    Game total bugs, crashes, 5 days in a row servers down, lost characters, lost 8 60-80+ lvl on crashes on HC, graphics is very good but i cant play this game without stability.

    This game is not only just as good as it was originally. The controller support is superb. Playing the original Diablo2 had issues for my hands as they were begin to hurt from all the mouse clicking. The PS5 controller is ergonomic and allows me to play for hours without jeopardizing my ability to work my development job. The 60 FPS mode is buttery smooth and very enjoyable. The game balance is really good and difficult enough to be challenging your first play-through. I also played this on PC and Switch for various reasons and find those ports to be just as good (Switch can't do 60 FPS though). Other reviews here are complaining about server issues but I expect that it will be resolved and I also assume all the bad reviews won't be revisited once the servers are fixed so you should probably ignore them.… Expand

Various features were removed (LAN play was removed, No true offline mode, No mod support despite the promises, the servers barely work, no tcp/ip, females made ugly, no ladder or balances.     I have a very fond memory of the original game and I was happy when this was announced. I've been playing with work colleagues for a week now and there have been a few bugs that i noticed:

    - The multiplayer games sometimes are left hanging on the server and I can't seem to create a game with the same name - The game did crash out of the blue, tho that happened only once - Sometimes    I have a very fond memory of the original game and I was happy when this was announced.     Servers always shutdown last days! 4 days when people cant play on any platform.. Today (10/13) console (PS5) download new Patch and game show your characters, but when you click Play - game dont do anything! Thing is - if you dont downlodad this patch - game work! I check PS4 - there is no    I dont know what happen with Blizzard??? This is a worse thing i ever meet in game industry!!!

    D2R was released in September as a completed game. Blizzard's servers have been unplayable. Often, server down times result in loss of items and loss of experience. I do not recommend purchasing what appears to be an unplayable incomplete game.

    As a matter of fact - that is .. objectively .. the game is FAR from a revelation or jaw dropping. It is .. solid.     As a matter of fact - that is .. objectively .. the game is FAR from a revelation or jaw dropping. It is .. solid. For the most part - it is a remaster that does two things:

    - compatibility with modern systems (widescreen, resolution, networking)
    - updating the graphics

    The first point is the most important one, because the original Diablo 2 simply did not run on a modern system anymore (not without tweaking it more than simply installing the old CDs)

    The second point - ... well, it certainly got an update. Its graphics are modernized - and admittedly better than Diablo III - that is more detailed, less cartoon-ish. Especially the reflections and the light and shadow play is amazing (in levels like catacombs or similar)

    I would not say the graphics really up top of the line though. They "feel" about as good as the old graphics "felt" when it originally came out. (which is .. good enough, not amazing) - models look better, the environment looks better but still like the original one (so, it is a very faithful remaster) - the animations however are kind of bad - even compared to the old one. (they feel less dynamic and really unnaturally stiff)

    All in all, it is very nice to see a "dark" Diablo game with contemporary graphics .. that is challenging and well balanced.

    I am sorry to say that Diablo III, compared to Diablo II is like a "my little pony mod pack" on super easy difficulty. In fact .. i find Diablo III late game content about as challenging as a mobile app clicker game .. while Diablo II takes skill and situational judgement as well as thought (because you cannot simply respec on the go)

    A certain 9/10 for me (well, in the early days .. it has massive server problems, but i would not vote it down for it - as those are bound to get fixed soon enough)    … Expand

Even if ur lucky and the load is not that high, you can lose progress with a rollback, because: the servers are like werewolves, they only seem to work at a full moon.

    Sure graphics are better, boe-hoo. A 4k turd is still a **** turd.

    PS. I did not mention the Amazon Dafoe or some other things that got butchered, because I think I would need more than 5000 characters to swear a lot.    … Expand

    This game crashes more than every game ive ever played since the original D2 combined.....the idiots at blizzard must be all that's left after everyone left. GAME IS TRASH, dont waste your money.

Всего лишь стандартное "мы приносим извинения".     I was a long time D2 player back in the 00's. I loved this game. I was super excited to play it again. What was delivered to us was a steaming lump of pretty garbage. The graphics update was gorgeous. That's where the positives end.

    The lobby was better back in the day and is practically useless in its current form.     The lobby was better back in the day and is practically useless in its current form. You can't really search for games and your game will only appear on the list for so long before it's shoved down and no one can see it. Not that it matters because....

    The servers are routinely down 10-12 hours with no explanation and often come with rollbacks which means you lose gear and progress gains at random intervals. If you manage to get connected you are frequently unable to join friends games or public games and will receive error messages ranging from "that game doesn't exist" or is "no longer joinable". The BNET friends list integration is janky at best. If you managed to get into a game, good luck staying in it between the servers instability and the client's inability to run for longer than an hour without crashing. At first I thought that was just me, but no, it's apparently a large chunk of people that experience consistent crashing.

    The design decisions on the UI are baffling. For 12 years the D3 interface has had the exit button on the bottom right. The delete character button is now there and there is next to no difference between the delete character prompt and the exit game prompt. They claim they can't restore your characters but the ability to roll your characters back shows that this is either intentional, negligent or lazy as hell. It's 2021, who's out here running servers with no backup/restore ability.

    Blizzard has massive bank. There is no excuse for the state of this game. None. If you've got that much money and your product is performing like this you're just out here grabbing as much cash as possible and giving zero concern to your customers. Good luck on getting a refund, I've been arguing for two days that they've sold me broken garbage but have gotten no where. My advice to you is force a charge back. They've done nothing but bait and switch us at this point. The two Beta periods I was able to participate in were much more stable and functional than what has been delivered for public consumption.

    This could all have had some of the sting lessened if we were communicated with but that's apparently not in the budget either. We get nothing but vague patch updates and copypasta messages about investigating the issues.

    If you're like me and played this game in it's original incarnation, don't waste your money. That Blizzard is long gone. The old game still works and there are solutions out there for playing it on a modern system. You're better off getting your hand on that using the Plugy mod. It's much more stable, you won't have to deal with the servers deleting your stuff and you can back up your characters locally. Not that you'll have to, the old interface wasn't designed by an imbecile and works quite well.

    Save your cash. There are better games from better developers. This is just exploitation of my generation's longing for the games of yesteryear at this point. I miss the old Blizzard like a lot of people do but this current incarnation is not them. Not even close.    … Expand

    And please, for the love of... The problems with D2:R lie with the SERVERS of Blizzard, not with the GAME of Vicarious. Blizzard? Yeah, 0 / 10. D2:R? 9/10    … Expand

    Игра прекрасна и хороша но есть огромное но, в неё просто невозможно играть с другими игроками, поскольку постоянно не работают сервера. Попытки входа в игру в течение недели так и не увенчались успехом, а когда получалось поиграть то сервера откатывали и всё что я выбил у меня отнимали. следовательно игра не стоит ни своих денег , да вообще бесплатной должна быть с таким отношениемИгра прекрасна и хороша но есть огромное но, в неё просто невозможно играть с другими игроками, поскольку постоянно не работают сервера.     Another awful launch of Blizzard game. We had Warcraft 3: Refunded, now we have Diablo II: Refunded. five days after the launch and still can't play.

    Almost a month after it's release, and the game is still experiencing daily server crashes. Technical support is a joke, they are unable or unwilling to fix the problems. Better to stay away, at current state it's not worth a single penny.

    Impossível de jogar com esses servidores, não sei como a blizzard com esse tamanho tem uns servers tao ruins. Desde o lançamento até hoje, exatos 20 dias, o problema persiste. No período matutino, impossivel de jogar. Uma pena essa empresa acabar desse jeito...

    Diablo II: Resurrected is far from perfect. The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences. While I appreciate that this legendary title is now available in an improved format, it’s not a caveat-free recommend.

    Diablo II: Resurrection is outdated return of the legend, but it brings such a perfect atmosphere and such a wonderful audiovisual processing, that serie fans will be excited.

    Diablo II returns with refreshed graphics and unaltered gameplay (apart from some small improvements). It’s as fun as I remembered, so I quickly felt at home and gave in to nostalgia. However, it’s hard not to notice that beneath revamped visuals lies a 21 years old design. [12/2021, p.32]
