    Boo hoo to all those who seem to think you deserve games just for you. I've played games since a young guy and Diablo 4 is easily the best Diablo games to date. Excellent graphics and near perfect gameplay. No bugs, no errors, no lag, no queues ... seriously, what do people want??????? At absolute worst, you shouldn't be voting less than a 5 out of 10, but to all the 0 reviewers out there,Boo hoo to all those who seem to think you deserve games just for you.     Absolute masterpiece. I've played every Blizzard game since Warcraft II (besides Overwatch) religiously and this is their greatest entry. Bravo, bravo.

    The gameplay is smooth as butter, the itemization is polished to a diamond, and the story brought me to tears. It takes the best of each of its predecessors and refines the gameplay systems to near perfection. The tone and atmosphere    Absolute masterpiece.     The tone and atmosphere are everything one loves about Diablo I and II with a modern graphical varnish that shines (burns?) with the best of them. Each story beat has a grim bit impactful emotional hook that brings characters to life (and death) like no other Blizzard narrative has. You question your own character's decisions, even while agreeing they are the best viable option. Even the side quests had me locked into the lore, with compelling characters and interesting plotlines.

    The complexity is immense but is rolled out in such a way that each new layer is learnable without the need for external guides. In other ARPGs I find item comparison to be tedious and often not viscerally impactful. In Diablo IV, you will be compelled to try a new build with just about every new Legendary aspect and Unique you find. The subclasses are distinct yet optionally intertwined, allowing for countless different approaches to slaying the demons that plague Sanctuary.

    I've already put hundreds of hours into this game and my excitement continues to build. I imagine I will be playing this game for many years. Don't miss it!    … Expand

    The huge amount of free whine and cheese helped me save some money for the ultimate edition, thanks!

    Seriously, I'm having a blast. For a fresh release it's in a great state and an awesome foundation. Was very sceptical since Blizz made more than one bad decision in the last years, but this is a good direction.     It was a pretty good foundation on release, sure it had a fair share of issues (missing endgame, janky horse, sorc, no loot filters, no search function, limited stash space, costly enchanting, weak uniques), but overall I enjoyed the 1-75 experience, while 75-100 was a waste of time.

    Then patch 1.1 hits, nerfs all the classes across the board, heavily nerfs defense, buries sorcerer 10    It was a pretty good foundation on release, sure it had a fair share of issues (missing endgame, janky horse, sorc, no loot filters, no search function, limited stash space, costly enchanting, weak uniques), but overall I enjoyed the 1-75 experience, while 75-100 was a waste of time.

    Then patch 1.1 hits, nerfs all the classes across the board, heavily nerfs defense, buries sorcerer 10 feet under the ground, all while not fixing any of the main issues in the game. And the glorified Season 1 brings only a handful of garbage gems (which also come at the cost of reducing your defense).    … Expand

Yes, this game is better than Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, and Hearthstone. I am leaving out remasters and expansions.     An absolute blast to play with friends!! So exciting to be back in Sanctuary tearing it up and having a hell of a time.

    Game looks great, and the launch was very stable and smooth. Way to go team!

    Leaderboards: Should have been in at launch, they have already confirmed they will be ready for later seasons but this seems like an sad oversight.

    Road map: I think that they should have given us the road map for season 1 and 2 at launch. Just look at the silly review bombing that is happening here, it could be 100% discounted if we had a road map the showed exactly what each season's main content would be.

    Over-world travel on the mount: The mount itself is just not a fluid as I would like. Stuttering, and rubber-banding on the mount is just frustrating.

    Now for what I love.

    The gameplay for each class is INCREDIBLE. Fluid, visceral, varied and just a damn good time. You find yourself going from event to event in the overworld just because of how much fun it is to wade through the monsters with your classes chosen kit.

    The story is, perhaps, the best they have ever created. The side quests are utterly enthralling. You will be doing some dumb fetch quest that leads to you questioning how you're raising your kids. Am I as supportive of a father as I think I am? These thoughts have gone through my head multiple times and more while doing SIDE QUESTS!

    If the $70 price is too much for you you will not have to wait long for a sale, Blizzard puts games on sale mere months after they come out. Please do yourself a favor and ignore the hate, ignore the store, and just give this game a chance. I promise it will not disappoint.    … Expand

    This is a fun Diablo game. Simple addictive Action RPG with lots to do in a HUGE world. 5 interesting characters that all play well and are fun to build. It's online but I feel like I can play it solo with no issues. World boss appears, just go and fight it, other people are there - no looking for group or setting up a party, or loot management, just go smack on the big boss and getThis is a fun Diablo game.     I didn’t expect much and didn’t even follow the hype because Diablo 3 was not my cup of tea… it was ok. I bought it and i was surprised and hooked up from the start. Great interface, sound, gameplay and artstyle. I only had one problem when login servers went down and performance is good. Steady FPS, just a few spikes when entering different areas. Blizzard did a great job and i enjoy it.I didn’t expect much and didn’t even follow the hype because Diablo 3 was not my cup of tea… it was ok.     Arpg of the era. Absolutely amazing attention to details. From gameplay, high end builds, to visuals, music and voice over, this should be the new standard of AAAA.

    I didn't expect it to be good, but I liked it very much. Diablo 2 resurrected still the best for me, but this one is second best diablo. Thank you blizzard, just typing this review to support your work. I am sure you will make it, don't listen to haters.

    Pros - Difficulty is good. Never feel op like in D3. This isn't Diablo arcade mode like the previous entry. - Gorgeous graphics and locations. - Story is awesome - Skill tree and paragons requires you to think. Cons - Dungeons feels repetitive - Certains endgames activities need a buff to rewards. Whispers and helltides are fun    The game isn't perfect for sure but doesn't deserve a 0.

    Best in the series so far, been a long time Diablo player since the first one. Amazing how the game has evolved. The 3rd one was my least favorite, the 4th the best one IMO. Playing this on an OLED with Atmos and 4k120 is absolutely amazing. Kudos to the sound, music teams. Of course the visuals are a top notch too, this time much darker than the predecessor.     This is easily a 10 out of 10 for me. Blizzard once again as a master of their craft managed to disguise a mediocre indie game into aaa and made people pay a premium price for it (and it pulls this off in the last 15 years). This is an impressive achievement considering that this pattern hasn't got any major update through the years but people still falling for it!!     I like it better than all the other Diablo games. Better story, longer more in depth characters, some emotion. I appreciated it all.

    If I HAD to be critical, it's the notion that I'd have to make a new character for seasons. But so far, I've had a great time with it. I'm happy I picked it up.

    I’ve just finished the campaign and done a bit of farming to get to level 51.
    -Story - really enjoyed the story for D4 especially act 2 and act 6, there were moments in between that was just filled in with busy work but overall the best Diablo story they’ve ever done -Graphics - Graphics are fantastic    it’s genuinely one of the best and most complete triple A releases in half a decade.

    -Graphics - Graphics are fantastic and very smooth playing on a high end PC, there is very little that feels unique compared with previous Diablo games but the colour tone and lighting really set it apart.
    - Sound - truly the best part of the game the atmosphere created by the audio and music score is insanely good, skill audio feels impactful and the voice acting is generally really good Z

Get over yourself kids, the majority doesn't give a sh*t about patch notes, and something getting "nerfed" is not the end of the world, grow up. Along those lines I find it funny when a "nerf" happens, people whine, but then realize there build is fine, if not still really good. It's obvious that the game has content ready for the next several years and I for one look forward to playing each season till I get bored, move on to something else, and then come back for the next season. Appreciate the work of all the Diablo team members, you knocked it out the park.

    Combat - Easily best in the series and of any arpg on the market today. Combat feels great, attacks almost have a weight to them, and it makes the repetition satisfying. I also like that combat is somewhat slowed down (depending on the build).

    World Design - Back to OG diablo with a dark setting. I love the world map with the random events and dungeons. Looking forward to what will be added in the future.

    Campaign - Great story. I agree there was a little filler around Acts 4 and 5, but overall satisfying story that kept me engaged, and now I want to see what's happening next.

    Sound - Not much to say other than awesome.

    Systems - Skills system and paragon tree is the perfect balance between robust but simplistic enough that any arpg enthusiast can understand how to craft their build. No 3rd party apps needed here.

    Endgame - For the first month of this live service game that planned early on to have seasons and introduce new systems with each season. I think the end game was fine. I imagine each season will continually add new "Uber" bosses and things to do. I find it interesting that the core gameplay loop of Arpgs has not changed in years, but all the newbies cry....."It's boring, you do the same thing".....no sh*t. Its an arpg.

    Cons (Although since this is a live service game, potential to be patched)

    - While I applaud making gear only take up one grid square, I am finding my stash space and mules inventory quickly filling up. I would love to see additional stash spaces.

    - Would love to see a loot filter

    - The CC at high NM Dungeon Tiers can get a little frustrating, depending on the elite you get, maybe diminishing returns on constant cc?

    i completed diablo 1 countless times and think diablo 4 is the best since diablo 1. However i have a problem i want to see and complete an entire area before moving on to the next. So I'm level 36 before I moved on to act II and there was still a lot of content I need to go back to

    The design and direction of the game deserve a ton of praise! Smooth launch, loving the world, the stories, the combat, the loot. This is a hit. Excited to see how this game evolves but this has launched perfectly!

    I love it. OST is god like, nemesis butcher the best boss in the history of video games. Im a Druid fan, i have played with all builds and love the gameplay, build variations and love the combat system. Put tier 100 down and i'm going for Lilith uber boss. Varshan is kids playground, die too easy. I hope the next seasons bring more content for the game, because this is amazing Diablo gameI love it.     It's an amazingly good thought out game. The current price of games has nothing to do with the review of the quality of the game. If you liked diablo 2, you will most definitely like diablo 4. It is also catered more towards people with less available playtime, with a lot of progression systems, all along the way to level 100.     Im old, played Diablo 1 to death when in my teens, enjoyed Diablo 2 and somewhat appreciated Diablo 3. Now, Diablo 4 is something else: a true gothic masterpiece (on the art side) with absolutely solid gameplay and the best UI job I have ever seen on a PC game.

    I've gotten a lot of value and fun out of this game, and sunk a ton of hours into it after the short time I've owned it. Despite me not being interested, the campaign actually was memorable. The leveling system and the sheer amount of things to do keeps me coming back. If I get bored with an already immersive end game I can start another character and enjoy the grind all over again. Story is 11/10 - full gas from start to finish with no bloopers in between. Map is absolutely MASSIVE, with a tonne of side content to clear whenever you feel like taking a break from main story.     Waited a long time for Blizzard to release the 4th installment to the Diablo series. Blizzard did a great job and I'm loving the game and cant wait to see what else is still to come. Wasn't thrilled about paying early to play early and having login issues but they were resolved quickly.

But let's back to graphic part art style light system, physics all this on high level, all elements of your character gear and also character himself look great. Probably it's a reason why camera in this game closer to character compare to another arpg games, to make player ability to see how new unique looks on his lvl 50 barbarian or so on. The sound part is another nice aspect of the game: you can hear not only ambient music, but also the sound of your character's ax piercing the enemy's flesh or the crunch of a broken barrel. The final part is plot and here game tells a story not about the confrontation between angels and demons, but about ordinary people who are sandwiched between this confrontation and try to survive. As i said the whole story showed by many cutscenes but here some minus that probably can notice only owners of 21:9 monitors - some of the videos are adapted for this aspect ratio (probably 30% of all ) some not. No any regularity are presented in this problem because one game engine cutscene can be in 21:9 ratio and next one 16:9 same thing with pre rendered videos, kinda strange. That a big surprise that this problem and some minor bugs are only minus of this game and ones again it's blizzard game (they could not help but screw up, but this time everything is fine). In conclusion, to whom will I recommend this game? I really don't know, because so many arpg lovers have already played this game and many people who have never played this genre but if you, by some strange coincidence, have not played this game, try it (wait for the sale if that's important to you) this game extrimly user friendly so you probably will enjoy it.… Expand

    I am now lvl 72, reaching endgame. I already tried a "meta" build but i swap to another on my rogue based on a bow and it works! It seems that you can really do stuff with a little bit of brain, time, compo and gold. Great game, great H&S, feeling in the game are INSANE.

    By far the best game in the series! Not only did they improve everything from Diablo 3, but they added an MMO element that pushes the game over the top. The combat is SIGNIFICANTLY better, the leveling system is SIGNIFICANTLY better, the story is EPIC, the dialogue is EXCELLENT, and it is a BLAST to play with friends.

I don't have a log of the hours that I spent on Diablo 2, but given that I played it consistently for five years, and then on and off for the following fifteen years, I'm willing to bet its well over a thousand hours. Similarly, I invested hundreds upon hundreds of hours into Diablo 3 across multiple platforms. In addition to those, IThis is a review from a long time fan of the series. I don't have a log of the hours that I spent on Diablo 2, but given that I played it consistently for five years, and then on and off for the following fifteen years, I'm willing to bet its well over a thousand hours. Similarly, I invested hundreds upon hundreds of hours into Diablo 3 across multiple platforms. In addition to those, I messed around with several of the Diablo clones over the years - Path of Exile, Torchlight, Titan Quest, among many others. Needless to say, I was beyond excited for Diablo 4. I purchased it on PC and on PS5 to do couch coop with my wife.

    I am a Diablo 2 purist, no matter what the series does, I think that is a timeless formula, so I am always a little rough to accept change in the series, even if it takes it in the right direction. Diablo 4 really takes the series to new heights while keeping the same core dungeon crawling, loot hunting, monster slaying concepts. The open world feels very appropriate for the Diablo series without steering off into other MMORPG territories. It keeps the same spirit of the series but it makes the world feel so much more alive. It is difficult to put into words but it is something that you absolutely have to experience for yourself. The world itself is static which is completely new for the series, but all of the dungeons are procedurally generated like you would expect, and it executes it very well. Blizzard made everything feel much deeper than ever before, and they executed it perfectly. I feel almost as if Diablo 3 tried to add this layer of depth, but they needed to test their foundation over a decade to make it work this fluidly. I also like the connectivity with other players - you'll find them in town, you'll randomly come across other players doing an event that you'll link up with for 5 minutes and head your separate ways. It's very nonintrusive and totally adds to the experience.

    The character skills development, and overall depth to the gameplay is all there - the more you play, the more you realize how complex the character building really is. Once you think you have it under control, it just adds more and more depth and complexity to it. Its the most fleshed out Diablo experience without a doubt. The great part about it is that you can play it how you wish. The complexity is there if you really want to get sweaty with the game, but there is so much content that even casual players can fully immerse themselves with as much as they feel comfortable with. I really enjoyed playing this with my wife because she largely does not play any videogames, but I managed to hook her with Diablo 3 many years ago. Its complex enough for me to be able to really get into the stats and builds, but straight forward enough where she can create and customize her character on a far more casual level, yet we can play on the same couch and love it the same.

    The graphics are fantastic, although sometimes the textures look a little too shiny and wet, and some of the character models in the cutscenes look like clay and a bit out of place, but overall the graphics are fantastic. The music is amazing and very well composed, or perfectly ambient. The story overall is excellent for a Diablo game, but the world building and lore is where its at. There is a ton to dig into if you are wanting to learn more about the world of Diablo, something that the series was always lacking. Most importantly, the world has that gothic art style that was present in Diablo 2, and not the oddly colorful art style of Diablo 3.

    Overall, nobody does ARPGs better than Diablo. Nobody. This feels like all of the growth that Diablo 3 experienced and all of their trials and errors are fully realized into this game. I'm still a Diablo 2 purist, they did everything perfect with that game. But if I want to play Diablo 2, I'll play Diablo 2. This was an absolutely necessary step for the franchise and it makes the growing period from Diablo 3 completely worth it.    … Expand

The people writing negative reviews have clearly never played a Diablo game before, complaining that once you beat the story it's just more of the same, grinding for better gear.     A worthy successor. It looks great, gameplay is excellent and the monetization is only for skins.
    Standard skins already looks amazing so no need to buy. Characters feel balanced and all have their own play style. Finally a AAA game worthy of my money. You wont regret buying this game!

    Game of the year. It's an online game - of course bugs are going to occur. No more power leveling - just good ole grinding. The gear in the game is way nicer than the shop gear. Campaign is stellar. Blizzard at the top again. Thanks.

    This is the best Diablo game at the moment. The cutscenes in this game are the best I've seen (literally the best among all games), with awesome music, atmosphere, and so on. It took me 80 hours of gameplay for the main story and side quests with dungeons on my first playthrough. In comparison, it only took me 5 hours for the D3. Overall, I highly recommend it 7/10

    This is my PC GOTY, and honestly the best Blizzard game since SC2. It's good to see Diablo return to form with classic dungeon crawler gameplay.

    I am playing this game on PS5 and ROG Ally daily. It's perfect. This game is very steady, no lag, no server problem, an excellent campaign, an excellent OST and sound design, the graphic design and artwork is incredible !

    I am Rogue 75 and my pleasure is still there. I am a fan and casual player. I don't understand the global hatred here. what were players expecting ?     I don't understand the global hatred here. what were players expecting ? To solve all their life frustration, personal problems, to offer a sense of their empty life ? To satisfy the impossible task to please the casual and hardcore player in the same time ? They have targetted the casual KFS dad player who is likely to buy skin, and play some hours each week...

    To put a 6 or a 5, but a 0 ? It's just review bombing....

    If you want to play peacefully on the ROG Ally or PS5, it's a good game, the end game is too young to be judged, let Blizzard time to improve that, this game has been released just 1 month ago !    … Expand

    Best Diablo game since Diablo 2. Finally Blizzard made a good game after YEARS of terrible games like Diablo Immortal, Diablo 4, Overwatch 1 and 2.
    The game is excelent but lacks some polishing that hopefully will come in future patches.

    Great graphics, even better set and feel, the music and art style are amazing. Big map, great story, good gameplay, challenging and fun.

It is a return to form from the days of Diablo 2 setting aside the silliness from Diablo 3.

    The campaign is good, though it may fall short    Diablo 4, that much anticipated follow-up to Diablo 3 is a good game with great potential. The visuals and atmosphere of the world really make it feel like a place desperately attempting to hold on amidst an ongoing conflict between heaven and hell. It is a return to form from the days of Diablo 2 setting aside the silliness from Diablo 3.

    The campaign is good, though it may fall short in some places. The characters are compelling and relatable allowing you to make a good connection with them. Lillith is a great villian with obvious motivations who is twisting the world around her as people commit unspeakable acts and the lands are once more ravaged by demons. It was nice to see some returning bosses from Diablo 2 here as well.

    Gameplay and character progression is simple enough to understand and isn't bogged down by overcomplicated systems like Path of Exile for instance. The skill tree is very straight forward and legendaries add a lot to how a build plays and are, for the most part, easily accesible.

    D4 is by no means a perfect game and it has its issues, primarily QoL. These by no means make it a bad game and they will likely be addressed in future releases but it does keep the score down to an 8/10 for me personally.

    Edit: Changing to 10/10 to hopefully offset the no life neckbeards that are giving 0/10 for idiotic reasons.    … Expand

    Miles better than Diablo 3, love that it feels more RPG-like and there's so much to do. I know it'll only get better with each update

    easy, the best Diablo2 & 3 follow up, this is a game that will keep you busy for a very long time. recommended! :D

    Blizzard finally seems to find the way again. Game looks solid and gameplay is on spot. If you liked DIII than you will love this one too. I will not give 10 only because of the stupid shop with skins. If this can give a good a game without p2w **** like immortal I'm ok with that.

    I went into the diablo 4 beta expecting a lot worse of a game given the track record blizzard has had lately. But it was good enough to get me to pre-order it, I somewhat "no-lifed" it over the weekend. And beat the campaign and have done some end game content. And this game has begun to restore my faith in blizzard as a gaming company. It give me nostalgic feels back to play D3, D2 andI went into the diablo 4 beta expecting a lot worse of a game given the track record blizzard has had lately. It give me nostalgic feels back to play D3, D2 and even some part D1, in some aspects if also reminds me a little bit of WoW, I see myself continuing to play this game for quite some time, sure there are a few bugs,tweaks and Quality Of Life changes that could be made, but the game just came out, give it a little time. Overall a absolutely stunning game visually and musically, the combat feels nice, if see challenging, but not dark souls hard. 8/10 would recommend this game to anyone who has enjoyed the other diablo games in the franchise.

    -Side note, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE GOD DONT ADD ANYTHING MORE THAN COSMETIC MICROTRANSACTIONS EVER!!!! it will destroy the game and my trust in Blizzard forever.

    QoL- seperate area in inventory to keep gems
    Also either move the Stash close to Waypoints or expand inventory to carry more item, the amount of going back to town and then running across the town can get annoying once you start doing nightmare dungeons and endgame stuff.

    Update: I gave it a 8 out of 10, but changed it to 10 out of 10 to balance out all these whiny snowflakes, who have not taken time to understand the game and appreciate all the good parts of it. Yes there is some bad, but I feel like the good parts outweigh them.    … Expand

    While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
