    Honestly for someone who has played digimon survive and fished it and also played almost all digimon games out there and watched the anime too

    This game was really good Story was interesting Gameplay was not the greatest in the world but still good and fun The darkness and creepiness was really amazing and loved it !     It was pretty bad but otherwise amazing game !!!

    Es un juego claramente para fans de videojuegos mas narrativos y tácticos como un Fire Emblem o Mutan Year Zero, o para fans de la franquicia de Digimon que esperaban algún producto con una historia que realmente valga la pena, realmente recomendado.

    An excellent Digimon game that understands what Digimon is. The evolution system is not only great from the tactical gameplay but also the story itself. You’re choices do have impact on what endings are possible and who survives. I want this to a whole new series of Digimon games

    Digimon Survive is making you revisit the story of Digimon Adventure, but with the scarier element. The 8 children are trying to survive in isekai. Powerless in a monster-home world. They can only trust in their own partners. Will they be able to survive in this Isekai?

    The only negative of this game is the tactic gameplay and music. The tactic is just your basic. Not deep enough. The    Digimon Survive is making you revisit the story of Digimon Adventure, but with the scarier element. The 8 children are trying to survive in isekai. Powerless in a monster-home world. They can only trust in their own partners. Will they be able to survive in this Isekai?

    This is exatly what i was waiting for. Touchful dramatic story that make me cry a lot. Most emotional digimon game i ever see. I can't believe that people would hate it so bad because of genre.
    Guys if you so obsessed by colleting mosters and fighting them so go play pokemon or else, Digimon are not pokemon-like games, digimon are more than just monsters and fights!     De los mejores juegos de digimon, muchos dicen que tiene mucho texto, pero es obvio, es en parte una visual novel, la historia te atrapa si le das la oportunidad, incluso a mi que no me gusta leer

    No soy nada asiduo a las novelas visuales o los rpg tácticos, pero la experiencia esta siendo agradable, personalmente al ser fan del universo de digimon no tengo problemas con procesar mucho texto, si esto al final de dia suma profundidad a la historia y los personajes yo encantado.

One would assume we would get an experience akin to Pokemon, since Digimon is an enhanced Pokemon, but the developers were too smart for that. The developers are such hard workers, they made the anime in the start a whole 5 minutes. All of the other cutscenes are also great, in a brilliant expression of this game's excellence. The story is biblical. The combat is well made and brilliantly designed. The graphics made me cry due to their beauty when I first saw them. It looks better than a handcrafted painting from Leonardo Da Vinci. The physics are beyond lifelike.

    There is no multiplayer. That is not a problem, because the replay value of this game more than makes up for it. Another great quality of this game is that, all of the characters speak in their original Japanese voice actors, and yet the devs still only charged 60 dollars for this art piece. This incredible generosity enlightens me. I recommend this game to all my friends, family, and more.    … Expand

    Its a VN first and tactics game as a distant second. If you don't like that then just ignore, if you do like it you have 4 paths to get lost in depending on choices and a decent cast to get invested in. The game plays out almost as an interactive anime. Only complaint is I wish there were more options for what digimon you could get at the start (ie. have an initial set of options thatIts a VN first and tactics game as a distant second.     Cried in 5 minutes, cried in an hour, cried a lot - Mission accomplished Bandai Namco! This is hands down the best Digimon game on the market and absolutely hope they continue this mature route. For a text based adventure there were parts that were generally scary. And I love the replay value it's set up similarly to Undertale imo given the fact that you can't do everything in oneCried in 5 minutes, cried in an hour, cried a lot - Mission accomplished Bandai Namco!     I haven't been this excited to play a Digimon game in a long time. I understand the visual novel aspect can be an adjustment for someone who isn't used to it, but I've found the story and gameplay to be fantastic. I've been waiting to get off work to play this game every day.

    Amazing game. A wonderful time sink of emotional story telling, choices to make, engaging battle tactics and digimon collecting. Highly recommended to purchase if you’re a fan of visual novels and/or strategic battle games. Support Digimon!

    Tra le migliori visual novel mai giocate, con finali multipli e avanzamento della storia in base alle scelte che si fanno. Il gioco mi lascia inchiodato per ore, anche per il fatto che dopo secoli hanno fatto un gioco dei digimon in italiano. Meccanica dei combattimenti ben progettata, con la possibilità di farsi amici i digimon avversari.

It is a very good game in absolutely everything it sets out to do. It's not perfect, because nothing ever is. But the care that this is to the liking of the public to which it is directed (Fans of Digimon, Tactical RPGs and VN) is noticeable.,
    I can not recommend this game more. You have to play it.
    And yes, the price in my opinion is excessive. But aside from that, Survive has one of the best Digimon stories and there's no reason why you should miss it.    … Expand

    Es cierto que la historia posee un comienzo lento, por eso mi consejo es que la abordes como una serie de anime, de la cual tú, eres participe, ya que serán tus decisiones las que decidirán el destino de estos niños elegidos, si al igual que yo creciste con la serie DIGIMON, así como con sus video juegos, en las diversas plataformas y mangas, puedo decir sin miedo a equivocarme que este,Es cierto que la historia posee un comienzo lento, por eso mi consejo es que la abordes como una serie de anime, de la cual tú, eres participe, ya que serán tus decisiones las que decidirán el destino de estos niños elegidos, si al igual que yo creciste con la serie DIGIMON, así como con sus video juegos, en las diversas plataformas y mangas, puedo decir sin miedo a equivocarme que este, es uno de sus mejores títulos, posea una excelente narrativa, así como una gran banda sonora, pues si se lo permites llegaras a sentirte identificado con alguno de sus protagonistas, lograra sumergirte en su historia de manera que no llegarías a imaginar, debido a que aborda temas de la vida real, que pocos video juegos de este tipo se atreverían, es el primer video juego de la saga que no te muestra un mundo de fantasía, con nubes de azúcar y lluvia de dulces, si no la realidad a través de los ojos de sus protagonista, cada uno de ellos lidiando con el echo de encontrarse perdidos en medio de un mundo totalmente desconocido, con personas desconocidas, es claro que mucha gente critica el echo de que este juego sea una NOVELA VISUAL, MEZCLADA CON UN SISTEMA DE ROL TÁCTICO, en estas palabras radica el error de las personas, lo que este título busca es un nuevo inicio, abrir un nuevo mundo para los video juegos de DIGIMON, que se estancaron, no te prives de un gran título.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Very dark, story focused game, with tactical RPG elements on the side. The prologue and even first few parts are kind of a slog, but once you get to part 3, the writing really picks up. The best way I can summarize it is if the OG digimon anime was made for a more mature audience, as it has the almost exact same set-up, (7-8 kids at a summer camp get teleported to the digital world, and while trying to survive and go back home they learn they need to save the world) just with much darker themes and events. Characters all seem decently fleshed out, although some more than others, especially in certain playthroughs. Music is good, but can get repetitive after the nth time hearing it. Karma system, while not deep, is simple to grasp; both how to use, and how it affects the story/gameplay. The twists in the story actually surprised me, particularly in the wrathful route, although I won't say how or why. If all you want is a game like Cybersleuth, don't get this. The Tactical gameplay isn't very deep if you don't want it to be, but you can definitely use the tools the game gives you in creative ways, especially the in battle digivolution, which I feel is the best part about the combat. If you don't like to get invested into characters, and read lots of additional and/or forced dialogue just for the fun of it, it probably isn't for you. This game seems like a completionists nightmare or wet dream, depending on how you look at it, as after almost every story beat you can look around and find items, extra battles, extra dialogue, etc. I was on the fence about getting this, as I had really enjoyed Cybersleuth (700 odd hours on it), and did not want a visual novel over an RPG game. I was very suprised however, and found myself enjoying the visual novel much more than the RPG, even though I also found that to be fun.

    TLDR; Story heavy game with decently well thought out RPG mechanics; Would recommend to any digimon fan, but if you really hate reading it might not be your thing.    … Expand

It does a wonderful job of blending multiple mechanics in a way that is unique and helps drive the story forward. This game is absolutely amazing in the way it takes choice based story telling to a new level with their combat system. If you enjoy a game with a deep enriching story that you can playDigimon Survive is a wonderful blend of visual novel, tactical rpg, and mystery games. It does a wonderful job of blending multiple mechanics in a way that is unique and helps drive the story forward. This game is absolutely amazing in the way it takes choice based story telling to a new level with their combat system. If you enjoy a game with a deep enriching story that you can play through multiple times, this is the game for you! The mechanics of the game are easy to learn too, so anyone can get into it, even if you’ve never played a game like it before. This game is everything they told us it would be, no real surprises for anyone following the news, which is good. The game is quite fun and a great read/play.… Expand

The visual novel format really fits the themes of Digimon, and the sort of Mass Effect like mechanics for morality and companion relationships really fit well.

    This is an amazing survival game with aspects of strategy combat included. I love how the decisions I make feel like they're making a real impact on the world. The wait for the game was worth it

    The story is great. Love the Bioware-esque consequence system. People complaining about genre should just go back and play that kind of game if that's what they're looking for.

    Dont listen to the review bombs. They are upset about it not matching the earliest marketing concept statements (kind of). If you've paid any attention to the game closer to release you would know it is a visual novel with battles and if you bought it without knowing that, it is very much you're own fault for not looking into what you are buying as it was very easy to find info.     Digimon Survive is an exciting alternate take on the tone and style of the Digimon series. It doesn't execute things flawlessly - those opening chapters are a bit of a chore and the tactics gameplay is simple with a capital 'S'. Still, when things kick off and the story starts to come together, it's a suspenseful and gripping journey that I'm glad I got to experience.

    Blending a pure visual novel with a turn-based tactical RPG combat, Digimon Survive is one of the best surprises of this year so far despite its issues. It is held back by some localization issues, but feels great to play on PC including Steam Deck after a post-launch patch addressed most of the issues. Digimon Survive also serves as a nice entry point into the franchise for newcomers as long as you aren't turned off by the structure.
