    I paid $60 for this game at launch only for the devs to remove all content in exchange for some of the worst microtransactions I've seen in gaming. The only excuse that these terrible developers have come up with to justify these terrible practices is that the game is "free to play". This is not including all of the season passes and dungeon keys. Even then, these expansions have a lackluster amount of content that does not make it worth its high price point.

    If you're looking to play this game solo, then good luck. The only time I would see myself somewhat enjoying this game is if I had friends to play raids with, which is something I unfortunately don't have. As a result, I found myself getting bored of this game very quickly. The feeling of greed has consumed Bungie as they don't care about their passionate fanbase. Whatever you do, please DO NOT financially support this company. If you're looking for another game that has a similar style of Destiny, I highly recommend playing Warframe. At least in Warframe you're able to experience most of the game's content for free. **** YOU BUNGIE.    … Expand

    As someone who started playing in 2022, I have to say that it was fun for the first 50-100 hours. After that, the game got repetitive. And to keep things exciting, instead of getting stuck in the same old routine, I needed to buy extra content.(441 hours and 100% completion)

    I find the haters bitter, twisted & deluded. I've been gaming for decades & Destiny is unmatched now and for the foreseeable future. As a shooter looter there isn't even a competitor in the ballpark. Simple as that. Haters gotta hate, if shooter looters aren't your genre then go back to Minecraft or Sim 3.

    it was "ok"-ish, had a group of friends to play with, pve content (as it arrived at the time) were good, but took too long to wait for, thats why most of my friends quit.

    le jeux est super même si il faut payer pour avoir plusieurs mode histoire les graphique, les personnage et les dialogue sont sympa et très bien d ailleurs pour les dlc il faudrait juste attendre qu' il soit en réduction mais le jeux est plutôt bien

    Boring combat, confusing system and frankly illegal paywall setup to maximise profit over consumer.
    I've poured maybe 50 hours of repetitive gameplay into this with 0 growth as I refuse (and frankly don't understand) how to use their billing system as everything seems to have 4 or more separate charges to work!

    I spent 630 hours in Destiny 2 and I really like this game, thanks to it I experienced a lot of positive emotions. But then why is the score so low?

    Not a fan of the game in general due to how it near forces you to spend money on it to enjoy it fully. Nor the practice of vaulting items either. Fun to play with friends if you want mindless PvE, but PvP felt horribly unbalanced.

    This is stupid and I have no idea where the stuff went, did they make it free?

    The content vault locking is one of many dumb decisions in the modern Industry.

    Destiny 2 is the best game I have played in years. An MMO with a great single player campaign. Customization out the ying yang. Graphics are just incredible on my Nvidia 1060 3GB, believe it or not. Runs perfectly and Bungie has created a masterpiece here. I absolutely do not understand the hate for this game. I have only 6 hours in and have barely scratched the beginning. ControlsDestiny 2 is the best game I have played in years. An MMO with a great single player campaign. Customization out the ying yang.     I didn't play the first Destiny and I don't need to. I bought this game at launch... It sucked. And honestly doesn't look like it's changed much. Gunplay is ok but the core loop is repetitive and just not fun.

You get 1 point each ten times you do this. 10 points and you can shove 2 lit matches up at a time. and after so long you can join 5 other people in a competitive nostril match competition that if you shove enough matches up your nose andI have played this game for 36 days,1 hour and 32 minutes as of this day.     Играю с самого релиза игры. Плюс играл в первую часть. На данном этапе(Королева-Ведьма) игра просто ужасна. Старый контент который ты купил просто вырезают, а потом продадут тебе под новым ДЛС. Банжи похоже уволили всех тестировщиков. Каждое ДЛС выходит с кучей багов. Причем многие мешают продвигаться по сюжету. Сетевая часть подходит только для ПВЕ, в ПВП играть почти не возможно.(УронИграю с самого релиза игры. Плюс играл в первую часть. На данном этапе(Королева-Ведьма) игра просто ужасна. Старый контент который ты купил просто вырезают, а потом продадут тебе под новым ДЛС. Банжи похоже уволили всех тестировщиков. Каждое ДЛС выходит с кучей багов. Причем многие мешают продвигаться по сюжету. Сетевая часть подходит только для ПВЕ, в ПВП играть почти не возможно.(Урон идет с задержкой, или вообще не проходит, а твой персонаж умирает за стенкой.) They can do this because you don't actually buy the DLC's. You buy a license to play the DLC's. This means they can take them away from you whenever they please.     대체재가 없다지만 심한 부분은 정말 이래도 되나 싶을 정도로 망가져있는 작품. 하나밖에 없는 루트슈터 MMOFPS라지만 다르게 생각하면 여지껏 유일하게 살아남았다는것만으로도 그 완성도만큼은 인정해야될듯.

    This game has the best hype train, PR, and marketing campaign. But honestly, all you do is shoot. Where is the story, personality, and rpg elements? None, absolutely none. You might as well be playing a COD or battlefield game.

    PS: pick Hunter because Warlock and Titan jumps don't work as good.

    Game is ok i guess , i tried it just before beyond light dlc . With paid dlcs . The way content is changing and the policy of season passes and new dlcs , got me a little confused . Story is just ok , the size of it did not seem very meaningful . Overall for me it was a neutral experience I would not recommend this game for my likings though .

    This game is the game of my life, his campaign mode is simply one of the best I've ever played. in fact there are things to be improved, but this does not overshadow the developers' care in the details, they are constantly working to make the game a better place to spend their free time.

    If you are gonna play the PVP part of this game prepare yourself to see EVERYONE using the same **** shotgun and sliding all over the map, to insta-kill you from 20 meters.
    There is actually no variety in the game, there are hundred's of guns but all you are gonna see is this name: Felwinter's Lie. Literally!

    I joined this game in Season of Arrival era and god that season was so entertaining and very eventful. I managed to get a very decent amount of gear, and also find a dungeon which is now my favourite (it's Prophecy). In this season, I really get addicted in this game. I was even so hyped when the season ending live event happened. I literally was awake from 1am till 4am just because that event.

    HOWEVER!

    In beyond light, something changed.
    The story itself was cool and entertaining and able to see Ana Bray again is a huge plus, also the whole story is around the Brays so it's not that bad. I'M still waiting Rasputin to return as an Exo lifeform. However the Season of Hunt is just....BORING.
    Wrathborn Hunt (or watever what it is) is repetitive and short and way to empty and boring. Loots are not that amazing (but the seasonal SMG is good so that's an exception), weapons are boring and the fact that Bungie brought back the Seven Seraph weapons from Season of Worthy just completely turned those new weapons useless and unwanted piece of trash.

    Also Bungie still can't separate the game between PVP and PVE which caused already so much problem like weapon disable, stasis bug which caused Trials of Osiris to delayed untill 18th of December. Iron Banner has only 2 new weapons and that's all. In Trials of Osiris, you cannot achieve all weapons because you don't have time to do it because of those delays. So the PVP content still screwed.

    But what about the raid, Deep Stone Crypt.

    Now that's a completely different story.
    I'm not that Raid type of player but god this raid is so good and bit easy but the lore behind is so good.
    I'm not gonna say something from the raid. Just play it and you will understand.
    Raid weapons and clothes are so good looking and very strong!
    The new raid exotic is just overkill.

    Also generic game problem: Bungie for the love of god! Please fix the problem when enemies just popping to somewhere else! It's super annoying when I'm using my super and the boss just disappearing and reappearing somewhere else! Thank you!

    You play this game so you can hang out with friends and complete weekly and daily bounties to get cool new guns to shoot.

    Ambitious but also safe. Novel but also comfortable. New and old.

    Now, let's talk about the Bungie reward system. Personally, I enjoy it. Being able to complete an in-game task and be rewarded cause I did it, is, admitedly, pretty cool. It does have its flaws. First of all, there are many challanges that require expansions, and very rarely does a free-to-play challange appear. Secondly, the rewards themselves are not that exciting, most of them are jackets and pins, sometimes you also get an in-game banner. Secondly, sometimes the things you need to do and the time0frames you are given to do them are just ridiculous.

    Hello. I really like the game. The new addition really brought life to the gameplay. I am a girl and I liked the fact that in the Russian translation they call me a girl, in games this is rare. I was happy with this approach. But after the update, more and more often in the plot and gambit, the offscreen voice refers to me as a man. It upsets me.
    Overall, the game is as great as ever.

As for storyline, this game is the continuation of Destiny, the first game. Though the lore pretty much calls it "the new light", 'new light' meaning new players(long explanation). It may seem to just throw you into a boat and not tell you how to operate it as some reviews have stated but I disagree. Remember when I said "new light"? Well I'll give a brief explanation as to why its called new light(without explaining 'the light'{thats up to you to find out]). New light refers to new players, as as new player, you have no clue what the game or story will be about. But at the start of the game we see a "companion" waking us up. This companion is important as you find out more about the story, you will find out more about your companion. Upon doing the introduction in the game we get several cutscenes explaining who that companion is and what you are. But remember, put your mind in your characters' shoes, you have no memory of your past and youve just been put under a spotlight as you fight for a purpose you are still searching for slowly but surely. As you learn more about the story, so does your character in a theoretical way(your character learns what they are and so do you). Then the rest of the story progresses through expansions and dlcs in the game, (2 so far that you can purchase).

    But why is it 7.5? you may ask. well I also have problems with the game. It may seem like having 2 dlcs you have to buy to progress in the game is a butt load of crap but I disagree. For a company to do this is reasonable and a good marketing ploy: people who want to know more about the game or want to have more fun with it will buy the dlcs. If they like it, they can keep it, if they dont, just refund before 2 hours of gameplay of course. In my opinion the two dlcs are fairly well written story wise. Doing what they did in one of the dlcs was a good move and a good motivator. But for a free content, you only get so much to do, which is not very much at all, after you finish the free expansions the game has, then what? it will just become mundane as you get the repetitive pve events and repetitive grinding.

    But then again, "why 7.5? You didnt explain that." Well its already been said, you simply just have to buy the dlcs to enjoy more of the game instead of have all that content in the game already and have the game pay to play. But also keep this in mind, Bungie puts up a new dlc every year, last year it was Shadowkeep, before that it was Forsaken, this year its Beyond Light.

    Another few minor reasons is that you will need friends to enjoy some of the difficult parts of the game: the dungeons and the raids, and those contain the good loots. So if you dont have friends who play the game(or friends in general OOF) then you wont be able to play those raids and dungeons. But there are clans and people in game you can befriend as well, finding people is ultimately up to you. The exotics or the rarest weapons and armors in game can drop anytime and some have to be acquired through the raids which again, if you dont have anyone to play with you wont be able to get it, so thats minus a point or so. this game also includes multiplayer game modes for the competitive spirits out there and I say its very chaotic so be prepared, CSgo and COD and all those games may have prepared you for pvp fps skills but the game also requires you to "build" your character, so if you dont build well you will be an easy target nonetheless. otherwise, its still fun to play. For the pve players, its got tons of events you can play in not to mention the raids and dungeons and campaigns/missions.

    Going back to story and lore, Destiny has probably one of the most richest lores in gaming that you need hours to fully get all the story, PLUS the ongoing story the game has; it just keeps on expanding. Some technical issues the game has is that it isnt compatible with some streaming softwares, one big one is OBS. graphics optimization is also very good for a PC game that will rarely have problems if you have a decent PC.

    But for those who argue that this game is repetitive after some time, let me ask you this, what about other FPS games? CSGO? COD? MW? Fortnite? Moba games like League? DOTA 2? Ovewatch? those games too are repetitive.    … Expand

    I've played Destiny since the first game launched. I've had to take breaks from it for one reason or another. Starting with the last few DLCs of the first game I saw things being cut that really shouldn't have been cut and things added that shouldn't have been added. The downward spiral started when Destiny 2 launched. You are given the choice of importing your Destiny 1 character,I've played Destiny since the first game launched. I've had to take breaks from it for one reason or another. Starting with the last few DLCs of the first game I saw things being cut that really shouldn't have been cut and things added that shouldn't have been added. The downward spiral started when Destiny 2 launched. You are given the choice of importing your Destiny 1 character, awesome. However there is no actual reason to import, no unique dialog options, no unique gear, nothing but false hope. Then in the first mission you loose everything and it was all set up as "Take back what you lost" its actually "Lets start from a Clean Slate" instead. Then the shift to seasons brought the F.O.M.O (Fear of Missing out.) This basically made it so you have to play insane amounts or loose out on gear, unless you want to spend $50-$100 to purchase season ranks. There is very little replay ability once the campaign is finished. usually limited to Raids, Strikes, and the randomly selected 3 weekly heroic story missions. The game caters to the hardcore no stop gamers who have no life and once they get everything they want either move on to another game or go into the PvP arena and make a nuisance of themselves. There is also a large emphasis on the Crucible PvP. all the gear gets balanced shortly after its released so there isn't an unfair advantage in PvP. This is more commonly called "being Nerfed" this ends up more times than not making the gear almost worthless. Doubly so for gear nerfed for PvP reasons as they become a hindrance in PvE. There is no realism, a sidearm user rushing a LMG while being continuously pegged in the face but still takes out the LMG user? Nope nothing wrong with that, perfectly good. Yea, I call that broken.

    Now large amounts of content is being cut out because they are concerned the game is to large and they want to release more content. Now we are back to FOMO. This game is not casual player friendly. If you can't dedicate 3-4 hours a night and a good potion of your weekend you more than likely will loose out on portions of the game, and even if you do you are at the mercy of RNG(Random Number Generators) for loot. You can run the same thing 50 times and not get what you are after. Its very easy for casual players to either get fed up and quit, or just burn out from doing the same content repeatedly to get something before its removed. There has been some fun content, like season 9. But it was season content and was pulled from the game at the end of that season. Heck some of the content was even pulled during the season. Also the Forsaken DLC things were looking up, but it didn't hold.

    Those who say the game has potential, i completely agree. However its unrealized and ignored potential. Example, Destiny 1 the Guardian could talk. Then near the end all of a sudden, nope they are mute now. Then in Destiny 2 the Guardian is still mute and the Ghost does all the talking. Am I the only one who misses the banter between the Ghost and the Guardian from Destiny 1? It added depth. Then there was the tease of voice lines during the Forsalen Campaign. But that was more of a slap to the faces, they only have like 3 lines throughout the entire campaign, otherwise nope, just Ghost talking again.

    The change of Ghost's voice. This bugged be as Ghost went from "I have seen things, I know things." to the whole "I'm in charge, you listen to me" that he comes off as whiny arrogance. That I put on those who wrote the lines and scenes and insisted it be more "light-hearted" Both voice actors can do amazing things, but can only do so much when what they do is micromanaged by others.

    A big issue is the games lacks content, and what content it does have keeps getting cut. The game supports 4k resolution, its NOT going to be small in file size. If its a size issue, make the game modular, so gamers have the choice what they want installed at a given time. Or if they want everything then they can have all 100GB+. As for FOMO, its a mechanic to try and force players to play more and/or spend Real Life money to keep caught up. its a disservice to players, same with Gaming as a Service. Too many games require a server to play and when the server is shut down, well, can't play the game again, even as single player. For this game you really need to think to yourself "Do i want to play for casual fun, or spend every spare minute I have playing in a complicated timesink of a downward spiral." Unless there are large changes, I see the Destiny series will continue to struggle, or fall apart completely.    … Expand

    Started playing the game was enjoying the first hours, then it became tedious and i still dont understand why..
    Overall the game looks dope and I did have fun at places but the game could have done better to explain to the new crowd like me who joined after the game went Free To Play..

    Destiny 2 приятная игра. Лучше слова я подобрать не могу. Здесь приятный сюжет, приятный кооператив и PvP, и, что самое важное, приятный геймплей. Destiny 2 действительно приятный шутер с большим объемом оружия и его видов. Игра не требует игроков платить    Спасибо Blizzard, что в свое время раздали игру всем желающим бесплатно.     Edit 2020: Definitely don't recommend playing Destiny 2 anymore due to them removing older content and putting a cap on gear and weapons forcing you to get rid of things you like using and equipping newer stuff, further making you grind.
    Also the more I played the more I realised how D2 has far too much time-limited content. This isn't fun they're taking this same bad decision further.     Good game but with way too many problems

    Nothing is really explained to new players
    You have to go out of your way to get the main quests
    Frequent disconnects and crashes
    Unbalanced guns
    Forced to start at power level 750
    Player collision that just gets you killed
    Several achievements broken if you don't own the DLC    … Expand

    Сейчас при старте игры выводится лозунг "Black Liver Matter". Такие игры нам не нужны, жаль что приобрел ее когда-то.
    A message is displayed at startup screen - "Black Liver Matter". I think NO, that statement is not valid.

    I don't like play shooters so much and online games as well but Destiny 2 could hold me because of the main story line. Now i'm playing the 1st DLC and feels the same. The game is great as a story game with its characters and the plot. But I what I certanly love is a warlock :)

    While Destiny 2 has a solid foundation and a robust story campaign, its endgame content feels a little lacklustre. The sandbox doesn't have a whole lot of depth, and plumbing each of the hub worlds for secrets doesn't feel that rewarding. Grinding Public Events, Raids, and Strikes with friends is definitely a lot of fun, but there's a huge disconnect between content being cleared and your character strength increasing. There's still a lot of room for Destiny 2 to grow but, for now, it's still got a few kinks to work out.

    In a nutshell, Destiny 2 for PC is the same outstanding game we played on consoles, but even more enjoyable thanks to spectacular visuals, masterful optimization and much more suitable controls. [13/2017, p.75]

    Play this great shooter with your friends, it pays off. Then it will offer hours and hours of great fun without the stereotype. But be prepared the endgame will thoroughly test your patience and willingness to grind. [Issue#280]
