    This game is absolutely awesome. I loved this game. It's in 2nd in my fav Doom games, behind 2016. The only reason im rating it a 9, is because of the new spokesperson, and the intro. Wouldve rated a 10 if they kept the same spokesperson, and made the same familiar intro as in 2016.

    Doom Eternal features 2 modes, an online competitive mode where a demon slayer is heavily unfairly matched with infinitely spawning player controlled demons that just isn’t really fun unless you’re on the demon side, so imam just throw that mode away and focus on the reason everyone is buying doom eternal.. its hefty 17 hour long demon filled    Doom Eternal
    Great and greatly overrated
    Doom Eternal features 2 modes, an online competitive mode where a demon slayer is heavily unfairly matched with infinitely spawning player controlled demons that just isn’t really fun unless you’re on the demon side, so imam just throw that mode away and focus on the reason everyone is buying doom eternal.. its hefty 17 hour long demon filled campaign, and this campaign is really great… here you play as a demon slayer, taking on zombies and demons on earth as well as mars, going through a fairly linear campaign, but one filled with traversal and platforming, which is a very welcomed change.. however I feel this new addition takes a back seat to the straight up demon slaying, which on paper sounds fine, but ultimately it leads to an incohesive feeling world that feels like a bunch of random video game elements stapled together.. and this is Doom Eternals biggest issue…. Nothing feels purposeful, it feels mindless and repetitive from start to finish, none of the levels are memorable, the combat is constant, never giving you a chance to breathe or explore, it’s a headache… playing through doom eternal is an enjoyable headache.. but still a headache…
    combat that time around is much more enjoyable though. Enemies having their weaknesses, making almost every battle feel like a puzzle despite feeling mindless at the same time, rarely leading to frustrating encounters.. but don’t get me wrong.. those encounters do exist.. though rare.. theres one over powered enemy specifically that kills all and any fun youll be having with this game in an instant… more specifically in one area of the game where youre trapped with him and a snake enemy, and no ammo or health really around… which brings me to another gripe I have with doom eternal, its health and ammo situation… ammo health and armor really feel nonexistent in doom eternals world, instead the game relies on you using your abilities to obtain armour and health, you can catch enemies on fire and freeze them, you have chainsaw enemies for ammo… but I just feel like id much rather have ammo drops after killing enemies than forced to find a small one I can chainsaw..wait for that chainsaw to refuel and do it again… the chainsaw system in general is a nonsensical mess… you can store up to 3 chainsaw attacks, however there is no enemy you can kill with 2 fuels… so whats the point… theres 1 and theres 3… and then you have enemies later on that cant be attacked with the chainsaw at all because theyre too big… these enemies should be reserved for 3.. and the middle large enemies killed with 2.. it just leads to fuel hording, and the payoff is never worth it.. but that can be said for this games weapons as well, youre given amazing weapons towards the end of the game, but rarely any fuel to use them, which begs me to ask.. why even give them to me in the first place.. especially the sword… this item didn’t come into play and was basically unusable until the final boss… but if this was that weapons only purpose, I suppose that’s okay… but I feel if that is the case you should’ve just waited longer to give it to me… All in all I do feel Doom Eternal is a great game, its fun zombie slaying to heavy metal, theres a crazy amount of weapons, and different ways to upgrade these weapons, customize them to your gameplay… but just don’t believe the hype… go into doom eternal expecting a great game and not an amazing game or a masterpiece and you surely wont be disappointed…
    But if you go in expecting game of the year, youre going to get smacked with level design and gameplay that feels plucked out of the old god of war games with guns stapled to it
    I give Doom Eternal

    While the combat is better, harder and more complex, the level design is worse.
    Honestly I didn't mind the jumping sections, but because of them the level design is far more linear and half of the secrets are so easy to find. In 2016 you had 13 levels and in 12 of them were challenges. In Eternal there are also 13 levels, but only 9 have    Great game, but honestly I liked 2016 more.

    In 2016 you had 13 levels and in 12 of them were challenges. In Eternal there are also 13 levels, but only 9 have challenges. The levels here are longer, which is both good and bad thing. On one hand you have more content, but on the other I felt it should have been 2 levels shorter, because it started to get really repetitive.
    The bosses are great, except Marauder. Screw him.
    I didn't play multiplayer cause i don't play multiplayer games, but its kinda shame that there isn't snapmap mode.

    The game is pretty good but also dissapointing but still not that bad. It has issues and everything has already been said like ammo capacity, weak points, some enemies and boss fights. Also the platforming isnt as bad as other people say its just unnecessary and boring but it take like 1 minute and its the easiest platforming ever so you dont even know its there.

    Your weapons burn.
    You burn.

    You're on speed the whole time and try to play Through fire and Flames on an out of tune Broomstick.

    I can't drink coffee anymore as I'm shaking all the time.

    Incredibly fun and huge replay value when it comes to figuring out new moves, combos, and other mechanics. Enjoyed the movement mechanics and the huge trial and error moments I faced during the game. You can't just go in making dumb decisions, you have to mentally plan it out and know what you're doing and execute it well. Very enjoyable!

    Very good FPS, level design with small onions, catchy and punchy music. Really excellent. If you liked DOOM 2016, this is only the culmination of it, so go for it.

    An epiphany of violence and gore. And art form of clicks and clacks. A picture painted of glory kills and fire. Hands down the best FPS money can buy, one that will challenge all of your physical gaming limits. Disgustingly well optimized. Stunning visuals.

    Yes has you can see that pretty intense gameplay cause this game is a FAST-FPS like quake.
    The level design is just incredible and artistic direction is breathtaking. For all monster and mobs there is different AI for each one and all of the weapons are so much powerful. The most important for me is the diversification of the gameplay cause all demons have a strength and weakness.

    I was looking forward to playing this game after watching tons of let's Plays. I built my PC last month and I don't know, I guess I had exhausted my thirst to play this game. And every section looked so familiar because of all the lets plays. The game gets pretty difficult on UV. I enjoyed the game but I consider Doom 2016 to be a better game than this. The platforming is definitely notI was looking forward to playing this game after watching tons of let's Plays.     I am not a big Doom fan and this was my first exposure and now i understand what I was missing out. I wouldn't give this a perfect 10 as I wish it had a better repeating loop with multiplayer but its ok as its more of a single player game.

    That's an outstandingly good game. It's masterpiece, but it's very difficult on Nightmare! more difficult than Doom 2016 which i cleared easily on Nightmare! But marauders and how i feel, that Icon of Sin, are "fairly" UNFAIR bosses. I recommend all players on nightmare to farm some Extra Lives.

However, the setting and narrative are quite poor, and plot is simply archangel Michael's copy. This is the only reason why i cant say it is a masterpiece.
    Nevertheless, i recommended to try new DOOM to    DOOM: ETERNAL's formula is just great. It makes the combat so intensive that you are probably going to jump out of your pants multiple times. LaDoom Eternal es exactamente lo que debe ser: una loca orgía de sangre y violencia, donde los combates son una descarga de adrenalina continua. Pero no es simplemente un mata-mata, sino que cada enemigo tiene sus puntos débiles y estrategias, cada arma sus virtudes y utilidades, de modo que una vez que entras en su flow, es como una especie de extraña coreografía de vísceras y muerte. La historia continua la del Doom 2016 y amplía su universo y trasfondo, dándole una extraña coherencia que es tan over-the-top como todo el resto del juego. Aquí eres el Doom Slayer, lo de los puzzles y tal quedan para otros, aquí no venimos a ser humanos y tener que tener en cuenta cosas como el estress postraumático o las consecuencias de la guerra, esto es pura ira desatada. Y los momentos más tranquilos, sirven para explorar y saltar, coleccionando los numerosos objetos que hay para encontrar en cada mapa.

    A nivel gráfico el juego es una pasada. No solo en ejecución, que también, sino principalmente a nivel de diseño, con unos enemigos muy carismáticos y bien diferenciados y unas localizaciones y escenarios mucho más variadas de lo que esperaba. La música es una descarga de adrenalina similar a la jugabilidad, haciendo que nos metamos en ese duro universo de violencia y energía y mantegamos el foco en cada enemigo, cada esquiva y movimiento. Los efectos sonoros están bastante bien, igual que el doblaje de las voces. Y, al menos en mi caso, apenas me encontré un par de salidas a escritorio en todo el juego, ningún otro bug.

    El resultado es, sin duda, que Doom Eternal da lo que promete. Rip and tear! Un 8,5.    … Expand

    After trailer and short gameplay I thought I will not like this game. But after a few minutes I was thrilled! They move so fast! You cannot stop. You need to use all the equipment and keep changing and adjusting it. This game is EPIC, dripping with adrenaline pumped with hard core music! I never thought that I would receive this much adrenaline in singleplayer game. Only odd things areAfter trailer and short gameplay I thought I will not like this game. But after a few minutes I was thrilled! They move so fast! You cannot stop. You need to use all the equipment and keep changing and adjusting it. This game is EPIC, dripping with adrenaline pumped with hard core music! I never thought that I would receive this much adrenaline in singleplayer game.     Doom Eternal is criminally fun. This fast-paced FPS gives you so many new interesting weapons and gadgets that it can almost feel overwhelming. Even though Doom Eternal gives you so many new bells and whistles it still felt challenging at times as enemies took a lot of damage to kill(I did play on ultra-violence difficulty so that could be why), but you still feel like your doing a lot ofDoom Eternal is criminally fun. This fast-paced FPS gives you so many new interesting weapons and gadgets that it can almost feel overwhelming. Even though Doom Eternal gives you so many new bells and whistles it still felt challenging at times as enemies took a lot of damage to kill(I did play on ultra-violence difficulty so that could be why), but you still feel like your doing a lot of damage because peace's of the demons flesh will fall off them which makes you feel incredibly powerful without making the game easy. This game has an interesting story that I didn't care too much about. What really kept me coming back was the gameplay. This game improves on Doom 2016 in so many ways. If you liked Doom 2016 you'll absolutely love Doom Eternal.… Expand

As i say above, this game is much more difficult than its predecessor but it's giving more challenge and force you to be smart too. But what i don't like about this game is the platforming section which is annoying at times and slow down the pace. And the soundtrack? It'sFirst, i like to say like the doom 2016, i LIKE this game a LOT!! fast paced, difficult but challenging and very fun. As i say above, this game is much more difficult than its predecessor but it's giving more challenge and force you to be smart too. But what i don't like about this game is the platforming section which is annoying at times and slow down the pace. And the soundtrack? It's still good especially The Only Thing They Fear Is You and Meathook, but the overall soundtrack for me is still inferior to the doom 2016 soundtrack.     DOOM eternal is seriously a very good sequel (it's hard to find a good sequel these days that surpasses the original ) , it feels like a modern DOOM experience and nails everything that i loved about the originals, Hugh martin as a director really understood what Doom needed in this game and innovated in many ways. The lore is so satisfying and Mick gordon's soundtrack plays with yourDOOM eternal is seriously a very good sequel (it's hard to find a good sequel these days that surpasses the original ) , it feels like a modern DOOM experience and nails everything that i loved about the originals, Hugh martin as a director really understood what Doom needed in this game and innovated in many ways. The lore is so satisfying and Mick gordon's soundtrack plays with your emotions, the graphics and animations are gorgeous and this sequel really builds upon 2016's DOOM. If you're a fan of any kind of shooter, definitely check this game out.… Expand

I honestly have no clue what the story was about and have no real interest in reading up on it. With so little in it for me, I'm surprised by how much I loved this game.

I honestly have no clue what the story was about and have no real interest in reading up on it. With so little in it for me, I'm surprised by how much I loved this game.
    I feel like the difficulty isn't really difficulty in the punishing sense but urges you to use your entire arsenal at all times, forcing you to constantly switch around weapons and tactics on the fly to exploit every weakness possible. This keeps the game fresh and exciting throughout the campaign. That with the unparalleled sense of mobility, you constantly find yourself in a groove to the heavy metal music while your senses are overloaded. The visual design is colorful and easy to navigate with split second reflexes despite the fact that it's gory demons. The sound design is a hilarious mix of cartoonish sound effects that give to it's charm.
    In a world of repetitive shooters which all feel like the refinement of the last, this one does something that feels completely different.
    I won't remember much of the game or the story, but I know that for it's respectable run time, I had constant fun, was challenged but not frustrated, and would recommend this to anyone who is up for something old that feels new.    … Expand

I got this game on sale expecting to not really like it but I am surprised to say this game is pretty amazing. It pretty much fixes my issues with 2016 being repetitive boring and mechanically brain dead. This game has very deep gameplay systems and skill curve. Enemies are very aggressive and II didn't like Doom 2016 very much I thought people overhyped a pretty boring mediocre game. I got this game on sale expecting to not really like it but I am surprised to say this game is pretty amazing. It pretty much fixes my issues with 2016 being repetitive boring and mechanically brain dead. This game has very deep gameplay systems and skill curve. Enemies are very aggressive and I love the art style. Level design in this is soo much better and more diverse. Movement is massively improved.… Expand

    Fantastic game. The art style and enemy designs are from Doom 2. Gameplay is more like Quake with jumping and moving fast. Very amazing game.

    First DOOM I've played, the gunplay in this game is nuts. To be expected, but still quite the experience.

    Mick Gordon did a stellar job as well with the music.

    If you like feeling like a complete and udder badass making demons cry at the mere mention of your name, then get this game. However, one thing i must add is even though the game offers a very good challenge on its hardest difficulty, once you beat it you are basically done with the game. Its a one and done type of game however offers a very good experience.

    This is a great game and i would suggest it to anyone, it is pretty violent but this is doom what do you expect. over all if you are into FPS games you should get this it is worth all of the money.

    Instead of just seeing targets, they see priorities. Instead of just dodging, they're thinking about the order of their actions, which resources to manage, how to most effectively keep them up, when to engage, when to run, and who to kill first. Every encounter is like a new puzzle to solve.

    Every arena consists of two categories of enemies; fodder, and heavies. Fodder enemies, typically imps, soldiers, and gargyoles, are hardly threats. They have small health pools, make little effort to dodge your attacks, and generally go down in a few small-arms shots. However, they serve a different purpose; they are easy prey to use your various resource-management abilities on. Use a glory kill on one to get health back, use a chainsaw to get ammo, or use the flame belch to get armor. Because these enemies are quick to kill, respawn indefinitely, and pose little threat, they exist not as targets, but as resource nodes to fall back on after running your guns dry, or getting low on health and armor. No; in a given arena, the real threat are the heavies.

    The heavies and super heavies are the real center of an arena. Unlike fodder, they have much larger health pools, more mobility, and generally much more dangerous attacks. The doomslayer's priority on entering any arena is killing the heavies as fast as possible. Doing so is not always so cut and dry; each heavy usually has a unique weakness or strategy to exploit, with which the doomslayer must respond to accordingly: cacodemons can be made to swallow a sticky bomb with precise timing, staggering them instantly; the hell knight has a particular weakness to the chaingun, making him falter more than any other weapon; and the most contentious enemy of all, the marauder, must be fought one-on-one in a very particular manner, countering his attacks and staying at a specific range. Taking all of this into account while fighting the heavies, as well as considering your ammo, health, and armor, and where the nearest fodder enemies are should you need to temporarily retreat and restock, makes up the bulk of the game's combat loop. Mess up once on nightmare, and you're a dead doomslayer.

    That's not to say you don't need a good base in FPS skill to play this game well; actually hitting your targets is just as important as knowing which targets to shoot. That skill floor might put off some less experienced fps players. But if you think you can handle it, the challenge DOOM Eternal presents is well worth it.    … Expand

    Ripping and tearing through demons in DOOM Eternal is a great time! The mix of platforming and combat is extremely well done, and I enjoy it a lot! The soundtrack gets you perfectly into the mood for wrenching off the heads of demons and punching through walls, and the overall sound design does a great job overall.

    If you like fast paced shooters that give you incredible feelings of flow, then look no further than Doom Eternal!
    If you're not used to shooters, it can seem a little crazy at times but it is so worth getting used too! Def one of my top games of the last year!

    Probably the most fun single player fps campaign out there right now.
    Quick switching and mastering weapon combos and tactics makes the game immensely replayable and in-depth.

    I am an experienced FPS player, I have been playing FPS games my while life. I played on normal difficulty and still got my ass handed to me every 10 minutes, and it was worse in the Expansion packs. Definitely a good game to play to sharpen skills and focus on key combos. Go ahead, Rip and Tear, until it is done.

    One of if not my favourite game of all time, the replayable value is amazing and for a single player game within a week I gathered a hundred hours on it trying to complete it in ultra nightmare no criticism of it other than the multiplayer which is quiet bland but other than that it is worth buying.

    DOOM Eternal takes everything that made DOOM (2016) great and enhances every aspect of it. I have been playing through the DLC's on nightmare and it is absolutely brutal. The difficulty is intense and fast paced and your controls and mechanics all synergize so perfectly to keep you alive and slaying no matter what obstacle you are facing. The base game is fantastic with a lot of    10/10

    For gods sake you get ammo back by using a chainsaw on your enemies.. how can you get more badass than that? The soundtrack is one of the best I have ever heard from any piece of entertainment whether it be a video game/movie/tv show ect.

    Doom Eternal is all around good. It has great enemy design, weapons, pacing, music and level design. It a game that embraces creativity. You find what weapons and combos work best for you. It a really fun action shooter.

    If you're looking for a deep and thought-provoking gaming experience that changes your outlook on life, look elsewhere. However, if you want a fast-paced, visceral shooter full of non-stop action and outrageous violence, you can't do better than Doom Eternal. If you liked 2016's offering you will love this follow up. It's a hell of a good time.

    Like Jason Statham’s character in Crank, Doom Eternal needs adrenaline every waking second. So long as you drown hordes of demons in their own blood, it feels like a perfect GOTY contender, but during quiet moments, Doom Eternal withers and forces you to ponder unpleasant questions. id Software needs to course-correct, otherwise we’ll be playing Super Doom Slayer’s Bros in a few years.
