    The game starts off as a surprise. It's a decent mobile attempt at diablo. The quests, graphics and sound are all impressive. What blizzard though has done has thrown salt in the wounds of all Diablo fans. This isn't diablo. This is another imitation. What it does is scam people, mainly kids into a money pit. I'm putting a stand against companies like this. I am sad to say blizzard has joined the scam ring and doing their fan base dirty. Good game. Horrible practice. More and more countries should join in to stop companies from allowing casino games like this to trick kids and people into selling their soul for a "chance" to maybe have an "option" for possibility for some good gear. If blizzard does this with Diablo 4. It will be the last game I ever buy from blizzard and I've been buying games from the beginning. First you treat your staff horribly. Now the player base. I know now they seem to not care as the profits from all the microtransactions may make up for it. But if enough people turn their heads and show them it's wrong. Hopefully companies will jus try to make great games again and not casino games.… Expand

    This game is designed to make free-to-play gamers feel inferior. If you dont want to pay a thousand to ten thousand dollars to win, do not play this game. Any free-to-play player has no chance of competing even if it is putting months of gameplay ahead of the payers players

    Regrettably, again I have been let down by the Diablo franchise. As a 90's baby, I grew up enthralled by the concepts of the original Diablo and the subsequent D2. It was D3 where things started going wrong. For myself, D3 just turned me right off, still bought it but regrettably so. In immortal, I went in thinking ok, $50 should be more than enough to get me going on a solid path, get meRegrettably, again I have been let down by the Diablo franchise. As a 90's baby, I grew up enthralled by the concepts of the original Diablo and the subsequent D2. It was D3 where things started going wrong. For myself, D3 just turned me right off, still bought it but regrettably so. In immortal, I went in thinking ok, $50 should be more than enough to get me going on a solid path, get me those top-tier items, get me going properly. I was sadly mistaken. Blizzard is consumed by greed. Eternal Legendary Crest is unavailable to free-to-play players and that's absurd. How they create such similar crests in such a dishonest way is gross. The level of micro transactions and paywalls makes me want to vomit and terrifies me for the future of my child. At first, everything seemed fine, until I got to level 30-60, and Paragon level 5. That's when you really start realizing how much time you are wasting on a game you can never win without spending thousands of dollars or your entire life. Very, very, unhappy. Lawmakers need to ban this kind of crap.

    It's not about the game anymore or providing an amazing experience to people like you and me, giving us an adventure, a digital getaway.

    I would have happily paid for this game if it was not free to play. The core gameplay feels absolutely fantastic. It feels and looks exactly like Diablo. The Monetization for this game is so incredibly predatory that it makes me want to just uninstall the game entirely. Being a mobile game and "normal" across the mobile game genre doesn't mean that it's suddenly not okay. Just becauseI would have happily paid for this game if it was not free to play. The core gameplay feels absolutely fantastic. It feels and looks exactly like Diablo. The Monetization for this game is so incredibly predatory that it makes me want to just uninstall the game entirely. Being a mobile game and "normal" across the mobile game genre doesn't mean that it's suddenly not okay. Just because something has been normalized doesn't mean it should be ignored. This game does everything in it's power to stop free to play players from being able to make progress. From the huge disparity of Legendary crests, the staggering amount of caps on activities in the game that are never mentioned, the Paragon gating, the EXP Penalties, etc. If you are prone to spending money to "speed up" your gameplay in this game, it will drain you until you have nothing left. If you’re strictly a F2P player, you will find yourself never reaching the power of this who spend their money. This is evil.     Blizzard and NetEast have put their heads together for the past 4 years, but sadly have developed a heavily stripped down husk of Diablo 3. The game fails to expand on the story, develop its characters or add to the world building of the Diablo series. While the lack of innovation or depth to game design and mechanics can be forgiven due to mobile limitations, the most egregious sin is the adoption of freemium monetization. This, by far, has been the worst aspect of Diablo's mobile development as it is a poor value proposition for players on PC. The contrived time gating of progress creates a loop of unrewarding gameplay, and spotlights the glaring lack of player agency and choice in Diablo Immortal.    … Expand

    Pay to win. Waste of time. Gambling system and loot boxes with value of 800% to hook you up into the game to spend more and more money. And also 3 battle passes and hiden progresionwalls that is ridiculous. Thats not like Guy's dont you have aphones ? Thats sound more like Guy's dont you have a money ? :)

    You will hit the paywall, swiftly, and you will never be able to log on and play without looking at the bundles and knowing that someone willing to whip out the wallet will advance exponentially faster than you.

    And then they'll tear you apart on the battlegrounds and rip your soul out through your back end.

    These monetization models are getting out of hand and unfortunately governmental regulation is the only way to go. For anyone considering putting money into this: Please do not. There are dozens other fun games out there that respect your wallet and time.

This has been going on for way too long and I'm glad that Blizzard decided to do something so egregious that it will now be on the forefront and hopefully action will come from this. I created this Metacritic account just to write this. Thank you for producing a game that offers no opportunity for entertainment for those who want to play a game that is competitive in nature, but don't have thousands of dollars to be competitive... thousands of dollars, no skills, dollars. Those who really want to put forth the time to try and keep up the whales will be stuck behind paywalls and throttling set up by the developer to punish anyone whose only options are due to monetary status is to try to keep up by playing but even that isn't an option.     I made an account to rate this game. I never played the game and cancelled the installation when I saw the first Youtube video explaining what to expect to spend in cash to have a chance at the endgame.

    I played every Diablo games before this one and grew up with D2. I wish this game never existed because it only destroyed my hype for D4. **** you Blizzard.

    Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.

    Diablo Immortal seems like a project created with the sole purpose of using the good name of Diablo to rub the players of their money. Definitely one of the worst games ever came out of Blizzard.
