and maybe parkour animations.
    - main story is very good. Side quest are usually acceptable but parkour time challenges are really bad (not all). There should be only boards or some more bets quest, other competitors, training sessions,... "Delivery of sugar" quests are bad. Electricity for goat - also very bad.
    - optimization - not bad if u find some DLSS like options. By default are disabled. Its the first game i've played RTX with more pleasure than without. I have most of time 50-70fps with 2K, raytracing standard + DLSS performance, RTX 2070S + i7 7700
    - bugs - there is a lot minor for example wrong candle fire attachment and more serious: game needs to restart after few situations. Most probable situation: loading/unloading surroundings of Fish Eye after night chase. With that framerate could have constant 20fps and game is unplayable. Sometimes it's just few seconds and good framerate is back. Game has no load screens and it saves lot of my time but it would be more annoying to restart when its multiplayer mode. Maybe that performance leaks are reason to not give us better rag dolls and other goodies.
    - final boss - round 1 - ground electro wave skill is little too annoying - unclear when its finished, and so unreal and that round has so many dumb situations.    … Expand

    I understand the low average score, the game is too different from the original that people really loved.
    The game is much more "mainstream" now, much more generic single player game with quests, pointers on the map, ability upgrades, etc., which I happen to like, so for me it's a fine game, I you regard it a new game all together, it's actually quite good, I'd say 8/10.     Dying Light 1 was one of my favorite titles and was different in its own, I wouldn't expect DL2 to be a copy/paste.

    Dying Light 2 is sometimes repetitive, but I feel the gameplay and overall feel of the environment really pushes it past common issues (devs will probably fix soon anyways). DL1 might be more rememberable, but DL2 is a great sequel overall and the improved features are    Dying Light 1 was one of my favorite titles and was different in its own, I wouldn't expect DL2 to be a copy/paste.

    Quite good game with a few bugs here and there but none game-breaking for me!
    If you are worried about the bugs hold off and wait a bit before hitting the buy button.
    Looking forward to seeing all the upgrades and support to come over the next 5 years that will make it a 10/10

    I really don't get why it currently has 4.2 user score here on Metacritic. Yes, there are some glitches and yes, the story/decision aspect is not the best, but the parkour gameplay, fighting, atmosphere and the city itself are all awesome. And even after 50 hours I still haven't done everything i want. Money well spent.

    - Combat feels good, maybe not as much oompf as the first game but it is still amazing. Parkour is MUCH improved, and feels so fluid and fun. - Story so far is decent, about the same level as the first game, maybe a bit better. - Performance on my 980ti and Ryzen 5 3600 is very good, low/medium settings (Digital foundries settings) and I got a locked 60fps, no    Amazing game so far.

    - Нет нормальных настроек графики (нельзя настроить даже тени, текстуры, дальность прорисовки...). Текстуры довольно мыльноваты. Графика неплохая, но на 22 год не тянет.
    - Побочные задания 50/50. Иногда попадается запутанная история с несколькими возможными исходами, а иногда надо просто что-то принести. - Лицевые анимации сделаны довольно паршиво. - НЕЛЬЗЯ чинить оружие (это    Минусы:

    - Довольно-таки сложная и долгая прокачка снаряжения и навыков.

    Плюсы:
    - Общая атмосфера, палитра цветов и карта.
    - Очень много активностей, квестов, интересных точек на карте.
    - Харизматичные персонажи, запоминаются.
    - Хорошая озвучка, такое встретишь нечасто (русский мат в ассортименте).
    - Много холодного оружия, улучшения к нему из первой части никуда не делись.
    - Если в первой части ночью не было особо смысла вылазить, то здесь большинство ценностей нужно искать в темное время суток. Многие квесты также доступны только ночью.
    - Паркур и боёвка очень плавные и проработанные.
    - Мир довольно живой и насыщенный базами фракций, бандитами. Можно часто встретить этих людей, чем-то занятых
    - Система фракций, на мой взляд, реализована довольно здорово и влияет на геймплей.
    - Не понимаю, за что так засрали сюжет. По моему мнению, цель главного героя хоть и банальна, но подача и сюжетные квесты довольно интересны. В сюжете действительно есть ключевые моменты, от выбора которых зависит судьба города и персонажей.

    С учётом скорых патчей и фиксов - твёрдая восьмерка.    … Expand

    Game is amazing my only complaints are the story and the enemy variety. Story lacks here and there and wasn't really compelling also the decisions in the game i think are pointless they don't change much other than the open world bonuses the factions give and enemy variety is bad for a long game like this one literally only 3-4 human enemies and 6-7 zombie variants.     Very fun game, has it's flaws definitely like the bugs, not a big fan of the immunity timer or no manual saves but gameplay is just too fun. If you like the first dying light, you'll like this one.

It's full of angry Italians because their language is not dubbed in the game, full of players raging at Denuvo or mindless one line reviews hating on one aspect of the game(lets say combat) and all of them giving it instantly a 0/10. People don't know how to write a genuine review and that's annoying. The game is great so far,Honestly, watching all the negative reviews is actually sad.     If u liked the first one, u will like this one too. Improvements everywhere except the combat. It just feels kinda off especially zombie combat...

    Every other aspect is nice. Side Quests funny as usual. New interesting missions besides Story and side quests. A bit repetitive overtime but fun to play.     Dying Light 2 is a great game and an excellent successor to the original. The graphics are great and the story is entertaining however the game is not perfect. I ran into a few visual bugs and experienced a few crashes but the worst part is easily the final boss fight. The fight has 4 stages and is just horrible.

    Officially, the gaming community today is the stupidest ever. The game according to Italians deserves a 0/10 rating as there is no language available for them. This is just one disadvantage that does not affect the gameplay. The game itself is great, a good game worth attention has finally come out for over a year

    Despite all my complaints, I initially had fun with Dying Light 2. The first quarter of the game was engaging. I think if the rest of the game played like this, I would have way more positive things to say, but the fact is that it’s just not done. This is clearly an unfinished game mired in mismanagement. I don’t blame the developers at all; the leaders and executives behind this work are responsible. What works here is clean and well done, albeit with some boring AAA niceties. After the first quarter or so, though, the game absolutely falls apart in almost every respect. I’m sad for what was produced here, but if I’m being honest, I’m more sad that I invested nearly thirty hours of my own time into this. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

    Dying Light 2 has proven to be a brilliant zombie game, thanks to the great parkour and combat mechanics. The story however is a bit flawed due to some really strange twists.

    There is fun to be had here, but aside from a few moments of joyous parkour, it's the sort of fun you can have in dozens of other open-world games. There is certainly some added fun in co-op with a couple of friends, but in a world where we get another open-world game every week, I just cannot recommend anyone go out and buy Dying Light 2 at full price. Especially not when it came out right before Horizon: Forbidden West and Elden Ring, both of which look far more promising.
