This is a HUGE improvement over the first episode. It has definitively a great DK feeling. The game is very funny. I really liked the gameplay and the story.

I love tinkering with my dungeons, which annoys the crap out of the narrator (which in it self is funny), and I don't mind the occasional visit from the heroes to test my defenses. I found it to be a game that's both easy to learn and easy to love, but harder to master. But if you didn't have to think, and sometimes rethink, your strategies it would be rather boring. Expand

Dungeons II is a fantastic sequel to the original Dungeons games as it totally revamps the franchise and takes a completely different approach. There are several things about this game that are like-able and noteworthy. Kevan Brighting is the narrator for Dungeons II and if the name doesn't ring a bell he's the gentleman whom also narrated The Stanley Parable. I also LOVE that there are objectives to capture/complete but you can take your sweet time doing so. The only complaint I have is you cannot rotate the screen at all like you can in the first Dungeons game. :( Expand

True to the spirit of Dungeon Keeper, fun to play, great music and full of little monsters eager to please the evil mastermind (you), but in need of some control refinements that would make it a perfect game. Nevertheless it's still a diamond and for me, it's the first game after DK that gives you the same dungeon management feeling.

This is a very nice remake of Dungeon Keeper where you build a dungeon, populate it with evil creatures and kill invading adventurers and heroes. It adds an RTS mode where you control units directly while attacking humans in the overworld. It adds an RTS mode where you control units directly while attacking humans in the overworld. The humor which was so nice in Dungeon Keeper, is also present here, yet it's a bit overdone. The narrator is the same as in the Stanley's Parabola game. He reads his lines pretty well, it's just that the jokes themselves are a bit too frequent. Also, some jokes may contain cultural references with which you might not be familiar. One other minor thing is that I always wanted to zoom out the camera even more than the game allows, for a better overview of the dungeon. Overall, it's a very good remake of Dungeon Keeper for the new generation of players who may get scared by the outdated DOS graphics of the original. Expand

Funny game and a good recommendation from me!

The focus of Dungeons 2 is clearly on the story and not on the game mechanics although this is also quite good. A multiplayer for LAN and online games is also available, but the story makes the game. The narrator is really great and brings both the story and hearty sayings in between well, Game of Thrones, WarCraft, Super Natural and many

The narrator is really great and brings both the story and hearty sayings in between well, Game of Thrones, WarCraft, Super Natural and many other characters or stories also appear in the narrative of Dungeons 2, and cause laughter, I had really fun to play with.

However, you can play through the basic story within 10-15H, after that you only have to chase the achievements or try the multiplayer where there are unfortunately cheaters and lags and the problem of finding an opponent at all. With a friend, on the other hand, via LAN (tunngle, Hamachi) or over the Internet, the multiplayer is also fun.

The DLCs offer further stories or content but are too high in terms of pricing.

Dungeons 2 is neither a great RTS nor a great Dungeon Keeper game. It’s just “pretty good” at both.

An attempt to resurrect the old classic succeeds in capturing its atmosphere. The game is ruined unfortunately by its poor strategic part and (sometimes) an embarrassing humor. [Issue#253]

Finally, a successor to Dungeon Keeper 2 that is actually fun to play.
