    Good points:
    ✔ Has offline content
✔ Nice roster ✔ Nice training modes ✔ Happy to see the licence on PC ✔ Happy to see i18n options ✔ Some free unlockables. ✔ Base game is quite fairly priced. ✔ Gameplay is good. ✔ Pretty accessible 3D fighting game compared to the other big licences. Bad points: ✔ Unable to redefine keyboard keys or game device buttons. ✔ Online is broken.

✔ Online is broken. never worked for me.
✔ DLC are following a crazy overpriced policy. The full content costs over $700.

    What I liked:
    - Character models are eyecandy!
    - Core game is cheap! - Solid and enjoyable fighting game! What I disliked: - Lacks steam features for a steam game - Missing features/content like the vertical tilt in spectator mode, 2 stages - DLC is more expensive than the core game - Graphics was not pushed to it's limits - An incomplete product despite the release date being

For someone who has played the game in PS3, the PC version is graphically superior in comparison unlike what most people say, but still subpar for PC standards.
It seems more time was put into encrypting the files to counter modding than actually giving the game and the fans the PC treatment it deserves.

The game is pretty good in its own right and it was very nice to see at last the DOA franchise arrive on PC. Nevertheless the last minute cuts in graphics and arena were disappointing. Still it runs just right on my old PC so... Anyway it would have been 8 but its just 7 for bad last time minute. Hope another more rich version is coming on PC.

I played this game on Xbox One and I really like what Team Ninja have done. It's not just got amazing character models, but genuinely good gameplay with tried-and-tested mechanics. It's actually quite a deep and complex game if you actually bother with doing all of the tutorials, but the beauty is that it's mostly a pick-up-and-play title and you can have fun without really knowing anything about the intricacies of the game's systems. At its core, it's a rock-paper-scissors system. What makes this game particularly outstanding is that because it's in 3 dimensions, the stages actually matter and affect the gameplay; and each stage is unique, rather than being a static background image like in most fighting games.

The problem arises with the PC port. Whilst it's admirable that the game is free but you have to pay for the story and characters, costumes etc., the port is just terrible. There are issues with getting controllers to work; something of a definite no-no with a fighting game. This is most prevalent when starting the game. The game for some reason utilizes a single core heavily. I was at 100% load on my first core (i5-3470 with Tubo Boost enabled), and had to set the process priority to "High" in order to get performance above 18 FPS, even in the menus! The game is built on old technology but still looks good; though it runs terribly on PC as it seems to be almost entirely CPU-bound; with little GPU usage and doesn't seem to have been built with concurrency in mind.

Overall DOA5 is a great game but I can't recommend it on PC.

    Pros:
    - Solid fighting mechanics
    - Lots of modes and options

    Cons:
    - Terrible story mode
    - One of the most poorly directed narratives I've ever seen
    - DLC is incredibly overpriced and you can't even use the costumes in story mode
    - 30 FPS

Owners of the PC version are faced with a difficult choice — either wait for the promised online multiplayer and enjoy the fact that it is a decent port of an excellent fighting game, or berate Team Ninja that Last Round lacks some odd features.

Without online multiplayer, all the stages and possessing visuals that are inferior to the console versions, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round manages that rare and horrible thing of making PC players feel like second-class citizens to their console brethren and in doing so, succeeds in heavily tarnishing what is actually a pretty incredible fighting game in the process.

It might have benefited Dead or Alive 5 Last Round to be issued into Steam’s Early Access program as, in its current state, is a lacking experience that’s below its console counterparts.
