May 13, 2016In desperate need of an update. This game seems to really despise running well. Frequent crashes, horrible frames per second and most of the time it doesn't even load. I have tried everything to get it working and it never works. I have much bigger games on my PC but this one doesn't even want to live.

May 15, 2016The most boring FPS in a long while. The action is too far between all the puzzles and platform jumping. When I do encounter monsters they are indistinguishable with each other and ridiculously easy to kill. Weapons feel too weak.

Dec 21, 2021This game was always overrated and massively overhyped. Very bland and mind numbing game.

May 27, 2016It is simply not that fun. Currently no sli or crossfire, even tho it runs fast on one gpu. This is because the graphics are not that good. The original doom is still more fun than this.
-
Jul 28, 2016The gameplay is some of the best in years. Unfortunately, they have the most awful save system that I have ever seen in a game... DRM for your save files. And they can get corrupt. Completely lost ALL of my progress due to the files becoming corrupt.
And seriously, why do they need 30 files to save one single player campaign?! -
Aug 8, 2016Gameplay is great, but destroying wave after wave of monsters without proper story and cutscenes , just wasn't for me. Played till mission 6 and got bored of grinding.
DOOM is good game if you enjoy great gameplay and shooting monsters almost all the time, but don't expect to get any kind of story. -

Jun 10, 2016Don't get your hopes up for the multiplayer, it's a joke and absolutely awful, at least the single player is a reasonably pleasant experience. not that that means much.

Aug 5, 2016The single player is essentially Brutal Doom but worse, and the multiplayer is Halo. I did not finish the single player campaign - I'm around the Cyberdemon, I guess. I will probably never finish the single player campaign because I am so bored of it. At least they got the game out.

"games out of politics" right? -
Jun 28, 2016No quick-save option, no on-screen mini-map, felt like I was playing a game that was meant for a console that was meant for an arcade that was meant for an Atari... in the year of our lord 2016? Go to hell, "Wolfenstein-with-demons-instead-of-Nazis". Put some textures on dat b*tch!
-
Jun 15, 2016Tried the demo. Everything was fine until the minute I died. Because then I had start over the last 10 mins... WTF? No free saving? No F5? Everything is retro, but there are CHECKPOINTS? Why not QTEs? The biggest flop this year.

May 18, 2016Painfully boring, dumb as a bag of rocks, repetitive mindless shooter. Ok nice graphics, tight controls. Doom is the state of our planet right now, not a game.
-
Sep 22, 2018Worst game ever. 2k18 checkpoints. You just kill monster die if you jump wrong side. And walking walking walking.
I don't understand why people like this.
I playd many indie games and always I can find something interesting but here I don't see anything to love this game.
Just overhype game -

May 21, 2016It's plain, it's boring, it's monotonous.
The game looks like poor Japanese cartoon, badly designed and badly shaped.
In the end it's the same as Quake 3 with almost comparable graphics. Don't recomend it to anybody except children under 12 years old. -
Mar 22, 2020"All you do is paa pew baam boom! What's the point? It's waste of time!" is what my father used to say about shooters when I was a kid and I would always have argument about there being more than that but if he said that for this game I'd have to agree because DOOM 2016 is just another mind-numbing title in DOOM series.

Games Master UKJul 25, 2016Meaty multiplayer and a campaign that plays like a sustained electric shock. Eye wateringly fun. [July 2016, p.60]
-
CD-ActionJul 21, 2016If you miss Doom, you miss what I anticipate to be one of two most important first person shooters of 2016. The classic returns in great shape, with all its vital elements intact. Give the campaign some time to pick up speed and it will pump your veins full of adrenaline. [07/2016, p.38]

PC PowerPlayJul 6, 2016A tribute to Doom that leaps to great heights, but fails to fully stick the landing. [Issue#252, p.60]
