May 16, 2012I my opinion it does not live up to the hype, It is an above average can which you can have fun with for a fair amount of time. A severe lack of customization and a buggy launch with no option to play offline contributes to my score. But even without the launch contributing I would still give it no more than a 7.

May 16, 2012We wait 12 years in order to experience amateur hour in the launch of their Flagship game. Blizzard was a game company whose name was once a symbol of quality. What a complete disappointment and shame.

May 16, 2012This game is about an 8 or a 9 when you can play it, but as a single player game with an always on connection it thus far deserves no better than a 1. Single player games which you get lagged out of, or can't log in because servers are too busy aren't single player games at all. If Blizz wanted to make this always on, they should have just made this World of Diablo and called it an MMO.

May 16, 2012I'm just scoring low so hopefully Blizzard will wake up and realize that no one likes DRM, and no one wants 10 expansions until they make the next one...
Buy to win ****
**** lame man...Just lame. -
May 16, 2012This is perhaps the first time that I have ever purchased a game that literally is broken. I played maybe 10 minutes and I have been kicked out. Quite honestly feel as if Blizzard has stolen my 60 bucks by given me a sweet log in page that goes nowhere, really disappointing.

May 16, 2012Unworthy of the Diablo name. Blizzard has gone way down hill. This is uninspired and unoriginal. Story is the same as the last. Skill system eliminates choice. No offline single player. They are penalizing the customer to save them money from people pirating.

May 16, 2012Only days after the release and there is a TON of issues to be resolved (lagg / dissconects etc )
I DO NOT recommend buying this game untill the issues are worked out. -

May 16, 2012Expected more from the servers of the world leader in mmorpg. It`s so riddiculous to rely in internet connection to play single player. Are you scared of counterfeiting blizzard? Don't transfer your problem to my shoulders!

May 16, 2012a souless game where all game design decisions were made not to create a great game, but to make money on auction house transactions. severely dissapointing.

May 16, 2012I feel like I have to jump on the haters bandwagon. Seriously, I still cannot logon to play this stupid game. All the official reviewers are sucking from Blizzards **** Avoid avoid avoid. Torchlight 2 baby!!

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.

Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]

Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
