    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Very unhappy with it. 10 years of development for that? I think we could have expected much more. Graphics, Sound, Game-play. What's really bad is the forced internet connection and the unavailability of their servers. Ok, they sold millions of copies, but...this was expect able. I want to play, when I want to play. 10 minutes or 10 hours, during the day or during the middle of the night. So come on: Give us a offline mode! Expand

    I simply love it! I remember playing diablo 2 alot, and I also tried many mods for it, and diablo 3 really brings the good memories of the game. Its the best diablo out there, and the best hack and slash type game ever.

    I thought all the negative reviews were out of touch angry nerds until I bought the game and tried it. I know you're thinking with blizzards' awesome track record of fun games it can't be all bad - I have news for you: events are handled with blizzard servers and not locally thus lag outs are common, there is no stats, no skill tree, nothing just linear button mashing and unlocking of new attacks.

    Poor story elements, rubbish voice acting, reduced RPG elements, the auction house and forced online gameplay all ruined it for me. I am not against the RMAH, but building the game around it is just wrong and no words can justify the design decision.

    Serious disappointment. Takes everything fun about a loot-em-up and strips it away. Let's put aside the technical issues that have been plaguing users - days of downtime, auction house barely functioning or frustrating to use due to bugs (disappearing listings, placeholders, improper sort-by results) and just dive into the game. You can play this game for dozens and dozens of hours and make no progress in the improvement of your character - I can count on one hand the number of gear drops I've earned for myself in 60 levels of play. Everything else: purchased on the AH. Nothing fun about that, but if you don't do it, good luck progressing. So now I'm in Inferno and I have the choice of either dying to 95% of the elite packs I meet while trying to earn better gear - or mindlessly grinding gold on lower levels like a human meat battery in the Diablo matrix to buy drops someone else was disappointed by when they couldn't use the item on their main. I'd love to play this game and gear my lil' guy through finding gear mostly on my own. As the game stands now, upgrades will almost never come from your own gameplay, unless you count the thrilling gameplay of grinding gold until the number on the screen is finally high enough to thrillingly bid on AH gear and then thrillingly mail it to yourself. This game is pretty bad, and I've played some real bad games in my 25+ years of PC gaming. The saddest part is that there's a kernel of great game here that seems to have been brutally beaten into submission by poor technical execution, saddled with online servers, and anchored to an auction house system that has become (instead of a support system) the meta game you are playing. It's Auction House III, featuring a special guest appearance by Diablo. Sad let down for a once-great title. Expand

    I was really looking forward to Diablo 3, after several years of waiting, I was expecting something amazing. The game is very well done, but I just feel that the story could have been better and the world more immersive (no world map)? PVP will be interesting to see when it comes out. The AH was also done very well. Overall great game, but leaves some to be desired.

    - A very healthy environment for gold sellers who spam the general chat and ruin the economy;
    - Stupid items with incompatible stats;
    - Too short, it seems that only act 1 received some attention, the rest is just a breeze and act 4 is so short it hurts;
    - Graphics could be better, suitable to the year the game was launched;
    - The combination of skills found in elite packs in Inferno is stupid, you will kill them, but you will die A LOT. Also, they will NEVER drop something to make it worth the amount of time you spent on them;
    - Repetitive, neurotic and obsessive gameplay, driving you to do the same things over and over again.

    I could keep going. The game is addictive for those with a lot of time in their hands, but its completely crap for casual players. Hell, even Bejeweled is better than this.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Definitely a game to remember. The new Diablo mechanism with 6 active skills to be distributed and 3 passive skills is pretty great. I believe it was based on Guild Wars. The single player game is a great entertainment in normal difficult. The Nightmare is when the game really starts. In Hell, it is basically when the game calls for a multiplayer experience, which is great, by the way. The only problem with this game that makes the score a 9, not a 10, is the story. It's not a bad story, it is a normal story that the good wins, differently from Diablo 2, which Baal wins on normal game and the worldstone is corrupted on the Lord of Destruction expansion. The fact that all goes bad and on the end everything is alright is the problem of the story. What happened is something really huge and amazing when it happens, but the simple way that the "hero" solves the problem makes that problem appears really weak, which it is not. In terms of story, Diablo 2 is tremendously better, but it does not makes Diablo 3 a game to be forgotten. The gameplay and online experience will be there to hold a lot of players. Expand

Poor Loot systems so rare items can be sold in AH for cash transaction where Blizzard will take a cut. Char level until 60only max, expect future "expansion" that probably cost another 10USD.
