    As I’ve previously mentioned, Diablo IV is a blast to play. I like the much darker overall vibe than Diablo III and the unrelenting brutal storyline throughout. The variety of class builds and how Diablo IV unfolds the complexity over time helps new players get into it and delivers variation and fun for veterans. Additionally, as I mentioned in my previous Review in Progress, Diablo IV is a game that respects the player’s time and doesn’t ask us to do the same things over on all characters unless we want to. The main negative currently is server instability. Generally, that hasn’t been a huge problem, but it pops up regularly and can be a particular problem while playing a hardcore character. That said, I’ve been having a blast in Sanctuary and don’t see any sign of wanting to take a break from it, which is abnormal for Diablo games and me. Generally, I play the main campaign once, and I’m done playing until there’s a new story to play. I’m already thinking about what’s next for me in Diablo IV.

    Diablo IV is an unquestionable win for Blizzard and one of their foundational franchises when it needed it most. An unrelenting commitment to vision, redefined Sanctuary, never-ending player progression, and excellent boss fights are just a few of the reasons Diablo IV isn't held back by uneven pacing and recycled content.

    With Diablo IV, Blizzard opens the gates of Hell to all players, from the most casual ones to the most hardcore. Being impossible to please them both at the same time, the former risk hitting a wall when they reach the endgame, while the latter may not find the challenge interesting enough. Still, Diablo IV is a highly recommendable experience for all players, with a solid, addictive foundation and a tremendous potential to evolve in the coming seasons, especially when played with friends.

    But despite the rewarding interplay between various stats and buffs, and the laudable sensation that, even very early on, you have access to the sort of freedom in character and combat customisation that’s typically locked away for hours in similar games, Diablo 4 feels … toylike. Strip away the hellish screams and scarily convincing Halloween costumes, and what’s left is the video game equivalent of hyper-palatable junk food, albeit with myriad colourful warnings on the packaging.

    But Gameplay is the most important. As it feels smooth to H&S around - all the balance, builds, skills, paragons, right and wrong way to play. All the progress you can make, all the stuff in end game - all those things are unbalanced and have no proper thought put it. Game with such bad design shouldn't cost as much as it costs.    … Expand

Then they "conveniently" decide to host a fireside chat in response to backlash, but only AFTER Season 1 launch so they can see how much they can get away with.

    I get that companies exist to make money... sell the game, great. Sell seasons, fine. But this blatant manipulation to keep players locked in AFTER they have progressed, found gear, and become used to and are enjoying a certain type of play... total garbage from a garbage company. I'm only one person, but clearly one of many. Uninstalled, and they will never get another cent from me.    … Expand

One of the worse horse/travel implementations of any game to date, gets hung up on every bit of terrain possible and you can't engage the spur ability until you are so far out of town it is comical.
    The build system is horrible, you basically play the same skills from level 25 on and it gets old an tired quickly. The leveling system makes sure you never feel as powerful as you were when you were low level. Just absolute garbage from people who should have known better.    … Expand

Now after the patch with damage nerf, survivability nerf, XP hugely nerfed i spent 2 hour and baeely leveled 3/4 of a level and died over a total of 16 times when i used to rarely die.… Expand
