There is a serious lack of 3d fighting games on the PC so this was a pleasant surprise. Graphics looks great, runs really smooth on my gtx970 in full HD.
I'm still getting to grips with the controls but there seems to be a large variety of moves for each character. There doesn't seem to be the ability to jump unless as part of a throw or preset move which feels a bit odd at first.

Love the ability to switch breast movement from 'natural' to 'DOA' mode lol.
Bottom line is its not going to win any awards for narrative or artistic content but its great fun nonetheless and great that the PC finally gets a modern 3d fighting game.

Pretty good game, stop comparing it against other platforms and see it on its own.

+ Graphics are beautiful and smooth. Though you need GeDoSaTo to unlock 4K rendering, it works. + Controller support with rebindable buttons. not sure what the other user reviewers are talking about. + Short load times + It's cheaper than the bloody console versions you idiots - Cutscenes limited to

    - Cutscenes limited to 30fps, the supposedly 'cinematic' framerate
    - Keyboard support is terrible. There are some of us that like tapping to fight you know.
    - No online at launch, not that I care. I understand that this is the same case as KT's other PC releases that fear it will cannibalise the market of their already available online games (DOA Online in this case).

Couple hours in, Dead or Alive 5 is amazing!
Forget the people complaining about poor controller support and lack of achievements. My xbox controller works like a charm and controls can be modified.
"But what about soft engine" Comparing this to my friend's ps4 version, i noticed no difference. Game also runs smoothly so it's not even badly optimized. I do hope that Tecmo and Team

I do hope that Tecmo and Team Ninja add the extra two levels and fix the problem, where changing your steam nickname screws your saves. Of course, delaying online for 3 months is disappointment but I
'll look forward to it. Don't look at the bad reviews about this. Buy it and prove them wrong.
I'll give this game 9/10 because of great characters and gameplay. Really hoping that save problem gets fixed soon.

Are people just reading the somewhat negative notes about this game and making bad reviews over it?

First off - I own the ps4 copy as well. I bought this version as DOA is my favorite fighting game of all time and I want to play it when I travel on my laptop. Here's a little detail about the difference between the two versions: Graphics: Don;t be so quick to dismiss the PC version.

First off - I own the ps4 copy as well. I bought this version as DOA is my favorite fighting game of all time and I want to play it when I travel on my laptop. Here's a little detail about the difference between the two versions:

    Graphics:
Don;t be so quick to dismiss the PC version. The graphics are basically equal on both versions (But I get a better framerate on my laptop). All this noise about the soft engine and some items being equivalent to the ps3 version is totally crazy. MAYBE if I bring my laptop downstairs and pause both versions side by side I'd see a difference....no guarantees. Giving this game a bad review due to the lack of the soft engine is like hating a hamburger because the bun has 2% less sesame seeds.

***Quick side note - I bought the story mode on PSN because I thought you needed it to get trophies....but there aren't any on PSN either. Very strange as I thought every playstation game was required to have them.

    Online:
No debate here....PS4 has full online with the cool share button features as well. No steam online for 3 months which would make this a terrible purchase for you if you only play online. I mainly play local competitive or arcade mode so I'm not missing out.

    Random thoughts:
The loading time in the PS4 is surprisingly good, but not nearly as nice as having the game installed on your SSD. Game is extremely fast on steam!

I have the wireless 360 controller for windows and it works flawlessly. No strange button maps here.

I'm using a laptop with a nvidia 770M (Which is low/mid range compared to desktop cards). The game runs flawlessly @1080p and I never see any slowdown.

People still care about steam achievements??? They're so useless O.o

Anyways... I do agree about the online functionality. Hopefully that gets fixed sooner than later. But all these other complaints seem really unnecessary. Go out and try the PS4 version if you really want to see the difference in graphics. The game play is identical, with the exception of the better loading times which makes a big difference for me.

It's a great game, no bugs no crashes and really enjoyable. 10/10

Fact: It's an Arcade port, not PS3 port which means it's better. To me, the PC version looks better than the PS4 version :)

I bought this game yesterday and although there is no online (bit crap) there is a 4 player local computer mode and an indepth single player mode (several actually) the difficulty ranges from simple to solid although some characters are just hard no matter what.

The controls!!! There is 4 options p1, p2, p3 and p4, which are all preset, HOWEVER!!! for all you blind people out there, there is a REMAP FUNCTION, it's where it says CUSTOM!!!! Not that hard to spot i didn't think although after reading a few reviews on here i feel as though my eyes and investigation skills must be bionic.

For me the very fact that this game has made it's way to PC just goes to show how far PC gaming has come, it is implemented in it's entirety, xbox 360 controllers work, physics (with boobs) are all in there, it's the full package.

The good: It's DOA on PC! Say no more.

The bad: No online for 3 months?

But: If after 3 months they release a rock solid online mode then I think this bad may actually turn into a good, because lets be honest here, it would have been a disaster if they'd have released an online mode and it would have been full of problems, if that was going to be the case then I can completely agree with their decision to postpone it.

Worth buying?: for £26.99 (10% off) Absolutely worth every penny, before you judge the game, read a bit about it from people who actually know fighting games, NOT from people who download torrents every five minutes and play their games for all of 30 minutes before getting bored and getting another one.

I love the game, but there are A LOT of DLC, all costumes just for make pervs paid. No extra contents. Definitively, you should spend over € 1,000 for the full game, and it's unfair for everyone. I prefer DOA2 Hardcore

The DLCs are expensive but most of them are worth it because of the fan service, very sexy outfits.
The rest of the game is perfect.

Owners of the PC version are faced with a difficult choice — either wait for the promised online multiplayer and enjoy the fact that it is a decent port of an excellent fighting game, or berate Team Ninja that Last Round lacks some odd features.

Without online multiplayer, all the stages and possessing visuals that are inferior to the console versions, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round manages that rare and horrible thing of making PC players feel like second-class citizens to their console brethren and in doing so, succeeds in heavily tarnishing what is actually a pretty incredible fighting game in the process.

It might have benefited Dead or Alive 5 Last Round to be issued into Steam’s Early Access program as, in its current state, is a lacking experience that’s below its console counterparts.
