Diablo 3 is a poor shadow of iteself, Blizzard with it's Endless crap like World Of Warcraft can't make decent games this days. Rest In Peace Blizzard.

Don''t listen to all of the idiots complaining about the server issues, and complaining that it's not Diablo 2. This game is downright amazing. It offers one of the best SinglePlayer/Co-Op experiences compared to all the crap tha'ts been out this year. The reason Blizzard is making it online only, is so people can't dupe and "cheat" in the auction house. Some people can't understand anything...

This is the first game in many years which absolutely will not let me play it. Two days of trying to install it, patch it and launch it to no avail. I've gotten it fully installed twice, only to sit at the welcome screen, unable to play because the servers are maxed out. I've had about 40 or 50 failed attempts to install it, and then maybe 20 attempts to patch it without success. IThis is the first game in many years which absolutely will not let me play it. I must say that I fell for the hype and pre-ordered the game, only to be unable to play it. I'm going to park it for a month or two and come back to it in time. I'm quite disappointed - this is Blizzard, not EA. I expect Blizzard to release it when it's ready, not when they have to. Rookie mistake by Blizz, and clearly a lot of miffed customers. Expand

Stunning game, well worth the wait. Nevermind the low review on this page as what they are really grading is the game during it's first couple of days, which has been filled with server problems due to a huge onflux of users. These will settle soon.
The game itself is awesome. Provides a great combination of customization, difficulty and just pure fun.
It's also super simple to play games

I'm currently on Act 2, taking my time exploring. Up until now its great.

No skill tree means you can't really customize your character. Cool down time of portion and town portal means it's not as fast paced and also too WoW like. Animations of monsters are not as good. It lacks the essence of what makes the first two Diablo great. Sorry, it may be not be a bad game, but it's not Diablo.

Despite an initial hiccup with the login/game servers and a few bugs here and there, Diablo 3 is a worthy successor to the series. The graphics are better than on-par for 2012, the skills are creative, the classes astounding, and the storyline entertaining.

Wow, what a terrible game, you would think a major company who has been developing the game for over a decade would do a better job then this, not to mention the after the release of the game it has already been soloed in 12 hours. I think ill cut my loss, and try to return it and wait for the release of Guild Wars 2.

Customisation is great, many viable builde, not only 2-3 ways to spend the points to gest best build... And if you get bored - you change it almost instantly. Story wasn't the important part of Diablo 1 & 2 and even hack'n'slash genre - but in diablo 3 the improved it a lot. All dialogs are read by actors, so you wont get lost in the middle of the game. And the story itself is pretty intresting.

I had small amounts of DRM - related problems, i belive they disappear in couple of days. I like the idea of on-line game, taht you can almost instantly join your friends, with real mony AH (which i can pay for blizz games) and the patches - because i belive that blizzard will work a lot to improve user experience. Worth all the money, dont listen to impatient hater kids. I was playnig thidty minutes after midnight (only couple of times had error 37) and no problems after that.

It's a game alright, well at least kind of. Of course this isn't that different from the old Diablo games, but this is 2012, it's a AAA-title AND the retail price was, well, outrageous compared to the content paid for... This kind of reminds me of playing tower defense games on my smartphone, only in this game you have only ome tower (you), and the innovative part is that YOU CAN MOVE... Woah... Buy it, play it, love it or hate it, but in my opinion you'd get the same thrill from playing whack-a-mole... Well close to the same thrill anyways... Expand

Great game, after the first hour of launch with everyone in the world trying to log in, access & gamepaly was flawless. I actually prefer the art-based graphic style that still looks good years later (ie D2) instead of the trend to hyper-realism and the uncanny valley.

Pls review the game not the connection issues which indeed is frustating but has nowhere to do with the gameplay itself and that should be the judgement criteria. Therefore 10 as counterscore.

Can't play the game when the servers are down. Think about five, ten, fifteen years from now. Is blizzard going to want you to play D3 or their newest iteration that you have to pay $100 for? Someday Blizzard is going to pull the plug and then this game and every other always-online game is going to be dead forever. Don't buy this game or support this practice by greedy developers.

The always-on DRM is reason enough to give this game a 0/10. It is an act of unfettered agression against their fans. The game itself is pretty good, so it gets a bump to 2/10

Common guys, why don't you simply skip the game and send a message?

It was known for a long time: single player totally f****d, no stats, skills and runes, 60$ price tag for unknown reason and finaly no demo, guest passes instead. DRM is more than enough to not buy the game, and the rest is not much better. It was clear before release that you get the game for children with special needs

The game is close to excellent. I don't need the perfect graphics, modern technologies or something outstanding. All I need was at Diablo. The only problem makes me sad is Battle.net connection required to play. I prefer to have a standalone offline version that has no dependence from outer servers.

My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.

For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]
