    The game is Fun to some point. But the end game does not exist. 110k dol to fully upgrade a single char? That's end game? Its a **** to scam you as much as possible, using sick psychologic stuff to influence you. But the most disgusting thing is How blizzard laughts at the player base and always get away with It.     I gave this game a 1 because the gameplay is actually very good, it feels and plays like a standard Diablo. That is the sad end to the good. The game crashes and is buggy on both PC and mobile (PC more so but its in open beta so I can understand this to a degree). The story is forgettable with characters you couldnt care about and most die shortly after introduced to them anyway.

    The main problem is the P2W aggressiveness and predatory practices which ruins every aspect of the game. In the back of your head every hour you put into this game, you know someone is already months or years ahead of you just because they opened their wallet and spent 1000s. So what is the point in playing if you're not willing to pay? It's a WASTE OF TIME. You cannot win in PVP unless there are whales in your group. You cannot get great legendary gems because they cannot drop for you as a free to play player, only certain low star gems. The aggressive caps prevent you making any decent progression for free, a paywall is hidden almost at every corner and blatantly in your face. Winning wars as shadows/immortals a core feature to the game will come down to paying, battlegrounds comes down to paying, getting the best PVE gear and higher content is down to paying. As a free to play player there is simply no real way to get a decent footing in the game. You pay or you lose. At least you can enjoy the story mode for free. And even if you're going to pay, how long until new content makes what you paid for obsolete? It will happen, its just a matter of time.

    DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on this game. The flaws outweigh any good the game has. The game has many systems and surprisingly in-depth, however to scratch past the service is nigh on impossible for free to play players as getting some of the resources required will take you longer than what realistically is realistic. Blizzard dropped the ball with this one and went in on the greed. You have lost a customer and I will not be logging into any of your games anytime soon. This will be a lesson they probably wont learn from. Enjoy the easy millions in the beginning, but I hope most abandon this within the opening months and leave this dirtpile where it belongs, in Hell. FOR SHAME TO THIS COMPANY!    … Expand

    My expectations were met with how greedy Activision/Blizzard. This garbage is clearly meant for the Chinese mobile market and whales who can/can't control their spending impulses. I knew it was going to be bad when it was announced at Blizzcon 2018, but I didn't expect every MTX under the sun. People please view Skill Up and AngryJoe's take on this at YouTube. They are looking out for us.

    I think another critic said it best when they called the foundation of this game psychological warfare. Where there's smoke there's fire. Don't try to tell us it's not really fire because it's a pile of molten coal and there need to be active flames for it to be called fire. It still burns everyone.     By any realistic definition, this game is pay to win. It's sad, because the game play is strong for a mobile game. That said, society doesn't excuse a car-jacker if they choose to politely escort you out of your car instead of shooting you in the face. They still drove away with your car. They still stole from you. They're still a criminal. It's sad for all of the hard-working devs at Blizzard that had their blood, sweat and tears disrespected by a group of criminals down the hall.

    The legendary crests you buy from the shop which is called an Eternal crest is different from what you get in the battle pass . The difference is that eternal crests give you a 100 percent chance to drop a legendary gem while the free legendary crest only slightly boosts your chances.So if you want a guaranteed legendary gem you have to buy it and if you don't you will have to grind months to get it.
    You can also rank up your battle pass and get pretty much a ton of levels.
    This game deserves to be review bombed .And I will not be looking forward to Diablo 4 as this has ruined my Diablo experience forever    … Expand

    Garbage game, not even fun. Microtransactions beyond what I've ever seen before and I've played RoK... I am Paragon level 20 and I just can't take it. Utterly boring and not to mention the caps on grinding. I would get penalized for grinding.

    This is by far the worst Pay to Win game I've ever seen and the Dev's on this game clearly understand what they are doing. This kinda game making needs to stop. I played 5 min of it and on top of the micro transactions it to me is just a Diablo 3 re-skin. The PC (Beta) at the moment is a terrible port also.

And they put the items of real value out of the realm of possibility behind loot boxes with extremely low drop rates, so that people have spent 10,000$ on this game and still not gotten a 5/5 rare gem like they want.

    The menus are a disaster. The currencies are convoluted beyond belief. Tool tips cover the screen and don't go away. AAAAAND THEN THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM
    I wanted to play this game for the story (lol..) as an old Diablo fan. I'll just google the lackluster synopsis.

    I was waiting for the launch to play with my mom (yeah, me and my mom play a lot of games together) and it simply is p2w. If you want to play it without spending real money, the game makes sure your life turns to hell. So screw it, unnistalled and blizzard is all the way downhill.

    This game will take you about 3-4 hours to finished the daily tasks, and You know that you will not get the best gem you want in the game if you don't pay. I don't think everyone will have 10 years to waste on it.

    So buggy. Really buggy. Quest lines are bugged too. Don't know what the story is about, missing quests, battlegrounds are like crappy and when you cast a spell, nothing happens. When you press the keys: nothing happens.

    1 for excellent game play. Its Diablo on mobile.

    The rest is garbage. All the rng systems to gatcha spending are insane. I could imagin people spending millions on this game and still not achieving Resonance Armor with Legendary gems not to mention a Charm with a couple skills useful to you. I waited until end game to write a review. Well, here it is. Keep up the bad works    1 for excellent game play. Its Diablo on mobile.

    This game is absolutely abysmal and I have lost faith in Blizzard as a company capable of creating anything other then a half-baked cash grab. I was excited for Diablo 4 but after this trash I don't have faith in their ability to deliver a game worth playing much less looking at.

Anyone who says "you don't need to pay money, and it's your fault if you can't keep yourself from spending" isn't being fully honest with you. They can also argue "it's your fault that you're stuck in traffic if you drive to your job, instead of walking or riding the bicycle" but that's not really a "good faith" argument, is it?

    To anyone who says "you don't need to pay money to play it" or "too bad people can't ignore the monetization" you're ignoring that the issue isn't paying for a game. It wouldn't be an issue if this was a $30-60 game, and we only had to pay a one-time fee to unlock the full experience. You're also failing to recognize that they design the monetization to be ****Incredibly difficult to ignore / avoid / resist****

    They hire psychologists, to try to get every possible monetization hook with the highest success rates of enticing a player to spend. Even just $1 is enough for them, because it's a downwards slippery slope from there.

    Their in-game reward system is designed to activate your dopamine receptors, so you get addicted to their dopamine hit. They use that as classic Pavlovian conditioning to associate the dopamine reward with their game & the in-game market--all of this happens without the player spending a single dollar.

    That conditioning means that they've created a subconscious imprint in your mind, which links a dopamine reward with their game & their in-game shop. That's a subconscious link, which they purposefully intend to exploit. They do that by "starving" you of the dopamine hit & sensory excitement which they had been giving you.

    As you play longer, they slowly reduce the amount of "free rewards" you receive, and create a subtle expanding delay between rewards. The player doesn't notice this, because the system was already organically introduced in most modern games (think of the leveling/exp system). However they use this organic system to starve you of a "reward" which they conditioned you to expect. It makes you start craving it more and more intently. At that point since you already subconsciously associate their game shop with the "reward", you'll start to subconsciously open the game/shop in search of another "reward" hit or more in-game resources. This can even happen when you might just be bored, or exhausted, and your brain wants a quick "pick me up" then before you know it, you've opened up "Diablo Immortal" all on auto-pilot. This can happen simply because you started feeling anxious/bored/hungry--meaning that you don't need to actually have an actual desire or intent to play the game, in order for you to open the app as an auto-pilot behavior. That's what the predatory addictive "hooks" accomplish in mobile games.

    Again, you don't need to spend a SINGLE unit of currency, for this addiction to take root. You only need to play for longer than a week. Before you know it, you're wanting to spend money on the shop. Eventually you reach a point where you've spent $100-5,000 on a SINGLE game throughout an entire year. Don't believe me? Well just look at how much money they're already making on platforms outside of PC.

    That's the reason they wanted to make it a mobile-exclusive game. IMO they should've kept it mobile-exclusive, because I wouldn't be rating it 0 as a mobile game. However, I do not want this kind of "game approach" on my PC.

    This isn't very "cash money" of Blizzard Entertainment--though it is a cash printer for them, and we're the ink. It's a negative cash money experience for the player, after they play for a few minutes or days. Like I said before, that wouldn't be an issue if it was simply a one-time payment of $30-60. However, it's a slippery slope of spending.

    so you can only do battlegrounds once a day for 2 hours and if you're f2p player whales will one shot you and farm you. if you think you can compete for top ten ladder greater rifts then you are mistaken all those spots will always be dominated by whales so you cant compete at all. this feels like playing a game that has cheaters and you cant do **** about it .

    Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.
