    Ignore the folks who are review bombing it -- this is a great game.

    Yes, it's a visual novel with tactical RPG battles. If you don't like reading, it's ok to not play it. If you *do* like reading, though, the dialogue and story are great.

    If you don't like orange, don't order orange juice. This is a visual novel, which is a pretty niche genre. If loads of dialogue annoy you, this game simply isn't for you.
    However, if you enjoy Digimon and a pretty good story with (some) decent characters, take it. It's an amazing visual novel and an amazing Digimon game.

    Great comeback of digimon after so long without a game, the game has gorgeous menu design and a good battle system. The VN part of the game at the start can be slow but its more interesting with time.
    Dont recommend it if you arent a fan of VN tho

    Great game. It was correctly advertised as a vn, and i bought it knowing that, because i greatly enjoy them and it's a very well made one.

    I would give it 7.5 (maybe a bit more).
    The 10 is to compensate those who vote 0 because "It's a VN". Honestly...the developers said 1 MILLION TIMES that this game was 75% VN and 25% SRPG, so if you don't like VN, why buy it??? Anyway...the story is good (with a couple of translation errors and some cheesy dialogue here and there), and i really liked the dark tone in    This is not a 10.
    I would give it 7.5 (maybe a bit more).

    This is a fun visual novel with engaging rts elements. All in all I'd say it does everything it set out to do.

    Great visual novel with an affinity and karma aspect. The combats are nice,not great, but its a breeze of fresh air from the VN gameplay.
    Dont review bomb it just cause you didnt knew what you were buying.

    After finish the Game (now NG+) I think its a really good Game, and have a lovely and nice Story. I think the Game dont deserve that low Score, guess its review Bombing again lmao. Anyway, the Story is really good and gave me all the Time the feeling of enjoying a good Anime/Movie. So the Atmosphere is really nice, i enjoy it alot. The Combat, is fine. I think its enjoyable.

    Game is great. Fun srpg-style battle system and a surprisingly mature, well-told story with likeable characters. A few lol-worthy reviews saying that they think this game has too much dialogue when it’s been advertised as largely a visual novel for a huge portion of development. Yes the visual novel has a lot of words.

    I like it, They say the game was like 70% visual novel since the first announcement and the story is fantastic, it's not a 10/10 because I found some minor text issues but nothing too wrong.
    If you like Devil Survivor and Digimon you should play it

    Digimon survive is a great mix of a visual novel with a tactical rpg it is a story about survival and features memorable characters charming Digimon great gameplay and it's just a shame some people don't understand what it is and it's getting review bombed

    The game is great, ignore the negative reviews. They are made by people who clearly dislike reading. This is a visual novel so of course it's going to be text heavy, and that is a good thing since the story is one of the best aspects of Digimon Survive.

    Digimon Survive is a Isakai Horror Mystery Visual Novel Fire Emblem monster collection game that is definitely not for young children with choices that lead to a branching story like until Dawn. You will love some characters amd hate others as you try to survive in this crazy and gritty world where Characters can die or be driven insane inside a world that os of a mix of the upside down inDigimon Survive is a Isakai Horror Mystery Visual Novel Fire Emblem monster collection game that is definitely not for young children with choices that lead to a branching story like until Dawn. I find myself trying to hurry thru gameplay sometimes so i can get back to the story amd see what happens next. In my opinion it's atleast a solid 9.5 but imma give it a 10 to help offset all those 0 that this game doesn't deserve.… Expand

    Great game. Not usually a fan of visual novels but as this is digimon I had to give it a try. Excellent combat system and the evolution system is so fun!

    A really good game,I'm not a huge fan of TRPG and VNs,but this game does a good job in both categories,I'm huge digimon fan,and if you are one too,try this game.

    This game is more like the Animes and an amazing comeback for the series!

    This is my favorite recent Digimon game so far. It is in a visual novel format, and it works so well with the story and world they've designed. You unlock free battle pretty early on so you aren't dependent on story beats to get a battle fix in, and it has a pretty well-done auto battle system for when you want to grind but not be fully alert.

    This game has a great story and when the battles do come up they're a lot of fun. It's a lot of reading and narrative mostly, but it's all done very well.

    I don't want to make a very big text, but I'm really repressed with so many negative reviews, I'd even say it's just one person with multiple accounts.
    The biggest complaints come from the fact that the game is a soap opera, but the company made it clear that it would be and complaining is lack of attention before buying or watching trailers.

    As a novels player, I'm passionate about the plot of this game, sometimes I don't even want to play the gameplay because of the plot, I've played countless novels and this game has a affection and is so well made that for me this game is a 10, it would be a triple A novel in my opinion.     Great game, a compelling story and a solid tactical combat system. Yes, it's a Visual Novel, as they said a hundred times and, if you don't like it, well, go play another game. But if you give Digimon Survive a chance, you'll find a great game.

    This is an excellent return of Digimon to gaming in the world and while some may feel the Visual Novel aspect overshadows the game play, I feel it is a good balance between the two styles. A melding of visual novel storytelling and tactical RPG battling.

    If you're here because you are considering buying this game, watch the trailers, read the reviews on Steam and perhaps catch a YouTube    This is an excellent return of Digimon to gaming in the world and while some may feel the Visual Novel aspect overshadows the game play, I feel it is a good balance between the two styles.     It's really Sad to see this people giving 0 score just because it's visual novel, the creator always said it'll be a visual novel and the conversation is the strong point of the game, narrative is the game and is good

    Es un juego claramente para fans de videojuegos mas narrativos y tácticos como un Fire Emblem o Mutan Year Zero, o para fans de la franquicia de Digimon que esperaban algún producto con una historia que realmente valga la pena, realmente recomendado.

    Digimon Survive is an exciting alternate take on the tone and style of the Digimon series. It doesn't execute things flawlessly - those opening chapters are a bit of a chore and the tactics gameplay is simple with a capital 'S'. Still, when things kick off and the story starts to come together, it's a suspenseful and gripping journey that I'm glad I got to experience.

    Blending a pure visual novel with a turn-based tactical RPG combat, Digimon Survive is one of the best surprises of this year so far despite its issues. It is held back by some localization issues, but feels great to play on PC including Steam Deck after a post-launch patch addressed most of the issues. Digimon Survive also serves as a nice entry point into the franchise for newcomers as long as you aren't turned off by the structure.

    Digimon Survive has both a well-made story and a deep combat system that will engage players through each route they may take, but the first few hours are ill-paced with long breaks away from combat.
