    Very good game. Close to masterpiece! Fast and fun. Good heavy metal / demonic setting. An over the top story that make me laugh. Shooting action like I have never seen before.

    Turn out the lights get pumped up and kill some demons to save the world. All to the score of awesome heavy metal music. Whats not to like.

Honestly despite being more punishing Doom Eternal has much more variety in combat than 2016. But it all takes learning and getting used to, player has to suffer for some time to overcome the entrance barrier and get into a mindset and skillset where the game becomes incredibly fun and some people just don't want to put time into the game to get there, which is completely their right.… Expand

    Almost a year since I got this game (for myself and kiddos).
    we love it so much.
    Solid FPS with great fun and amazing gfx.
    Im not a big fan on the multiplayer but this game it worth every penny.
    still amaze how smooth is the engine

    The only quarrels I have with the game are:
    1. The glory kills get repetitive over time.
    2. Occasionally you'll get cornered in some way that you can't really recover from, and the amount of health you have means you sit there panicking for about 15-30 seconds (depending on the situation) before you die.
    Aside from those 2, the game is amazing.

    At first I thought there is too much violence, but then I managed to realize that it's a well-developed game with a great storyline. Play at least 4 hours and you'll get the hang of it.

    Played a good 7 hours but from everything i saw and did it looked great and based off many videos the game is easily a 10/10 BUT. you HAVE to be aware that you need an up to date PC for this game. i had to refund it because i couldn't play past 15 frames. it is a very demanding game for PC hardware.

    I would recommend this game since it is full of nicer. In fact it's absolutely jam packed with nicer. Some would say its a nicer overload. I would say its Olidi.

    The game itself on any difficulty is a gem. DOOM Eternal for me is tied with 2016, in my personal opinion its better in alot of ways too, but i know others hold 2016 closer to themselves. Its a HELL of a lot of fun in whatever mode you play having lots of different ways to play as well.

    I tried playing DOOM (2016) after playing this, and this game is infinitely better and worlds above the standard of all FPS games I've seen.

    At first I thought Doom was a horror game and oh boy was I right. It is an horror game, for the demons. Best Single player FPS game I have ever played. Worth every single Euro I have spent on it. Such an Amazing game.

    Did you just get off work? Are you pissed off? Did you just nose blast a rail of that sweet Columbian good-good? Then this game is for you. Yeah overall it's great if blasting demons is your thing, and you don't want the hastle of a deep story that you have to pay attention to.

However, I feel that Doom Eternal is in general a much more challenging game. The action in this game never ends, and the music is fantastic. The visceral deaths feel so good in this game, and there are so many ways to kill your enemies. Weapon modifiers are wellI love the HELL out of this game.     - Another absolute banger. The base game has some really amazing tracks and even though the DLC music was composed by different people it all fits into the gameplay like no other.
    - The enemies. Every enemy has a place and a reason to exist on the chess board. Some are incredibly punishing like a carcass up close. Others are just fodder meant for ammo or armour. But they all fit    PROS

    - The enemies. Every enemy has a place and a reason to exist on the chess board. Some are incredibly punishing like a carcass up close. Others are just fodder meant for ammo or armour. But they all fit beautifully into the Doom dance. Even the Marauder. Just watch Under The Mayo's video about him if you're unable to confidently figure out a way to get through him. He's nowhere near as bad as others have made him out to be.

    - The shooting. Every weapon is fun to shoot, responsive and impactful. Enemies are pulled apart with the new gore system and no weapon feels underwhelming or useless.

    - The controls. Doom guy controls wonderfully (especially when you get the rune to control yourself in mid air better) and zipping around the arena with your dash, swinging off poles and meathooking yourself into the air is incredible. The sense of speed never feels like too much.

    - The combat. On Nightmare the enemies are relentless. This is where the Doom dance shines. You will likely have to get used to quick switching weapons, constantly flame belching, ice bombing and glory killing to stay alive. In 2016 moving in 1 direction wouldn't result in much of a punishment. In Eternal you have to be moving in all directions to properly avoid being hit and I love it all the more for that. Using your chainsaw as an ammo refill was a neat little addition that I personally grew to love a lot along with the flame belch for armour refills.

    - The visuals. This game looks even better than 2016. The vistas are incredibly, textures are higher, enemies are designed to look more closely like their original sprites and the detail on them in terms of textures and animations is top notch.

    - The performance. No game performs like Doom does whilst looking this good. I've never had frame drops from too much happening on screen nor have I ever encountered slow downs from too many enemies spawning in at once. Truly remarkable how well this game runs. Playing this on ultra, at 144hz at 3440x1440 is amazing.

    CONS
    - The story unfolds in a very expository manner. Entire concepts that doom guy would already know about are spoken directly to the player instead of being shown or leaving that information to a codex for those who care to read about it.

    - The crashing. I have had several crashes throughout my time and have never been able to figure out why. At 1 stage I played about 16 hours without an issue (my first playthrough). Then I had about 4 different crashes over about 10 hours of gametime. Just recently I've been practicing some Ultra Nightmare runs and it hasn't crashed once. Its been very inconsistent.

    - As of 16 MAR 21 you will likely encounter issues with the bloodpunch and chainsaw. The bloodpunch will sometimes not activate at all or you'll have an enemy highlighted orange for a glory kill but you'll blood punch it instead. With the chainsaw you could be closer than you actually need to be but have the game not register the attack and flash "no target" or you'll get the same message flash up if you try using it against a demon thats in the middle of some animations. The latter instance is inconsistent in of itself though as I've managed to chainsaw many imps whilst they were leaping between platforms.

    - Ground attacks from certain enemies have a tendency to activate infinite tracking at times. I've had some attacks fall short as I dashed backwards. Others rounded corners and somehow followed me into the air. It doesn't happen often but its frustrating when it does.

    I doubt I could write anything that others haven't wrote before. The game is excellent. It is artistically and technically amazing. The music is so good I sometimes left the game running with sound on while doing something else, the main tracks and ambient background music will stay with you for years.     Ultra fast paced. Unparalleled violence.
    Only one word to describe that experience: D00M!

    On top of that, magnificent visuals. Excellent music. Hardcore sounds.
    Top fluent on ultra. Works perfectly with a controller so I can relax in the sofa while playing it.
    There is NO much relaxing game than Doom.

    Finally beat the base game and may I say what an absolute delight it has been.

    Not much to say, if you enjoy violent demon murdering while listening to music just as violent then this game will be a class choice.

    Okay let's get to the point!

    PC Requirements: Decent (At least 3gb GPU and a decent CPU)

    Graphics: Graphics are nice! Comparing Lowest and Highest graphics they look similar
    like a difference between 2 graphic options next to each other in an order. What actually changes is
    lighting quality, reflections etc. (which can be up to 6,7gb vram starting from 2.7gb vram)

    Sound design: All I can say is BEST MUSICS and Most seducing death, slaying, demon (and more) sounds

    Bugs, Glitches: There might be some that people encountered before but I finished the game peacefully
    in my both 2 gameplays.

    Load times: it is not instant load, but it is nice.

    Story: They tried to do something, good cinematics and plenty of opportunities to see the Doomguy.

    How long? 25 hours

    Gameplay: it is nice and Fun beside some anger issues sometimes for some levels, but you must be more
    tactical instead for just shooting around like you have to first destroy guns of demons, make cacodemons eat
    bombs or use specific weapons on specific demons. Always have an eye on how many ammos you have, you will have to use the chainsaw so many times that you can't even imagine, now little demons are a source of ammo to use your
    chainsaw on. About the fighting arenas, they are nice mostly, besides some odd wall placements letting you being surrounded and die (only a few designs like that).

    About some cons now: (weapons to be used: Super Shotgun, Ballista, Bomb)

    Marauders, the new enemies. They are hard if you are too far they use their super shotgunor send a wave with their axe made of argent enery, if you are too close they might wield their axe on you. Keep middle range dont attack in random times, they might use the instant-wielding shield and you will lose time reloading your super-shotgun giving you a death risk, so always attack when he is about to attack. If you are low on ammo/health, be rapid go chainsaw/glory kill or bloodpunch some little demon and get back to the fight. (you are not always encountering them but they are tough)

    Doom Hunters, they are dangerous until you destroy they rocket down there in the legs part. This rocket gives them a Plasma Shield and increases strength. After you destroy the rocket with Shotgun's minigun mod, rocket launcher or minigun
    (any tough weapon) he is now very weak and you can chill!

    So that's all for my review, it is overall a very nice DOOM experience like always.

    Tons of fun, visually awesome, banger soundtrack. All the weapons feel great, all the enemies are designed well. Don't really have anything negative to say but there isn't anything amazing that would push me to give it higher than an 8.

    Doom, just doom. I don't think I have to add anything. It's a great game from great franchise, doom was beginning of fps games and it is still a good fps game. Really good game with some lore but not too much, many well made demons, many fun to shoot guns with many modifications, graphics are really good, you don't need NASA computer to play on highest settings, so it's well optimized,Doom, just doom.     increiblemente divertido. Excelente en todos sus apartados, sobretodo esa banda sonora... Acabo de terminar el juego y literalmente estoy agotado fisicamente de lo mucho que me ha exigido el juego. Esto ultimo no lo digo como algo malo, al contrario. Ha sido tan satisfactorio de jugar que ha hecho que me entregue en cuerpo y alma.

    Juego extremadamente mejorado, nada que ver con el doom del 2016, mejor dificultad, mejor jugabilidad y muchísimo más frenético, es un juego divertídisimo de principio a fin, técnicamente es muy bueno y sobretodo es adictivo, se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo.

There are so many good weapons to use, lots of upgrades to acquire, and so many ways to take out enemies.     This game has certainly earned a place in my top 10 FPS titles of all the time !
    Such a challenging game, but it won't stop you if you'd prefer to take a breezy tour through metal album landscapes and demon guts !!
    And dont forget to put the difficulty on Nightmare ...

    Still not finnishing the game, cause i do all 100% but its so good if u like fast fps, to me one of the best on his kind, go ahead, runs perfectly and so good graphics and gameplay, bethesda and especially id Software u done a rlly good job out there !!!!

    What can I say that hasn't been said? Doom Eternal is a masterpiece. Who doesn't want to shoot demons and feel like they're doing crack and cocaine! If you haven't bought this game already? what the hell are you waiting for? this game is worth every penny.

Dette spillet er en actionfylt thriller og har en mer historisk bakgrunn som går inn i en dypere forståelse av hvordan det hele begynte og hva som for øyeblikket skjer. Også, hvis du liker en utfordring som vil holde deg på tærne mens du kjemper mot horder av demoner, så er dette spillet noe for deg.

    im not a fan of gore, but the gore in this game isnt that bad, i can look past it because i really liked the gameplay of the main story and the parts where you just go wild shooting everything in sight.

    it isnt just mindless shooting either, there is some strategy to what kind of weapon you want to use on what type of enemy. The soundtrack is top notch and it makes you feel so cool in the combat sections.

    it's not just about mindless shooting, there is a strategy for which type of weapon you want to use on which type of enemy.

    I had to snap back to reality to realize after 6 hours that I should eat and drink something.
    I think even the demon under my bed and my wardrobe fear that I just "bonk" them.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is the fps of genre, you better listen to this you p*ssy. DOOM Eternal is my another favorite single-player fps, and i'm in love replaying this over 4 times already. DOOM Eternal take place after DOOM 2016 ending (I'm not going to spoiled it, go see for yourself and play DOOM 2016 what is happening at the ending) over 66% has been consumed by the demons. DOOM Guy and VEGA going to work their way and Rip and Tear. The intro is already a badass. The game go straight right in to the action. No more bullsh*t pistol. Pistol is ruining the pacing on DOOM 2016. In DOOM Eternal, you start with the Shotgun right away and go for 1, 2, 3 shot at the Zombies faces. And then, there is the chainsaw. Chainsaw has a ability to drop shotgun ammo, heavy ammo, cells ammo, and rocket ammo. I don't know why people are complain about ammo because of the shotgun clip size was originally for 20-30-40-50-60 max from DOOM 2016. DOOM Eternal's shotgun clip size will give you 16-18-20-22-24. In my opinion, id Software did a good job balancing the game and not to give this game more repetitive. It was a good changes. I don't want to hear you guys give a sh*t about an ammo changes! Press C for ammo bi*ch! Character model has been overhaul for the Classic DOOM looking. example for Soldier have bright orange eyes and dye green hair. Cacodemon blood was originally from red blood to blue blood. New and return of the enemy from DOOM 2016 : Lost Soul, Hell Knight, Baron of Hell, Mancubus, Cyber-Mancubus, Imp, Soldier, Cacodemon, Pinky, Spectre, Cyberdemon (was renamed for Tyrent), Cueball, Prowler (from the multiplayer of DOOM 2016 and now he was from the actual the first time in single-player) and Revenant . The return of the demon: Archvile, Pain Elemental and Arachnotorn. BUT WAIT I'M NOT DONE YET! There is new demon in this game. Carcass, Gargoyle, Whiplash, Dread Knight, Mecha Zombies and Mayker Drone. We are on to boss fight you encounter: Doom Hunter, Gladiator, Khan Mayker and the gigantic Icon of Sin.     Great DOOM game i love the mobility in eternal so much better then 2016 and the fast paced in your face action makes it very fun to play now if it had a multiplayer like this with some more strafe like q4 and the boost movements and not battle mode the game would be perfect !

    If you're looking for a deep and thought-provoking gaming experience that changes your outlook on life, look elsewhere. However, if you want a fast-paced, visceral shooter full of non-stop action and outrageous violence, you can't do better than Doom Eternal. If you liked 2016's offering you will love this follow up. It's a hell of a good time.

    Like Jason Statham’s character in Crank, Doom Eternal needs adrenaline every waking second. So long as you drown hordes of demons in their own blood, it feels like a perfect GOTY contender, but during quiet moments, Doom Eternal withers and forces you to ponder unpleasant questions. id Software needs to course-correct, otherwise we’ll be playing Super Doom Slayer’s Bros in a few years.
