    I feel like I'm not playing the same game as some of these other reviewers.

    I'm enjoying this game immensely, and it has actually exceeded my expectations. I thought the first game was fairly mediocre, and the second game has me sold. - Progression System is pretty good. It goes along with the story and character development. Leveling greatly improves both your combat and parkour    I feel like I'm not playing the same game as some of these other reviewers.

    - Level design is fantastic. You can tell they put ALOT of thought into how they designed the map.

    - Combat is ridiculously fun. Even more so once you get a few levels under your belt. The combat feels visceral and engaging

    - Several different enemy types, both zombies and factions. When combined together, this is quite a large number of different enemies.

    - I'm personally enjoying the story quite a bit. I don't think the characters are dull or uninteresting. A lot of t hem are very believable and the voice acting is definitely above standard. I'm not sure what people are comparing this game to when it comes to animations and voice actor quality. There might be 1 or 2 RPGS out there with better quality.

    I guess I never follow the hype campaigns that these companies put out, so I don't know if that's playing into some of these other reviews. I was definitely surprised on how much I'm enjoying this game, and the RPG elements are much appreciated.    … Expand

    Минус игры всего один, это даунгрейд графики от 2018/2019 vs retail. Оговорка про баги, сейчас это так тупо судить когда выходит игра, скажите какая вышла ааа без багов, причём тут их мало они все почти сетевые, за 37 часов игры игра не вылетела у нас(играем в 3ем) ниразу! Минус игры всего один, это даунгрейд графики от 2018/2019 vs retail.     I love everything about this game. Gameplay doesn't feel repetitive and is actually very addictive. Movement is so polished and smooth. Just a joy to master. Graphics are amazing. Maxed out raytracing setting on RTX3090 that is. Lighting with this setting feels really next gen and makes most of the modern AAA games look like cartoon. Story wise it's pretty decent actually and fits atmosphere and the world quiet nicely and makes me wanna know what comes next. Overall to me this one is much better than the first one and the size of it and the depth are quiet surprising. Few small technical bugs I've noticed: the game looks too blurry in motion with DLSS enabled. Had to set sharpness slider to 70 as this is the only value that produced kinda similar image standing still vs moving. But it looks a bit oversharpen as result. Hope devs fix this and make DLSS quality look less blurry in motion so we don't have to crank up sharpness as high. Then there are ghosting trails behind some moving objects from time to time (this is with DLSS enabled as well). Something off with motion vectors I guess as pointed by Digital Foundry as well in their video. But overall it's a great experience still and real joy to play! Playing in downtown now with all those tall buildings with many walkable floors and overall geometry complexity and just looks and feels like the most dense, beautiful and complex level and environment design in games to date. And the performance is quiet smooth. No stutter no nothing considering what's on display. Great job Techland!

    Oh and flashlight shadows of course. Really hope devs will add them in. Currently shadowless flashlight is the weakest portion of the game presentation. Unfortunately 50% of the game happening in the dark and flashlight looks really outdated compare to all other graphical features on display. Whoever made this decision disabling flashlight shadows was wrong    … Expand

    This game is absolutely a marvel. In every aspect it's an improvement to the predecessor, in terms of combat, parkour, everything. Gameplay is one of the most addictive out there, you can web swing like spider man, climb like in mirror's edge and fight like Kratos in god of war. Well earned 10/10, keep up the good work Techland.

This sequel is fantastic and truly an evolution of everything that made the first Dying Light fun. Is it a little less scary? Yes. But it's more of an adrenaline rush with the heart-pounding chases andDon't listen to the rest of these trolls that are giving the game a zero simply because it doesn't have an Italian localization, or because they're potato computers can't run the game. This sequel is fantastic and truly an evolution of everything that made the first Dying Light fun. Is it a little less scary? Yes. The story won't be winning any awards but the multiple choices and outcomes is still pretty fun and adds replay value. And honestly who plays these games for the story anyway? The first one's story wasn't that great and I put over 400 hours into it because the gameplay was awesome.

    dying light 2 is a fantastic game i personally enjoyed almost every aspect of the game and i think it improves on everything the first game did so well. The map is also massive it takes you ages to run from one end to the other especially without the use of the glider which btw is also a nice addition to the movement system. In terms of bugs i havent encountered one that i even felt was worthy enough to even notice there was one time where one of the mini bosses fell through the ground but i just had to leave the area and come back so it didnt really impact so other than that this game is absolutlty fantastic… Expand

    Liebe das Spiel einfach!

    Klar, es hat hier und dar noch ein paar Bugs oder Fehlern, aber die werden denke ich mit der Zeit behoben werden.

    Aber jeder der ein Rollenspiel mit Fokus auf Loot und Apokalypse mag, wird mit dem Spiel glücklich werden.

    Game after patch 1.9.0 is really good now I'm fully recommend play this game on PC with dlss or FSR . Hopefully dying light 2 FSR 2.0 upgraded to 2.2 version for better visual and quality both on PC and console

With that being said, everything I disliked about the first Dying Light is not in this one. The parkour is better, the fighting is better and the story is soooooo much better. I played Dying Light because everyone said “Oh it gets so much better the longer you play.” That was not the case for me. But this game? I’m not forcing myself to play it, I can easily sit and play it for the entire day and not even realize it’s been that long. The graphics are amazing (my laptop runs it anywhere from 40-60 FPS it’s not the most powerful machine ever, but I still think it looks amazing) I do have a few freeze framing drops, but that’s one of those things the devs acknowledged and are fixing. I think my biggest complaint about the game is that I can’t repair (unless I mod) or scrap weapons. Sure you can sell them, but I put a lot of mods which are relatively expensive into this weapon, I don’t want to just hand it over to some vendor. Devs, let us repair our weapons please and thank you.… Expand

Edit: played over 100 hours and no game breaking bugs, just a couple of funny ones in coop where NPCs will repeat themselves over and over. Great story, graphics are great with a 3080 on ultra settings, side stories enhance world building. I look forward to whatever direction they go next with theBeautiful game. Plays well.     I'm sorry for other Italians review bombing the game because they can't put 1+1 together. It's not a 10 but it's an extremely fun game, 7,5/8 maybe. The story is pretty bad but sidemissions are interesting, the parkour is amazing with it's combos and the combat is... well, not really balanced but fun enough.

    This game is definitely a gem of 2022. The plot is not thrilling, but there are highly rated games where it is worse. Graphics are epic, mechanics could be better - but they are ok. The romance of the main character with some woman is missing. The main storyline could be longer, but it's still longer than the messiah of gaming CP2077. The best zombie game since Days Gone

В котором нет лишних механик, нету фатальных просадок по сюжету. Который соответствует современному уровню графики. В котором нету критических багов. Я давно не проваливался в игры на несколько дней с головой.Это конечно кощунство, ставить просто хорошей игре такую высокую оценку? Но когда мы в последний раз получали просто хороший сиквел?     I'm only about 3 hours in, but I am extremely impressed with this sequel. The first game was a surprise because of how mediocre the reviews were, and so when I picked up that game, I was floored by how well the game played, from the parkour to the combat with an incredible 3 dimensional experience.     There are almost 50k reviews on Steam and the score is VERY POSITIVE. This little war here between frustrated Italians, spiteful Poles, and complex Germans has nothing to do with any assessment. In fact, user ratings on Metacritic should be turned off because it's a big misunderstanding

    Dying Light 2 is larger and more atmospheric than its predecessor and therefore offers exactly what fans of part 1 want. There are better RPGs with better stories and better combat mechanics, but there are too few games like Dying Light 2, which focus on clumsy action and wonderfully smooth gameplay

    Giving it a 10 because of the review bombing. The game actually deserves an 8 in my opinion. The story of the main character is underwhelming but the world story can hold itself. The combat is very good and the parkour is great. Sure, there are some features missing and there are some balance issues, but the game as a whole is pretty good and can only improve.

La musica del juego es 10/10 hermosa desde el principio al fin encima si vas haciendo combos de parkour te empieza a sonar una musica que dependiendo de lo que hagas cambiará.
    El juego es una puta maravilla la historia es una maravilla y todavia no la he terminado es increible 10/10 el parkour 10/10 el combate 10/10 la verticalidad del mapa ni hablemos 10/10 la música 10/10 el ciclo del dia y de noche afectando al mundo que te rodea 10/10 los NPCS y sus personajes de la trama 10/10 hablandote y diciendote cosas segun hayas tomado ciertas decisiones en la historia.     Game has fantastic story telling and the gameplay is a fresh new take from the great original. Most peoples complaints are the bugs but it is now day 3 and they have released many bug fixes which have made the game a smooth sailing experience which is a joy to play and I hope you will enjoy it aswell reading this!

    Despite all my complaints, I initially had fun with Dying Light 2. The first quarter of the game was engaging. I think if the rest of the game played like this, I would have way more positive things to say, but the fact is that it’s just not done. This is clearly an unfinished game mired in mismanagement. I don’t blame the developers at all; the leaders and executives behind this work are responsible. What works here is clean and well done, albeit with some boring AAA niceties. After the first quarter or so, though, the game absolutely falls apart in almost every respect. I’m sad for what was produced here, but if I’m being honest, I’m more sad that I invested nearly thirty hours of my own time into this. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

    There is fun to be had here, but aside from a few moments of joyous parkour, it's the sort of fun you can have in dozens of other open-world games. There is certainly some added fun in co-op with a couple of friends, but in a world where we get another open-world game every week, I just cannot recommend anyone go out and buy Dying Light 2 at full price. Especially not when it came out right before Horizon: Forbidden West and Elden Ring, both of which look far more promising.
