    As much as I loved D2, I couldn't bring myself to go back and play it at the low resolution that it was originally released with. D2:R fixed that issue, and so much more. I will admit I didn't play this at launch because I only play ladder, so I completely bypassed all the server issues that occurred during the game's launch.     The only nagging problem I have with the game is that game finding is still a pain, with constant refreshing, and unfortunately seeing the same open games over and over again, some of them being third party sites trying to sell gold/items/whatever, and the games never seem to disappear.

    I would have given a higher rating, but during an internet outage awhile back, I wound up being unable to play the game, even single-player, because it required me to get the latest patch... which I couldn't because I had no internet. Instead, I went and played games from Steam, because at least that's a company that understands that sometimes your internet drops and doesn't force you to be online and have your games up to date... for OFFLINE play. Seems rather straightforward, but Blizzard today is no longer the company we grew up loving and rooting for.    … Expand

    Completed Diablo for the first time. Played solo. The gameplay across all acts is boring. Repetitive actions all the time. The most exciting about this game is cinematics.

    Severe technical issues and a distinct lack of design or quality-of-life improvements leave this dusty nostalgia trip choking on the dust and cobwebs from 23 years ago.

    I liked the game, but playing it alone was not a good experience for me - I will play with my friends later.

    I was having fun at some point, but then the game started to feel kinda repetitive. With friends, I wouldn't care, but playing solo evidenced it. Also, the storytelling could be better. I felt so disconnected from it, even trying to understand and engage as hard as I could.    I liked the game, but playing it alone was not a good experience for me - I will play with my friends later.

    BUT the aMANzon looks like a tranny! WTF is up with morons nowadays making women as ugly as possible? And why does the Paladin now have a hairdo from the 70s?? Since I only play as a Necromancer I can overlook these faults and it's not a complete failure.

    beautifull remake from vicarious. **** servers from blizzard. Sadly making this unplayable as servers have been going down nearly daily since launch. I gave them time, its been 3 weeks.

    update: halfway into season 1 and it runs... better. still not where it should be at but hey i'll take it, since its my last blizzard product if immortal gives us a look into blizzards future.

    Most of the complaints are about server problems and whatnot, if you can actually play it's pretty solid. Though $40 is a little steep.

    One time was enough for me. There was no desire to go during the season. Diablo 3 imho is more replayable.

    Great game that brings back nostalgia. Too bad shoddy programming and general lack of caring making this "resurrection" only OK. Server issues and bugs still abundant 7 months after release. I miss the real Blizzard.

    Absolutely beautiful and detailed graphics, but sadly terrible performance and modernized quality. Blizzard didn’t test and polish this game, lag between the original game that runs in the background with the new graphics as an overlay, so you’re playing but with moments that things are working because it is not registering with the original game, very frustrating.     Сначала опишу проблемы, ужасный неткод, монстры телепортируются, урон не проходит, тебе может прилететь урон от не прорисованной молнии или фаербола. Иконки самоцветов и черепов рисовал студент первого курса дизайна. Лица и фигуры женских персонажей рисовал женоненавистник с женофобом вместе. Лица ужасны, все голые, в оригинальной игре, части тела замотаны и спрятаны.     Теперь хорошее: это прекрасный ремастер, монстры и окружение перерисованы фантастически. Геймплейные изменения сведены к минимуму, по этому играется точно так же как 20 лет назад. Дополню, через 2 недели в это стало невозможно играть, сервера лежат уже неделю. ___________________________________________________________________________
    First, I will describe the problems, a terrible netcode, monsters teleport, the damage does not pass, you may receive damage from an unpainted lightning or fireball. The icons for gems and skulls were drawn by a first-year design student. The faces and figures of the female characters were drawn by the misogynist and the misogynist together. The faces are terrible, all naked, in the original game, body parts are wrapped and hidden. And the Amazon in general is like the twin brother of the necromancer. There is a disgusting bug, the drawn map of the area remains after a restart, which is terribly confusing. You go like to the passage on the map, and there is a solid wall. I really hope that all this will be repaired, there is already very little left for faith in Blizzard.
    Now the good news: this is a wonderful remaster, the monsters and the environment are fantastic redrawn. Gameplay changes are kept to a minimum, so it plays exactly like 20 years ago.    … Expand

I highly recommend this game to new & old players and encourage people to play Offline and research the game online to understand the many game mechanics.     Despite of the poor performance of the network server, the insufficient improvement of the graphics and the high price as a remastered, Diablo II itself is still a great game.

    Solid game but the logging in queues and very grindy nature means it not a game I could recommend to anyone. The new graphics are brilliant and nice to have the graphics switcher also!

    В игре прекрасно всё, кроме сетевой составляющей. С момента релиза прошло больше месяца, а поиграть сетевым персонажем до сих пор невозможно. Либо очередь на сервер, либо вылет.

    A fantastic game and a remake that's faithful to the original; it plays smooth, graphics are absolutely amazing. Each act is a joy to revisit. I always found act 3 especially repetitive and bit slow in the original, this is just so much more fun with the graphics overhaul. The gameplay is solid but apart from minor quality of life improvements this is mostly because Diablo 2 is simply justA fantastic game and a remake that's faithful to the original; it plays smooth, graphics are absolutely amazing.     Really do not get the terrible reviews on this game. Being a fan of the original, it was great to be able to play the game again and find and amazing visual upgrade. I also really liked the minor upgrades in convenience they made. Having said that, you do get the feeling that Blizzard was SO affraid to piss off their fans, that they actually didn't upgrade the game enough. Not a new Diablo game. Therefore, I think this is a solid 7. Not a single point more, because of their fear to actually improve the game, but no less because they actually did not f it up.… Expand

    Being a old school and long time Diablo 2 player, i will say it's the game i used to love and play way back in the day. However it seems they didn't fix some of the issues it had since then, which at times is pretty annoying, especially if you consider paying money for this game (40 Euros isn't cheap tbh).

However it seems they didn't fix some of the issues it had since then, which at times is pretty annoying, especially if you consider paying money for this game (40 Euros isn't cheap tbh).
    It's because i would have liked seeing them release a fixed version (i still have all my old and later disc / dvd copies) for that amount but unfortunately they haven't done so yet. There might be fixes or patches coming to address the faulty hitboxes and pathfinding issues etc it currently has a lot of.
    Other than that, it's a fairly stable game with a steady player base, and the entire game including expansion to keep you busy with for quite some time even for casual players..
    I'll rate it 7/10 but that's because i loved the original which to me personally is still a far better version, and the 2008 version is actually better than this one as well, no lie i can play it perfectly on Windows 10 without that much adjustment needed to run it smooth as butter and on 1080p.
    But hey, hopefully this game gets the help where it needs and afterwards i'll gladly rate it higher than a 7/10. For now, i just can't but nonetheless i'm enjoying Diablo 2 Resurrected despite its flaws.    … Expand

    Баги остались, игра часто вылетает.
    Деньги вернуть нельзя.

    Графоний класс, на этом плюсы всё. Нет модов (модеры сказали - делать не будем без сетевой игры), кастомных серверов и TCP/IP нет. Цензура напрягает. Ну и вся игра через Battle.net который 3ий день подряд ложится на 2-5 часов в дневное время, и данную ситуацию не    Diablo 2 Disconnected Хорошая игра.     Играл несколько часов без остановки, почти закончил 1ый акт и тут у меня пропал персонаж из игры. Думал восстановят всё через пару часов, но нет - персонаж пропал навсегда.. Сама игра отличная, но это скорее заслуга не нынешнего состава (в особенности руководства) компании, а ещё тех специалистов, которые в своё старое доброе время пытались вложить душу в продукт. Казалось, что после провала Wacraft Regorged чему то научатся, но жадность и безразличие к комьюнити взяла своё. Для меня это уже не та компания из старых добрых 90х, которая задавала тренды.     It's sad because it really is amazing how good it looks and plays. Being able to use a controller to play it completely changes the games feel. I've logged hundreds of hours in the original, but playing it with a controller makes it feel like a whole new game.

    Even with the lack of an open multiplayer support, this is still a game to think about. I wouldn't spend $40 on it though.    … Expand

    nice graphics for locations - builds even better atmosphere than original game.
    characters models and animation - controversial (playing as a werewolf though, I think this one gains a lot with remake).
    have not experienced many bugs yet

    Aaand im not care much about Female character design changes cuz im playing necromancer.

    В моем понимании самая важная штука когда вы далаете обзор игры, это возможность сыграть в эту игру. Но вот уже 3 дня подряд я не могу этого сделать, я просто не могу подключится к серверам игры. В лаунчере близов написано мол мы знаем об этой проблеме ждите. 3 дня жду, окей, найс покупка.
    Графен годно переработали но вот косяки с онлайном это такой детсад, на дворе 2к21 год, вы до сих пор не научились не обсираться на запуске важных игр? Дьябла могла отмыть часть репутации близзов, но им видать это не интересно.
    Смена дизайна женских персонажей меня особо не волнует т.к я играю брутальными мужиками.    … Expand

    Diablo II: Resurrected is far from perfect. The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences. While I appreciate that this legendary title is now available in an improved format, it’s not a caveat-free recommend.

    Diablo II: Resurrection is outdated return of the legend, but it brings such a perfect atmosphere and such a wonderful audiovisual processing, that serie fans will be excited.

    Diablo II returns with refreshed graphics and unaltered gameplay (apart from some small improvements). It’s as fun as I remembered, so I quickly felt at home and gave in to nostalgia. However, it’s hard not to notice that beneath revamped visuals lies a 21 years old design. [12/2021, p.32]
