Descenders is a great surprise. As we see too many dark Rogue-Like games in an heroic-fantasy style, Ragesquid offers a dramatically different approach with a biking game that will remind us of the best moments of the PS2 era and its extreme sports games, offering something modern and adapted at the same time. This game is hard, punishing even the slightest mistakes and making you sweat. On the other hand, you will get a welcome sense of achievement by succeeding. Descenders is an interesting piece for Rogue-Like and biking amateurs, with nice graphics and a killer soundtrack.

Descenders is a fun and challenging mix between arcade and roguelike genders with freeride as the perfect excuse. High speed, risky tricks and an infinite amount of procedural tracks are the pillars of one of the best surprises of 2019 so far.

A decent bike alternative to Steep or SSX with randomly generated levels and challenges.

Descenders is an arcade extreme downhill freeriding, a real tribute to the '90s.

Descenders is a yet another successful experiment in expanding roguelike concepts into new and different genres, along with tight controls, realistic physics, and easy-to-execute stunts. Randomized courses and great downhill play would have been more than enough to make it worth recommending, but the player choice of overworld maps and the risk-based scoring system raise it to another level. This is not to be missed for fans of the stunt biking experience.

Descenders is an exhilirating downhill mountain biking game with responsive controls, interesting progression mechanics and a fantastic sense of speed.

Descenders takes a valiant stab at integrating the fast-paced, stunt-focused gameplay of downhill sports with the procedural generation of modern games. Unfortunately, this combination robs the genre of one of its strongest attributes: handcrafted level design that players can dive into and learn from.

Lot's of fun on Steam Deck. Got it through Humble Choice and it impressed me, I don't feel like I missed any of the fun because all theLot's of fun on Steam Deck. Got it through Humble Choice and it impressed me, I don't feel like I missed any of the fun because all the content is there.

This game's career mode looks ugly because it's a 3D procedurally generated world with no baked lighting and weird textures, but the bike parks, free ride, etc. easily sell this game to me.

Game's fun if you like bikes. Extremely simple though, there's not many tricks and it's not amazingly realistic, just watch gameplays and decide if it's worth the price you find it. For me, it was a good surprise. The asking 20€+ price however is a bit too much imho
