    Amazing graphics and atmosphere, but terrible technical side. Tons of bugs even in singleplayer. Online still do not work properly. Even Vicarius can't fix blizzard

    Can't trust anything Blizzard releases nowadays, after the Warcraft 3 fiasco they manage to screw up the Diablo 2 remaster as well. How can they be so incompetent nowadays? Maybe because all the competent people left after they merged with Activision. I gave it a 4 because this one is somewhat fixable, unlike the Warcraft 3 Reforge which was a complete disaster through and through.

    You have verrrrry limited storage and you drop ALL YOUR GEAR when you die. Oh god it is a frustrating mess that doesn't deserve the hype, it's all nostalgia goggles except for the art design and atmosphere, which are excellent

    Extremamente decepcionado. Não ficou um lixo como Warcraft 3 Reforged, mas possui inúmeros problemas pequenos e grandes. Arte de personagens infiéis e muito inferiores aos originais, cenários menos macabros e impactantes, animações estranhas, excesso de censura (menos gore, símbolos satânicos, nudez, etc), isso sem contar os inacabaveis bugs ridículos e ausência de coop por lan/offline...Extremamente decepcionado.     The actual game is great (all though some stuff has'nt aged that well and could have been fixed - the constant potion managment, the some-what confusing character building system).
    The server issues are however weigh down heavily on this game. If you create an online-character, you cant play the game (even solo). And that just happended to me now a couple of days after I bought it.     Blizzard gives you no ETA when things will be resolved either. Feel like playing the game you paid for on a saturday? Well, to bad cause Blizzard decided to do a maintance fix...
    There is no legit reason why you should'nt be able to play the game SOLO with your online character and then just post the progress to the server when they have resolved whatever issue you had. It would be bad enough that you cant play with friends online when they have issues, but that you cant even play solo with an online character when there is a server issue in this game is just unacceptable. Hence the low score... If you buy this and create an online character - you are at the mercy of the blizzard IT team which seem to be far from capable of keeping it running smoothly.    … Expand

    This is a classic diablo 2 remastered, yes. It has nice graphics and sound but It lacks any innovation and QoL improvments. They could have done so much more than just upgrade the graphics but they really didn't. It sometimes is annoying to play cause the game aged incredibly bad. It's still a classic and worth a while, but there just isnt enough content to please a lot of veterans thatThis is a classic diablo 2 remastered, yes.     The game itself is just what it should be: pure Diablo II experience as it was back in the 2000s. However, what drives me crazy is Battle.net, and this is the only reason I don't give this game a solid 9/10.

    The Battle.net client keeps crashing constantly. Literally after every click it goes to "not responding" state despite of me reinstalling it four times. If I want to play D2R,    The game itself is just what it should be: pure Diablo II experience as it was back in the 2000s. However, what drives me crazy is Battle.net, and this is the only reason I don't give this game a solid 9/10.

    The Battle.net client keeps crashing constantly. Literally after every click it goes to "not responding" state despite of me reinstalling it four times. If I want to play D2R, getting it run may take up to 10-15 minutes due to this annoying Malware client that has to run on the background in order for D2R to run.

    This problem seems to be very rare, but for those who have it, it's very real and totally ruins all Blizzard games.    … Expand

    The game WOULD be great if Actiblizz could fix the servers.
    I don't understand how people can give his a pass. The rollback is insane, happens all the time, there is ALWAYS a queue to play that takes 30-45 mins and if you're playing during peak times it can easily take over an hour. This makes it UNPLAYABLE
    When the stars align and the servers are in working order, its a great game.

    They built in battle.net as a required component, however they didn't bother to add any means of inviting friends/joining a friends game. I didn't want a entirely new game as Diablo 2 was already great, but for the    Mediocre launch for a 20+ year old game. Week one servers were a disaster.     While Game brings nostalgic of my childhood memories, it's not great polished game. Control isn't very smooths comparing to POE or any other diablo-like games. But what most frustrating part of this new remastered is constant Connection lost during gameplay. Just under 1 hour of playing time, I was already D/C 5 times.     Preordered and was excited to play. The game launched and I was feeling the excitement to play this legendary game from childhood, the next 15 hours were spent troubleshooting why the game would not launch. After many hours of searching forums and hearing other players' issues, I found out the issue is related to an AVX issue, been 24 + hours, and still no patch.

    Technical issues with the servers aside - the game is far away from the classic.

    The movement is optimized for controller. You'll reconize it pretty fast when playing as a melee, cause the character box is bigger, you'll block each other melee party member often. Walking close to along a wall and the movement feels weird, like disoriented.

    It is not worth $79 NZD. There is nothing that this remaster provides that you cant get from mods. Maybe not the level of graphics but the disparity between the mods and this remaster is not enough for a AAA price. If graphics is that important to you then by all means dump money into this but I advise you to reconsider and just buy the original if you truly want to play this game.

    The Gameplay is fine and of course a bit more refined but once again now that we have this remaster, the modding community will easily give an alternative. It's much better to save your money and watch a couple of modding tutorials.

    I see a lot of people complaining about the censorship that the female cast has gone through and I completely understand their frustrations. There is nothing realistic about this game. There are all sorts of magic that the characters use that break the rules of reality yet they draw the line on attractive women. Girls love sexy guys and guys love sexy girls. This will not change. The devs need to realise that the majority of the player base is, unfortunately, boys that ooze over attractive women. They are ultimately hurting their bottom line with this. Resident Evil 8 proves how profitable sex appeal is in video games and Blizzard would love to see that kind of revenue.

    I only give this game a four because Diablo II is a great game and for me, this was a very optimised release. Although I do regret buying this game and would never buy another Diablo remaster, (mainly cause I don't feel comfortable support this developer), I couldn't speak honestly on it without buying the game.

    The game is unstable for me and I keep getting locked out from my barbarian. Aside from that frustration I also dislike the weird censorship they've done throughout the game. Why censor skin yet leave all the blood and gore? Its bizarre to me. Feels like I'm being treated like a toddler or something.

    Since release on sep 23 there have been ongoing login issues and it is now october 12. I cannot most nights reliably make a game do my magic find run and remake a new game without some sort of server error even after 30 minutes, Blizzard yet again dropping the ball and failing to deliver on what there customers want.     I loved this game back in 2000 and this is the only reason I give it 4. Firstly connectivity issues is just not funny joke. Secondly design of characters Diablo should be gore and bloody and amazon and sorcerres shoudl be sexy. I can imagine that redesigned characters fits much more to what we can imagine as when we think about amazons but it looses it's orginal character.

    Core game is fine, however servers are giant **** Every day disconnects and not able to login to battle.net and Blizzard is apparently incapable of fixing/communicating properly.

    Amazing looking environments, awesome reworked cinematics, nice ingame FPS but fries your GPU a bit, and completely ruined updated character models (catered to woke pressure and because of blizzard lawsuit drama). Naked dead women is fine but a bit of skin on your amazon (whom is now 50 years old btw) is too much. И даже опуская изменения в местах, где этого было не надо и о которых фанаты не просили - все равно игра могла бы быть не плохой. Но, проблемы с серверами все рушат. Вместо того, чтоб их исправлять - Близзард ввело очереди. Наверно у компании нет ресурсов на решение проблемы - все пустили на переименованиеНа самом деле печально.     Да, в ремастере на данный момент большое количество проблем, но все таки в графическом плане работа проделана колоссальная.
    Однако жадности Котика может позавидовать даже Гид из первого акта. Для меня TCP/IP сетевой режим был всегда основой игры с друзьями. Локалка в университетской общаге в начале нулевых, затем локалка провайдера, а потом уже собственная    Не могу поставить этой игре 0.

    А теперь в ресурректеде была объявлена совместимость с сохраненками от 1.14... Накой мне эта совместимость, если я не смогу поиграть с друзьями своими старыми персонажами. Поделиться с компаньонами предметами из сетов, которые годами собирал (попробуйте собрать фулл сет Гризвольда в одиночке). Да и никто из моих знакомых не захотел покупать ее по той же причине...
    Исход закономерен, что бы там не говорили в отчетах доходности компании... Доверие дьябломанов к нынешним «близам» нарушено, и я готов наказать их в будущем монетой, игнорируя последующие игровые продукты.    … Expand

    Diablo II: Resurrected is far from perfect. The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences. While I appreciate that this legendary title is now available in an improved format, it’s not a caveat-free recommend.

    Diablo II: Resurrection is outdated return of the legend, but it brings such a perfect atmosphere and such a wonderful audiovisual processing, that serie fans will be excited.

    Diablo II returns with refreshed graphics and unaltered gameplay (apart from some small improvements). It’s as fun as I remembered, so I quickly felt at home and gave in to nostalgia. However, it’s hard not to notice that beneath revamped visuals lies a 21 years old design. [12/2021, p.32]
