Aug 28, 2021I rated the main game 5/10, and DLC one 4/10. With DLC 2 they finally do something right. The sentinel hammer is good design. And they finally make the auto shotgun usable in certain situations. Final boss fight was incredibly boring and a total waste of time.

Jun 25, 2022The second addon came out easier than the first (probably due to player's complaints), so overall I liked it. All but one moment. The most important boss of the entire Doom franchise (at least at this moment) is a slightly improved Marauder, who was shoved into a mecha-suit and with a couple of extra HP bars. FacePalm.

CD-ActionNov 15, 2021It’s a worthy finale to Slayer’s gory odyssey, but I must admit that while Part One left me hungry for more, I was a bit tired by the end of Part Two. Still, you should definitely play it if you’re a fan of Doom. [05/2021, p.53]

May 25, 2021This underwhelming finale to the rebooted Doom saga would be limp enough when judged on its own merits, but the fact that the developers went back and screwed around with what made The Ancient Gods, Part One work so well is criminal. This expansion is more Doom Eternal, which should be a good thing, but turns out to be the weakest and most disappointing that Doom Eternal has ever been.

Apr 8, 2021DOOM Eternal The Ancient Gods Part Two is a great finale story-wise, but when it comes to gameplay it is rather disappointing. The few new enemies and mechanics feel shallow and the actual final boss fight is a flop compared to what we've gotten in Eternal and the previous installment of DOOM. So just like Doomguy, we'll patiently have to wait until we can get going again because there's an itch that needs scratching.
